Gaslamp Bistro and Bar Serves Up Early Morning Eats and Late Night Drinks | Eater San Diego

"Opened around the new year in the 4,132-square-foot corner space at F Street and Sixth Avenue that last housed Vegas transplant Off the Strip, The Morning After is a Gaslamp eatery now serving daily breakfast and combining a bar and lounge area with a separate dining room. Its daytime menu leans sweet—Fruity Pebbles pancakes topped with mascarpone buttercream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch brioche toast with Grand Marnier icing, and a red velvet waffle topped with cream cheese icing and toasted pecans—while savory options include bacon-wrapped asparagus with an over-easy egg and balsamic drizzle and shrimp and grits with pancetta herb gravy; French toast, waffle and pancake flights are available, along with brunch drink flights from mimosas and margaritas to Bloody Marys. Open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. on weekends, the restaurant morphs into a sports bar beginning at 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and serves a late-night bar-bites menu featuring sliders, mac ‘n cheese, loaded french fries, and buffalo wings." - Candice Woo

Our brunch yesterday at The Morning After was a fantastic experience. The crew here are doing a FANTASTIC job with everything. From starting with two lattes that were full of flavour, into a couple benedicts and a sweet treat at the end, everything was spot on. The "Wake and Steak" benedict was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the flavour balanced with caramelized onions and brie & gruyere cheeses perfectly. Nothing was overstated nor overwhelming & based on how well I felt after, quality oils were used. The poached eggs were cooked to absolute perfection, which isn't always the case. This was a one meal day for us.... we each had a Benedict and that held us for the day. We also shared a sweet treat of a couple pieces of fried French toast which left us speechless! The Morning After will be a regular stop whenever we are in the city & highly recommended!

Google
The place looks really nice and modern. It isn't the "most" spacious place but it works for them. Food was good, interesting options I went for the lobster eggs Benedict which isn't something you see often. I like that most of the plates come with salad not your typical breakfast restaurant. Its unique worth the visit.

Great vibe overall, a little too loud for a breakfast setting but meant for an adult morning breakfast. Food is probably the best thing overall. We had the Wake & Steak, Woke up to Benny, and the “gotta get the ricotta”. Wake & steak was alright, steak was cooked to perfection. Mushrooms were a little over done to our liking but Caramilized onions and cheeses were a great pair. Woke up to Benny was a decent eggs Benedict. The beetroot hollandaise was a nice touch alongside the fried capers. We also had the Loaded Home fries with both Benedict dishes which are something I would recommend getting regardless of what dish you have as they are phenomenal if you love hollandaise. The buttermilk pancakes (gotta get the ricotta) were a little disappointing. Looks were very deceiving for this one as we found the pancakes were extremely dry and gritty. (Compared to usual buttermilk pancakes you would usually have). The toppings were a great contrast with each other but the pancake itself was quite disappointing. Overall I would recommend this place if you’re planning a nice breakfast with 3-4 people who would enjoy loud r&b/Hip-hop music. (Azul bottles everywhere so you could already know the vibes from this place). The food for the price is pretty worth it. Just make sure you find out what you like.

Google
Food was the best...the bartender/ waitress was very friendly and helpful...she showed us some places to go for new year's eve events. Overall the 15 minute wait was worth it... I would recommend making a reservation if you could before coming in

Google
The salmon benedict was fine, the salmon was a bit fishy and the beetroot hollandaise sauce was bland. The house salad was okay. But the hash browns were absolutely delicious though. The pumpkin spice latte was decent. Overall it was fine but definitely not worth $48 just for a meal and a coffee.

My friend and I went to Morning After for brunch and absolutely loved it! The vibes were amazing, there was a DJ playing great music and the whole ambiance was so cute and girly 🌸 We got the mimosa tower and it was perfect, so fun, so aesthetic, and such a great addition to the brunch experience. The food was delicious too! They also have a patio, which makes this place a must-go spot this summer. ☀️ Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a fun brunch with great vibes! 😊😊

Google
Delicious food and great location. Eat inside to avoid sitting on the dirty chairs at the patio. I came to this place after a long flight and the staff was fast in accommodating us and kind, food was served super fast. Now the only thing for improvement and the reason I dont rate it 5 stars is that the place looks really nice but the chair fabrics at the patio are all stainned and dirty, I was with guest and I was embarrassed to have them sit there. I think this needs to improve.

