"Housed in a Romanesque revival building from 1890, The Mercer felt quintessentially SoHo to me—muted colors, modern furniture, a wall of coffee table books, and rooms that seem curated by the neighborhood's designers—backed by a staff that goes to great lengths to fulfill guest requests, which keeps visitors coming back." - CNT Editors

It’s been amazing living here at The Mercer! From the moment I toured, I knew I'd found my home. The ambiance is fresh and welcoming, and the staff is amazing! The front desk staff and ladies are beyond helpful and kind, responding quickly to any issues or requests. The 24/7 pool and gym are my happy places, and the rooftop is perfect for carne asada or views on special days like New Year's or 4th of July! And my absolute favorite is the coffee machine in the front, unlimited lattes everyday. Definitely recommend living here if you like a lux type of environment!

Amazing staff and location! I had a chaotic move in (out of state) and a more-or-less abrupt move out due to a work opportunity, yet my entire time at the Mercer was very positive. The management and maintenance teams are super nice and organized, especially compared to other experiences I've had elsewhere. The fellow residents are considerate as well! Any issues that I've had are dealt with quickly and professionally. If I need to recommend a place to live in Vegas to any friends, it will be here!

Loved my time at the Mercer. Beautiful rooftop and refreshing swimming pool/ jacuzzi.

Received outstanding customer service from leasing agent Midaya, she was very helpful in the leasing process and she displayed a professional upbeat and positive attitude throughout the process, she is truly an asset to the Mercer Team, thank you guys 😊

Google
We were already impressed when we arrived, and it just got better from there. The grounds, amenities, and unit itself were above and beyond. We were fortunate to have Midaya as our leasing consultant. She was knowledgeable, kind, helpful, with a great personality. She definitely made the decision to lease and process very easy. If you're looking for a new place...we highly recommend The Mercer!!

So far my experience here has been horrible. They claim this is a luxury apartment but it’s far from that. I have been stuck in the elevator for 30 mins because none of the elevators seem to work. They break down once a week. Paid for private parking but the gate for our parking was shut down shortly after moving in. To top it all off my car was broken into and taken apart… yes taken apart. They took my wheels off my car and took my brakes. How did theses people have enough time to do that ??? Like where is the security?!?!? In our so called “secured” parking lot. Like what are we even paying for ?!

Google
I loved this place until I didn’t. I had leaved here for 1 year, extended my lease, and eventually upgraded to a 2 bd, 2 ba because of how much I loveeeeed this place and how muchhhh I love the reception front desk Mideya. She is amazing and this review does not pertain to her but to everyone else and the management here. Within the FIRST MONTH of being in the new until there was a leak in out ceiling in our kitchen. I reached out to the Manager at the time to have the issue resolved. She assured me it would be fixed. After a week, I heard nothing back and I HAD TO CALL for an update. The leaks continued to grow and eventually flooded through our laundry room, to the front door. That lasted for about a month. FINALLY plumbers claim. It took them about 2 weeks to “find the source”. They cut open our ceiling. Left it open for 2 days. It continued to leaks for those days and there solution was “we’ll provide you blowers until it is patched”. WHICH THEY TOOK ALMOST A WEEK TO PICK UP AFTER WE CALLED FO HAVE THEM PICKED UP. The hole was patched. We requested an accommodation on our rent due to the inconvenience. We requested $750, THEY ONLY GAVE US $500. Mind you I had to request time off work to have workers come into our apartment for 3 WEEKS. 2 weeks after the hole was patched we noticed huge water marks above our kitchen and black dots that looked to be mold. Cracking in our base boards. Our walls. And what seemed to be water bubbles in our wall paint. AGAIN reached out to the current manager to notify them. It took about 3 days to even have anyone come look at it. RIDICULOUS!! Plumbers came, opened up a HUGE hole in our ceiling and stated that they couldn’t do anything and thought the leak was coming from upstairs bathroom in unit above us. They weren’t able to patch the hole being their plumbers. Reached out to management AGAIN. They stated they’d have the whole patched within 3 days. ITS HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH AND I STILL HAVE A HUGE HOLE IN MY CEILING. Nothing has been fixed. We reached out to corporate management to have a transfer of unit. They stated they’d inform higher ups. We also spoke with property manager and she stated she’d reach out to them as well. A week later she doesn’t call. I HAVE TO CALL. They inform us that “we got denied for a transfer because the same unit is $400 more.” I searched online and they have MULTIPLE units available that are only $100 more!!! They could only provide us a $500 credit AGAIN. A week later a tech comes out to thermal the walls and informs us “the whole ceiling is going to have to be opened because there is water in all the walls”!! THEY WILL NOT LET US TRANSFER, A $500 CREDIT OR AND TO GET OUT OF OUR LEASE AND MOVE. Our only options is to move to another apartment complex due to their being continues leaking and pools of water on our floor and going into our fridge and contaminating our food. AND THEY WILL NOT APPLY THE $500 CREDIT TO OUR LAST WEEK LIVING HERE. SO NO CREDIT IS GOING TO GIVEN. That is a slap in the face and shows they do not care about tenants. We are having to pay to move to a new apartment, the time to move AGAIN when we have only been in this new unit for 5 months. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 4 OUT OF THE 5 MONTHS WEVE MOVED TO OUR NEW UNIT. I am truly disappointed and feel disgusted in how they handled this situation and quite frankly feel disrespected as a tenant that has living here for so long. I do not recommend anyone to live here because when their is an issue they WILL NOT TRY TO HELP YOU. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else when seeking an apartment. This goes to show that all they care about is money.

