What a great experience. The rooms are great. The vibe is modern. Breakfast is amazing! There was a little mishap with a short circuit in our room but the staff was attentive and resolved what was in their control. It’s truly appreciated when the guests needs are put first. Thank you to the team! Keep up the great customer service! PS. 4 stars on location because it’s not in the city center and you will most likely need to taxi to get to most locations but it was Not an issue for us. I felt super safe!

Fantastic hotel! Great view from our room and the rooftop bar. Hot tub and outside shower on a huge private balcony was fantastic.Full size spirit bottles in the room was an unusual and unexpected touch. Excellent service, lovely staff. Clean modern rooms with loads of funky little touches. Fantastic breakfast, literally everything you could desire was available. Not the cheapest place to stay, but it did feel special. Located in the quiet safe area, it used to be the Canadian Embassy. Great end to our first visit to Athens.

I recently stayed at The Modernist Athens and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel’s minimalist design, inspired by mid-century modernism, creates a sleek and sophisticated atmosphere. My room was well-appointed, featuring a comfortable bed, a black-marble-and-bronze writing desk, and a Marshall speaker that added a touch of luxury. The location in Kolonaki is ideal, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooftop bar offers stunning views of the city, making it a perfect spot to unwind. I highly recommend The Modernist Athens for anyone seeking a blend of modern luxury and Greek hospitality.

Rooftop views of the acropolis are phenomenal. Head up there after dark and call down on the phone for a drink. Super chill neighborhood, but walkable to the busier center and tourist attractions. The staff is amazing. Ian, in particular, was super friendly and helpful. After a full day of sightseeing and walking miles, we just wanted something local and easy. He called to make us a reservation at a local tavern that was busy, but had a 2-top waiting for us in a full dining room when we arrived 10 minutes later.

Really like this boutique hotel. Breakfast is great, and so is the late afternoon complimentary wine tasting! Its location is very convenient to the beautful Kolonaki neighborhood. Right near the metro too. Walkable go Syntagma Square. And all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

An incredible experience. The rooms are excellent, featuring an aesthetic yet warm design that's highly functional. Two aspects stand out as truly exceptional: the staff and the breakfast. The staff sets an otherworldly standard of hospitality. You feel incredibly well cared for, and there's an authentic sense that everyone is genuinely invested in your comfort and satisfaction. From the smallest details to the most significant aspects of your stay, you're treated with exceptional consideration. As for the breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised by how elaborate and abundant it was, especially for a boutique hotel. In my opinion, it sets the bar for all other hotels - I'd give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Last but not least, the hotel is ideally situated. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the city center (which I wouldn't recommend staying in), yet still close to the main attractions. The Kolonaki district where it's located is an exclusive and friendly neighborhood. Overall, this hotel is a reference point for excellence in hospitality. It truly goes above and beyond expectations.

Modernist is probably not quite the right term for this hotel. At least when you think of sockets or even USB ports in the room. Sockets are sparsely available and not next to the bed, but USB ports cannot be found at all. Also the antiquated light switches, which you have to turn randomly to find out where a light goes on or off, do not suggest anything modern. At least not in the 21st century. But I have complained enough about that, now for the positive things. It is a few minutes' walk from the Evangelismos metro station and the staff was very polite during my stay. I booked a spacious room, which was generally nicely designed and I liked it, but the above mentioned points bothered me. It was quite soundproof and the bed was comfortable and so I was able to rest well during the night. I also really enjoyed the fruit tea provided in the room. But my highlight was the excellent breakfast in their restaurant, which consisted of a buffet and a small a la carte menu. There was a generous selection of fresh and delicious products, which I really liked. All in all I enjoyed my short stay for one night in this hotel.

Staff were very friendly. Our room was upgraded which was very much appreciated. The room was clean and very thought out. Bathroom was great with thoughtful amenities. The roof top was amazing at night. Quiet with a beautiful view of the Acropolis. The location was convenient to nice restaurants and shops.