Google
We had such a great time here! As you can probably tell, we went for the Mimosa Go Round and Bottoms Up, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the ‘Make No Mis-Steak’ and absolutely loved it, the portions were generous and everything tasted amazing. Our server was so friendly and had excellent recommendations, which made the experience even better. Not being from Toronto, I can confidently say I’d 100% come back next time I’m in the area

Yelp
This place is one of the most hyped up brunch places in the GTA. There's always a line in the summer. I would say - the food did not disappoint! We tried the recommended items, the chicken waffle and french toast. I would highly recommend the french toast! It was paired with a tequila caramel sauce that is unique and layered. However, you do need to wait in line on weekends. I tried to reserve a table for my friend who wanted to come the same day and the hostess would not let me.

Yelp
It's always brunch o'clock at the morning after. We enjoyed everything here and the service was amazing. The menu has so many options with quirky names, it's so hard to choose!! They have drinks and cocktails too. Perfect brunch spot! Newest on the menu is the *Stacked in Dubai (Dubai chocolate pancakes) * Hangover Hamburger *ménage a trois (Deep Fried French Toast) *Still Fried (Chicken & waffle) And of course the drinks are so pretty we had to try *Pistachio Latte *Unicorn Latte It's super busy on weekends so be prepared to wait. The only complaint is their parking. All these restaurants have limited street parking. And it's out of the way to go if you don't have a car.

Yelp
Chose The Morning After for brunch because it was near where I was staying and it ended up being amazing. The atmosphere and music was lively and the drinks were incredible. My boyfriend had the Ceasar (not pictured) and said it was the best bloody mary he's ever had. The food was well seasoned and it hit the spot for sure. We also loved the homemade hot sauce. It was a great experience with great vibes.

Yelp
Great spot for brunch with family or friends! Great service and the food was all very good - loved the names of the dishes.

Yelp
The food was amazing!! Great service and good vibe! Dubai pancakes are a must! Coffee latte tasty and not sweet

Yelp
We looked for a brunch spot with a dj that would remind us of home. This cute little spot had all the aesthics and the dj. We were sat right away which is good because the later it got the more people showed up and they had to wait. The bartender was really nice and accommodated us the entire time. Didn't get his name but we can call him mr blue eyes. He gave drink recommendations and as busy as he was he was still good. All the platters were good. The eggs and potatoes were good. The bacon was chewy. My sis got chicken and waffles.. the chicken was chewy and the waffle was alright. They should think going with tenders or wings. The pancake was thick as ever but sooo good. Drinks wete okay. The need less juice but more alcohol. Definitely a spot with a good vibe though

Yelp
Came here for brunch with 2 friends and had a wonderful time as the atmosphere was great for brunch. The service was attentive and very quick for brunch. The menu was very extensive with lots of different brunch items and drinks as well. I would definitely come back to this location for brunch.

Yelp
Was looking for a cute brunch spot in the Downtown core area and discovered The Morning After from a quick search online. Despite being around -20 outside, there was still a reasonable amount of people! I came around 10am-ish on a Saturday and was able to grab a table. Walking in, you're welcomed with upbeat party pop music which is a bit of a fun vibe for early in the morning. Spill the Tea (Matcha pancakes): Aesthetically looked amazing but the pancakes were denser than they appeared. The size looked pretty small based on first impressions but was a lot more filling than it looked. Taste wise they tasted decent with the matcha sauce. You can definitely taste the coconut in this pancake. It wasn't the best I've had but not the worst! Blueberry ricotta pancakes: Similar review with the matcha pancakes. The blueberry sauce was delicious and paired well with the ricotta however, it does get a bit overwhelming after a few bites as the pancake texture is already dense. I feel like this would really pair better if the pancake was more fluffier. Chicken & waffles: The chicken and waffles were quite good! The gochujang infusion wasn't really that obvious so I was a bit surprised there was even gochujang in it. I found this to be a bit better than the pancakes. The service was very attentive and checking up on our table for water refills. I thought the wait time would be longer for the food since the server did give a heads up for the long wait time for the food but to our surprise the food came out much quicker than the estimated time! Overall, I had a great experience here, only rough part is that the restaurant is tough to find if you're not familiar with the area (if you see Hunter's Landing, turn to the walkway and it's on the opposite side more tucked in).

