I came to this location for a birthday because I was told it’s the best place in Norman. Well I disagree! We waited over 45 minutes for a table didn’t specify inside or out, was sat at an extremely small table like the size for 2 people to have drinks. We had 4 people planning to eat plus appetizers and dessert. Was crammed. It’s extremely loud inside! Service was slow and seemed like we were an inconvenience to our server. The food is all pre packaged frozen with no seasonings. Cheese dip and salsa was great. I probably will not return I don’t see the hype. Prices do not reflect the food served.

The best restaurant i’ve ever been to in Oklahoma. The server was hilarious, food absolutely delicious, and outdoor atmosphere is full of beautiful foliage. If I could give 10 stars I would! I highly recommend the cheese curds and loaded cheese fries! Will 100% be back!

Awesome atmosphere, staff is friendly and the menu is priced really well. Exactly what we needed, this place has great energy.

Food always hits, plenty of drinks to choose from. Great place for lunch as well. Best chicken Ceasar salad I've had, nice portion too.

The Mont has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid! We sat on the beautiful patio and enjoyed a swirl and a LOT of delicious fried okra. However, I'm sad to say that the chicken friend steak is really bad 🫣 the patty was soggy and gelatinous.

Don't set in the blue room, you set on the floor. Food and drinks spilled from the night you set in. My daughter ordered loaded cheese fries. The server brought them out with a towel, handed them to my daughter and said good luck. Everyone at the table heard and was upset. The waitress who was great and really busy said thats just mason he's always that way. Manager wasn't surprised. Food was good if you don't mind trying to hold your plate or set in nasty carpet floor. Food was good, waitress good, management didn't care, and mason needs to go.

So our server was really awesome super attentive and nice. The location was well and the outside sitting area seemed awesome. The inside however, has a stack of booze that are crammed so tight and meant for very small people other than that the food was OK seems like just typical bar food in a college town, but the price wasn’t bad overall good experience.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. This place is unique inside and out. It was a nice day, and the patio had excellent shade, so I sat outside. My server was quick and friendly.I started out with the Ocean Water Cocktail, and like described, it tasted like a Sonic Ocean Water. I was craving a burger, but I switched gears and went with fish & chips. The fish and chips were good, but I would have preferred the more chips to be the bigger version, like real English chips or a steak fry, but nonetheless, they were still cooked well and had good flavor. The fish had a good flavorful batter. Good meal for $20.

always the best place to come. sooner swirl is an absolute MUST whenever you sit down in norman and the blue hawaiian is the best drink you could have. brown haired lauren is the BEST server i could ask for! she was very attentive to us and made sure our drinks stayed filled. she was a big reason tonight my group had so much fun. i love coming here, and lauren definitely made it an experience worth coming back for! thank you lauren! you're awesome!!

Aways a go-to for me. I've honestly never even sat inside because the patio is so incredible! The portions are huge, and in all the years l've been coming here, the staff has always been wonderful.

In all honesty, I go here for the absolutely best sangria swirl around! The food is good but not overly great. My club salad was good. My husband had the blue plate special with the chicken fried chicken. He enjoyed the meat portion the best. The service is always super friendly! As far as the atmosphere, I prefer going during nice days where you can sit on their wonderful patio. Inside is old fashioned but nostalgic.

Menu is not the same as it has been. Realize when you eat here you are paying for the experience- dine al fresco on their patio. The service is normally decent. Not this time. -I had to wipe our table off because it was still sticky -I had to bring us menus (you seat yourself but it was a solid 15 minutes before our server approached us and they were not busy at all) -server carried our once hot appetizer to FOUR different tables taking care of them and holding the food. By the time she made her way to us it was soggy. -my chicken was like rubber, I didn't finish it -my wife asked for a side of queso but never received it -no one offered us refills, I had to ask three times for a refill in a to go cup -it took a solid 45 mins for our lunch to come up. -I asked for small plates so we could eat our lukewarm soggy fried artichokes I love the Mont and we made a special trip to go. Lesson learned.

The patio dining is a great option on a nice day and they've added sail panels since I last went so it's an even better option when the sun is out. The food is solid, nothing spectacular but tasty and affordable. Got a burger and fries for $10, hard to beat that. The burger itself was good, the fries were well seasoned, the service was good. A nice basic Norman staple

Had the artichokes fried and the Cuban sandwich and the Reuben and everything was excellent Service was great. Everything came out hot.

The Mont is always a classic go-to when you visit Norman, OK! They have some of the best swirls around!! Sometimes the wait can be long, but the swirls are worth it. They have a nice outdoor patio area too! Parking can be a task if it's a busy time, but thankfully they have an overflow parking lot!

The best patio in Norman, hands down. Heaters when it's cold, misters when it's hot. The brick patio and all the plants make it a unique and really pretty spot to enjoy lunch or dinner out with family or friends. The Mont is a campus staple and never disappoints. Everything is solid, the drinks, the food, the service. Go for your birthday and get your free t-shirt. Don't forget some queso and a frozen swirl. It's a Norman/OU tradition!

