The Monarch Cocktail Bar

I had planned to try one of their incentive cocktails but got a caipirinha instead, lightly sweetened. It was delicious. The owner was really nice too.

Highly recommend! Expert cocktails, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate bartender. Warm welcome when we stumbled in from the rain. We each tried a different cocktail and every one was a banger. This place should have been packed but I’m glad it wasn’t! Hidden gem!

Absolute banger of a menu. The bartenders know exactly what they're doing to create well balanced, interesting and delicious serves full of personality. The Saudade with the risotto wash is excellent (trust me it works), and so does their take on a banana daquiri / Manhattan cross. Had four drinks, and each one was as good as those I've had in Top 50 bars across the world. Highly, highly recommended.

Amazing Experience! The guys make you feel at home as soon as you step inside - super friendly! Not only their signature cocktails are superb but if you want to adventure outside the menu, the guys really deliver fantastic cocktails tailored to your taste. Really cool vibe and great service. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and was delicious! will come back for sure!

A classy little cocktail bar that is tucked away just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the Time Out Market and all the bars and restaurants in Cais do Sodre. We came here on a recommendation from another Lisbon bartender, and it was a pleasant experience. Despite being a sophisticated looking place, it has a casual, relaxed feeling that invites you in. There's no pretentiousness here. The day we tried, they were out of some of the menu due to a really busy night before, and I understand that happens at these small, independent bars that make their own infusions and batches. It was okay, because they have a decent backbar and were able to get all the classics we asked for. The cocktails we tried from the menu were good and solid, but didn't exactly wow. But they're definitely better than a lot of cocktail bars I've been to in Europe. Simple and classy, but with a flavour complexity that is still interesting. You'll find creations here that are very unique. All were made well, and service was good. Definitely a strong choice for a place to come for a nice drink and chat with friends. If you want to avoid the packed, loud, stuffy bars in town and have a creative drink or classic cocktail made exactly how you like it, I'd recommend this spot.

We loved this spot. The magician making our drinks was so lovely, and the lady serving us was really helpful and chatty. Major bonus points for creating such thoughtful non alco options for my boyfriend, it made our night!
