The 11 Best Brunch Spots in Broward County

"Broward has two Modern Rose locations – one in the Gateway Plaza in Fort Lauderdale and one in Deerfield Beach’s Cove Shopping Center. The Deerfield spot is the newer of the two, arriving in May 2023. Brunch staples include an array of avocado toasts, salads, and plenty of options for the keto and vegan crowds." - Jesse Scott

Absolutely LOVED this spot. I have been going to St Augustine for over 14 years and have my usual spots locked in but this time around we decided to try something new when we found this hidden gem. The decoration was absolutely stunning and different. I had the modern panini and added sliced turkey to it which I really loved along with the creamy earl tea. This is to die for would recommend to anyone I can. The service was excellent as well everyone was super sweet 🩷

Cozy Victorian Charm Meets Coffee Bliss Nestled in a tiny spot in Deerfield Beach, The Modern Rose is bursting with Victorian vibes. Think walls adorned with eclectic paintings and decor that makes you feel like you've stepped into a quaint tea room. The menu is huge, but seating? Not so much. It can get quite cozy, with folks often sharing tables. If you’re in the front room, be prepared—it gets warm with the constant door swings on a busy Sunday. But head to the back room, and you'll find a cool, refreshing escape. Now, let's talk about the coffee. The iced cappuccino was spot-on, and the specialty drinks are a blast to explore, with plenty of milk options to suit all preferences. As for the food, I went for the avocado toast with spicy flakes and Mexican corn (“some like it spicy”). It was delicious, but be warned—it comes with a generous heap of Parmesan cheese on top. If you’re a cheese lover, you’re in for a treat! I also added egg whites which it was missing. In short, The Modern Rose is a charming little spot with great vibes and even better coffee. Just bring your patience for the seating situation and an appetite for unique flavors.

From design to service to the delicious lattes, this is definitely a place I wish I had visited a lot sooner but no time is better than the present. What a cute coffee shop with some of the friendliest workers I’ve ever encountered. Run don’t walk to this amazing place.

Google
This place has a very unique interior aesthetic, lots of visual sensory load but in a way that feels intriguing - like walking through a modern art museum. The drink menu matches the distinctness of the decor and they have a lot of unique options that I have never seen anywhere else, like a dirty rose chai and boba drinks to accompany the usual coffee shop items. The food was good, just what you might expect from a sandwich — nothing special in my opinion but I would order the breakfast sandwich again. There one issue is the space is a little cramped at peak times but only because of their seemingly high demand. It’s a good problem to have for a business owner, people like the cafe!

Google
Very nice atmosphere and the employees are all very helpful. My only advice is to arrive early. This place is extremely popular and the few tables they have are first come first served. We lucked out because someone was going after only waiting 10 minutes. The food was very unique with several different choices. Something for everyone. The coffee was the best l have had!

One of my favorite places to take friends, family, and coworkers!! The Modern Rose is more than a coffee shop, it is a lovely cafe oasis! You’ll find amazing employees who feel more like old friends, delicious food and drinks that will have your mouth watering just thinking about it, and the most wonderful atmosphere to relax, connect or work. So grateful to have found this gem! Especially because they are so accommodating to different dietary restrictions. Plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.

I visited The Modern Rose on a rainy Friday afternoon with my partner. The atmosphere, vibe, and ambiance that the owner has created are truly delightful. However, I encountered some challenges with the seating. The space is quite small and not very practical at times, making it hard to find a comfortable spot. We had to switch tables because the couch was lower than the actual table. Additionally, ordering from the table using a QR code was not available, which was a bit inconvenient. The staff, on the other hand, were extremely friendly and nice. Their camaraderie was evident, and it added a positive touch to the experience. As for the food, I’m trying to keep an open mind given the rave reviews, but it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. I wouldn’t come back specifically for the food. We had the Vegan French bruschetta and the Spicy avocado toast. While fresh and tasty, they were dishes I could easily make at home. On the other hand, the drinks were a highlight. I ordered the Blue Eyes and the Chaga-ccino, and both were amazing. I would definitely return just for these. Overall, I appreciate the effort and passion the owner has put into creating this place. While the food didn’t quite meet my expectations, the drinks and the warm, friendly staff made the visit worthwhile.

