I had a truly magical experience at the Monsaraz Hotel during our wedding weekend. Amanda in Hospitality is so great at what she does and helped me plan a special brunch event in one of many “photo worthy” spots at the hotel. Adriana is so sweet too. Every single employee I encountered was pleasant and helpful! Monsaraz has a “boutique” hotel vibe which makes you feel seen and special as a guest. The design is stunning, clean rooms, spacious shower, comfy bed, friendly employees… I am a very happy customer! Thank you Amanda & Team for making our wedding weekend extra special.

Nice stay, but some things to improve. The property is modern, clean, and overall very nice. The manager is especially friendly and does her best to keep guests happy. On our first morning, I was excited for coffee — and the coffee itself was actually very good. Unfortunately, it was served in paper cups with milk in plastic cups, no spoons (just tiny wooden sticks), which completely ruined the experience. The next day, after I mentioned it to the manager, we were given real mugs — but ironically, the coffee that day wasn’t nearly as good, so I didn’t drink it. Thankfully, there’s a wonderful café across the street with excellent cappuccinos. The rooms were clean and pretty, but the bathroom doors were sliding and opened on both sides — offering no privacy and no sound blocking. The AC made bubbling noises, and airplane noise was constant and loud. Another downside: the hotel bar doesn’t open until 5pm, so if you want a drink earlier in the day, you’re out of luck. Parking is valet-only at $35 per day, and there are no other options besides trying your luck with street parking. Overall, we had a decent stay thanks to the cleanliness and the manager’s efforts, but between the coffee setup, the noise, the lack of bathroom privacy, the late bar opening, and the expensive parking, I wouldn’t choose to return.

This hotel is one of the best hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at. The rooms are nice and spacious, ours had a balcony but some do not. The pool is decently sized and warm. The location is very nice with views of the bay and a consistent beautiful breeze throughout the day. The neighborhood is very residential and has a few things to do so make sure to rent a car. Parking is valet only, competitively priced. The bar tenders are super friendly and the drinks are good. The food could use some work but not the worst. Special shout out to Melissa and Vincent at the front desk for taking care of us as well as the manager Maria for making sure our stay was great. We had a minor issue with the AC in the room but Maria made sure it was promptly fixed and handled. Thank you again for the amazing stay

I recently stayed in a room that opened to a lovely patio and courtyard garden—truly a beautiful view that added so much charm to the space. The room itself had great potential and could’ve easily been a five-star stay. However, I did notice some staining on the white privacy curtains and heavy stains on the carpet, which seemed especially worn and could use a deep clean. I understand this may be due to the room being on the ground level with frequent outdoor courtyard access, likely leading to more foot traffic. The linens and general cleanliness of the room were otherwise well-maintained, which I appreciated. Breakfast was definitely a highlight with a well-rounded menu. Lunch and dinner offerings felt more limited in comparison, and as someone in the hospitality industry, I found the cocktail menu and the drink I ordered a bit disappointing in flavor and balance. A heads-up for future guests: if you're checking in on a Sunday, the main lounge and courtyard areas can be quite lively, with a party-like atmosphere that can carry into the late evening. After a six-hour flight and attending a conference, I found it difficult to settle in and get rest the first night due to the noise and people on my patio til 11-ish. I mentioned to front desk but never got a response from management before I left. That said, the staff truly made the experience better. Service across the board was warm, professional, and attentive, which didn’t go unnoticed.

Google
This hotel is amazing! Everyone you encounter is very friendly and welcoming. The staff at the front desk, the bartenders/servers, to the valets. The hotel is in a great area with food, coffee shops, and a block away from the marina. It is 10 minutes from the airport and 15 from downtown. Definitely a great place to stay. I will be staying here again!

Google
We had a great stay at The Monsaraz. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and prompt in accommodating our needs. The location was awesome for my morning runs...beautiful hilly neighborhoods with a stunning view and nice flat trails along the water. The valet service was also excellent- efficient, courteous, and top notch hospitality. Thanks Jonathan and Manny! We would definitely stay here again.

