We always enjoy the brisket, ribs, and pulled pork we get at the farmers market. This year we ordered a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and a smoked ham for Christmas. They were both the best respectively we have ever had. We highly recommend Mission BBQ

This review is long past due! Our church has a large choir and orchestra and each year we have a break in between our concerts on the last day and they all need to be fed. The team was amazing. They set up such a great spread and it was fast, quick, and efficient. They were on time, the food was delicious, and everyone was happy with how much they got and the quality of the food. Mission BBQ in La Canada, CA serves up delicious pork ribs and tasty chopped chicken. While I'd prefer the chicken bone-in for more flavor, it's still good. Plus, the Saturday door delivery with a smile from Judith adds an extra touch of satisfaction to the experience!

I could not recommend The Mission Barbecue enough! I hired them for my baby shower and it was a hit. Everybody loved it. The food, the service, the energy of the staff, the presentation was perfect. Will definitely be using them again!

The Mission Barbeque has catered our daughter's birthday party for the last two years. We have ordered brisket, pulled pork and chicken and our guests always comment on how delicious it is. The team has also delivered the food which is such a big help during a busy day with a lot of setup. It is so easy to communicate with Judith and get her opinion on guest count and quantity. I ordered Mission Barbeque on a whim for my husband's birthday and immediately again for our Super Bowl party. The brisket and ribs are out of control tender and delicious. Service is also responsive and professional. This is the best barbecue in town!

OMG the best barbecue I've had in a while, everything is cooked low and slow according to the owner. Also it's my understanding the owner won the second best barbecue for tri-tip in the country yes it's that good! I ordered Mission Barbeque for an extended family dinner after my grandson's birthday party on Saturday. The food was delivered and brought directly into the kitchen for me. Best barbeque around, you can taste the love and artistry in every bite. Judith and George know what they are doing and you can taste the hard work and dedication. I tried the award winning tri tip but I can't imagine you can go wrong with any of their delicious options. I know where Im bringing all of my lovers and friends for some delicious smoked meats. Had the tri-tip sandwich with "the works." It was the mother, the queen, la reina, the warrior princess...of all barbecue sandwiches. Juicy beef, creamy mac, tangy cole slaw, and crispy pickles. Ridiculously good.

Glad I discovered The Mission Barbeque. You will be glad too. The ribs are tender and moist. The cole slaw and mac n cheese are great, the those are the best collards I've tasted in a long time, I hope the chefs will continue making. The mini corn bread loaf is delicious too. Got the Super Bowl special and wish the sides were larger to last as long as the meats. They go fast!

Great service and friendly staff. They give ample tastings too. They are pretty quick in getting your food to you fast. Also, checkout the bottled pop because they have favorites like Big Red and Orange Crush. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the taste of their food too.

The words are not enough!!! I had a small party for 6 adults and 10 kids. Honestly speaking, I was about to order from other restaurant which offer same kind food with Mission barbeque. It is decent restaurant which is our family liked. But I wanted to serve my guest with better food. And luckily I found Mission Barbeque on just the day before party. I left a message on website and the number on yelp at night around 9:00. I didn't expect they will respond but they did as soon as they checked the message. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Long story short. They made my wish happen!!! The food arrived on time(sharp!). And the food????? Oh.....My mouth is watering again while I am writing this review. I ordered Ribs(4 racks), Coleslaw(1/2 tray), Mac and Cheese(1/2). The portion of food was way enough!(every guest wanted me to pack left over) I really loved their food! Words are not enough!!!!!!! You MUST try this wonderful company!!!! Their service is very reliable and professional and the food is THE ART !!!! You will get lot of compliments from your guest!!! One of my guest said Mac and Cheese is the best in the world she has ever eaten before!!!!( She didn't even try BBQ. If she tasted BBQ, she would say "This is the ONE!!!"). My favorite was Coleslaw!!! It is very different compare to others. Is is not beatable!!! You won't regret!!! As you noticed that I am not fluent in English. So I rarely leave a review. But this time I really wanted to praise this wonderful company to let many people can enjoy it. Thank you Judith!!! You made my day!!!!

I think of true down south "Tennessee " Barbque when I ate this. The love that's put into the food is just as important as the recipe can I say The Mission Barbque has it down to a science. I promise that you wont regret eating this barbque!!! Tell your family and friends that a the south made it to Cali....