You simply must order the burritos and the queso here. Ridiculously good! The Mont is a classic hangout in Norman and we will definitely return! The service is lively and the atmosphere is very fun.

This restaurant is located in a college town(dive bar). We decided to try this establishment while driving by and seeing the well lit patio and hearing music. They offered self seating on the patio. A sever approached our table quite quickly. We ordered a swirl, fried pickles and tacos. The swirl was amazing!! We had 2 chicken tacos and 1 ground beef taco. They came with lettuce and tomorrow and were bland (wouldn't recommend). But the fried pickles were bomb. They were seasoned well and came out piping hot. Overall, I could come back for late night eats/drinks.

Brown hair Lauren was the best. She took great care of us on our girls night out!! The food was great and came out at a great time!! I hope she ends up on the Mont Instagram!!

We came in a Saturday night and it was a 15 minute wait which wasn't too bad. They had a football game so it was pretty crowded so service was a little slow but our server was very nice. The inside is a little dark but the decor was cute. We started off with pina coladas and they were delicious. We got the mini corn dogs and burgers and everything was good. Honestly for the price of the food this place is a perfect spot to get drinks near campus on the weekend.

When to the many last week with my buds and celebrating one of my coolest friends's birthday, had swirls, they are magically delicious! The service is top tier, nice waitresses/waiter with their bubbly personality, I order the theta burger with mayo, bbq, pickles, cheese and onions with a side of fries and ordered deep fried pickles which they are to DIE for! Love the look of the restaurant and has a beautiful outdoor dining, made for eating out in nice weather and pretty hand to have big outdoor heating lamps when it gets cool. This is one of the best restaurants I ever been since my whole time here at OU

I have loved this restaurant and would generally give it 4-5 stars. Although I think it is unacceptable when the hostess tells you the wait is 35 minutes. You go and sit at the bar to wait for a table. An hour later still no table. You go and check at the hostess stand how long for your table. Receive attitude and get told another 25 minutes! Okay my first wait was 35 minutes that turned into an hour as I waited patiently. Does 25 minutes mean another 40 minutes. The attitude was also not okay I should be receiving an apology! Get rid of the attitude and start focusing on customer service. Disappointed with how much money I've given you the past 4 years of college.

Our server was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was delightful. The swirl was amazing as always. What topped it off for me was out amazing server, she was delightful, and so full of wonderful energy. Will definitely go back.

Chicken Nachos outstanding - get all the sides (salsa, sour cream, jalapeños & guacamole) I know that their Swirl is their signature drink, and it's great BUT! Their Patio Margarita is the best margarita I've ever had, and I've had lots!

Best Reuben I've ever had! Service was quick and friendly (thank you server Sondra)! We sat on the patio, cute and nice (would prefer fly-less, but can't help that). The Sooner Swirl was also a very tasty frozen alcoholic beverage!

Definitely recommend! The wait was a little long but we had a group of 5 and it was worth it! The menu has so much to offer and we liked everything we ordered except the 2 sandwiches (kids grilled cheese and turkey club) were pretty dry. We got fried okra, fried mushrooms, and queso and they were all delicious, I suggest asking for the okra to be cooked crispy. I got taco salad with taco meat and the blueberry margarita and both were so fresh and good!! Service was also really great from the host to the manager who was helping and our server.

Such a staple in Norman! and you literally can't beat their prices. I always have a good experience here and I LOVE the patio! The burgers and drinks are amazing. I love The Mont!

Top-tier dinner very cheap and efficient went with my best friend super fast service top-notch service cheap food absolutely wonderful recommend to anybody in the area.

I think people are missing the point of this God-sent and willed establishment -- this is bar food where you are there late at night just there to have a good time and enjoy a meal that would make you regret your past self the next morning. The food here is simple -- it's not the best food, well, besides for their loaded fries that pairs so well with their ranch that would make you put that sh*t on everything. The prices aren't bad, some of the food is under seasoned or dry -- burgers -- but it's all guilty pleasures that would get you by in life. The place gets pretty loud and hectic, more quiet on the outside, but it's all good fun and vibes where you don't have to worry about too many drunkards and just enjoy the fiasco of bad drivers that pass by. Enjoy the simple pleasures in life, as this is not a place you have to be over critical on but just enjoy the experience of a late-night food binge.

Great experience! Surprisingly affordable, wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food. The burger patty could've benefited from more seasoning, but was otherwise very good.

Service wasn't as attentive as we would like for a group of 10, but they were busy on the patio so understandable. 4 stars for service Food was very mid. the loaded fries were decent, but the buffalo tenders and fried mushroom were below average. 3 stars for food.

Stopped there for lunch on a Friday before a football game. 1st time there. The wait staff was top notch. Had the chicken fried chicken. It was awesome. Of course we had the queso and a swirl.

Service was great, our glasses were never even half empty. She took our order by memory and didn't miss anything. Kitchen was quick and food was great! Definitely the place to go in Norman for a true OU experience.

