Had such a great time here celebrating a birthday. Joey and Ryan welcomed and helped our party get checked in and explained the procedures clearly. Some of us were first timers. Our food ordered through Ryan at the bar arrived within 25 minutes as promised. We ate, drank and threw for two hours. Appreciated the tunes playing as it was diverse. Super fun time. Thanks Mighty Axe Oxnard!

JT was super cool and nice. Let us sample beer and made great recommendations. 10/10 on bar and beers 🍻 Bri told us she was new and it definitely showed. Definitely not polished on her people skills. The Axe throwing was super fun. Music was very chill as well. 10/10 on decorations and ambiance.

I love the employees they are remarkable. Especially Amelia and Joey! Joey is the best bartender and Amelia made sure that we were having a great time. I will definitely come back again.

We had such a great morning celebrating my daughter’s birthday with 3 friends. Mariah was very sweet in getting them set up and showing them how to throw. Ryan was nice in the bar. Britney was amazing before we even came. She spoke to me two times prior and helped get us all set up and excited to come. Great staff, great place and tons of fun. We will definitely come back.

We had a blast 5 months ago and the @themightyaxeto did not disappoint on our return a couple of days ago! So much fun and “Amelia” really went out of her way (food/drinks, instruction, photo moment, etc.) to ensure we had the best time!

Our experience was amazing thanks to Amelia! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and took the time to walk us through the check-in process. She gave us a great axe throwing tutorial and kept checking in, especially helping the kids learn better technique in such a patient and encouraging way. She even brought us food and drinks with a smile. Her kindness, energy, and genuine care made the entire visit so much more fun and memorable. She’s truly a star!

We stopped by The Mighty Axe in Thousand Oaks without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be able to start playing right away! The whole experience was a blast. The setup is fun, the vibe is relaxed, and the beer selection is solid. A special shoutout to Amelia, who truly made our visit even better. She was super friendly, gave clear and helpful instructions on how to throw the axe properly, and made sure we were having a great time throughout. Her energy and guidance really stood out. Definitely recommend this place whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned axe thrower. We'll be back!

I’ve been axe throwing before but not like this. It was super fun!! You can select different game to play rather than just throwing. I didn’t get a chance to buy food but the beer was great! Definitely going again.

Amelia and JT were awesome! Drinks were great! JT did a wonderful job helping us figure out what drinks were the best for those of us who are not big on beer. Amelia is incredible, extremely patient and a great teacher! Some of us were struggling getting the axe to stick in the wood. Amelia coached us on the proper technique and had us sticking 6s in no time!!!

Did 2 hour of axe throwing and boy were we a little tired the next day. The atmosphere is nice and cozy with cabin/mountain vibes, full bar to order drinks (we had beers). Staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. If you forget to bring closed to shoes they provide bear paw sandals to wear (loved them). We had the projector screen to adjust your targets, we came to celebrate for a birthday and it was absolutely fun. Would do again, thank you!

Had a great time at The Mighty Axe! Surprisingly fun and the time went really fast. Online booking was easy and we began shortly after our booked time. The staff were helpful and gave us pointers. I will return and looking forward to another great experience!

Really great experience! Never done it before but we loved it! Bri was great as an instructor and very encouraging! There are a lot of options for games on the axe board and it was so fun trying different ones. Bri and Dustin made for a great experience and we can't wait to come back! Also, if you forget closed toed shoes, they have bear slippers waiting for you!

For a night of entertainment, this is the place. Good for bday gathering or date night. Decor is cute.

Had a great time. Good spot for a group of 10 people on 2 lanes side-by-side. Heads up - you keep track of the scores yourself manually. Not a big deal unless you have friends trying to cheat

Axe-pect the best from this venue! Incredible staff and fun around all corners (pinball games were vast and entertaining). The axe throwing itself was exhilarating, but you can also change the game into a zombie target practice among other scenarios instead of just your regular target throwing. Cozy sit down areas, and clean bathrooms.