Yelp
The Modern Rose is such a dreamy place!!! I am so happy I stumbled upon it during my time in town. I ended up visiting twice while in town. I love any coffee shop with unique flavors and drinks, and there is no shortage of lovingly crafted drinks and food here. During my first visit, I got an apple pie rose pastry and a Blue Eyes coffee. Both were delicious! I decided to get the Tulum Sammie and loved it. It is a bigger breakfast sandwich and I only had a quarter, so I planned to bring it home to share with my cousin's kids. I found myself putting it away but still taking bites, even though I was full. That's how delicious it was! It was met with rave reviews from my cousin's kids, as well. I got the Aphrodi-Tea to-go and it was lovely. I loved the tea with sweet almond foam. It was a nice mix of fruity and creamy and was very unique. I returned to try the boba tea with my cousin's kids since they are huge boba fans. The UltraViolet Boba was such a cool looking drink and tasted delicious. My cousin's kids enjoyed their boba, as well. They have a sampler option for some drink varieties, which is helpful. The Modern Rose is cozy and has a mix of different decor that works well together. All employees there were kind and helpful. I definitely plan to return if I am ever in the area.

Yelp
This is my favorite coffee place in the area. I've lived in Pompano for over 2 decades and am always checking out all the coffee places in the community. My friend introduced me to Modern Rose, and after she did, I became obsessed and started getting all my other friends hooked on it also!! Deerfield beach is my backyard so every Saturday after the beach, me and my friends go to Modern Rose for breakfast. The decor is like a vintage/antique vibe, with only a few tables on the front and couches and tables in the back. The place always fills up quick so the earlier you get there the better! There are several healthy options, lots of different kinds of omelets and sandwiches, and everything on the menu is delicious! The drip/americano coffee is delicious and has free refills so if you're not in the mood for a latte or a fancy drink, get the American coffee, you'll not be disappointed!

Yelp
Robust menu. Unique retro vibe. Amazing service. Welcoming. Delish food, delish drinks. Solid breakfast joint, go!

Yelp
I still love this restaurant. This last time I got the keto breakfast (Two eggs with kale & tomato, fresh mozz, tomato, 1/2 avocado, prosciutto, salmon). Absolutely delicious! I always get the Chaga-ccino to drink (aka the Millennial Mocha- Wild-foraged chaga mushroom is blended with vanilla, monk fruit, cinnamon, cacao, espresso & almond mylk- vegan, GF, keto, delicious). Highly recommend both and I'm sure I'll get it again soon!

Yelp
After hearing from a friend, I made a reservation for five of us and met the ladies for breakfast at this local cafe Saturday morning. When we arrived we were seated at a nice table in the back room. The first thing they explained on the phone and upon arrival there is no table service. We were all on with this. The front room is very small and everyone lines up at the counter to order so it is very crowded. The front and back room tables were all full. I am very happy they took our reservation and held our table in the back room . Both room were decorated so pretty. Old fashion and modern combined with lots of hearts and flowers..a lovely tea room atmosphere. We looked over the menu which was filled with a wonderful variety of breakfast and lunch items all on the healthy side along with a huge coffee and tea selection. They even had a page filled with Boba teas. I chose the Almond Joy coffee and a spicy Avocado toast. Both were so good. One of the ladies had a lavender coffee sprinkled with lavender petals. We all agreed we would return as this little gem is in our backyard and we are lucky to have found it. The parking was easy and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and taste. We will also venture out to the Ft Lauderdale location!

Yelp
My cousin from Orlando came to south Florida and I wanted to take her to a nice brunch spot. We found The Modern Rose on Instagram. There are three locations. This is the Deerfield Beach location. We came on a Sunday around 11:30 am. Upon arrival, you sit yourself to any available table. The service is friendly and very attentive. Feel free to ask other guest if you can sit next to the them at the tables. The room has beautiful decor. The ambiance is very comforting, calm, and laid back. It was busy but calm at the same time if that makes sense. Lol I also got the ice tea with lavender. Delicious! You much stop by! I learned that on the weekend it's first come first serve. For the weekend you can reserve a table but 24 hours in advance. On the week day you can reserve day of.