Google
In SanDiego for business. What a treat to stay here. The rooms are very clean, updated and modern. The decor all over the entire hotel is very cool. Restaurant, bar and outdoor seating and lounge. Valet parking was great. The front desk was very friendly and gave great dinner suggestions. Convenient to the airport as well.

Google
The people make this hotel a destination. Melissa and Melissa at the bar are so attentive and friendly absolutely a joy to meet. Even our valet Manny was personable and a great resource throughout our stay. The people here obviously enjoy what they do they create an inviting and amazing space. Melissa and Melissa made fantastic drinks had stellar recommendations and made the stay feel like old friends.

Yelp
Great, roomy, clean rooms with huge showers and balconies! A drawer refrigerator for left overs! Bathrooms were clean, the sliding wood panel doors were not pleasant when sharing a room lol. But we made do. Cable tv but it worked to scroll ha. Super friendly staff. Valet parking only, under ground garage takes only a few mins to get and they have a text service. Bar was great and the courtyard for socializing w friends. Wish they had a pool ha. However walking distance to the marina, yacht club, fishing, whale watching and other boat rides, paddle boats, and a beach.

Yelp
New and updated; however, the rooms aren't quiet if you're facing the front. I asked for a quiet room in the back. They didn't have one. I was on the side on the highest floor, and I could hear the traffic in the morning. It's fine if you have to wake up and leave early, which is what I had to do most days. Not so great if you want to sleep in, which is what I wanted to do on my first and last day there. I liked their breakfast bowl with papaya in it. There's a Better Buzzed coffee shop kitty corner from the hotel with amazing matcha tea and avocado toast!

Yelp
I've been a diamond Hilton member and have stayed at many Hilton properties from elite to bare bones. I picked this hotel for the location as my family had to fly down last minute to attend a funeral nearby. After I booked I read the reviews here and was a little nervous. I'm familiar with the area so I knew it was near the airport and part of the hotel is faced onto a fairly busy street. I was worried about possible over abundance of noise as I'm sensitive during sleep. With the exception of some street traffic noise, which was reasonable and died down by late evening sleeping hours, I heard no plane traffic, no ajoining room noise and the a/c which we used all night was very quiet. For reference I was in room 201- only one ajoining neighbor. It does face the busy street. I found the hotel cute and stylish and also the room. It was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfy, on the softer side, and I loved the fluffy pillows. I slept through the night. We had 4 adults in the room and we found there to be enough room for us all with our stuff. Friendly front desk and valet. The small amount of food on site we tried was good. (We really enjoyed the coffee shop across the street.) My only 2 cons would be what I feel is a ridiculous valet parking charge. We couldn't find street parking when we arrived late the first night so we had to succumb. No self parking. Second, the bathroom doors are sliding shutters. Although stylish, not the best for total privacy when using the restroom. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We had an amazing 2-night stay here and are so glad we booked this place! Pros: -Andy, the valet attendant, was welcoming, friendly, and nice. The front desk ladies were also nice! -beautiful room, interior/decor/furniture -our room was cool temperature-wise -room service was quick -late check out 12pm allowed -wonderful location, walkable to The Marina and Better Buzz Coffee Cons: -the sewage smell when you turn on the bathroom sink -AC sound overnight in the room similar to an airplane sound Way more pros than cons. I highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
Neat little hotel. Hilton diamond member. Walkable to marina and restaurants. Close to so much. Comfortable bed. Quiet room. Adequate shower. Towels are small and not the best. Workspace in room is adequate. Enjoy the room balcony and fresh air. Love the third floor space overlooking water and boats. Food was good in the outlet. Friendly staff. Parking must valet everyday. Street parking hard to find. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Bad Part -not sound proof, woke up to a kid crying loud and the kid would not stop. -loud plane activity, sounds like an earthquake. -no microwave not even in the lobby area to warm up food. -room service was slow, had to call multiple times for things and they do not offer complimentary water bottles like they do in major Hilton hotels. -got the balcony room and the furniture was broken. Useable but broken. -no late check out. "They had too many" -also 5 mins past 11am someone was knocking at our door to leave...wow. Good parts -room and bathroom clean and updated. -found street parking to avoid paying for parking. -overall cozy bed and pillows. -balcony overlooking the marina. -nice Marina area you can walk around.