The Mercer is such a great place to live. I have rented apartments in four different states and this has, by far, been my favorite apartment. It feels so safe and quaint. There is underground, secure parking. It’s difficult to enter from the outside. My friends called it a “fortress” but it gives you a good feeling of security knowing randoms can’t get in easily. Their gym is equipped with all the basic equipment that you need. Great pool, jacuzzi, fireplace areas, rooftop view, etc. All of their amenities are awesome. One thing I noticed about most cookie cutter apartments is that they all use the same cheap cabinetry. The Mercer has spacious apartments with quality cabinetry, appliances, and doors. You will see staff cleaning the hallways and shared areas daily. Maintenance requests are attended to within hours. Management is so accessible and kind. They have a party for the complex every month with live music. We loved sitting on our balcony and enjoying the fresh air, people watching. Everything is calm and quiet. Sad we had to move. We loved living here.

Yelp
The girls in the leasing office are hands down the best I've ever experienced! Anything I need. They are always there for me. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else! I hope that they all continue to give me an experience that I was looking for in luxury apartment living.

Yelp
Writing this to say, stay clear is correct. After moving out 2.5 years ago, I started receiving emails about "owing money". I believe they do not have anything in order & have not had anything in order since the day I moved in. If a company cannot keep ahold of documents from previous tenants and are illegally trying to come after them for more money? Absolutely would not recommend moving here to anyone.

Yelp
Since my original review management and the management company has changed hands. Many of the concerns people share in regards to lack of security, broken elevators, broken garage gates, and cleanliness are legitimate. The pool area is a very nice amenity if that's high on your priority list and rivals many. However, after the rise in rent last year and the issues above we have since moved out to a much nicer property.

Yelp
I recently moved into the complex from my previous home of 7 years, and have had issues trying to get my own internet and cable packages. I'm unable to choose my own packages, which seems to contradict the luxury mindset of this community. The bulk packages "provided" to the community are exorbitant per month, and fail to include basic channels in the package. On top of the $140, I pay an extra $30, to cover the rental fees of the two cable boxes and modem. When I called and spoke to a Cox rep even they mentioned what I'm paying is very excessive and that this rental property has a BULK package deal with them. So they can get as much money as they can out of you by marking it up. And upon move in, my particular apartment had a really shoddy and uneven plastering job, and the paint has different shades, which feels unacceptable for the amount of rent paid to this community. Feeling far from luxurious. Also There's 4 floors, I'm located on the third and I can hear the families convos. They also play catch with their dog inside which would be fine if it wasn't so loud all the running around/ stamping. The walls are not sound proof as stated. If you're a content creator/ musician or just looking for some peace I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Not happy.