Yelp
We had a book club outing to the modern rose... and a nearby romance bookstore. First time I had heard of this place: apparently super instagrammable... and with great food choices... so I was excited to check it out! So my first impression was a bit of a bewildered look: it seemed a very small hole-in-the-wall spot... and the line at the register for take out was huge! And then: I walked past the register and the line to a larger room in the back, with more of the fun eclectic decor, tables of all sizes, and a QR-code menu on the table that facilitated (somewhat) our ordering! And someone actually brings the food and drinks out to your table? Awesome!! So we figured out the large choices available- it took a while to scroll all the way back down... you can check out without registering, so that was good to know. The ordering process was a bit cumbersome, but we managed placing the order, and waited and chit chatted. It was a long wait as the place was buzzing on a Sunday! The thing is: then you have to pay attention because when an order appears, they call your name- I thought each table would have a code with order, but it doesn't so pay attention. Anyway, the ordering and delivering process needs to work better - it took a while, the orders came out individually (meaning I placed an order for 2 drinks, one sandwich and one dessert, and we got one drink, then one dessert, then another drink and finally after a long wait: the sandwich!) so be patient and have lots and lots to talk about (which we did)(but we were hungryyyy!) Food-wise: everything tasted delicious! No wonder they have such great attendance!! The variety of choices and foods I saw delivered to other tables was so good... we wanted to order more! But we were full... I had a caramel brûlée tea that was surprisingly flavorful: I always think of coffee in terms of caramel or milky beverages: well this tea was subtle in taste and delicious. My friend ordered an Arnold Palmer that she said was good too. Then i ordered a warm croissant with Brie, almonds, blueberries and honey that was delectable- perhaps I missed a bit more Brie to it- but the flavors did come thru. And my friend ordered a scone and they had run out of all the others except the raspberry one (we wanted pistachio) and also of the jelly or mascarpone- so we had to just have plain warm scone: which was very good... sad they had run out of the mascarpone. Overall, service was cordial, the staff kept apologizing for the delays in service and the missing items due to the place being so full, so they were concerned. Still we did miss out on several things we wanted to order as they were not available: and it was only noon on Sunday! The atmosphere inside was super cute: all sorts of little adornments and couches and tables of all sizes, made this a quirky and cool spot for a meeting. We did have a good time, and enjoyed our food so much... that are planning on going to the one located in Hollywood - that happens to have more food choices and is located closer to us! Woohoo! Enjoy!

Yelp
We've had the Banana-Coconut bread here multiple times and it is really good. They have an impressive breakfast menu but as the website says, since everything is made from scratch it could take up to 45 mins before your order gets served so keep that in mind.

Yelp
Yum!! Small, but lovely space so GO EARLY and don't plan for conversations you don't want to share with everyone. I got there before 9 and there was a nice line forming when I left. CAVEAT: There is a lot of cholesterol on this table and I don't have a gallbladder anymore. I'll make different choices next time so I can finish the food on my plate. The sandwich is basically a grilled cheese, so between the that, the egg, bacon, cheese, and avocado...it was too much for my little tummy. I still highly recommend.

Yelp
Delicious spot I checked out while I was in the area. I LOVE all the tres options especially and how big the menu is overall. The decor is very sweet and cozy, and we were able to bring our dog, which was great. The service was great and the meal was super yummy!

Yelp
Quick and friendly service. High quality food. Chill vibes. The perfect brunch spot. We went off-peak time and got a table right away. Delicious egg pizza, banana chai latte and a spinach puff pastry for appetizer. We'll be back to other locations. A lot of love and detail by the owners. Bravo! New fans.

Yelp
Walked into this cute eclectic coffee space filled with a mishmash of purposeful clutter. The seating was unique. Easy ordering, find a table and scan the qr code. They do advise wait times can be up to 45 minutes when busy, but the place was packed when we went and our food came in about 20 minutes worth coffee shortly after. Food was delicious. I was thoroughly enjoying our visit until at the end I watched both the female and male kitchen staff leave the kitchen with gloves on, go to the "powder" room and return to the kitchen with their gloves on..... I'm hoping they changed gloves but doubtful. Since we didn't get ill after only knocking one star, but better glove practices would be advised...

Yelp
This is such a cute little hole in the wall that blew me away. Perfect spot for a quick bite if you're hanging out with friends, grab a great drink, or just want to do some studying. I had the Some Like It Spicy, which is a nice twist to your typical avocado toast. Perfect savory dish and very filling too. The Strawberry Match Boba is also a must try if you're a matcha fan. The staff is so kind and will give great recommendations. Love to see them expanding to other parts of Broward!

