The shrimp tacos are super tasty and at only $7 for two during happy hour quite the steal of a deal! We went in on a Saturday late afternoon and the vibe was good. The staff were attentive and very helpful. You definitely need to check this place out if you have the chance. Their outdoor patio has a clear view of the beach and boardwalk. Highly recommend.

I found this place while walking down the pier. They had a great happy hour menu so we decided to stay and have some drinks. Gabby, Bree and Casey made my experience awesome. Customer service is everything to me. The drinks looked fancy and they tasted even better! They remembered my name on the way out, made me feel welcomed. It was a chill vibe with great music in the background. I recommend this place and I will be back again

This place was so great! I am from out of town so I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. It has a fun dive bar atmosphere but the food was not your regular pub menu. Super good and it tasted all the better with the view of the Pacific. If I am ever back that way I would love to stop back in.

Inside was VERY loud so we decided to sit outside. Good view! Food was amazing and staff was very kind! Waitress noticed a mistake in one of our orders, which we wouldn't have even minded, but they went and fixed it for us anyway! Appreciated that a lot.

very casual bar. with bar food. snacks. great location. nice outdoor seating. minus the cars parked next to you while eating. and loud Harley Davidson motorcycles paled her and revving their engines.

Two wide swinging doors usher you off the strand and into a friendly atmosphere. Drinks are similar in price to other bars in the area, but the food is a step above. The layout is great for meeting new people or bumping into friends coincidentally. If you're looking for a quiet, more intimate setting, check out the pool room in back.

Food is trash. Place looks like vomit. The crowd is rude. Employees are equally rude. The only saving grace is it's close proximity to other fine establishments. So sad because I love dive bars, but don't confuse dingy dive with degenerate dwelling disaster.

Management is lacking in customer service skills. When the origin of a (not so) happy hour beer being served and charged as the imported beer was queried (as it was a domestic beer), managements response was to go on the attack. This could have been handled so differently and had it been you would have had some returning customers as the food was quite good. Maybe some customer service training would enhance business with returning customers. Also WHY knowingly sell domestic beer, calling it imported and likewise charging for it. Then aggressively defending this practice all for a single dollar? I think the Mermaid's business is the looser here.