Yelp
An update: I moved out early because of inconsistent amenities and a rude manager plus i got a new job offer. I notice a message in their app (which i never check) that they've changed management. I'm still on the hook for two months rent and a message dated November 17th says that I have to pay in person or mail my check instead of the auto pay i set up. The woman Gigi answers the phone and basically told me it was not her problem i was not here any more. When i told her it didn't seem legal to give us two weeks heads up the auto pay is turned off and then threaten to charge late fees she took a long pause and condescendingly said is there anything else I can help you with. I am very glad we got out of there looks like new management is even worse

Yelp
I'm writing this just to help those who are considering this place. Please run away. This place is HORRIBLE. I don't even know where to begin. Dog park smells so bad that even dogs can not take it. It's very unsafe, be ready to see some homeless people sleeping near pool area sometimes. Elevators are out of service almost daily. We wanted to renew our lease and they have increased it 40%. If the automatic monthly rent payment doesn't go through, you get charge $130 late fee without any reminder, email, call or anything from them- they don't even care to knock on the door to tell you that but instead they put a notice on your door (late fee - pay it in 7 days or leave).

Yelp
https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-mercer-las-vegas College campus. The owner Wayne has decided to rent the "luxury" apt out as a college dormitory. Parents are vetted as tenants, then move their children in who have no manners whatsoever.

Yelp
I would absolutely recommend looking elsewhere. The recent reviews are legitimate and embarrassing. The elevator has been broken for about half a year, the loading dock by the main entrance has been broken for a few weeks now with only caution tape periodically added to remind you of the dangerous step. The dog area has not been cleaned in months. The hose to spray it down has had a hole in it for months now and has been on the ground since. The odor of marijuana fills the dirty hallways that have not been cleaned in over 3 months and maybe, maybe twice since new management (Avenue 5) has taken over about 9 months ago. There is consistently new leasing agents in the main office without even a notice or update on who to speak to. The fire alarms have gone off for testing multiple times without notice, during the day and evening. The garage door is always broken and the lack of security never being present, it has allowed intruders the opportunity to break into cars and even had the time to steal tires and put a vehicle on blocks. The pool and hot tub are dirty, another thing that is never cleaned. They are now charging a ridiculous $500 dollar fee to rent out an area for four hours that has previously been free and part of the amenities that the promote. The walkways around the pool area are not clean, there has been what I can only hope is coffee for about two weeks now (see picture) It now appears that there is a roach problem as there has been a few in the hallways for about a month. They do have electric vehicle charging but, will charge you if you an exorbitant amount if you go over the time allowed. All in all, this current management only cares about the money as management has done absolutely nothing to resolve the issues from many resident complaints. I have been on property for about 10 months and it has severely gone downhill. If you decide to take a tour, take a look around for yourself, but make sure you hold your breath.

Yelp
Finally moved out after three years. The downward spiral of this place just got more and more out of hand. Writing a review just to try to help you out in the future...steer clear. It really isn't what the tour or website promises. There are serious crimes, safety and security issues that reoccur...had my bike stolen from a third story interior balcony and my car broken into and ignition destroyed from the "secure" parking garage. The amenities are gone or bare boned at best from what they were when I signed my lease agreement and the office staff changes every three to four months so no one cares or stays around long enough to affect any sort of change. The one star goes out to the maintenance crew who are the only saving grace of the property!

Yelp
Hi my name is coral I warn everyone everyone who wants to move to this complex The Mercer It's a place of liars owners and employee. I entered the apartment there 3 days ago And they never told me that there was a construction road Who hear him from 24 hours . When I told them that I had not slept for three days in a row And that I have medical problems And I want them to take me away before something happens to me. Their answer was to disparage and hurt a person's life It's as if they care only about the money And not from people's lives. Anyone who wants to take an apartment there knew he was going into a noise place of that you hear from anywhere in the building 24/7 And management and owners Do not want to know your life Do not take an apartment there in your life... And for you The Mercer We'll see in court

Yelp
Do Not consider, go elsewhere. I lived in one the nicer units for 2 years and the entire time experienced nothing but issues - constant trespassing into the pool and party areas by local teenagers, no security, open gates, broken elevators, store room breakins (many things stolen from my 'additional charge' storeroom), police cars constantly there for something, completely incompetent management, an owner (who lives onsite) who refused to address any issues, I could go on and on. Go somewhere else where the management will address issues. You've been warned.

Jasmine G.

Yelp
A person I know got his bike stolen off his balcony. The workers are terrible and act like they dont care. Unsafe place to live at and keep ur things locked and safe. Just wow and unbelievable.

