The Monkey Bar Prague

We started with two cocktails that were perfect! Jarda the waiter explained a little about each of them and their making process, very interesting. Then we had the shrimp borito, the ceasar salad and the tuna on fried rice. They were all great.

I visited Monkey Bar last Saturday night with two friends for dinner and had a mixed experience. The atmosphere inside is very nice and the place looks interesting. I had reserved a table for three and everything seemed promising at the start. Before ordering, I told the waiter that I wanted to try a specific tequila (Teremana Añejo), and he said it was no problem. My friends ordered two non-alcoholic drinks. However, the waiter didn’t take any notes, and as a result one of my friends received his drink with tequila inside, even though he had explicitly ordered a non-alcoholic one. Later, when we checked the bill, we also noticed that I had been served a different tequila (Teremana Blanco) instead of the one I had asked for several times. The food was good, but given the reputation of the place we were expecting something a bit more impressive. Overall it felt like there was more focus on appearance than on actual attention to detail. Potential to be a great experience, but the service mistakes left us disappointed.

Very cozy and welcoming bar. I especially loved their drink menu, which focuses on highlighting key flavors and what you can expect from the drink, rather than meticulous ingredient lists or long histories. Jaroslav was a great waiter. He explained the drinks clearly and listened to what we were looking for. He even adjusted my first drink to really meet my expectations, and delivered it with excellence.

This is a beautiful bar with amazing cocktails. The staff is unfortunately not as friendly as expected. The cocktails are really yummy. Prices are on the higher side but it’s a really beautiful ambiance and since it’s right at the hotel we are staying at it’s very convenient

Excellent experience, all the staff were super attentive. Jaroslav particularly delivered on the service, cocktails are served along with an explanation about flavours and the creation. The tapas is superb with creative tastes and a really clever menu. Thanks very much Jaroslav.

Highly recommended for a relaxed evening with great drinks, delicious food, and excellent service. If you're looking for a place with top cocktails, amazing cuisine and exceptional service, The Monkey Bar is a must-visit.

We came in for late night drinks with a group of friends and had the best time! Lovely atmosphere, very creative menu, delicious drinks, friendly staff. Our server, Ana, was super attentive, welcoming and knowledgeable - she walked us through the whole menu and made perfect recommendations. Great experience all around!

Monkey Bar was a fantastic surprise and easily one of the highlights of our time in Prague. Tucked next to the Falkensteiner Hotel Prague, it’s the kind of place you might walk past without realizing how special it is—don’t make that mistake. We started with the langostino ravioli, and delicious is honestly an understatement. The flavors were rich, balanced, and memorable. The duck soufflé followed, and it was just as impressive—perfectly executed and full of depth. Even the drinks stood out: I ordered a yuzu and fig leaf mocktail, and wow—creative, refreshing, and beautifully crafted. A small but telling detail made the experience even better: the staff brought extra bread so I could finish every last bit of the ravioli sauce—no judgment, just thoughtful hospitality 😉. The attendant was gracious, attentive, and mindful of our waiting time throughout the evening. No disappointment at all—just great food, excellent service, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Truly a hidden gem and highly recommended.