Yelp
Booked a one night staycation here February 2024. Hotel was very moderately priced, just far from the downtown area. Parking is valet only and they charge you a high rate for overnight parking. I believe it was $26 for us at the time. Hotel is small but cute. Lobby is really small and they have an on site restaurant/bar called The Westerly. Check-in was easy. We got our room on the second floor. The room was decent sized. Bathroom was cute with colorful wallpaper and the shower was nice too. We just didn't like the sliding door. It didn't close all the way and you can see through the gap. As for the room, the beds were fine. The AC was terrible. It had an outdated AC unit attached to the window and would only keep the room to a cool 70 degrees. We were sweating in our room in the evening because the heat was trapped in the room and our window couldn't open all the way. Below us was the street and you could really hear the cars drive by. The entire property is decent. They have a nice outdoor area you can access through The Westerly. Our pug really enjoyed strolling out there. Outside of the hotel is a quick 5 minute walk to the marina where there are some other food options. It's a very quiet area, but a nice little getaway. We also like that its within walking distance to Better Buzz coffee too. Honestly a very decent hotel considering how much cheaper it is in comparison to other SD hotels. We enjoy how pet friendly it is and that its overall very quiet. Just wish it didn't cost so much to park here.

Yelp
Everyone knows L.A is like an outdoor insane Asylum, so every now and again I like to venture out of the area for some R&R. I was headed for a full day at Sea World, and a quick search of hotels in the area led me Monsaraz S.D. The short: great location, good quality room, reasonable price. The only negative is there is no self parking. Unless you want to try your luck with street parking, you are on the hook for $37 a night valet( in& out privileges). The staff were very helpful, cheerful, and polite. . There's a fitness center and lobby bar. The restaurant in the lounge is open for breakfast and dinner. The location is great so if you are not someone who likes to spend time at your hotel and just want to see the city then you will find it practical.

Yelp
Clean and nice. All facilities were open, bed and bathrooms were clean and modern. Small desk on third floor was great for morning coffee. Staff was nice and helpful. Bar needs help, poorly stocked, no cash register or way to buy drinks, seems like its slow so maybe just a small beer and wine bar would be better. No pool which is a bummer, but point loma is nice, not as expensive as downtown but good food in walking distance and again, amazing staff dron front desk to maintenance and cleaning. Kind and cool with a hip vibe and impeccably clean, and i travel a ton for business. A good place to stay and i was in for a wedding so kudos to everyone. I would advise visitors to use taxi services as opposed to ubers when in SD.

Yelp
Came back to this quaint little boutique hotel because we had great memories from our last stay. It is still great. We had the nice double queen room with a balcony and enjoyed the quietness and harbor view.

Yelp
- Friendly vibe for both the hotel and the bar/bistro. - clean - great location! Close to waterfront and lots of dining choices - feels safe even for women traveling alone

Yelp
I was in town for work and had honestly been scouting this location for an event. When our other hotel didn't quite work out, i moved over here thinking, it's a tapestry hotel, i'll be nice. It was...to an extent. others have mentioned parking so I won't go there. Instead, i'll mention a bit more abt the layout & room design and the guest experience. Overall, it's an updated mid-century meets millennial modern vibe - clean lines, pastels, you get the gist. I'd give the physical hotel a 3.5-4 stars. The rooms themselves are nice, but sparse. I don't get the slat/farm door style doors that don't close all the way - there's no lock to hold them closed. The shower had a glass wall with a privacy screen that seemed like an afterthought. I believe my first words were "this is looks like a stripper frosted window - you can tell the architect was a man because few women actually want this feature". Can't imagine having kids in that room randomly raising the shade. The shower was nice, i liked that they don't have a rain shower (my biggest pet peeve). On guest service...my husband checked in before me & the staff didn't event acknowledge our hilton benefits to him. No upgrades, no welcome waters, not even a mention of the daily food credit. The parking wasn't super clear whether you could park on the street and not be towed.