Yelp
My photos tell the story. I've asked Managent over and over to stop the smoking but it just doesn't happen. People clean up after your dogs too. Pool is nice rent, rent is way over the market and I'm happy to pay it if they enforce rules. East 4th floor rooms have horrible vibrations because all the AC units are on top of the rooms. And these are the most expensive rooms with the big patios. I love my patio and my view. It's sad I have to write this because I wish I could be positive about this property. There are so many great people here that can't handle he smoking and weed anymore.

Anthony H.

Yelp
So long story short we moved into one of their townhouses and we were promised the world in regards to luxury amenities and totally sold on their extensive security. At $3,000 per month we justified signing a lease based off all of these promises. Within a month of signing our lease we were made aware of several issues. Firstly security became an issue due to a squatter turner burglar who began terrorizing the building. Then the fact that pet owners were never held accountable for the fact they were breaking rules and failed to clean to up after their pets. Management was complacent in many situations and conversations with them resulted in more frustration than positive changes. Doors left propped open frequently, lack of security services like promised, and wild parties to all hours of the morning became a common occurrence. When robberies and shootings onsite and also merely across the street began happening, management was silent and when the gate to the parking garage down below was broken for weeks and then months at a time; residents were told that was merely a luxury that the owner refused the right to revoke at any time. Smoking of cigarettes and weed onsite are not enforced as promised, and amenities are a free for all while allowing nonresidents to utilize the facilities unquestioned. Speaking of the owner; he has a penthouse onsite himself with his own private garage and elevator access, so he doesn't really care about residents concerns for safety and security. His name is Wayne Laska and totes The Mercer as being a place where luxury is redefined but it truly fails to live up to this promise. The amenities are sometimes available but oftentimes broken down and he refuses to put money into repairs. Did I mention it's a fairly new building?! So what does that say about the future as the building inevitably begins to age? I also had several conversations with many different management teams about concerns that plagued the building and was often just shooed away. One particular AGM Eric Forgèt was the absolute worst to deal with given his condescending manner in which he handled resident complaints & criticism. His demeanor was always cold and he lacked any ability to address the issues plaguing this building. Mostly so the security issues. Amenities that are promised to lure potential residents in are held as leverage and can be revoked at any time. That includes the onsite security they tote as being top notch, and also the gate to the underground parking garage. Many residents storage units, vehicles, and personal belongings were burglarized with management really doing little to address the fact this was happening. The houses across the street were also all over the news for shootings and crimes that were linked to the surrounding area; so be prepared for the metro police helicopter and local metro officers around the building frequently. It's not a pleasant experience to hear swat breaching nearby homes due to criminals barricading themselves. Lastly, the high rent is not worth it. The building is literally a beautifully wrapped box of bullshit. Simply that, and I truly mean it. After spending $36,000 in rent for a year, we felt completely robbed and stupid for living here. The situation with Covid-19 just exhausted us even further as residents requested a reduction in rent seeing all of the supposed "luxury" amenities were revoked for months. This was a common courtesy given by many surrounding developments/management companies; not the case at The Mercer. Essentially we were told these luxuries they sold us on were at their discretion, we signed a lease agreement acknowledging so; and also given a link to pay our rent on time regardless of the Covid-19 crisis. However we were given daily affirmations by management to cope during the crisis which was the most backhanded thing they could have possibly done given the circumstances and their complete lack of empathy thru the whole thing. Please refer to my photos for a detailed description of other issues that I may have not mentioned above. And do yourself a favor; RENT ANYWHERE ELSE! These people will not care about you in the least bit which explains why they continue to spiral downwards. Residents here candidly speak about the state of affairs on The Mercer Facebook page which really airs everything you need to know beforehand.

Kavy O.

