Great food, amazing vibes and good service. I had extended birthday celebrations at this place and enjoyed every moment. The staff responded to all our queries with smile 🙂 We were a big group and the staff made sure we are well accommodated. There are delicious options in starters and entree. Good ones for main course and deserts too. Had one of the best Nachos and fries. It was fun atmosphere around with many places to take nice pics. Outside sitting has great view but make sure to make advance reservations. Ample parking space around.

A great spot for good friends and drinks. The ambiance and decor are perfect for a night out with friends. The bartenders are so talented and make perfectly balanced cocktails. As for food, the pizza is really good. (I do wish the they would put a little more toppings on it but that’s my only real gripe.) We’ve had almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed so you can’t go wrong! For those of us into sports, they are big TV screens mounted all around the bar. Good spot to catch a game.

Absolutely loved the place, the bar was awesome, lighting was perfect , service extremely fast and friendly. Food and drinks were ok, but in my opinion it was missing taste. Menu has a good variety of items and prices are fair.

Beautiful setting for this restaurant. The service was great. Very attentive and patient. Our entrees were delicious and great presentation. The steak tips were tender and cooked perfectly 👌. The 🥦 broccoli was chard to perfection. Every dish we had, I would highly recommend. Especially the fresh oyster for an appetizer!! Would highly recommend to visit Mercantile restaurant well worth the drive 🚗!!

Overall it's nice. Food was good, nothing amazing. Drinks were good. Wasn't anything overall mind blowing. For the cost of drinks feel like should be mind blowing.

Food is great! Disappointed to come in on a Sunday (with an event at the DCU center) no availability. Sat at what I would call a park bench/slab not even enough space for the food asked several times to be placed on the cancellation list for a table for the 4 of us, no follow up. Several open tables (not shown in the photos) Again, great food but disappointing of the service from staff and manager.

A Heartwarming Mother's Day Experience at The Mercantile We had the pleasure of dining at The Mercantile on Mother's Day, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. The previous evening, after visiting our father-in-law at a nearby hospital, we found ourselves needing to cancel our original Mother's Day plans. Being from out of town, we were uncertain about where to go the next day. Upon explaining our situation to the staff, they were incredibly understanding and accommodating. They informed us that they would be opening early at 9 AM and welcomed us to come by to check for any cancellations. True to their word, we arrived first thing in the morning and were delighted to be seated promptly at a wonderful table. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. To our surprise, they presented us with a thoughtful gift for the mom at our table, which added a personal touch to our celebration. The Mother's Day specials were exquisite, offering a delightful array of dishes that showcased the chef's culinary expertise. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, making the meal all the more enjoyable. We are deeply grateful to The Mercantile for turning what could have been a challenging day into a beautiful and heartwarming celebration. Their kindness, generosity, and exceptional service made all the difference. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

Came here with a large party (11 people) and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great food and atmosphere, very lively on a Saturday night

Yelp
This was our first visit to The Mercantile and it was great. We sat on the patio with a nice view in front of the AC Hotel and had excellent, friendly service. The Oysters, Street Corn Nachos, and Smash Burger were delicious. The Fish Tacos and Tulum Crunch Salad were just fair. Overall, we'd recommend it for the atmosphere and a few standout dishes.

Yelp
The mercantile is great. It's one of the better restaurants in Worcester and turns into a fun nightlife spot at night. The food is great. We've come multiple times and it always fantastic!

Yelp
Been here a few times. Overall it's a nice place, it's like a sports bar meets fine-ish dining. Service, every time I've gone, always quick and polite. Even listened to us when we said we were in a hurry. As for the food... eh. I will say the small bites and starters were good. The bang bang shrimp and crispy broccoli were awesome. The main course, kinda lousy. One time I got the birria grilled cheese, it was 90% bread and onions, had trouble finding the cheese. Least favorite grilled cheese I've ever gotten, including when I've burned my own. Another time I went for the Mac and cheese. Basically it was like cheap veleveeta cheese that was slowly turning back into a brick. So either I just got there on a few bad days or they're not good with dishes that involve cheese.