Katie and Joey were fantastic during our visit. Both so kind and informative. Katie really took the time to make sure we were comfortable throwing and would help us with throwing tips before we got started. Drinks were great and love the ambiance of the place. The games and pinball machines were also such a great touch! Had a blast and can't wait to keep coming back and bring our friends and family!

Easy seamless process for checking in and signing waivers. It was a good time. I just don't suggest ordering food there if you are at all particular about food - they didn't get my order correct.

This was a really fun date with my husband! Super easy to navigate the touch screen menu - and although we didn't get any food or drinks, they looked good from our point of view!! The service was great as well. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes!

Fun and instructions by the manager were clear. We had a great time and will return when were are in the Big Bear area.

Joey gave exceptional service at the bar! I could not have asked for a better experience with Amelia making me feel comfortable and teaching me how to throw the axe! By the end of the night I was hitting those targets!!!

Had the best time at The Mighty Axe!! Took our niece for her first time and she loved it. Caitlin and Joey were a huge help and were so engaged and helping make it a fun experience. We will definitely come back due to the amazing atmosphere.

Fantastic fun!! Food is available to order (we had pizza and fries) and it came super fast. The Axe games are really fun! You get an iPad and it allows you to put up different axe games. We loved the zombies one. There are sound effects when you axe them! There is also a game if you're on a date and other fun stuff. The music was fantastic and added to the experience. It's got a cool bar vibe. Jensen at the bar and Our Axe-pert ( can't remember his name) were both great. There were no kiddos while we were there. It's not a place littles would have fun IMO. But older kids 10 and over would have a blast!

We had a great time as first timers, two adults and two kids. Katie and JT were so welcoming, explained everything thoroughly, and poured delicious drinks. A great experience that we look forward to coming back again!

My first time to Mighty Axe was awesome! The ambiance is lively and energetic. The decor is fun and feels woodsy. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. We made reservations ahead of time on their website and it was easy and convenient. There's bar with a wide variety of beers on tap. I love that the beers are all from local breweries. It seems like you can order Pieology and eat it inside Mighty Axe, but don't quote me on that because we didn't eat at Mighty Axe. The axe throwing is a fun activity! An hour is plenty of time for your axe throwing experience. The "axepert" employee will give you a quick tutorial on how to throw the axes, safety, and how to use the iPad. The iPad is a fun way to change the axe throwing game. It gives you a lot of options for boards or other games like tic tac toe to throw your axe at. We had a great time at Mighty Axe!

Stopped in for a quick drink and the bartender was lovely & provided a great recommendation! Didn't try the food but the ambiance seemed super chill and inviting. Would definitely go back if we lived closer!

Amelia at the Mighty Axe was so much fun & provided us with top notch service! We were a group of four & felt like we had personalized attention and training for our axe throwing session! We were able to pick between a variety of games and play multiple rounds. The ambience was that of a rustic cabin, and the bar offers many choices of drinks & snacks. The sweet potato fries were delicious! Totally recommend for a fun night out!

I don't usually review places like this but I had such a blast that i had to sit down and write something. My group and I went on a Wednesday night around 7PM. The place was pretty empty which makes sense because not a lot of people are out drinking on a Wednesday evening lol We arrived like 5 or so minutes late and they were super understanding and friendly about, I'm assuming because it was empty and they would haven't been so great if it had been packed so plan accordingly. There wasn't a lot of drink options but we got some IPA's and Twisted Teas. The Jell-O shots were definitely my favorite thing there ! They also have some pinball machines there, they're a dollar and they don't have quarters there so I'd take some money on the side. They have multiple game modes for the axe throwing and i felt completely safe the whole time. They do a quick guide on how to do the axe throwing safely and what to do and not do. Overall it was a blast and Matt and Grant were great at keeping us entertained and have a great experience. Definitely a fun thing to plan with a group of friends, date night, or even a night u just wanna throw some axes around :)

This is our new favorite date night spot! They have the nicest employees working there and they are always making sure everyone is having a great time. We ordered a pizza the last time we went and it was delicious! Having the best pinball machines and a wide variety of great beers on tap is a big plus too!