Yelp
Let start by saying almost any apartment complex that you're looking at will tend to alway try to impress you with what amenities they have right? Well don't move into a place because of it because odds are you're not going to use it, let's be real. My advice is go to the floor level you're trying to move into and check it out because they tend to only show you want they want to show you which would be the first floor and roof top so you can oversee everything else that is flawed. The one year time I had here was good and bad at the same time so I'm going to give you guys my honest opinion about this place. If you're like me and don't like to much noise this place might not be for you, especially if you are moving into a unit looking out to the streets because the road/construction noise will drown you. Then you have these damn street racer with loud exhaust going crazy through out the night because the area has great road for racing. Hardly any police car around the area so no point on relying on them. Also a few months before I moved out there was a new people moving in and the kid have a flat black Porsche that is crazy loud and he would wake me up through out the day I wanted to egg his car so badly. The walls between the units are a little better than most apartments but still my neighbors and the people in the hallway will alway find a way to make loud unnecessary bird noises which echo so it's pretty loud. Next I want to address would be things breaking down almost every week. So while I was living there my first month in I notice that my balcony sliding door has a huge gap which was letting cold air in and when it was windy OMG it sounded like my unit was about to be torn apart it was a nightmareand my gf and I could not sleep. I did filed a complaint and they did ended up fixing it but it took them about 1 month in and out my apartment to finished the little door project and I had to hid in my room until they were finished because I felt very uncomfortable luckily I had an indoor surveillance camera which I did tune in to see if they were done for the day. Also my shower handle was super loose like it was broken and they actually couldn't fix it then I spent my own money to find the part and fix it myself. Let talk about the amenities breaking down within the property itself almost every month I want to say the hot hub goes down amazing. The elevator now that broke down twice since I've been there, it's annoying if you live on the 4th floor like I did to avoid loud neighbors above you, oh yea be warn I had some of my neighbors telling me they can't wait to move out because of their upstair neighbors. The garage door has been non functional for about my last 4 months that keeps breaking and getting stuck and random cars would come in and park and make it super suspicious, oh yea and the damn kid with the Porsche would turn the garage into a damn car meet. God I hate him. the elevator service balcony had to be remodeled due it soaking up water from the environment so of course the elevator is closed and again making the people living there lives hard and that lasted for 2 weeks. The complex building itself is in bad shape if you look beyond the bright color hallways and the fake smile everyone puts on. Get ready to wake up to random fire alarms waking you up in the middle of the night causing heart attacks, it so loud and it will not stop unit the fire truck gets there. Storage units got broken into on the 4th floor which I don't understand how when you need a key card to get in the building and there is only 4 floors. Also while I was there we had a lady who was held on gun point so that she can let him in the building so he can find someone, that was scary AF and weed smell sometime through out the garage and elevators. I'm tried of typing so I'm going to end it here. If you decide to live here do your research and avoid the headache. Oh last thing make sure you put in your 60 day notice because even if you're one day late guess what!!! extra charges lovely right? and they will also try to send you a "courtesy"notice saying to put in your 60 notice after a week has pass bitch that ain't no courtesy. Sorry the ghetto side came out Hope you made it this far and make good decisions. 3 sta

Yelp
My sister and I stopped by Saturday afternoon to check out this place and walked out impressed. Upon entering the beautiful lobby area, Steven welcomed us to the property. After exchanging some info, he took us on a tour. Steven was very professional, polite, and was able to answer every single question we had. He is one of the best, if not the best leasing agent that I've had the pleasure of meeting. He even told us about the owner of the complex and how he also owns Storybook Homes. (Very nice houses btw) More on that below. The Mercer is very lucky to have him on their team. The property itself is absolutely stunning. They offer everything from the usual gym and yoga room, to a massage room, laundry service, a movie theater(you can watch their stuff and you can also bring your own device as well) and even a fridge in the club house that is fully stocked for the residents! The grounds and courtyard area are beautiful and they also play some very calming music in the courtyard during the day. But what really sold me was a hidden rooftop deck area that overlooks the city and surrounding area. The rooftop deck even has a bar area as well! The apartments are very well designed and Steven told us that the owner used the same fixtures, appliances, and materials that are used on their homes. Each apartment has a view, and whether it's a city, mountain, or courtyard view, you're almost guaranteed to have a nice view. You don't even need a traditional key to get into your place. Just use a fob and touch it to the door and you're inside. The apartments are also very secure as well as your mailbox area, since they are located in an interior hallway that requires either a key fob or a resident to let you in from outside. The rent rates aren't that bad either, especially since it's a brand new complex with a ton of amenities. All in all, this complex is at the very top of our list. My sister and I are in the market to get two separate apartments in the same complex and The Mercer just may be our new home in the next few months. Thank you Steven and the rest of the staff! Y'all are the best!