Yelp
We arrived for lunch at about 1:30. The place was less than half full, and we were shown to a table right away. Our waiter was nice but not particularly attentive - it probably took him 15 minutes to get back to us after we asked for a few more minutes. Our food arrived after 25 minutes, which seemed excessive for that time of day. I had a Caesar salad with crispy chicken - the chicken was dry and cold - like it had been reheated. My friend had a BLT (good) and fries (cold). There are so many good restaurants in Worcester - I won't be recommending or returning.

Yelp
It's National Oyster Day & I'm hooked on The Mercantile's offer of $1 oysters with strawberry mignonette from 4-6, Monday to Thursday, is unbeatable. I also devoured their goat cheese bites, crispy broccoli, & boom boom shrimp, all incredible appetizers. My friends' mac & cheese with buffalo shrimp & lobster fettuccine were insane. To top it off Claire, our waitress, was absolute perfection. Back to the mac & cheese - top tier!

Yelp
After we finished the Van Gogh Experience at the Mercantile Center which is adjacent to The Mercantile restaurant, we quickly walked over for an early dinner. This was our first visit here, and we weren't sure what to expect on Valentine's day. The hostess greeted us promptly, and politely directed us to the bar since we didn't have a reservation. It was quiet and there were ample seats available at the large bar. Within seconds of our arrival, one of the bar tenders cheerfully brought us menus and silverware. Within a few minutes we ordered: Mercantile Burger(Medium Rare) WHITE CHEDDAR, LETTUCE, TOMATO. $17 Chicken Milanese CRISPY CHICKEN BREAST, LEMON, BABY ARUGULA, PECORINO, PICKLED SHALLOT. $24 Our order arrived promptly within 10 or 15 minutes, and the food looked good. The burger was nicely cooked, medium rare, juicy and thick. And the fries were hot and crispy. I'd be happy to have this dish again. The Chicken Milanese with arugula was very tasty, if not a tad dry. If this dish came with some sauce, it would be very good. I might not order this upon a return visit. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was excellent, and the venue was very nice, boasting a contemporary but casual feel. I'd be happy to return, though I bet this place gets very busy on Friday or Saturday night. They have a rooftop bar open in the summer, and igloos which hold up to 6 diners are open in the winter.

Yelp
The best salad I have had in a while! First time here and I already can't wait to go back. Great variety of food. Service was good, I was with a big party and staff were accommodating and attentive. Loved the Brussel sprouts and the goat cheese balls as appetizers. Perfect to share and cooked great! Main was the Mediterranean salad and I added the grilled salmon. Fish was cooked perfectly and the salad was a great big portion. Cool looking atmosphere with the exposed beam very industrial. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Went for brunch this time, just as good (maybe even better). Sat at the bar service of the drinks and food was very quick.

Yelp
SUCH a great place for lunch in Worcester!!! Great drinks, appetizers, and food all around! My girlfriend and I came here for a day, started off with some lemon waters and Buffalo saucy wings. So good! The bleu cheese dressing was so delicious and the wings were great as well, though I wish they were a bit crispier! Perfect amount of sauce, however. For the main course we each ordered a Mercantile burger-- which was DELICIOUS! One of the best burgers I've ever had in MA. The meat was so delicious, and the toppings were even better. We both got it extra-deluxe style with a fried egg, bacon, & avocado. Try it, you won't regret it. The fries and salad on the side-- 5 stars as well. Truly amazing food here. We will be back!!!

Yelp
This place is good to grab a quick bite to eat and a drink or watch a game. I came after work had a beer and ordered the smash burger with no bun with sweet potatoes and they got my order wrong. The burger was ok and the fries ok as well but nothing to brag about.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
This place has some creative brunch drinks featuring donuts and marshmallows! I had the eggs Benedict, it was good, but my friend had the skillet...it was HUGE and looked delicious! I liked that a small group was able to make reservations, we were seated right away, and our service was great! Only wish I lived closer so we could go more often!