Yelp
Made a trip up to Deerfield Beach to check out Modern Rose. Decor and aesthetics were so cute and vibey. There wasn't much tables and places to sit but we were able to snag a table quickly. Bathrooms were clean. Line to order took a bit long so it was nice that we were able to order on our phones through the QR code at the tables. The food itself was really delicious and many options for brunch. One down side for me was that the menu listed fresh lemonade but it was out of Kirkland gallons... Service was a bit slow but if you're going in a group of girls the time goes by and one doesn't notice so much!

Yelp
PROS: Food was amazing! They definitely did not disappoint. The flavors and presentation were beautiful. I loved my iced tea and my hubby said the coffee was great. CONS: Clearly this is based on our experience and taste....BUT, with seating was horrible. We ordered and then had to standby waiting for a seat. Then we get a seat on a sinking couch with a table that was way to high to actually function as a table to enjoy a meal at. We luckily saw a couple leaving and moved to another couch/loveseat thing. This time it was a glass table with a wobbling leg. In the end, for us there was too much focus on being 'quirky' and not enough function. We would love to come back, but we now know we need to find a better seat first before ordering food so we know we will be able to enjoy the whole experience.

Yelp
If you want a modern cute antique hip place with couches go here. The modern breakfast sandwich was great. The avocado toast was made on a small thin crispy piece of toast, topped with tomatoes, I have had much better. We ordered two cafe lattes, it felt like we got two different coffee's, one was too hot, milk lost its flavor and the other tasted okay. Before leaving we placed an order for a cappuccino to go and asked for whole milk and a naan bread with cheese and fruit. I waited 40 minutes standing up for this. I watched them prepare the coffee in front of my eyes, they used 2% milk, I asked them "you don't have whole milk." They said yes, yours is whole milk. Then I waited another 15 minutes for the naan bread. The place is too busy, they need to have more employees in order to accommodate such large crowds and offer better customer service. The next day we went to sylvan's breakfast cafe! They didn't have couches, but they had a real excellent spectacular breakfast and service.

Yelp
The main reason I am giving this location Four stars is the service. Friend and I came in on a Sunday after loving the vibe of their Fort Lauderdale location. Neither of us ordered anything too complicated. I got a tea beverage, and my friend got one of their signature beverages. We sat down and about 5 minutes later I got my drink & warmed gluten free brownie. It took about 20 minutes for my friend to get her signature drink. There were several people who received their food and beverages that came after us to my friend receiving her individual drink. The drinks were good. Although, I wasn't very clear on what I was ordering, and when I tried to add something I was dissuaded not to add it.

Yelp
Went for brunch and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and brought out our food promptly. The drinks were very aesthetically pleasing and tasted great! The food was also delicious with the right amount of seasoning and really good sizes for the price. The inside was very cute and well decorated. I highly recommend them! Also, to note, they have plenty of seating and we were able to call ahead and make a reservation for our party of 5. I mention this because their Fort Lauderdale location has very few seating.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Modern Rose. I've been to all 3 of their locations (Deerfield, Ft. Lauderdale & Hollywood). I first heard about them thru a Yelp Elite event over a year ago and have been raving about them since. The service is also amazing and the employees so nice. The food and drinks are always aesthetically gorgeous, delicious, and healthy. I have had several menu items so will describe my thoughts on all: - avocado toast- I've had the modern avocado toast, some like it spicy, just keep swimming, summer in Venice, and the Venetian and I like them all. Their avocado toasts are actually my fave food of theirs. My favorite out of them is some like it spicy, 2nd favorite is the summer in venice. - Lotus Flower Bomb - while I love banana bread, I was skeptical to get this bc I do not like cookie butter and was worried the cookie butter would be overpowering. I was wrong. It's perfectly balanced, sweet w/o being too sweet, and the banana bread is so moist and delicious, and it's topped with bruleed bananas. It's served with two eggs. It's amazing. Get it. - Modern Egg sandwich - it's an egg and cheese sandwich. It's ok. - Tulum Sammie - sooooo good! It basically tastes like a mix of some like it spicy avocado toast and an egg sandwich. - Tuscan sammie- this sounded better than it actually was. It was ok. I wouldn't get again. The drinks I have tried are: - Creamy London - love this. Highly recommend if you like earl grey tea. Get it hot. - Caramel crème brûlée - love this. My favorite drink of theirs. Get it hot. - Eva's banana chai latte - sounded better than it actually was. I thought I would love it but didn't like it. I wouldn't order again. - Churro cold brew - hated this. But if you like cold brew you may like I have more pics of their other dishes in my other Modern Rose reviews. The moral of the story is...go to Modern Rose!!