Yelp
Not my choice to come here but it wasn't too bad. A bit pricy for what you're getting but that's just the world today. I ordered red velvet pancakes and a unicorn latte. The pancakes were ok but didn't taste at all like red velvet. If they didn't have the cream cheese frosting I feel like they would have been blah. The latte had zero flavor. Was supposed to have a marshmallow syrup but I didn't taste it AT ALL. That could have been cause it was hot but who knows. The waitress also DID NOT ask if we wanted our drinks hot or iced. It came hot and I wanted it iced. Same with my friend. The place itself is decorated nicely. Very Instagramable. Would I go back if I'm ever in Toronto? Probably not. Once is more than enough.

Yelp
We visited The Morning After at the recommendation of my bf who went here last time he was in Toronto. It was the last restaurant we ate at on the way back home. Upon entering the restaurant, you are met with a bright and cheery vibe. It was very cute! I loved all the decor. The staff were very nice, they seated us and got our drink orders. I just wanted orange juice, but they were all out, so I got grapefruit. My boyfriend got a mimosa, which he liked. We both got the chicken and waffles - he got the gochujang syrup that it came with and I got regular syrup. Once the food came out, we both agreed the chicken was pretty dry, despite it being thigh meat. There wasn't very much breading on the chicken and not enough syrup for the dish, in my opinion, so I asked for more which made it a little better. My waffle was tasty once I added the extra syrup. My bf said it was a lot better the last time he went there. Overall, really cute restaurant but if I went again I would order something else. I wish I got the pancakes because in the pictures on others' reviews they look really yummy! That seems to be their specialty, so maybe stick to those.

Yelp
Renee is an awesome server. She was so polite and knew the menu like the back of her hand. The food choices were very broad!

Yelp
First, let me say the decor and atmosphere of this restaurant was amazing. The only thing that would make me take away points from this restaurant would be how long it took for us to get your food. When you first come into the restaurant area, the music is blasting, and the crowd was definitely enjoying themselves. Once seated the waitress told us that we had one hour. We looked at the menu and placed our orders after our orders were placed, it took almost 30 minutes to receive our food and for such a long wait the food was definitely not hot when it reached the table. To eat I ordered the make no mis-steak which was steak with eggs however you wanted them and crispy potatoes with a house sauce. The food was definitely good, but as I stated before, the only thing that would make me take points away from this restaurant was that it took so long to get your food and I dis wish the food was hotter when it reached the table. The staff was amazing. They were very friendly and very helpful. The outfits that the staff wore were also cool. The female staff wore pink shirts or sweaters that said fuck hangovers on the back, and the male staff members wore black. I definitely enjoyed myself here. The music set the mood and the crowd definitely added to it so I would definitely come back here if in Toronto again.

Yelp
We had a good breakfast. The food was fresh and tasty. The egg on mine could have been a tiny bit better cooked. It had a bit of runniness to it but the flavor was pretty good overall.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
What an amazing brunch spot for anyone looking to have a fun vibe and delicious food. They play great music to help keep the a lively mood going the entire time you are there! They have many sweet and savory options for food with a lot of drink options. Their service is top notch although the place was super busy when we went. I definitely recommend this place if you have family or friends visiting and want to take them out somewhere fun. I ordered the Habibi baby and it was the perfect out of food for me and had many different flavors. I will definitely be back! 10/10
google avatar

Shamara B.