Yelp
Booked but had to make some changes shortly after. We called in hoping for the best, and luckily for us we got Sandra who helped us out. We explained our situation and she was quick to reassure us that she would do everything she could on her end. She was quick and efficient in solving our dilemma and we were ready to check in a few days later. We were glad we got to meet her in person too, she was friendly and welcoming. All staff we encountered was polite. Room was clean and neat. Shower had good water pressure. Only small issue is the bathroom door doesn't close all the way because of the style so that could be a little odd but overall the place is great and we will def return.

Yelp
Booked this hotel 6 weeks in advance chose a king bed 2 days before arrival through the app. Arrived at the hotel after our late flight and it was a different room number than we chose but figured there was some mix up and went to room on 3rd floor. it had 2 beds so back to front desk we went they said they were sold out and that was only available room? we went back to room and realized the ac was broken it was 80 degrees in the room. back to front desk they said nothing they can do ? we tried to sleep with the window open but still so hot asked for a fan ...none available! Worst experience in a Hilton property will not recommend or return! the list of cons for this property is long.

Yelp
Food was 10/10 , consumer service was great and the rooms were clean and smelled great, good job guys!

Yelp
Extremely Disappointed -- Not What You'd Expect from a Hilton Property We stayed here for two nights and unfortunately had a very poor experience. The only positive was the valet attendant, Andy, who was courteous, friendly, and efficient. Beyond that, this stay was a major disappointment. From the moment we arrived, our room was hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable. We immediately notified the front desk, asking for either a repair to the AC or a room change while we were out for the evening. Despite assurances that the issue would be addressed, nothing was done. I received a text message that evening from the front desk asking how our stay was going. I responded that the AC was still not working and the room was uncomfortably warm. The reply was, "I'm so sorry about that. I'll let our engineer know." That was the last I heard -- no follow-up, no fix. We chose this hotel because it was close to our event venue and pet-friendly. Unfortunately, our dog was just as miserable in the heat as we were. After another conversation with the front desk later that day, we returned again to the same hot room. Still no resolution. We had to sleep both nights with a loud fan blowing. The next day, I received another text checking in on our stay. I again reported the unresolved AC issue. The reply: "So sorry about the AC. I'll definitely speak to the manager to see what we can do for the inconvenience." Again -- no response from management, no action taken. Throughout our stay, we never once heard from a manager despite multiple requests. After our stay, I contacted the hotel directly and was told -- again -- that no manager was available. I then called Hilton's customer service line. Ironically, I had just received an automated email thanking me for my stay and hoping I had enjoyed it. At this point, I can only hope Hilton Corporate will follow up and take this matter seriously. A lack of air conditioning for the entire stay, zero accountability, and no communication from management is unacceptable at any hotel -- let alone one under the Hilton name.

Yelp
Decent hotel, but wasn't worth the price in my opinion. It did smell nice upon entering and the bar tender was cool.

Nicole D.

Yelp
Not impressed whatsoever. First off my brother booked this hotel for his wedding 6 months ago and they overbooked his room with another wedding party. Secondly I booked this hotel and the first thing we noticed in our room was how hot it was. I called the front desk and they mentioned that maintenance needed to turn on the AC unit? We came back to the room a few hours later and nothing changed. It was 80° in our room, I called the front desk again and they said the only offer they could do was change rooms.. I stay at hotels 75 nights out of the year and I've always been a Marriot person, I decided to try out a Hilton and this experience is the reason why I hate Hilton . Very Crappy customer service and no sympathy. Not worth of your money people... To give other context: the rooom and aesthetic is nice, nothing crazy but it's modern. So theyve got that going for them.
google avatar

Richard N.