Yelp
I would not recommend to anyone , to move into The Mercer. During this hard time , the owner has chosen to take away all of our amenities but has also chosen not to reduce our rent. In fact , he has decided to raise our rent and blame it on the Cable company. We have been misled since day one from having to pay for a garage gate that never worked to having our bikes stolen in a gated area that was also locked. The owner bears no responsibility for what happens on his property, but is quick to take our money . People are moving out at a rapid pace because they can not afford the owners "high" rent during this terrible time . He should be ashamed of himself , period.

Yelp
If you enjoy your sleep and safety, this is not the place. I called security over 5 times to address the sound situation and it never stopped. They instead wanted to move me and not my neighbor. And if I wanted to leave the community, it would be at my expense. Do I just need to call Metro? This is just absolutely insane! I can't wait to move out! It's not worth the money you pay. Please hear me out as I'm speaking from someone trying to sleep and it is now almost mid night.

Michael R.

Yelp
This is a copy/paste of my google review. Update: It's been over 1 month since I wrote my original post. Management's claim that "we are taking care of the issue" have been empty words. The police have been called as well as the almost-daily calls to courtesy patrol. Nothing has changed in terms of the excess noise. Also, please take what others say about how nice the tours are with a grain of salt. Giving this community 5-stars because the tour was good is like giving the new iPhone 5 stars because the Best Buy employee answered a question you had about it. There is a difference between the initial first impression and actually living here for a few months. In the end, you will decide whether or not to call this place home. As someone who has to for the next few months, I urge you to truly consider alternatives. Original: Chantal's review below is unbelievably accurate. It's currently 2:58am and the noise from the neighbors above make it nearly impossible to sleep (we are on the second floor). This has been going on for a couple of weeks. Multiple calls to the on-call security patrol has done nothing to help. We have also messaged management to advise the neighbors that they are excessively loud. Either they are not receiving the message or just completely ignoring it. The next step will be escalating this issue by calling the police. Either way, I highly advise against moving here unless you live on the top floor. The amenities are nice which is the only reason this isn't simply a 1-star review.

Yelp
I've been familiar with this property for awhile being in the property management industry. The Mercer is honestly a great place to call home. Yes the property is expensive but worth the price if you consider the amenities and security of the property. Also consider that you get what you pay for. It smells good and the walls aren't that thin. The residents here are very nice and the leasing office staff seems to be familiar with every resident by memory. I've observed the company Arcadia Security to be apart of the property management team with The Mercer. They're definitely a premium security company with high speed Officers. The parking garage is always secured and well maintained. The building is also well maintained and the units as well. It's also a pet friendly community. The two dog parks are very convenient for all units. This property is definitely a great alternative if you're not purchasing a home. I definitely feel safe here and my belongings as well.

Yelp
Keiyana was a pleasure to work with! This was my first home outside of where I grew up and she streamlined the process and took the stress out of moving! I would highly recommend living here at the Mercer and ask for Keiyana! She's amazing! In regards to the other reviews about safety and security, it is simply untrue. They have nighttime security to protect us and the grounds until the morning. I'm grateful I found this location.

We put down a deposit on a unit we didn't move forward and they wouldn't refund us . I wouldn't pay these scam artists a penny if my life depended on it . 2000 a month for a sub par place .