Yelp
The Mercantile is perfect for getting a cocktail and relaxing at the bar but it's more of a brief stop rather than a destination. The menu offers a bit of everything but struggles to create anything noteworthy. Its appetizers disappoint particularly, leaving much to be desired. If you're hoping to get a drink and snack on some starters I strongly suggest going elsewhere as I've sampled most of them and none are particularly good. Ultimately I feel that it's a spot that is best loved for its atmosphere and handy location. If/when they revamp the menu, at least for the appetizers, i believe it would become much more enjoyable.

Yelp
The Mercantile is a Top 10 restaurant in Worcester. There is a fantastic bar area and the service is awesome. People have a great time when they dine here. It is THE place to be seen! I was expecting a bit more on the food menu here. I hoped for new and fresh like the outstanding interior. The food is good but may leave you unimpressed.

Yelp
Enjoyed an outstanding meal here tonight. My daughter and I were in town for a college visit at WPI from the West Coast. Saw some mixed reviews in yelp but booked a reservation anyway and no regrets. The service and food were excellent. A real gem for the Worcester restaurant scene...

Yelp
This is my second year spending NYE weekend in Worcester. The Mercantile was our saving grace after driving down from Boston and for some reason no food places are still serving after 10pm! I wish I could give higher than 5 stars for this review. Our server Xavier was a pleasure. He was personable and great for recommendations and answering our questions as a non locals. We ordered all of the IPAs on tap and recommended which order to have them in which was fantastic, as we ended with the most hazy. The Mercantile was the only place still serving food so we stopped in and I was impressed how good the pizza was. The margherita pizza was delicious just needed a tiny bit more basil. The white pie was a great combination of cheeses and fresh garlic that really packed a punch. The dough was light and fluffy where the crust was soo good to eat. My only complaint was that finding this spot was a little confusion coming from our directions and the maps said it was located in the center of the parking garage when it is actually on the outside of the garage. The interior of the restaurant had nice lofted industrial ceilings and a cozy bar feel to it with all the lovely Christmas decorations.

Yelp
My sister hosted my bridal shower here and they did an absolutely beautiful job. The buffet food was incredible and everyone raved about it. Their catering menu has so many great options. We rented a semi-private space but lucked out the only other guests upstairs were in the igloos. They had a bartender upstairs and never had to wait for a drink. They had plenty of tables and chairs, and it wasn't too crowded.

Margaret E.

Yelp
Food I've had both times I was there was yummy. One of those times was brunch and they actually had a very good band playing who I could've listened to all afternoon. Cocktails are good, too, and servers have been attentive.

Yelp
The Mercantile is a restaurant I've seen many friends/family rave about. Food wise it didn't hit the mark for me. For starters it was pretty easy to make a reservation on open table. As soon as we entered we were immediately greeted and led to our booth. Our waiter was very pleasant and checked on us multiple times which we appreciated. For my drink, I ordered the perfect pear which had vodka as the main spirit, infused with a pear liqueur which actually tasted very fresh and sweet. I ordered the boom boom shrimp as an appetizer which I appreciated the jumbo size shrimp, however perhaps I was expecting a more sweet chili like sauce pairing but the remoulade didn't really complement it as well. For my meal I ordered a Caesar salad with the steak bites (medium). The meat was not really seasoned, I utilized salt, pepper and our waiter offered steak sauce which I appreciated as well. If I were to return again, I'd probably try the pizza or fries.

Yelp
A blend of outdoor , mezzanine level and indoor seating . Music level just right. We were attended to right away and were able to put in our orders. Shrimp cocktail, Steak tips, Salmon portions all impressive.