Yelp
This fresh one year old hotel is a modern dream. So close to the Sportsman's Marina and Waterfront Restaurants like Mitch's Restaurant I would highly suggest for lunch! It has such a nice new feel! The King Bedrooms all face a inner court that looks fun but we didn't utilize its outdoor comfy seating. Oh and since it's a Hilton Property it's Pet Friendly! You'll dig the pull out drawer refrigerator, the modern bathrooms, wood room entry accents that's got a mod hipster style! I think you'll really like it!
google avatar

Brandon L.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay here! The decor and ambiance were excellent. The room was very clean, and I appreciated the nice patio area and balcony. The valet service was friendly and quick, and I loved the text-to-order car service. The rooms were surprisingly affordable compared to other Hiltons in the area, given their quality. This is a great weekend getaway spot--I'll be back!

Yelp
This was a great place to stay for my 5-day girls' trip from Las Vegas. We were looking for a cute hotel in a convenient location to get to the beaches, as well as have quick access to Downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp District. It was also walkable to many different restaurants and businesses in the area. Valet service was consistent, and we never waited long for anything we needed during our entire stay. The hotel also felt very clean and new. When three women have all of their belongings in one hotel room together, having a clean space to put your stuff is essential. I really appreciated the tiled entry into the room because it separated the area from the rest of the room and allowed it to be set up as the "get-ready" portion of the room in front of the mirror near the restroom. I liked how someone reached out to me via text before and during our stay to make sure we were constantly taken care of and had what we needed. Since it was three of us, having extra towels stocked in the room ahead of time was really convenient. We also wanted our room cleaned early one morning while we were using the gym for about an hour, and they were in and out of there, so it was all tidied up for us by the time we were done working out. Much appreciated! The treadmill in the gym wasn't working, but we were just fine with the other equipment available. The barn doors for the bathroom are stylish but not practical when it comes to privacy. I wish the in-room coffee kit was higher-end. It was much better to just go downstairs and order a cappuccino to bring back up to the room than to have the horrible-tasting coffee I could make in the room. Overall, we had a lovely stay, and I would recommend The Monsaraz San Diego to others looking to enjoy the many sides of San Diego on their trip.

Bob R.

Yelp
Just about everything went well at The Monsaraz, from the moment the bellman checked our bags and Andrianne checked us in, through the stay and housekeeping service, until our departure, when the bellman helped us on our way. We had excellent service in the restaurant from Charon, Laina, and Dion, who all helped us with recommendations from the limited menu. The hotel is very nicely decorated , and well-maintained -- very clean. Only valet parking is available on site, and that cost $37 per night, but this is all clarity stated when you make the reservation, so no surprise; I think it includes in and out privileges. There is also sometimes parking available on the street.
google avatar

Veronica H.

Yelp
The people are nice but, you come across a problem they forget about you. We have two rooms and both rooms room temperature was 80 degrees and the hall way is comfortable maybe 70 degrees. When I called the front desk I was told they will swap us rooms and waiting to be called back and no one had. I had to call back and the person who answered didn't know anything. Very bad customer experience... they finally swapped us rooms. Would not stay here again.
google avatar

Ginger D.

Yelp
The check in for this hotel is totally ridiculous. The front desk is tiny and only one person was working. I was suppose to stay for 4 nights for my birthday trip. (I only stayed one night). The front desk woman, Maggie made it almost impossible to check in, after over an hour I was finally given my room key. The room was nice, I had a courtyard view. The hotel gym was alright, not big. One place to eat in the hotel- not enough people working there. After the horrible issues of checking in I only stayed one night. Very disappointing experience. A nice property, not nice people. I expected so much more especially from the Hilton tapestry collection!
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
I hosted my 40th Birthday party here at The Monsaraz and I had the best event that I could imagine! The detail and customer service that Cesar, Adrian and Jose provided was beyond expectation. The venue was beautiful, the price was amazing and the flexibility to what I wanted could not be matched to anything else. The rooms were amazing, clean, smelled great and very modern. I can't express the amount of fun my guests had at this hotel with the array of compliments I received. I hope to soon possibly host another event in the future! Definitely a gem in San Diego!
google avatar

Reed B.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVED our stay at The Monsaraz and can't wait to come back some day. The room design is a bit "funky" but it is comfortable and I loved having a courtyard room. It was such a unique boutique hotel type feel with the reliability of being a Hilton flagged property. Service was great from top to bottom, the area around the hotel felt very safe even though it was a bit of a drive to get to the "tourist" part of San Diego. It's a bit pricey but it does feel like you get what you pay for!
google avatar

Ari R.