Yelp
My wife and I liked this property due to the set up and floor plan. The unit we secured was in a bldg that has elevator access only you need a card to work elevator unit on coner 4th floor seemed very secure and I liked that alot because I was home invaded two different times in two different parts of town years apart and ened up in jail for saving my own life I also ended up with ptsd and that created some othe legal issues over 10 yrs ago mind you I was hit in the head with a bat 42 times had to learn to walk again took me 1 yr to be able to get around again on my feet and not well for the next 6 months I was in icu for 12 weeks hospital stay was 3 months then home with a nurse it was bad I was also stabbed several times it was horrible then 12 years ago I was home invaded again stabbed in the neck 4 times and left for dead I woke up some how bleeding alot and was able to fight of 2 of the 3 attackers and 1 left after thinking I was going to bleed out however I was arrested while in the hospital because I saved my own and my family's life the charges were dropped eventually 4 yrs later but between that time my ptsd was so bad that I had a couple other unlawful things happen non violent minor but felonys none you can guess why I had pending charges the one still alive said he was fleeing when I attacked him he was not but thats besides the point and was proven later on but as a result of these attacks I have ptsd as a result of my ptsd I was unable to make normal day to day things happen despondent to things going on around me etc and many other things thankfully due to these police officers that judged me based on my pending charges thìey charged me with this stuff that I may or may not had to be charged did charge me I was able to do a program to learn to cope with severe trauma induced ptsd if it wasn't for them I'd still be a mess but I was able to keep my company going and now have grand baby's and my family and I are alive and well because of it but we are also homeless because the mercer rejected our application and refuses to work with me on getting us into the unit we felt safe living in due to as the manager says the fair housing act they would have to let other felons in but other felons don't make as much money as I do and and can't pay a full year in advance (yes I offered that) and most of them I don't beleive are felons because of the same issues im sure that 90 percent of them intentionally committed a crime i did not infactb i took a deal when i could have held out and gotten them dropped too against advice of my lawyer i took the deal they just grouped everything together gave me a deal that I felt would help my mental disability and it did thank you lvmpd thank you clark county and thank you las vegas for keeping me and my family employed healthy and able to cope with traumas that had happened and thank you mercer for keeping us homeless while I am sure is a violation of fair housing act being that my actions for two and a half years were made behind the thinking of a man with a severe mental disability and no knowledge of how to cope with it. Thank you for taking our unit off hold takingbour money and not telling us we could be rejected even tho we were told 10 years back is fine my conviction 10 years ago was not ok and now 10days of waiting to move in we still have nowhere to go mercer do whats right here and allow my family to feel safe in the town we were born in lived in and have been almost killed in this is America and I understand the law the owners can follow inunderstand the fair housing act howcome property managment doesn't? And yes felons arnt protected under fair housing unless crime is a direct result of mental condition even junkies are protected as long as they don't use anymore but nope my children wife and I are homeless even tho we can afford to pay upfront 2 years of rent wayne laske please accept our application please I im very disappointed in the outcome and the lack of try or understanding of the staff that was there GIGi has been fantastic everyone has been polite on girl helped as much as her position would allow and thank you for that but we should be moving in today based upon what we were told when doing the application if we were told it would be rejected we wouldn't have even looked there but gigi did great job sold us on the safety and the privacy and the beauty of the property

Yelp
The amenities are excellent. Clean gym with cardio equipment, free weights and many machines. The pool is modern and never crowded. The staff here is extremely nice and always willing to help. Great community and exceptional style for a great price.

Yelp
We are really disappointed in the way The Mercer has handled the COVID situation when it comes to taking care of their tenants. They absolutely REFUSE to give anyone a reduction on rent even though all of our amenities have been taken away. We are not asking for much. Even a $50 reduction would show that they have a heart and care about their tenants, even just a little bit. NOPE. NADA. ZILCH. And it's basically been crickets from the management on any sort of plan to re-open the amenities. I don't need your fluffy, "motivating" emails to "get me through this difficult time". I need you to tell me what's going on with the building and to cut us all a little slack. In addition, when negotiating our lease in March, we were told that they were not raising rents but they unfortunately had to raise our entertainment package fee because Cox raised their rates. They lied. Not only did they charge more for our entertainment package but they also raised our base rent $30 which we caught after we signed our lease. So that's an $80 per month raise in rent including the $50 increase for BASIC entertainment. Doesn't seem like much but when you have a "state-of-the-art" parking garage gate that didn't work for 9 months, constant construction on Tropicana and the building next door, cops at the building every other week, broken seats in the theater room, a "7-11" breakfast on Sundays (which of course isn't happening right now and not even a credit for that), just to mention a few things, an extra $960 for the year pisses me off on top of the already above-market rents and ZERO concessions during this time. I'm over it. The silver-lining is that this experience has kicked us into high-gear on buying a home. I thought "luxury" apartment living was where it's at but not anymore. With all of this being said, I have to give a shout out to Sharon who is absolutely wonderful as well as the maintenance and engineering team who are all great. This review is aimed at the owner who doesn't seem to give a shit about his tenants. Noted.

Yelp
I truly love my new place. Lisa was so helpful and I won't lie I was looking for other places to rent, but her service was truly amazing and the rest of the staff as well. The Mercer provides so much for family's it's truly amazing. Want the going out to the movies experience but have kids? Guess what they have one there, want to play pool with the guys well they have that too, a heated pool, rooftop BBQ and there is so much more lol but honestly thank you Lisa me and Elle love our new home. I hope the owners see how amazing you are at your job because if it was not for you we would be living down the road lol

Yelp
Sharon took us on a tour of the entire place and I gotta say, because of her, I am absolutely sold! She was thorough, she understood what we were looking for, and she was so kind throughout the entire tour! We plan on moving into the Mercer once our lease is up on our current apartment.