Yelp
Cool breakfast spot. They play very good hip hop/ RnB music! The customer service was good. I definitely recommend. However, I did wish they put tomatoes on their house salad. ‍

Yelp
Overall, this was a bad experience all around. It started when we walked in and had to wait 2 hours despite being quoted 45 minutes. After waiting through rainfall and hunger - we finally got seated on a wet patio outside. Upon ordering our food, we only received half of it, with our server forgetting the remaining half for 30-45 min. By the time we finally got that resolved, all of our food was cold. That being said, once we tasted the food we realized that the temperature of the food was the least of the problems. Dry and flavourless - the food left much to be desired. The dessert looked great so we were excited to have a break, but as we should have guessed, very underwhelming as well. Please save your time and money and go to a different brunch spot. This is clearly a restaurant selling itself on a gimmick versus service/food.
google avatar

Nori S.

Yelp
Great vibe, although very loud. Overpriced for ok food. They add an 18% gratuity to the bill for a table of 5 or more, jsyk. Hollandaise was terrible! Tasteless and seemed like it was made from mayonnaise. 4 of us had Benedict's. None of us really enjoyed them.....underwhelming! The lobster Benedict (down under) came out cold, both times. The fried chicken was dry and really didn't have a coating.

Yelp
I wish I could give this restaurant 6 stars for the amazing experience I had for my birthday! It checked off everything and more! ... All for a very reasonable price compared to other downtown experiences. I was looking for a place to celebrate my birthday on a Monday morning, and I wanted it to have super girly brunch vibes (we had a party of 4), an aesthetic ambiance, yummy food for a reasonable price, not be too claustrophobic, not too west end, and not too hard to find parking. This restaurant and our server (her name was Asia!) delivered above and beyond! For booking the restaurant, I called on Sunday night for a reservation (it was really hard to find a place that offered brunch/tea on a weekday, let alone last minute), and they recommended to reserve the pink couch to fit the vibes I was looking for. This spot ended up being so cute and girly, had a really nice view of the restaurant and decor, and had great lighting. The restaurant was not overly book at this time. The table was spacious enough to accomodate way more than the 4 of us. They also played fun music to add to the vibe We ordered something sweet (mashup platter), something savoury (the wreckage), and lattes and it ended up being the perfect portions for the 4 of us. The food was super yummy with the perfect balance of sweet (but not too sweet!) to savoury (just the right amount of sovoury so that we wouldn't get foodcoma before our other activities). It was a bonus when the mashup platter came out served in a brunch tower when we were only expecting a platter. Our server, Asia, was awesome and super hype! She brought lots of positive energy, was very attentative as our server, helped us take pictures, and even worked the camera angles for us. As a bonus at the end, she even brought out yummy birthday cocktail shots (FYI I usually hate alcoholic drinks) accompanied with flashing party lights (like when you reserve a booth at the club). She took really good care of us and we had an amazing time with her I would definitely be back, and highly recommend this place if this is the vibe you're looking for Our order: mashup platter (20-25 mins) -- $40 mixed pancake, french toast & waffle platter with sweet accompaniments the wreckage -- $22 home fries topped with quebec curds, hollandaise, mustard cream sauce, smoked meat & bacon crumble topped with a sunny-side up egg & chives cinnamon toast crunch latte -- $10 + others

Yelp
Very cute brunch place, good service, and aesthetic and good tasting food! Came here with a group of 6 with a reservation and we were seated within minutes of checking in. The staff were nice and took the time to talk through their favorites and any recommendations she had. The food came out in a timely manner (within 15 mins for all 6 of us). The food was good and the drinks were super aesthetic, though a bit expensive for the quantity. The aesthetic was super cute, we were seated at one of the bigger tables with a pink couch on one side and table chairs on the other. Got a lot of cute pics together and I absolutely loved the pink couch look!