Yelp
Wow. I am so impressed with The Monsaraz. Check in was a breeze. I didn't even have to give my credit card. The design of the place is amazing. They used the best materials... cool woods, colorful tiles. Super tasteful... unlike most SD hotels. The rooms are great... about 300 square feet. Not huge but you can definitely stretch out and I felt really comfortable. They give Gold status a really nice daily credit for the restaurant. Had a great meal and they have stupendous cold brew! I parked on the street because parking is pricey. It was tough to find a space but it's doable. Next time I might splurge on parking. Whoever has given this place low stars must not have eyes or experienced some kind of charge that was clearly explained to them. So stay without hesitation! This place is a gem!

Terry W.

Yelp
This place is a ripoff. I called and asked if they had rollaway beds and was told yes. So I booked a room for 3 adult males. At checkin was told in fact they didn't have any. She was able to see I had asked for the extra bad. I wouldn't have bothered to stay here if I wasn't told we could have 3 beds. Their solution was to charge me for 3 people in 1 room and then charge me for the other room as a single. Great now I'm paying for 4 people. I will not return and will stop staying at any Hilton hotels.
google avatar

Mayra S.

Yelp
Clean and updated. Bed was comfy and bedding was in amazing condition. We stayed 2 nights and i have zero complaints. Location was perfect for us as my sister lives in Ocean Beach. Staff was great as well.
google avatar

Erika H.

Yelp
Don't have anything amazing to say about this place, nor do I have anything good to say: for what you're paying, I would expect a little more? But maybe that's just me. First off be prepared for $37 valet (why are hotels so experience with parking nowadays?!) Secondly, check in was easy, front desk was very friendly. But as soon as we got to our room, we weren't even sure if there was people already in the room because there were dirty wine glasses right outside our door. We cautiously opened the door and we're surprised to find a clean & empty room! Thank goodness. The view we had was facing the street and harbor. Overall this place is what we expected in the room but the hallways smelled so musty. I can't even describe the smell the hotel had but it was BAD. For what this hotels costs, you'd expect a little more. Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience as a whole.

Yelp
Very beautiful boutique hotel located near the San Diego airport. With many shops, restaurants, and the water in walking distance -- this Hilton property is a good choice for a quick getaway. The boyfriend booked this hotel for a quick trip into San Diego. I didn't know what to expect but was not disappointed during our stay. P R O P E R T Y Clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed to meet the modern and yet boutique theme. Beautiful back patio (must walk through the on-site bar and restaurant to see it) and plenty of seating for those who want to hang outside and get some laptop time in. C H E C K I N G I N Front desk staff was fine. We stayed at this property for three nights and had no complaints. Upon arrival -- just provide your credit card and ID, and you'll be well on your way. Tip: they will ask you if you want the valet service. To avoid the daily fee (which I think is about $40 a day), just opt out because there is street parking. We had no issues finding parking and we were out and about every day we were in town. R O O M My boyfriend booked us a standard room with a King size bed. The room itself isn't big but it's comfortable enough for two people. The bathroom is cute as the shower is set up to be spa-like. Very spacious. Bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. No patio balcony inside the room. We didn't get a chance to watch TV but we did turn it on for a few minutes each day just to check out what was on. There is a small coffee station which we did not use and there's a bottled water that will cost you a whopping $8 if you drink it so buy your own at the store directly across the street from the hotel. Definitely not a bad choice for a quick stay.

Yelp
Nice hotel close to Point Loma and Shelter Island. Beds are soft, plush, and very comfortable. Night staff is friendly and watchful. Fridays there is live music and sometimes dancing. Cool furnishings and the room bathrooms are nice. Had a better here than the night before at the Hilton.