Yelp
Every time I make the drive out here I am never disappointed. Seating options aren't the best and tend to be limited but the food and drinks are ALWAYS on point! I leave waiting to come back. Haven't had a bad thing yet!

Yelp
I honestly see why this place has amazing reviews. I went there on a Sunday morning with my friend. I think we lucked out because when we were leaving it got so packed so fast I ordered the banana chia tea latte and it did not disappoint at all. It wasn't too sweet it was honestly just right and I'm not a banana type of gal. Food: My friend got avocado toast, and it was super delicious and the tomatoes were very fresh. I got the some like it spicy avocado toast, and boy oh boy !! Sooo delicious. Imagine an elote , but make it in avocado toast form. My friend also got this banana bread with coconut infused French toast type of thing, and it was by far my favorite thing that I tasted which is absurd because everything I tasted was so good. I got the croissant with eggs and fruits and it was also pretty delicious. 10/10 for service, food, parking, decor. I will for sure be back!!!

Yelp
I've been to Modern Rose countless times and they are always the friendliest even when in their peak times especially with it being so intimate of a place. My go to is always the avocado toast, it's so simple but delicious. I feel like they really make it with a lot of love behind the scenes. That's my typically "to go" meal with a hazelnut latte. My boyfriend will come with me and we eat it time to time and he will get the la vie en matcha which I tried and would definitely get myself too. The service is counter service and you seat yourself but they will bring everything to you. Super eclectic decor which I appreciate. Please add to your list to visit, you won't regret it!

Yelp
The Modern Rose started as a vintage tea boutique in The Cove Shopping Center in Deerfield Beach. Christine, the store's original owner, moved to Georgia and sold the business to the new owners Jimena and Emilio Dominguez who have since added coffee from local roaster Calusa Coffee and snacks like empanadas and avocado toast to the menu. This was my first time at the original Deerfield Beach location although I have visited them in Ft. Lauderdale and at the Delray Beach Market. The space was narrow, cramped, and crowded but filled with charming details and seating arrangements. The interior was decorated with little curios for Halloween. I ordered a slice of their delicious Broccoli Gouda Quiche which was served warm and an refreshing iced Almond Joy latte. After you pay at the counter they bring your order to where ever you can land a seat. The presentation of both the food and drinks is beautiful and even the silverware is exquisite. If you love an eclectic vintage vibe and are craving delicious drinks and light bites, the Modern Rose is the perfect spot to refresh.

Yelp
So I had to return to this lovely place. A true character of a place... decoration says it all. This place is here to stand out and be unapologetically out there ! The people and vibe were so unique and welcoming that me and my gf came back a day after coming in. The food is amazing .... The elevated grilled cheese with a lavender latte is my go to mix but the empanadas are an awesome quick bite This is a new regular spot for me and I always enjoy places that operate like this . While most see a business operating for profit, I see a family of kind people spreading love through their food and awesome vibes... Keep doing what you guys are doing !

Yelp
It's such a pleasure being in this space, when one can snag a table. The beverages are exceptional here, but the menu is also thoughtful. Last time I was here, I ordered something that I did not like very much (and is no longer on the menu!), but then my friend shared half of her modern egg sandwich which was memorably delicious, so I knew I had to order this again- and it did not disappoint the second time! And this time I ordered a butterfly pea tea with coconut in it that was devine AND beautiful. This time I sat in the back room, against the wall at the glass door table. I was slightly nervous that we would break the glass, and getting over the doorframe was a tad awkward, but otherwise love this room. Our server was awesome and attentive. The ONLY thing a little off was that the cafe wi-fi was not working well if at all. However, now that I know that an Xfinity wi-fi hotspot is available here (which comcast customers can use for free with a login!), I need never worry about this again for myself, though it made co-working here pretty impossible. Hopefully this was a one-time thing :) Can't wait for The Modern Rose to return to Palm Beach County - and I vote Lake Worth this time.

Yelp
Super cute lil cafe style with wide variety of food pairings. Chill vibe on a Sunday morning. Slightly busy but not overcrowded. Plenty of eclectic seating choices. Couches and whatnot. Order from the QR code at the table and they bring it to you. Rose Latte delivered. Just what I wanted and delicious! Flavorful and floral. Perfect combo. Modern egg pizza with pesto and mozzarella. Really good. Savory and just enough to eat. Not heavy. I will for sure be back and will bring a friend or two.