Yelp
What's poppin' at The Morning After Finally had the chance to try this place after seeing it everywhere on TikTok! It "sort-of" lived up to the hype? We got the Red Velvet Pancakes which I was really excited for, big fan of red velvet! The texture is a little off considering how chewy it is and it didn't feel like a pancake nor does it feel like a cake - kinda have mixed feelings about this ‍ We also got the Wake & Steak eggs Benedict we asked for medium rare but it came out TOUGH, almost well done. Quite ironic how in the menu there's a little note on how the chef does not suggest cooking the steak passed medium-well As for drinks, we were really excited to try the famous Unicorn Latte, but their espresso machine is broken so they suggested the iced version instead but it deadass tasted like Tim's iced coffee & the sprinkled Lucky Charms cereal just cause of the name anyways, not a vibe unfortunately Also forgot to mention how there's only a 1 hour seating limit, and the food takes almost 30mins but thankfully our server did not rush us. Despite being slightly underwhelmed by the food, I'd still come by and try their other dishes - so let me know if you have any reccs! Also they have the prettiest patio cause we were sitting inside and the club music was just too damn loud for our liking not very brunch-y music imo Food: 6.5/10 Service: 7/10 Ambiance: 7.5/10

Yelp
The food was delicious. I ordered an aye dios (huevos rancheros) with a pineapple mimosa. The service was great and the wait wasn't long! The ambiance was nice, & the waitress was super energetic & very friendly. The music was good too.
google avatar

Yelp
Decide to go here on my visit to Toronto. I wish they took reservation so we didn't have to wait. I will say the food was absolutely delicious. The service was pretty good as well.
google avatar

Jenniffer M.

Yelp
As soon as we headed in, the ambiance was poppin! The jams were jamming and the food was to die for. There were a variety of options on drinks and foods available. I would recommend people to come here as the food was really good and fresh! I do wish to service was faster, but overall it was great. Below I will be adding the pictures of our food and it was light. The chicken and waffles was a little heavier. The taste was delicious and I even ordered an additional waffle.
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
Such a fun cute brunch stop paired with subpar service. Wrong food was sent to the table and another server cleaned up our servers mess, while she watched so weird... Food orders: "Still Fried" = chicken and walffles 3/5 Eventually I got Belgian walffles scrabble eggs and turkey 3/5 bacon Ambiance: nice, fun great music!!!
google avatar

Owen B.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast as our AirBnB was right next door. We wanted a good breakfast after a late night and this place didn't disappoint. Great atmosphere and we sat at the bar. I had the french toast with eggs and let me tell you, some of the best french toast I've ever at. Thick cut slices of bread and just pure goodness. Add the maple syrup and it was excellent!!
google avatar

A'Yanna E.

Yelp
A cute, vibey atmosphere, fun menu, & tasty great portion of food! I wasn't sure I'd like some of the creative French toast & waffles so I went the safe route with my plain waffle. It was really good! It seemed everyone orders the unicorn lattes so I decided to be first to post the Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte with Oat milk. I'm not a coffee drinker but it was very good. It was served with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal on it & on the side. Honestly it made me want to start eating cereal with coffee mixed with milk! Delish combo! It's always a wait here, live dj, so be sure to make a reservation on weekends! Also, the waiter won't inform you but the tiny ramekin of syrup isn't enough so when you ask for another know the tiny thing costs $3. The dj was on point, the lighting is perfect for photos, the crowd is youthful. Go, enjoy!!
google avatar

Jacinta J.

Yelp
Definitely a vibe ... it was next store to our amazing airbnb. Asia our server was attentive and friendly - she provided some really great suggestions. She also told us about the "wheel" - if you come back you are able to enjoy additional specials. We will be back- I ordered the spanish coffee (0.5oz Grand Marnier, 0.5oz Kahlua, 0.5oz Kraken Rum) (alcoholic)- soooo good ! My friend ordered the tingaling - both were cute and strong. They played 90's R&B so you know I'm in love with the whole vibe. I ordered the wreckage ( so cute how the names of the dishes and drinks go with the theme), my friend ordered the ay dios mío - ( she wanted something light) both were delicious ! Can't wait to come on the weekend.