Yelp
Great place to live. After looking at over 25 properties in the area I decided on The Mercer. The building is designed like a cruise ship. Interior hallways, underground parking, gym, cafe, free internet, and breakfast. It's more money, but better people as well. Rochelle did a great job and the staff is first rate!

Yelp
This property is absolutely beautiful! I can't remember the last time I worked with a management company that has been as super nice & accommodating as they has been to us. They have been awesome every step of the way to make this possible for our group stay. The amenities are unbelievable, offering a continental breakfast, 24hr coffee bar and Mimosa Sundays! I am so excited to have found a property thats has it all. I have to give them a thumbs up, with a 5 star recommendation. Thank you Gabby & Sharon for all your assistance!

Yelp
I recently moved into the The Mercer and absolutely love it here so far. I had toured many complexes before making a decision but as soon as I toured the units here with Alexis I knew it was where I wanted to call home. This is my first apartment so I was nervous to make a decision but she was so encouraging and sweet. She took the time to show me all of the one bedroom and two bedroom units available on multiple occasions. I requested to be east facing and wanted an island bar in the kitchen and she was able to find me the perfect unit. Keiyana has also been really helpful with any questions that I've had and has ensured that I've received all of my packages. They have both made a huge impact on me and I am so grateful to live in a complex with such amazing employees. I feel so comfortable and safe here. I also love all of the amenities, the rooftop is amazing and the pool is so beautiful. I could not be more happy living at The Mercer!!

Yelp
The management company over looking the property is terrible. The lack of communication and transparency is mind blowing. Saturday morning trash pick up is at 5:30am and they will not reach out to republic services to get a new time. The amenities offered when my wife and I moved in were supposed to be top notch they are far from it. Security on the property is non existent, there has been squatters someone help up at gun point and the local neighborhood kids break in to use the pool late night. The police are at our building twice a month or more for Domestic disputes or even the Coroner office Researching deaths. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Yelp
It's a shame people tend to use Yelp as an outlet for leaving reviews only when they have a bad experience. I'd like to share my positive experience thus far living at The Mercer. My husband, two kids and I have lived here for over 4 months now after having just relocated to Vegas from Orange County. When I first toured with the leasing agent, we loved the amenities and the luxurious units. However, at the time, we felt a little out of place, thinking it was going to be more of a lifestyle resort for single adults. Didn't turn out to be the case. Fast forward 4 months later and we love living at The Mercer! The community has plenty of other families with children like ours. All the neighbors are very friendly and respectful of one another and the property grounds. Very quiet at night also! We get together as a community for events/parties in the clubhouse every now and then too. It's wonderful! We are very happy with our decision in choosing to live at The Mercer.

Yelp
I agree with previous posters in regard to rent. Rent is due on the first no grace period. When they have overcharged rent due to their error you are forced to pay anyway so it is not late. Have to pay online and cannot adjust the amount. Received partial credit on account but numerous calls and emails go unanswered for the rest. The rent amount breakdowns are posted in vague terms so you cannot tell what they are for. Cable raised a ridiculous amount WiFi is horrible. The complex is not safe despite 'locked' entrances. Rocks are left in access doors for strangers to enter and strangers climb the pool fence to get in. Constant major maintenance/safety issues, major access door broken for weeks, underground parking gate left open hours at a time so it does not breakdown for months like before. Unsafe. Office phone always on voicemail no return calls. Dog area a muddy mess because sprinklers have been broken for weeks. Drugs, parties, etc. Not enough room for the other issues. This place is only 3 years old and has gone downhill rapidly. Major construction flaws caused residents to be without elevators or a locked underground garage gate for weeks. Robberies within the complex. Constant office turnover the good ones always leave. If I could leave a negative less than 0 review I would. Now free rent is being offered to new tenants. Why? The complex is no longer worth the rent being charged. I wish I had taken a picture of the drugged out female tenant wandering around the courtyard singing at 7:30 am last week so I could post a picture here or of the thong bathing suits at the pool when children were swimming.