Yelp
I was searching for a boutique hotel for a weekend getaway with the husband and came across The Monsaraz. Surprised that a holiday (Valentine's Weekend) was so reasonable, we booked it and started to plan our trip to SD. Upon arriving, there's either limited street parking or valet (not sure how much for valet), but we got lucky and found street parking every time we came back to the hotel. Walking into the hotel, it's so beautifully new, mid century modern furniture, and looks clean. We checked in and got to our room. The room was spacious, with beautiful tiles throughout the bathroom and entry way. So far, everything looked clean and comfortable. Our view was of the side street looking at the Ramada, so not great, but not terrible. When I went to shower, I noticed the restroom was not clean. There was still toothpaste stain from the previous guest, the tissue paper looked like it was used, the shower had visible hair from previous guests and the shower door would not open. It felt like it was coming off the hinge and stuck to the tile. The entire stay, I showered with the shower door half open because I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get it open. I think overall this could be a great space for couples, girls weekend, business trip stay, however I'd just be cautious and call if it was not cleaned properly.

Yelp
Upside - cute tiles that but they carried noise room to room. A cute outdoor seating area but no airflow. From the indifferent front person to the pre-stay call with the same person this was a lousy experience. No Diamond special treatment. A loud and inconvenient hotel with the forced Valet parking. A non-draining shower that you had to stop and wait for to proceed. Two times we had to call about issues and the front desk person made it confrontational. After the third call I asked for a manager to contact me and got no response. The location is only good for airline personnel or people leaving early for a fishing trip from Shelter Island. This hotel had no earmarks of the Hilton brand and should be considered an embarrassment to the brand. We took a chance on a different part of the city from where we usually stay downtown - big mistake.

Yelp
Booked a king bed room with patio for after our WEDDING! We arrived and they gave us a room with two full beds. Apparently they "gave away" our room. Very unfortunate. Especially on such a big day for us! The people working the front desk didn't care at all that they'd made a mistake and said there is nothing they can do. Do not recommend!

Yelp
Delvakio Brown! Just walking into the hotel he had such a great welcoming smile. He is definitely a good representation of the Hilton brand and definitely the definition of good customer service! Something that is very rare these days. I actually booked the hotel next door which was trash and had to make a quick decision there we have it. Note: The bed was very comfortable and the overall room very pleasant and inviting. Outside of no microwave and no pool. The ambience is very nice so I definitely recommend

Yelp
The rest of the experience was ok but here's the thing that's unacceptable. First night I check in it's a normal check in except they ask for $250 deposit. Never had that before. Is this a thing? Anyway my point is it was just give me your name and phone number and credit card and here's your keys. Blah blah usual stuff. Second night we had to come in very late. After 2:30am. After 6 hours of driving. I'm obviously not brain fully functioning. I ask about valet. The person says "I'm the valet but it's full." That's all. Nothing helpful like they do own the lot behind the building but don't guarantee safety. Well, that would've been nice. Instead I had to park a few blocks away where it's totally obvious there's no guarantee of safety. And then they text with me after the fact "we'll pass your experience on to management." Gee whiz thanks! Really? Unacceptable

Yelp
My dog and I recently stayed here for the weekend and had an excellent experience. I appreciate that they're pet-friendly for a one-time fee, which was a big selling point. The front desk staff and valet warmly welcomed us from the start. They were so kind to my dog and answered my questions about my reservation & the neighborhood itself. Our first-floor room faced Garrison St and was super comfortable; any sounds from both the interior corridor and the street were muffled. I got the best sleep I've had in a while. The hotel design and interiors are tastefully modern. I thought the common areas felt fresh and vibrant, and I really liked the tilework in my room :) Like many have mentioned, their parking is expensive. If $37/night valet isn't your thing, there's surprisingly plenty of street parking in the residential neighborhood west of Rosecrans, and the Fisherman's Landing lot off of Scott & Garrison is $12 for 24 hours. Plenty of good food, bars, and amenities within walking distance, so I found my whole stay extremely convenient.