Ana E.

Yelp
Amazing food! I got the Habibi Effect. It was so refreshing and light. Highly recommend!

Cecilia N.

Yelp
Very Mid and I can understand why it's a tourist spot!!! Cute spot ecstatically, music was a vibe, drinks are cute and taste good...food was nothing to brag about at all! After waiting over 40 mins for food I started watching the kitchen. Which I could see from my seat. I watched a waitress pick up a waffle take it outside and bring it back and put it back on the food table to be served again. About 10 mins go by and they finally bring our food after I had to ask was our order put in and they bring that same waffle that had been sitting up on the table. NO TF Thanks! The service was slow as far as receiving drinks and food! I watched multiple tables get seated after us and get food way before us!

Yelp
Busy even on a rainy day. No reservations here so literally first come, first serve. We came around 11:30 am just before waves of people came in and even settled to sit outside in the cool, covered air. This is definitely the place for breakfast for whatever reason ails you. I had the Ay dios mio - a crispy corn tortilla topped with pico di gallo, refried beans and fried egg, served spicy rancheros sauce, lime creme, queso fresco, avocado, and cilantro. This was tasty! The atmosphere is busy! Only open until 4 pm with a 90 minute turnover per table. Also, 18% tip is included in the bill you receive. When you get the bill you are also told you can add another tip on top of that. That's a bit much I must say. I'm happy the quality of food and customer service is on par which may warrant that if you have one of their endless options of cocktails. I love the atmosphere and definitely feel this would be a quick fun place to go in the summer.
google avatar

Inza F.

Yelp
This is my first time visiting the restaurant. The vibe and ambiance was very nice. I had chicken and waffles (still fried on the menu) and a "daytime ting" (casamigos tequila). The chicken was seasoned and lightly fried. It came with infused maple syrup and I also had a tequila infused glaze that was amazing! Jemekaa was our waitress. She made out experience at the restaurant so great. I had different questions regarding food and allergies...she never made me feel like I was asking too much!
google avatar

Elle G.

Yelp
Great little place for brunch. The only downside to it is that they really do not have a lot of seating in the summertime. It's much better because they have a huge patio and therefore can really extend their seating and almost double it or more. On Fridays through Sunday as they do not take reservations, so FYI, totally understand that based on their seating capacity, so depending on the time that you show up, you may end up having about a half hour wait especially during the busy times. Having said all that the staff are extremely nice, very helpful and also very efficient. Once you sit down and order you've got about 90 minutes at your table, but they do serve you very quickly and so therefore you can actually enjoy your brunch and sit and relax for a bit with a coffee or a drink and talk with your friends. My friend and I ended up having the eggs Benedict And the three egg classic breakfast. And the lychee mimosa. Both meals were excellent and came very quickly. You won't be disappointed. Very fun vibe and just a great place overall to go and have brunch. It's located off Fort York blvd If you see Taylor's Landing, it's down that same lane way - you have to actually turn right and walk a bit . There is a parking lot, but candidly best access is via TTC you they'll drop you right at the top of the hill on Spadina at Bremner . Enjoy.

Yelp
We came for breakfast at 9am Ambiance: (5 stars) Fun and open outside. Can be good for a get together. Service: (5 stars) Very attentive, they came to refill water and coffee frequently. They do charge upfront 18% gratituity which I'm against, but the service makes up for it. Food: (stars) The waffles were amazing, the chicken was really good. It was in the spicier side The "freshly squeezed" orange juice is from a box, would not recommend. Coffee, waffles were $30 tax and tip in.

Yelp
Amna and her crew are kind and patient with their service. French toast and Ceaser(Bloody Mary) were both delicious. They even made a Mocktail for our 3yr old, so he could join mom and dad for drinks, Ambience was modern and music is on point!
google avatar

Harshini R.