Yelp
The Modern Rose has been on my list for so long to check out and I can't believe it's taken me this long. I came 2 days in a row. The first day I stopped by on my way home to grab a cold brew for my boyfriend but once I saw they had coconut banana bread (vegan!) I also ordered that for myself. They offered to warm it up for me too which I always appreciate. It was fantastic, definitely recommend! I also couldn't resist stealing a sip of the cold brew I brought home, which turned into me drinking probably a fourth of it. It was my favorite cold brew I've ever had! Definitely strong which I love. That's when I knew I'd had to go back the next day for a coffee of my own. I returned Sunday morning a bit past 11, and it was as busy as you'd expect a great coffee shop to be at prime hours. The customer service was still top notch even in the middle of a rush. This time I ordered a cold brew for myself, lightly sweetened with agave and a touch of creamer. I also ordered the modern panini to eat. Both were delicious and I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Was looking for a nice coffee spot in the area and came across the modern rose and I was not not expecting what I saw. It's a beautiful shop with a regal kind of vibe and had amazing workers one gave me a recommendation and I absolutely fell in love with the matched with lavender.

Yelp
Food is good and the coffee is very tasteful. The carrot cake is the best that I ever had. Service is outstanding and it's a lot of food. The only problem is I had my dog, 95F outside and they don't have outdoor umbrellas.
google avatar

Yelp
The drinks were absolutely delicious, however the service and food were lacking. Every single one of the girls in the restaurant were snobby, rude, and annoyed when asked to help with the smallest things. Other customers around us tried to get their attention only to be ignored with a brisk walk away by these girls. The restaurant is also more of a cramped hallway than a restaurant. Also good luck getting your coffee/drinks the same time as your food. Would not come here again, you all need a reality check.
google avatar

Alexandra V.

Yelp
I am blown away by the artisan crafted menu. I am a coffee snob. This is my second day in a row. I am also dairy free. Vegan cold foams and seasonal delicacies. This place is a true work of art. They also write fun little sayings on your coffee which make my day!!!

Yelp
This place is so eclectic and beautifully decorated and food is AMAZING! The staff just as interesting as the location my daughter visits from Switzerland and this is our 1st spot! Great great food place and atmosphere.

Yelp
Super friendly staff and an eccentric aesthetic makes this coffee spot a gem. Their lattes were exceptional and fairly priced.

Yelp
Just a very hip coffee shop. Food and service were excellent. But you can't help but fall in love with this place just by walking inside. Even if you don't purchase anything it's an experience just to sit for a minute or two. Awesome place.

Yelp

Yelp
Hole in the wall little coffee shop like this is exactly what my wife loves to find when on vacation. Drinks and food are good. One tip: the free tea associated with the Yelp coupon is only valid with a good order from the kitchen (pastries and such don't count).

Yelp
I have been getting emails from A Modern Rose for a while. I came in to check it out. The small restaurant has two areas front room and a back room with a restroom in each area. The small restaurant has lots of pretty antiques on shelves throughout. There was a consistent traffic of customers and yet it never felt crowded. The restaurant is located in the cove shoppes near the inter coastal waterway - therefore it is on the way to or from the beach. Friendly wait staff that checked back to see if I enjoyed. There are condiments available near the register. I love the fact that this is a woman owner business. It is pretty and the food was delish!!

Yelp
Place is small and quaint. The good fantastic. I ordered the avocado toast full portion, half would have worked for me. I did mine with sunny side up eggs. My son had the breakfast sandwich said it was amazing. On this visit the back dining room was closed for an event so finding a seat was not easy. You pre order and they bring it to you. The place was fun, eclectic a definite go back!!

Yelp
Such a quaint little place with delicious food and tasty drinks. They have a very unique menu with many options. From coffee and tea, to boba, breakfast sandwiches, pastries and more, you are sure to find something yummy. The service was great too. They checked in on us from time to time and got the food and coffee out in a quick fashion. I got the butterbeer latte, and it really did taste like butterbeer out of Harry Potter world. The matcha croissant French toast was unlike anything I've had before. So tasty and the perfect amount of sweetness. It is a bit pricey, but I believe it's due to location. Otherwise 5 stars all around!