From our OU days ('77- '81) some of our best memories were at the Mont. drinking age was 18, the margaritas were incredible yet it was always-always the bean & cheese nachos. Our visit to Norman this weekend for a sorority reunion & the OU win against Kansas, you CAN go home again. The nicest hostess - we waited patiently for our patio table and had fantastic service. While waiting I went to the inside bar where Mac created the BEST Patio Pleaser margaritas. Those nachos. The little side of chopped jalapeños, we ordered it 2x. What a wonderful way to start the weekend. Thank you SO much for adding to my wonderful memories. The Mont is the best. And oh yes....the "blue room" as we called it back then. Stories I can't share here!!

The Mont is a traditional must go to whenever I'm in town visiting. Everything I've tried so far has been quality and for a great price. This time I got the taco salad and that has to be the best taco salad I've ever eaten. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was seasoned & flavorful, and the taco shell tasted awesome. I washed it all down with a Sooner swirl! I absolutely love this place and will be back the next time I'm in town.

I am going to be honest. The food here is mediocre at best, but I don't think anyone enjoys The Mont specifically because of the food. In a college town that has been stripped of mom and pops only to be replaced by terrible chain restaurants, The Mont has stood the test of time. It's been a restaurant since the 1920's and has changed hands many times over the decades. When my parents were young, it was called The Monterrey and was more of a Tex-Mex bar and grill. When I was growing up in the 90's and early 00's it was The Mont but the menu was quite different and I believe slightly better than it is now. The one thing that has not changed is their Original Sooner Swirl, a cocktail that has since been made famous and copycatted everywhere. They also still have an amazing large patio with misters, ambient lighting and gargoyle lamps. Inside is a dark and musty bar with booths, tables and a circular booth that can seat very large parties on request. I think of it as more of a Sports bar with Tex-Mex and All American options. It's absolutely packed most days of the week and when football is in season, game days are impossible to get in. As someone who lived in the Los Angeles area for over a decade, their parking lot causes the same panic and stress that I have only ever felt in Downtown Los Angeles trying to find a place to park that is close to the venue and will not tow. I highly recommend opting for a ride share as it will make your visit that much more enjoyable.

Sitting outside was surprisingly comforttable on a hot summer day. Service was a bit slow and we were not checked on often. Would have ordered more if the waitress came back. Also, one of our dinner companions got the wrong salad. When the waitress finally came back everyone was done eating so she just didnt eat and it wasnt taken off her bill. Food is okay. Their claim to fame is the swirls so enjoy a swirl outside but order 2 to start!

Bad food and worse service. Our party of 6 had 3 appetizers, the fried mushrooms were burnt and nothing was seasoned at all. I finished my tea before we finished the apps and didn't get a refill til after the meal was over, despite asking twice. Our server acted exasperated with me for asking the second time and told me he was busy. The only good thing about the experience was the outdoor seating area. Lots of lush trees and flowers made the space beautiful. But no, I can't recommend it. We had a poor enough time that we won't go back.

Beautiful patio day at The Mont. The super spin salad is one of my top picks in Norman for a healthy lunch or dinner. Split some fried green beans with the Dream Man to balance things out and they were as crispy and delicious as ever. Mark loves the taco salad because it is not only tasty, it comes with a side of chips and their house made salsa. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. Another home run for The Mont!

We have been to The Mont a couple of times . We have incoming OU Freshmen. Despite it being busy, we had friendly servers and good service. The food is okay, can't go wrong with the burgers and appetizers. But what really keeps me going back are the Pina Coladas!

Accessible parking lot. Reservations taken. Usually can be seated without reservations. Outdoor dining, privacy dining. Fantastic appetizers, variety of drinks. Service impeccable. I got the chicken fried steak perfectly done and the white gravy was par- none. I personally have never tasted a better gravy. I passed this restaurant and it seemed like a small place where possibly students and their parents got together. Please don't let it fool you it has a full bar it can handle a group of 30 people I saw it with my own eyes. The best part was I was apprehensive about getting my food in a prompt manner. No worry needed...it was over and above my expectations. Check out The mont!! I had a wonderful time. All the servers, manager was went over and beyond to make me feel welcome. I appreciate solo diner.

Food was not hot . Didn't even taste good. And the price. Finding the spot for pickup wasn't easy. No signs directing.

The Ssrvice was great, the food was solid bar food, and it has a nice patio that was comfortable on a hot day.

Food is pretty good and diverse selection. Best part is, it's just a great place to hang with friends and maybe enjoy a swirl or two!! Whether you are a current OU student or alumnus or a visitor this is a must on your bucket list for Norman service is great 99% of the time!!

Who doesn't live the mont. though they're infamous swirls are not my favorite I do love their Mac n cheese, the BLT they offer is tasty. We sat at the tiki bar highly recommend it for large groups when the weather is nice. The service was great and the server was very attentive.

Food was decent (I ordered loaded fries). Waitress recommended a limey drink, that was good. Other than that the service was not the best.

I love this place. We sat on the patio, had a swirl and I had the burrito with chicken.it was excellent and I had lots of leftovers.

I know it's an iconic place full of nostalgia but I wasn't a fan. The food wasn't good. I'm glad I tried it for the nostalgia but it's not a place I would want to eat at again.