Yelp
A brunch spot with great potential, but they didn't deliver. They have a pretty large patio with umbrellas so it's great for the summer. The service was great and our server was very friendly. However, the food was an absolute disappointment. We got the gotta get the ricotta and guilty conscience. The pancakes came out within a minute of ordering them (no exaggeration). They were hot and fresh but the texture was off putting. The ricotta cream they pour into the pancakes looks like curdled milk and didn't taste great either. The pancakes almost tasted like it was more of a sponge cake. The guilty conscience was better and came with a ton of home fries (probably the best part of the meal). It was some great flavors but the Montreal smoked meat was thick chucks and the onions weren't really caramelized. Overall, I'm sad to say I wouldn't go back to try anything else even though they have a lot of great sounding options.

Yelp
omg this place was a VIBE! thoroughly enjoyed it. The food, the DJ was great and so was the drinks. The bartender was so nice and helpful too!

Yelp
We checked this place out for my cousins birthday. Since they don't do reservations online we expected that their will be a wait period. Which surprisingly wasn't bad, we waited around 20 mins on a Saturday. They didn't rush us out so we were able to eat in peace. The wait time for the food to arrive was a little longer than expected. The table beside us was getting a little annoyed on why the food was taking so long to arrive. But once we got the food it was delicious. I got the b² benny. Also got a Purple Daze cocktail and my cousin got the cinnamon toast crunch latte. Which was actually so good. I would go back for to try the other drinks and lattes they have. The vibes of the place were nice, they had the DJ playing some HipHop/R&B. We had such a great time, and for dessert we got the gotta get the ricotta pancakes. These were fire! Definitely will be going back to this place.

Yelp
Came for brunch on a Monday morning and was greeted by a cute interior, nice servers, and a music playlist full of the latest pop hits. This interior and food are both very Instagram and photo-worthy. What we got: - Unicorn Latte - Gotta get the ricotta (Buttermilk pancakes with whipped lemon ricotta and blueberry compote) - Waffles Final Thoughts: This is one of those places where you're definitely paying for the vibes, not the quality of the food. It was all okay but nothing amazing. My pancakes were very dense so I felt like they were quite heavy and I didn't finish even though it was only two pancakes. I think this would be a vibe for weekend brunch with the girls in the summer, but there are better brunch options in the city for this price point.

Yelp
Not at all an experience I was looking for. The service was just off point and quite bad It took 40 minutes for my food to come out after I had to find the waitress to ask where it was.... The kitchen forgot about it And after sitting for an hour I had to go find my waitress for my bill, who could see me the entire tile but chose to chinwag with other servers. The chicken was delicious, the sauce and waffle cold and just inedible. First and last visit for me

Yelp
I had high expectations about this place . Seeing all the reviews and pictures on tiktok/instagram had me hyped up on going . Of course should've known better. Food was pretty average and just overpriced. The inside is beautiful, the music is "cool" however none of the dishes blew my mind and is not a place I'll think to go back . I had the eggs Benedict but instead of the steak they replace it with avocado if you are vegetarian . The avocado wasn't even ready and it was very hard to eat . Mimosas were meh , I had the mango tango that was supposed to be with nectar mango juice and I didn't even tasted the mango at all , definitely not worth the price . All the dishes in their menu are any type of dish you can find at a average brunch nothing extravagant . If you want to have cute instagram pictures, pay for overpriced brunch this might be the place for you . In other note service was great , she was very kind and friendly.