We tasted the barbecue from Mission Barbecue at the pop up location at Stone Brewing next to the Luggage Room in Pasadena. What can I say? Delicious-period. The tender brisket, which was smoked perfectly, melted in our mouths and the Mac and cheese was perfect. In addition, the staff were so gracious and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful culinary experience. I will look forward to the other choices on the menu which I am sure will not disappoint.

Unbelievably incredible food! The meat from The Mission Barbeque is exquisite, moist, full of flavour and clearly made with love. Coincidentally I found out that this is a family owned business and the owner's daughters work and cook the food too. Over 14 hours of cooking time for their pulled pork and meat is something I've never had before and The Mission Barbeque puts this much time and love in to all of their meats. Try their macaroni cheese and coleslaw too and you will be in heaven with all of it. I highly recommend this place for their food and the love and care they put in to everything they do. We are in lockdown (again) so make sure to order food in, they can cater for large numbers too.

Delicious!! Judith and her team delivered to my nursing staff some of the best Barbeque pork any of us had ever had. The sandwiches and sides were individually wrapped. During this COVID-19 pandemic, that was especially appreciated. Her and her team delivered to us twice to assure the day shift staff and the night shift staff received their food freshly made--so appreciated. From my nursing team to Judith and her kind-hearted, Barbeque geniuses, thank you for the delicious meal, thoughtful approach, and kindness!!

Best tri tip ever! Brisket also delicious but the tri tip was out of this world. This is a family-owned business and it was a delight to meet Judith, Cassandra, and George. Meals are reasonably priced and they donate a portion of their proceeds to feed the homeless. During the pandemic, they do mostly pop-ups and deliveries so you may need to check their website to find them. But you will not regret it! Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I can't wait to come back.

They are at Stone brewing tonight in Pasadena, and oh my goodness! I'm so glad I stopped by tonight, the tri tip was soooo tender. That was cooked with tender loving care. Absolutely amazing tenderness, flavor and the bbq sauce had the right amount of spice. If you can find them, go and feast, You will not be disappointed.

Once again The Mission Barbeque delivered mouthwatering goodness! We had a small backyard graduation celebration and everyone raved about the food. We ordered brisket, ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw and mac n cheese! The food was delivered hot and ON TIME! I told Judith that I would like to serve dinner about 6 pm and delivery was spot on! Judith helped me determine how much to order and we have just enough leftover for dinner the next night. It has been a few weeks and we are all craving more Mission Barbeque! Incredible incredible food! I can't say enough about how delicious their bbq is, especially the burnt ends, the Mac and cheese, the cornbread, the ribs... We had a bbq get together at our home and all the guests could talk about were how delicious the food was, honestly made the party. Everyone asked who catered and got Mission Barbeque's information before leaving. The customer service was also above and beyond, they're very nice people. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich topped with mac & cheese and coleslaw. And WOW! The pork is so tender and juicy and the mac & cheese just elevated the sandwhich to a whole other level. The mac & cheese had this great smoky flavor and it gave the pork that extra smokiness. I've had some good BBQ from across different states but this has got to be my favorite! Definitely worth the money and you gotta try this sandwich! It's my new fav :)

Great bar b que. rib meat falls of the bone. Brisket has perfect smoked flavor and the smoked lining of the meat shows the perfection!!!! I am a repeat customer for life!!!! Keep the bar b que coming!!!!

My family and I had the Brisket meal. It was delicious. Such cool and nice people. The sides are equally as good as the meats. They compliment them nicely. Will definitely order again.

I ordered catering for 65. We are a non profit veteran service organization, so we need to make sure we're getting the bang for our buck. We weren't disappointed as the Mission BBQ delivered. The pulled pork and the pork spare ribs were a tremendous hit, as was the mac and cheese. To top it off, we ordered a half sheet of the pineapple upside down cake. Talk about a great dessert to finish off a great meal. Highly recommend.

The best brisket and ribs! I found this business on Yelp when I had an upcoming party. The guests went crazy for the food. One guest lives in Torrance (we were located in Tujunga) and he said he hoped they delivered to Torrance. Judith was a delight to work with and very kind. Today was our 1st encounter with The Mission Barbeque. We were blown away! I surprised my husband with Brisket, Ribs & Pulled Pork. I also ordered the mild BBQ sauce & that was awesome. This is our new go to place for BBQ!!