Yelp
So there is no need for a fancy introduction for the Modern Rose, this place has been voted THE BEST CAFE in all of Florida. And it's obvious as to why. We went two days in a row where I got to try their empanadas and the lovely pictured avocado toast, the "Some Like it Spicy". The food here was STELLAR, and I literally can mean OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Please try the sweet potato empanada with curry sauce! But this avocado toast? CHEFS KISS. BELLISIMO! So the Modern Rose is world renowned for the customer service and indeed they earned this praise. The staff is exceptionally friendly and hospitable as well, on the 2nd day, we were given FREE MIMOSAS WITH A FOOD PURCHASE. :) heck yes. These went well with the caramel crème brûlée tea I had, and the cinnamon mocha latte my partner got to enjoy. The cafe itself is so elaborately decorated with vintage items and the back area is reminiscent of a French renaissance painting. If you find yourself in Deerfield Beach, make sure to check them out and get a great cup of coffee or tea!

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast with my friend and her five-year-old. We each found things they offer for carnivores and vegans; each item was suited to our preferences. I was sure to get enough protein on my hemp-seed-drenched toast and little man got his side of bacon. We tried some of their fancy drinks and sweets too. Ate it all! The service was sweet and caring. Be sure to check out this unique place. It was a trove for my maximalist preferences with a tea party vibe.

Yelp
I hosted a bridesmaids luncheon at The Modern Rose in Deerfield Beach this past weekend and it was magical! The ambiance is charming, with unique decor and the guests had unlimited choices for coffee and varied tea. The 'some like it spicy' avocado toast is also recommended. Gluten-free options are available. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially our dedicated server Hector, who was knowledgeable and attentive. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch or a special gathering. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Yelp
Pretty and very "instagramable" but underwhelming to say the least. Matcha latte was pretty pricy and pretty bland, pretty but definitely style over substance. Food tasted pretty flavorful, however, one item came out with a hair throughout so my appetite was gone after that .

Yelp
Wish I could say we were super-happy with this place, because it's a cool, fun and interesting spot. Unfortunately, there were some service issues. We ordered some specialty coffees and lunch. It was busy, so the food took a while to come out. The coffees were great. Unfortunately, the sandwiches were not. The Purkey Turkey sandwiches (x2) didn't come out with turkey or cheese. Those ingredients were just missed. The avocado toast we ordered had a hair in it. Also, the tomatoes on the avocado toast didn't taste particularly fresh. The servers made it right - they refunded two of our three sandwiches and were very apologetic. We ate the non-Turkey sandwiches, and they were quite tasty. I feel badly writing a negative review, but I feel like we had a bad experience that I need to share. I would probably come back here and try again.

Yelp
Saturday morning, around 8 am, we finally brought the kids to this breakfast spot. When you walk in, you are immediately transferred into a gorgeous little garden with all sorts of creative space. The front space is packed with tables and chairs squeezed in and decor floor to ceiling. In the middle is where you order, and the line stays consistent. Service is knowledgeable and helpful. There are tables outside, tables packed in the front, and cute more relaxed tables in the back. ALL tables have cute character and a very sweet nature. The food was delicious. Something fits everyone. Food will take 10-20 mins but will come out as they are prepared. Cute spot for cute moments! Double shot Espresso Hummus Naan - Grilled na'an topped with hummus, herbs, lemon, EVOO, tomatoes & basil. Our favorite!!!! B.E.C.KY - Bacon, egg, and cheese on toasted ciabata. Delicious. Chocolate Croissant - Not our favorite bc the chocolate was just a sauce from a bottle. Some Like it Spicy - Avocado, roasted corn, cotija cheese, chili pepper, mexican cream - Inspired by Frida Kahlo. Also a favorite!!! Presentation was gorgeous and also top notch delicious!

Yelp
Atmosphere was very cute and eclectic. The staff was very friendly and attentive however it's very busy here so food does take time to get out of the kitchen. Not much in terms of space, either, with how popular this place is. Because it was so busy it did take the food a while to get to us. When it did the bread was stale which made it difficult to eat. In terms of flavor it was good. Portion sizes were also very generous. The coffee came out quick. I ordered the blue eyes latte (blueberry coffee) and it had a lot of blueberry flavoring in it, which was a bit overwhelming. I did finish it though because I am a fan of blueberries. The cinnamon mocha latte was delicious! Overall an okay experience. Would like to visit again (at a less busy time)! There's definitely potential here.

Yelp
I had a chai tea and the eggs with avocado and mozzarella cheese . They have outdoor seating for my puppy which was nice