Yelp
Found the restaurant on Google maps. Super close to my Airbnb. So decided to stop by in the morning. I ordered the flying unicorn latte and the spill the tea pancakes. The waiter took the order wrong and gave me the regular unicorn latte instead. I had a few sips and couldn't taste the alcohol at all and double checked with her. Seemed like she put in the wrong order for me. Also the latte didn't come until maybe 5 or 7 min after the pancakes were served. I read the reviews online saying the unicorn latte was super sweet. So I asked for half sugar. It turned out pretty well. They used vanilla syrup instead of marshmallow syrup. I also asked them to switch to oat milk. Later I found out it costed $1.5 to switch to oat milk.... I hope they used some unicorn oat milk... cuz Tim Hortons only charges $0.5 more for oat milk. The pancakes were terrible... couldn't tell what texture the chef was going for. They were not fluffy, nor like a cake. They just felt like some sad, failed cake that were out in the kitchen overnight. The pancakes themselves were not warm. The topping was room temperature as well. The matcha topping was not consistent. As shown in the photo, you can see it was very watery as if the water and the cream separated. I couldn't taste much match either. The strawberry jam was tasteless. The black sesame seeds could have been a hit. But I don't think they toasted the seeds, hence they didn't do much to the overall taste. I had high expectations for the pancakes since some of the reviews said the sweets were better than the savory mains and the pancake photos uploaded by the restaurant were pretty. Definitely disappointed after trying them out in person. Vibe wise, the store was definitely cute. Playing a movie on Netflix. It was weird tho when I entered, they were playing Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Do not recommend. Will not visit again.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday for brunch. The place is a bit tucked away, so there was a mini-hunt after the uber dropped us off. My dining partner started with a unicorn latte, which was super pretty. It was decorated with lucky charms. I had a sip and enjoyed it. I went with the smoked salmon benedict, and it came with a beet hollandaise that added a beautiful pink hue to the dish. It was colorfully presented and absolutely delightful to eat. I thought the hoodie look on the servers was super cute. Their decor is somewhat sassy. A great place for a girls' brunch!

Yelp
My friends and I were in need of a good brunch spot and Tik tok put me on and didn't steer us wrong. The ambiance is super cute; very instagramable and vibey. The food? Very good. I always try an Eggs Benedict, if it's on the menu to see if it checks out, and it did. I really appreciate that the food was hot. Might sound unnecessary to some, but for me it means a lot! As for drinks, they do have shareable mimosas as well as other cocktails, but didn't seem to have bottomless which isn't the end of the world but notable. Overall, the service was good, nothing out of the ordinary, but just as it should be.

Yelp
Was looking for a last-minute brunch spot to meet some friends and was suggested to try out The Morning After! Came here around 11:15ish on a Saturday morning and there was a bit of a line for people waiting to put their names down. They told us they could seat us inside immediately, or we could wait ~30 minutes to get a spot outside. The wait time wasn't too bad, but we we eventually decided to sit inside because we were sooo hungry :P The decor in the restaurant is super cute both inside and out! We were seated next to a bunch of clase azul tequila bottles, which I thought was funny. Water was brought to our table and consistently refilled by our super friendly waitress throughout our entire visit. We also ordered orange and guava mimosas (the guava was my favorite, it was sweet and bubbly). For my meal, I ordered the "get me to the Greek" eggs Benny. It was a really good eggs Benedict, but the only reason it lost a star is because there weren't really any hints of that "Greek" flavour that I was expecting. I'm not sure if it was actually the right dish, but it was still good for what it was (just not what I was expecting). The chicken and waffles also looked and smelled amazing. If I ever come back, I'd love to try that dish out next!

Yelp
First time here and was greatly impressed by the food . They were extremely busy and I see why . Everything was fresh and cocktails were awesome . We enjoyed the patio seating outside and had ample space and privacy

Yelp
If you need a reason to come here THIS IS IT. The vibes were immaculate. From the service to the food everything was chefs kiss. We felt like we were walking into our friend's home. Asia was the best server gave great recommendations. Great vibes all around!

Yelp
Nice furniture. Always packed! Great service. I was conflicted by the menu but glad I saw it through. Spill the tea was yummy. I really enjoyed the coconut. The matcha soaks right into the pancakes (but not making it soggy) and the compote gives a sweet flavor. Just go for it!

Yelp
Beautiful brunch spot tucked away in a residential condo area. Tasty food, good service, only issue is the music is too loud - especially for a Sunday morning brunch. Maybe I'm just getting older. Highly recommend the pancakes!