When I can manage to get to the farmers market, I buy 2 lbs. of the most awesome brisket imaginable. No sauce needed. The beef stands alone. I hoard it as long as possible, feeling like Charlie Bucket. Honest-to-God, I hardly eat any other beef. Why bother when I can have this?! Get to the farmers market early, as the first thing on the menu to sell-out is the brisket.

By far, the best tasting BBQ, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Love the vinegar-based cole slaw. And, the family owners are absolutely glorious. The beef is grass fed and so tender.

Not many words can express how delicious their brisket is other than AMAZING! I've eaten a lot of briskets in my lifetime and this ranks up with the very best. The perfect amount of seasoning, smokiness and extremely tender! I preordered some burnt ends, I can't wait to pick them up and devour them next Saturday. My work has me traveling to a lot of BBQ meccas (Nashville, Austin, Raleigh, St. Louis). Their bbq can hang in any of those cities. I had the pork ribs. Its fantastic. You can tell they do it slow and low. I 'stole' a piece of brisket from my friend and that was just as amazing. Looking forward to their next pop up!

We are super glad we ordered this super food for our super bowl party. Our guest list ballooned to 40 people and every guest raved about the food. Judith and her family are very easy to work with and delivered gorgeous food right on time. It was delicious. Stop by the LC Farmers Market and definitely get the brisket.

I didn't know I could find good barbecue in LA. Just went to their pop up at the Stone Tap Room In Pasadena and picked up some brisket and pork ribs. The food is legit. The brisket is tender and juicy and full of smokey peppery goodness. The pork ribs were juicy and full of flavor. The spicy sauce was the icing one the cake. If you crave legit barbecue call these people. You won't be disappointed.

DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! Slap me in my mouth TWO times because my taste buds were singing the joys of the creamy and cheesy Mac n Cheese baked to mouth watering deliciousness from Mission Barbeque. And just when I thought my taste bud adventure couldn't get more thrilling, I took a bite of their moist cornbread and down the roller coaster of food exhilaration I went...and thankfully I wasn't riding solo because my friends were also speechless by the juiciness, flavor and well seasoned pulled pork that melted in their mouths like m&m's. I used the Mission Barbeque to cater a party. Judith was such a pleasure to work with and made the process super easy! She advised us on exactly the right amount of food and the pricing was very reasonable. Judith and her team were on time, set up everything for us and came to pick up the chafing dishes after the party. On time, efficient, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious and was a true hit. Even the southerners in the group commented on how good the BBQ was! I'd definitely recommend using The Mission Barbeque for anyone planning an event - takes all the guess work out of the equation and it's sure to be quality food.

Born and raised in Texas, I can positively say this is the best brisket I've had in California, bar none. Smoky, tender, well seasoned, and most importantly, MOIST--you can tell a good brisket when it doesn't need sauce, and boy did Pitmaster George do it right! Mission Barbeque can compete with the biggest/baddest in Houston and Austin. I also tried their spicy barbeque sauce, regular barbeque sauce, St. Louis style ribs, mac 'n cheese, and baked beans which are quite impressive. Looking for an excuse to throw a Mission Barbeque catered party so I can try their beef ribs.

Okay, guys, I have had barbeque all over the country and this is the BEST I've ever had. The smokiness and flavor is LEGIT. I was not even expecting to eat barbeque when I went to the farmers market but I couldn't resist the smell! The brisket is amazing! So juicy and doesn't even need sauce but trust me you'll want the bbq sauce because it's delicious!! They have a regular and a spicy and I love all things spicy so that's definitely what I picked. Sooooo good! I wish they sold bottles of it because there is nothing like it in stores! The mac and cheese was so good and creamy and they put it in the smoker with the meat so it gets that deep smoky flavor too - genius!! My boyfriend got the smoked bratwurst and loved it! Had a great snap to it just like a good sausage should! Also, I normally HATE coleslaw but this place does it right! Cold, fresh, and crispy. A really great and refreshing compliment to the meat. Best of all, the employees were SO kind and friendly. I'd happily pay double what they ask for anything on the menu. Can't wait to go back and try the ribs and pulled pork! So next time you're driving past La Canada and see those tents on the overpass, take the exit!! The Mission Barbeque is a MUST!

