Not a safe place for single women like my past experience in Charlotte, North Carolina. Had my life threatened by guest if Member for not giving a menthol cigarette to guest. Member did NOTHING but continue to eat. Luckily we were outside, guest went inside I left while Member continued to eat. Next morning called Administrator and left message as well as message on Lodge phone. Went to lodge saw Treasurer before official opening. Asked where us Administrator and need coffee. Asked if I could make coffee, no response. I left. Came back at 1:00. Administrator cooking and is hard of hearing and not very ambulatory. Asked for food, no $ on my part but I have donated tons of food and time, no food even after saying well I’m hungry but never mind, I left. My notebook I created was under a shelf behind bar and had all South Sacramento Moose Lodge #255 officers’ telephone numbers. I called asking for Lodge 255 Board of Officers -President’s telephone number, bartender unable to comply, transfers me to Administrator says can’t give me # but they are in the newsletter (in my notebook on the shelf behind the bar). I proceed to contact Moose International via their website. No response so far. Called President after kind bartender delivered notebook after her volunteer shift. He listened, I think, no response as I hung up. Left message for Chaplain of Lodge, no response. Called Senior Regent for Women of the Moose, no response.
All this happened yesterday and today.