Yelp
Tough review to do. Hotel choices in Point Loma are really limited. Due to a leak in our house, we needed to find a hotel quickly and thought we'd try this fairly new addition to the neighborhood. Front desk was friendly, Westerly Restarant was good, but we were given a room right outside the elevator and facing Rosecrans right above the front door. Noisiest place I've ever stayed. We should have asked for another room, but we had unpacked, left to eat dinner, and used the bathroom before we realized the situation. We were on our phone nonstop, Dealing with plumbers and SDG&E and we were super distracted. I assume there are quieter rooms in the hotel. I'm not sure why they would put a middle-aged couple who clearly weren't there for the nightlife on a Friday night in the room they did. Maybe it's all they had. I'm not sure I'll give this place another try.

Yelp
Awesome stay clean and friendly staff walking distance to several great dining options and a six minute ride share to airport.

Yelp
Reopened a few months ago and and part of thr Tapestry and Hilton brand. Very modern, clean and great hotel in the Point Loma area of San Diego and really close to the airport. It reminds me of a seaside/beachside hotel in Europe with lots of mosaic art and patterns spread throughout the hotel. Excellent customer service and conveniently located close to the water and boats. Better buzz coffee, a liquor store, and Winchell's donuts is a few steps away. There is also a restaurant downstairs that serves Dark Horse coffee in the morning and beer/wine/alcoholic drinks during the day. I like to take my drinks up to the patio facing the water on the 3rd floor to relax. Valet Parking or street parking. I loved this hotel and definitely will stay here again the next time I'm in San Diego!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, lacking the convenience of a larger property. Valet is required, street parking is minimal (like 20 cars max, and very hard to come by). However Valet is slammed and not 24/7. Coffee bar is not consistently open in the morning, the lobby offers refrigerated drinks for sale only, so if you're not making coffee on your room, prepare to purchase at a local coffee spot. Mind you, better buzz is across the street (with a looooong line) but recommend heading to Bird Rock by Trader Joe's as there's less of a wait. What else? The hotel has trivia night and a cute as hell restaurant and patio. And it's a stones throw (50 yard walk) from the marina if you're going fishing. I would visit again, but temper the expectations of convenience is a top priority. Oh, and no pool.

Yelp
Stayed here in October because a friend was having a wedding in downtown San Diego. We usually stay in Del Mar but thought let's stay somewhere new. This was a mistake on our part. The parking situation is the worst. We stayed 4 nights and found street parking ok our last night there. Had to fork over the valet fee the first night until we found the marina parking down the way which saved us a ton. If your driving Def check this lot out it was safe and we had no issues. This definitely is a party hotel. We heard people up and down the halls all night. We were traveling with out 10 month old who is a deep sleeper and even she kept getting woken up. Best part of this hotel was their shower! I'm not someone who tries hotel shampoo and conditioner but they had this brand there "Nest" in blood orange. Wanted to try it but the bottles were empty and when we asked to have then filled during a room clean it never got filled up. The breakfast was good but the wait for it was not worth it. Very slow kitchen on the 3 morning we ate here.

Yelp
Bad customer service. Just spoke with manager about a room that was cancelled day before (morning) reservation for a Sunday night. And she would not waive the full charge "cancellation fee". I communicated we had a change of plans and had to drive to a different city, and stayed at a Hilton Property. I admit, I did miss the midnight deadline the night before. But, I talked to corporate and they said talk to the property and they would be able to waive the fee. So, no support of a Hilton Honors Gold, Friends and Family customer. I will continue staying Hilton --- but never at the Monsaraz San Diego,

Yelp
If you're not looking to stay in your room, but visit the sites that San Diego has to offer, this chic little boutique style hotel is the perfect place to stay. After coming back from an outing in old town, or a swim beach, or even a night at the club, coming back to this serene Hotel is top notch. The hotel does not have a pool where you can lounge around, but you can certainly enjoy the cool evenings in the very nice atrium they have. There's also a small bar with good food and drinks will definitely come back.