Yelp
Delicious option for lunch in Worcester! A little pricey, but worth it every once in a while. My girlfriend and I ordered the saucy wings, which I feel lie could have been slightly crispier, but they were still really good! Where we were especially wowed was our burgers, which we got with every topping (bacon, avocado, fried egg, and ). These blew us away! They were juicy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. We eyed a ton of other dishes on the menu too including the chicken caesar salad pizza -- we're saving it for a future visit, and will definitely be back!

Dana T.

Yelp
Well, first off, the way the waitress spoke to us after we waited 20 minutes without being seated--despite there being no crowd or reason for the delay--was unacceptable. On top of that, about 10 minutes into finally being seated, we were interrupted and had our entire table cleared off because of someone else's belongings. I calmly asked for a different waitress, and instead, we were asked to leave. I'm not going to label what happened--whether it was discrimination or not--but what I do know is that I'll never spend a single dollar at this place again. I'd rather give that dollar to the homeless man outside, which I did
google avatar

Chandler M.

Yelp
Service was okay, waiter seemed ready to get us out the door so the big cheer squad could fill up another table, which was the worst part of the trip. Otherwise great food and service. Just wish we had more time.
google avatar

Yelp
My Korean Braised Ribs were delicious and satisfying. The ambiance and vibe here is chill and totally the kind of place where i'd be a regular if I were a local. The staff were great and very responsive. Would definitely be back if I find myself in Worcester.

Yelp
Trendy + Modern spot in Worcester! We loved the atmosphere and service was fast and friendly. Really enjoyed the brunch items and specialty cocktails, especially the Persephone cocktail and the Potato Skillet and Tiramisu pancakes. We also noticed igloos available for outdoor seating on the rooftop in winter.

Michael K.

Yelp
had lunch today June 19 our serverMegan C. wha a pleasure she is !! She suggested menu items and drink parodies that made our experience perfect!!! She was very intentive and really made us feel at home...grateful for her and the food!!

Yelp
We decided to have date night at the Mercantile on Saturday July 19th 2025. We made a reservation and got seated right away, upstairs. Our server was sweet and had a permanent smile on her face. We ordered a beer and a martini for the wife, they came quickly, we asked for some waters and she also brought those out promptly. Took one sip of the water and honestly tasted like they might of gotten it out of the toilet. Moldy and awful. We ended up ordering a bottle of $6.00 water. Next up dinner. My wife ordered a salad with steak tips which was totally amazing, I ordered the Buffalo CBR sandwich. The meal came out quickly however the Buffalo was anything but, dry, overcooked and didn't have any buffalo taste whatsoever, Probably the worst choice on the menu. I could only eat a couple of bites and through the rest out in the garbage. With the long drive and parking limitations we won't be returning to the mercantile to spend $120 on mediocre food. As I was passing over the kitchen I could hear echos of "Overcooked and tasteless chicken sandwich up Chef!"

Kate D.

Yelp
After an unfriendly experience at another restaurant, The Mercantile stood out exceptionally. The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was efficient and the food was exactly what we were looking for after a long travel day. The seating was nice and the restaurant was lit nicely to enjoy dinner. If I am ever back in the area I will be stopping by!

Alex K.

Yelp
While I've been to the mercantile a few times and have had decent food, the service is always slow even when you're sitting directly at the bar. But this isn't a review of service, this is a review of the terrible pizza I received from them Friday night. It was to go order as I was enjoying the night at Notch Beer Garden right outside the mercantile. I ordered the sweet chick pizza. Took about 35-40 mins, normal time, but unfortunately the pictures below are what I received. Clearly you can tell the pizza needed to be cooked more. It was basically dough with toppings. The picture that looks like a piece was eaten, it wasn't, that's what happened when I pulled the piece out from the whole pie, and no, it wasn't hot enough that the toppings fell off. Had I been inside the restaurant I would have sent this pizza back immediately and asked for it to be cooked longer; however, since it was a to go order that wasn't really an option. Likely won't waste my time with their pizza anymore, you shouldn't waste yours either.
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
great customer service. manager called me on a door dash order to ensure what I ordered might not have the same quality as it's typically served over ice. love this place every time!
google avatar

Melissa J.