If you are stressed out or just frustrated, this is a good place to go. This is a good stress reliever. It is a good hang out place with friends and laughter will be everywhere. Anyway, you can bring your own food and they have ax for you to borrow. The staff are friendly and I would definitely recommend this place

I have been looking around for a while on where to book my son's 10th birthday. Not only did Mighty Axe have the best pricing in the area for a bigger group, they were always so helpful answering all of my questions and assisting with my reservation. I know he's going to have a blast and I'm very thankful for their patience and ability to accommodate our group.

One of my favorite spots. Outside of the ax throwing, which is always a good time, this place has so much more. First off, Autumn the bartender is super sweet and helpful. This place has so much good beer on draft, props for having Enegren!, and they have a ton of pinball machines. I could honestly live here. Also, more props for having jerky from mohagany meats in bishop. I love this place. Great happy hour too. $5 happy hour beers

First time axe throwing and it was actually pretty cool. Nice way to get out some pent up stress / aggression . Our axepert was Jessica & she was funny and gave tips to the people next to us which was cool . They have beer and food if you're thirsty / hungry and it wasn't that bad . They also have happy hour where it's cheaper throwing . Inside is nice and cozy , gives like a old cabin vibe Overall I'd go again - located in a nice area too

My kids took me here for Father's Day - we had a blast. Caitlin and Joey took great care of us too. Definitely coming back again - so much fun!

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming to all. If you like establishments that greet you sincerely as you enter and are genuinely happy you're visiting, this is one of those rare gems. We have loved our date nights throwing axes with Joey's guidance! Autumn is always happy to deliver our drinks to whatever pinball machine we're playing, trying to get the high score!! Super easy to order great food - also delivered to your axe throwing station or high top. This place and its employees are doing it right!!

I've been here a couple times and hung out at the bar for drinks when we forgot to where closed toes shoes (who woulda thunk it that we can't axe throw without them ikr! Lol we shoulda known. ) So yeah don't forget them!!! Also don't forget to make a reservation before showing up . Especially to ensure there's a lane available for the time you want to play. I've been to the one in Calabasas and that was fun being outdoors and all. But this was perfect for a rainy day and having a nice bar inside and the option to or food from the surrounding restaurants and they deliver right to you ! What really stood out here is the ability to change the picture that's projected onto the throwing board for different game options and to keep score as well. P.s. my go to beer here is Liquid Candy!

The service from Jessica and Joey during our first time there was outstanding. Jessica really shared tips to throw the ax and was very prompt with getting our beers refilled. Even replaced my beer for me because I didn't like the first one I tried. Pinball was fun also.

Amelia was AMAZING at giving direction and was overall kind and extremely helpful. She made sure my party always had drinks and made sure we were taken care of. Joey was fabulous as well by providing excellent service and making sure we felt important. The location itself was awesome inside and the music was great and definitely suited everybody. This was my second time here and i will be back again! Thank you Amelia and Joey for providing us an amazing experience!

Amazing fun! Went here last night with a bunch of friends for my birthday. What a blast! So much fun! The ambiance is relaxed and not rushed at all! All the employees are friendly and ready to make your evening one to remember! Our bartender was wonderful, offering tips and samples! Our Axepert, Justin, really made the evening though. He gave each one of us a lesson in how to throw the axe. He was extremely patient and friendly! He worked with me until I got a bullseye! He came by several times to check on us and ensure we were having the best time possible! He even came up front after we finished and took a picture with us. He gave me a huge fake axe to hold! So fun! Thank you again, Justin! You really made our evening lots of fun! We'll be back!

JT and Nathan helped out our large group of CVUSD teachers and their significant others! So helpful and appreciative of their tips on how to throw an axe! Also large selection of beers and other drinks! Overall, a great date night with your significant other or large group!

An okay place to go with friends or on a date. The food and drinks are local. A little bit on the expensive side though; expect to pay $200 for two people, for 2 hours of axe throwing and food/drinks.