Great food! I had to plan an event in LA so I was very happy to find a company that was easy to work with and delivered an AMAZING product. The brisket was one of the best I have ever had, I could have eaten an full tray by myself. I would use them again for any event I have.

We ran into this place at the La Canada Farmers Market. Can't speak for the meat but saw plenty of people ordering and enjoying it. The mac and cheese is smokey and creamy, the bbq sauce you can tell is homemade, and the beans were full of flavor. Staff was very friendly!

They catered an event for our card club in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The brisket was tender, the Mac & cheese was creamy, the ribs were finger-licking good! The meal also included pulled pork, choice of salad or cole slaw, baked beans, sausage, and croissants. Try them when you do not want to BBQ yourself and leave all the work to them.

Best caterer I've ever hired. Wow... those ribs! Perfect food, nice people, attentive service. They showed up on time and worked with me to create the perfect menu for our company picnic. I never tried brisket this good in my entire life. I dont know what their secret is but theyve got one. The brisket is smokey flavorful juicy n the crust is nice n chewy. Its really perfect. I reallllly didn't know brisket could taste this good. I never been a huge fan of brisket or anything but I keep thinkiNg about this place. It was so good. Slaw wAs 100% good. I wish their macc anD cheese used more variety in cheeses n maybe a sharper cheese but thats just personal preference, its an original basic mac and cheese nothing to complain about. Cant stop thinking about their brisket though it was sooooooooooooooo good. Brisket that beats out all the a5 wagyu steaks ive ever tried in los angeles plus some slaw and mac n cheeese. Mac n cheeese just needs a touch more sharp chedder n it is perfect. My god this brisket is gods gift to mankind sooooo good i dont have the words. If i could choose the most expensive meal at lawrys or this brisket im taking the brisket 9/10 times. God bless mission bbq. Their ribs are just god tier best ribs i ever had in my life

We are BBQ folks. We smoke our own and have traveled the country trying different spots. There is so much that goes into BBQ. For those of us who truly love it; it's an art form and science of cuts, color, bark, brine -- the whole deal. We've experienced much of the local (Southern California) flavor and have found a few spots that excel. We moved up to Pasadena recently and were Yelping to see if there was a BBQ spot up here that we could try. When we came upon Mission I was skeptical. It didn't make sense that a BBQ spot would do catering and weekend farmer's market stuff. The only way to see if the reviews were legit was to give it a shot. We found the location at the farmer's market tucked away and because we were late in the day, had to pick from the meats that were left. Ribs, brisket, mac & cheese -- and the two sauces they stocked (mild & spicy). Our order was bundled and we brought it home and launched into the meal. Brisket -- soft, moist, flavorful. Brisket is not easy to cook. It can get dry and -- sometimes greasy from the fat. This was none of that. It was excellent -- some of the best ever. 5/5!!! Ribs -- very good. Solid. My personal perfect-preference is ribs that are just a touch less moist -- but we are talking the difference between 98/100 or 94/100. They were solid. Great flavor. Mac & Cheese. Excellent. Texture, color, flavor, taste -- all outstanding. 5/5!!! Sauce. We had a cup of each of their offerings: spicy and mild. Each had a lovely smokey flavor. The spicy had a nice kick without blowing the back out of your throat. Again -- this is a little nitpicky, but we find the perfect sauce to be a touch less sticky. We've had great first meals and horrible second meals at certain spots and horrible first meals and great second meals. We like to try the food several times before writing reviews so we ordered again for another experience. This time we added baked beans, burnt ends, and smoked chicken to the meal. Second time was exactly as great as the first time. Everything was solid, solid, solid. Now -- the thing that gives Mission six-stars is the folks behind the food. These people are dedicated to making a contribution to the world through food as few are. They are kind, generous, dedicated -- truly amazing!!!! Judith and her family are the kind of folks I want to invite over to have the food we just bought from them!!! Wonderful, wonderful people!! Thank you so much Mission!!!! We are dedicated fans and followers for as long as you make food!!!

Can't recommend this place highly enough. Incredibly nice and wonderful customer service. But most importantly the food is amazing! You'll be hard pressed to find better burnt ends in California.