Yelp
NOT LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY!!!!! I'll admit the food was decent and the bartender seemed legitimately concerned that we were not able to open the bottle of alcohol our waitress handed US TO OPEN, but WOW. THAT WAS AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! My wife and I were there with our daughter and not only other patrons, but our waitress Kelly reminded us of what it was like to be discriminated against for being a gay couple. I thought we were better than this in the year 2025.... And then we went to the Mercantile for dinner. NEVER AGAIN
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Food was good. Ate on the first floor since the 2nd floor was full. Mostly a sports bar. Another review mentioned the steep stairs that led to the second floor. Not a great idea for people who have difficulties walking. Mostly for twenty- something's.

Cameron O.

Yelp
We called the place ahead of time to see if tables were available and the lady over the phone and told us to come on down as there's tables available, me and my family had then drove down to the place expecting their to be a table available like they had just told us over the phone but then the lady (didn't get her name) smiles at us telling us they're booked for the night and would have to wait an hour-2 hours for a seat. Very condescending and rude during the exchange as we tried to explain the situation and they didn't care to help or be understanding at all. 0/10
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
Just went, multiple tables open and host proceded to tell us it was over and hour wait. All set with this place.

Yelp
I had seen the reviews for the newly opened Mercantile and they weren't very impressive. But, we were walking around the area a while back and saw this place and we were impressed with the setting. It's downtown Worcester and the restaurant has these huge windows that open out and they have an open second floor and it just looked really fun! So we decided to go back and check it out. We arrived early on a Sunday afternoon and we knew the roof deck wouldn't be open, and we were ok with that. We didn't have reservations and our options were in the back (no windows) or the bar. We opted for the bar. The bar is huge! We had an awesome server named Jennie and she told us they were still on brunch menu and we could wait a little bit for lunch menus. They have pizza on their brunch menu and we thought it was something good to check them out with. My husband ordered a beer and I asked Jennie for drink suggestions. I can't remember what my drink was called, but it had 2 ice cubes in it, one made of pomegranate juice and the other with an orchid in it. The drink was so good...I had 2! Our pizza came and it was delicious, a nice thin crust and it was crisp. I'd definitely recommend their pizza. We'll come back again and make reservations so we can sit by those huge open windows and we'll try some other menu options!

Nicolas T.

Yelp
Food was good and average price, we got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese and the korean short rib. service was fast and waitress was attentive

Darlene S.

Yelp
Food had no taste and I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was stringy . Waitress was very nice.

Sade R.

Yelp
Staying here for a conference and the food, service and ambiance was great. We got to sit on the outdoor patio (partially covered) it had a bunch of TVs at a good volume to watch the game, a mixed age crowd, and the cutest tea lights. I would 100% come again. Xavier was a fabulous server, ask for him if you come :)
google avatar

Karen I.

Yelp
The restaurant is really big and has a really nice atmosphere. They have seating outside in the rooftop if you want to sit outside as well! The food was all delicious, the only thing that was okay was the bread that came with the meatballs and the fries were a little too salty but other than that our whole group really enjoyed everything! I LOVED the Fiore cocktail honestly In my opinion it one of the best cocktails ever! The sangria was good too but nothing special and the persophone cocktail was good as well and came with really pretty ice cubes and aesthetically very pleasing! We enjoyed our time here and the service was great as well no complaints and would come back again if I'm ever in Worcester again :) Teriyaki ribs were super yummy! (Deff a must try)

Yelp
The bar staff is awesome and incredibly attentive. The nachos are not up to par. I like that it's course to DCU.

Yelp
We went last weekend before the theatre and we loved it. The atmosphere was great. We thought the food was excellent. The service was also very good. We will definitely be back again soon.

Yelp
Food and drinks were amazing. Our server was Richie and he gave great service. Very attentive and always got what we needed. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
It was my Aunt's 40th birthday and the place was just fun. Loved the wings and Nachos. Pizza was ok .. may be pickles for pizza not my thing. Over all my Aunt loved it. Service was great. Everyone loved the Ambience .

Yelp
We went here on a Tuesday evening so I can't say anything about then late night/weekend atmosphere but I loved it when I went! The place is spacious and clean. The drinks are excellent - Pesephone is an absolute must order! For dinner I had a pizza which was delicious and for dessert I had a brownie sundae. The service was good and the food came out quickly.

Yelp
Visiting the state and decided to check this place out since it was near the DCU arena. Came for brunch and later that night returned for some dinner. Nice big space with plenty of seating. Has a rooftop but it is only open during certain times. Plenty of tvs to catch a game and good bar space. I ordered the Seco breakfast sandwich that came with potatoes 4.6/5. Solid breakfast sandwich with a spicy Mayo to add a lil kick. The star was the blueberry muffin! Omg it was sooooo good. The lemon butter was amazing 5/5. I also had the cafe express which was strong and good 4.3/5. Aidan was nice and welcoming at the bar. Later that night I came back and tried the birria quesadilla 3.9/5. It was good but nothing made it stand out. The crispy broccoli was spicy so beware but it was very fresh and hot 4/5. The guava island cocktail was sweet and delicious as well 5/5.

Yelp
I absolutely love it here. The place itself is so so cute and has such a good vibe. I've been here many times and every time the servers are super sweet and attentive. Brunch is awesome - the drinks are super creative and they taste great and so does the food, the Stuffed Papo Seco is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! I don't typically love thin crust pizza but the pizza here is great, especially the Autumn Squash white pizza. I've tried both of their signature pasta dishes as well as their salmon and they have all been amazing as well. Everything is always a 10/10, truly. Definitely such a cute place and a gem that I would recommend to anyone visiting Worcester. Can't wait for warm weather for rooftop seating soon!
google avatar

Teagan M.

Yelp
The food here is pretty great! Parking is o. Street or the parking garage across the street wicked easy to access. Service is always nice, the ambiance is great especially when they open the roof deck would def recommend

Yelp
A nice spot to congregate with friends! Service was a little strange though-- they seemed upset and perhaps a bit frazzled about the size of our group (10 people) despite there being plenty of open tables on a weekday. Nachos were simply "okay." 2/5

Yelp
Worst customer service!!!! Came in on a Saturday night so it was pretty busy. Needed a table for 8 so the wait was about 45 minutes or so. Provided the host our number to txted us when the table was ready. Quality of Food: The smash burger was delicious. It was a double patty and cooked perfectly. The sauce on on the burger was a nice touch. The steak fries were also yummy too. We ordered a strawberry margarita tower as well. Customer service: The waitress was quite rude. When my boyfriend & friends and I ordered the margaritas she requested we show our ID even though we already showed it to enter the restaurant. We didn't mind that but when she said oh since y'all are out of state you need to show a credit card or something to match your ID. My boyfriend and his friends have been here multiple times and have never been asked this. So we all took out a credit card to show her. She replied oh yeah it's a corporate thing and I don't want to lose my job. It was quiet snarky of her to make that comment. During the rest of the dinner experience she never came by again to ask if we needed anything else or to order more food. We had to keep flagging whoever passed by. Each time the reply we got was oh ask your waitress but she never came back. Finally I got the attention of the hostess and she was able to help us order more food. Since this is the only place open late in Worcester make sure you plan ahead if you have a big party. Food was good but service was horrible. We had lots of fun but wish we had a better waitress who was more attentive and making comments under her breath.

Yelp
This is a great location for a casual yet delicious and hip dinner. The bar is very large and hospitable. We were surprised at how easy it was to hear each other even with fun music playing. I would come back just because of the acoustics! The Malibu bowl was delicious and huge. We also had the crispy Brussels sprouts which were good and spicy.
