Me and my partner just moved into the Morris and have been loving our unit and the staff and neighbors here. I specifically would like to shout out Madi as our leasing agent and office staff. She’s been professional, grounded, and constructive during the 2 separate tours we had at the Morris She went above and beyond in calling us back to re-tour our perfect unit as soon as it was available. She helped us through all of the questions we had for the month we took to move-in too. I’ve enjoyed the small conversations I’ve had with the other leasing agents, and the Maintenance staff at the building and look forward to more. Our Apartment is lovely with wonderful views and floor to ceiling windows and I rarely hear my neighbors which is fantastic! Overall I’m so satisfied with our experience living here so far and looking forward to re/signing next year to stay ☺️

15 car windows smashed in the morris parking garage this Monday, including mine. Really secure place to live!!!! Watch the attached video to see what your apartment will most likely look like at some point if you choose to live here.I know 4 residence who have had the same experience in the past 3 weeks. The two free months of rent are not worth it!!! My first 4 months at the morris have consisted of a broken A/C Unit, the elevator cord snapped on a woman and her dog who were in the elevator (thankfully the brakes worked after only falling a floor or two) and they hid it from residence, dog poop regularly in the elevator, the water heater 2 doors down from me broke and flooded the apartment and hallway, and tonight the apartment above me had a water heater burst and flooded my entire apartment. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Safe yourself the head ache. Management also told me they would be providing me with information today (the day following the flooding of my apartment) about moisture levels and next steps, but have not been at the building since before noon today. Update: Credit to Brenda, the building manager and the maintenance team for clearing the water and working to get my floors removed so I do not have to worry about mold/mildew growing in the apartment. They were helpful in removing the flood initially and have been very responsive and helpful since the second day after my apartment flooded. The apartment is on it's way back to normal and I appreciate them for that. I am still not confident in the building itself, however the team that works here is doing everything they can to make it right.

I have lived at The Morris for almost 8 years and absolutely love it. We have a very strong sense of community here! Brenda Lee, the property manager and the assistant manager are wonderful. They have an open door policy and encourage all residents to come into the office anytime— very welcoming! I can’t say enough good things about this building and the management!

Google
Absolutely thrilled with my experience at the Morris Apartments in downtown Nashville! Elliott and Tracy are beyond amazing. From the moment I arrived, their professionalism and kindness made me feel right at home. The community is truly wonderful—welcoming, friendly, and well-maintained. The customer service provided by Elliott and Tracy is impeccable; they go above and beyond to ensure every need is met with care and attention to detail. Highly recommend the Morris Apartments for anyone looking for a fantastic place to live in Nashville!

Google
The new management team is fantastic. BRENDA Lee and Jake are extremely helpful and very innovative--since they have been here, positive improvements are being made to the building, we have a lot of community events which in turn, allows all the residents to come together as a community! I will certainly renew my lease for another 15 months!

Google
Two stars because I do like my apartment but this place is so inconsistent and run horribly. The units are nice enough, even if its a little noisy with the thin walls between neighbors. and the building maintance staff is great. The office staff however seems that it changes by the week and the only helpful one is Lexi who is such a sweetheart. It took them weeks to address the issues I was having even after my many attempts to follow up. They dont let you go in the office to ask questions so its hard to get answers to anything. The manager Barbara is only nice when she wants to be but she always just passes you off to her staff. The new assistant manager Jake is as incompetent and lazy as they come and He's very condescending in his emails and I've spoken to a couple neighbors who have the same experience where he blames us for their negligence or ignorance. The location is great, the apartment is great, my neighbors are great. The people who are supposed to run the place? Not so great. If they hired a competent staff I would have rated it higher.

Google
Apartment itself is good. Management I cannot say the same. Double booked the moving elevator on moving day, promised reimbursement due to extended moving time with the movers but no response after that.

Google
I’ve lived here for the past year, and I’ve loved it! The front desk team is very helpful, especially Jules, and the maintenance team has always been quick and helpful with routine maintenance. The apartments are nice and modern with high-quality appliances. The amenities, pool, and fitness center are very clean and well-designed. I will miss living here!

Yelp
I've lived here for the past year and really enjoyed it! The staff has been very helpful, and maintenance is completed quickly with no issues. The apartments are very modern with high-quality appliances, and the pool, fitness area, and common spaces are always clean. I'm going to miss living here so much!

Yelp
Beware of apartments facing the bars!! The noise level at night in the apartments facing 19th Ave/ Division is unbearable. The bass is so loud that no noise-canceling earphones or other solutions help. These would be apartments ending with numbers 15, 17, 19, up to 31, etc. I can imagine numbers 33, 35, and 37 are also badly affected. I reached out to the management, but they were not able to offer me an apartment at a similar rate in a quieter location, I can't afford to pay 300-400 $ more per month, unfortunately.

Li-Ron T.

Yelp
Living here was great until it was time to renew our lease. When the building sent the lease renewal, they increased our rent by a 1000 dollars! after being reassured that our rent will not be increased by more than 5% when we signed the leaese. After we moved out, the morris actually sold the apartment for less then what we paid. They basically forced us out even though we followed all the building's rules and paid our rent on time. Not only did they priced us out, they never gave us our deposit back! It is really difficult to get a hold of the leasing office, and for the 2 times that they finally bothered to answer, they were rude and blamed the delay on a system issue. It's been 5 months since we moved out! This building might seem nice, but for the 1 lease period you get to live there, it's not worth the headache.

Quinn Thomas G.

Yelp
excellent management - had issues with a blind and it was fixed within hours. Lauren was very helpful and friendly when resigning my lease. Also, want to give a shoutout to Dalton on the maintenance team. He fixed it while I was in the apartment, the work was done incredibly fast and he was a great guy to talk to. Thanks Dalton!

Yelp
I lived at the Morris for three years, took great care of my apartment, and often left my apartment for months at a time (aka, there was no great wear and tear from me living there). Before leaving, I had the apartment professionally cleaned. The apartment building then took my entire security deposit and charged me over $300 for cleaning. I know several other tenants who had similar experiences. Additionally, while living there packages were often lost and the building took little to no responsibility. My car was broken into because the gate to the parking garage was broken for over 3 months. When I called them to pull security tapes or ask if I was going to get any rent reimbursement (since, presumably, part of the high cost of the apartment is the security for the garage and building), the leasing office was rude and told me that there was "no way to protect the cars other than have personal guards on each level of the floor." This apartment building attempts to overcharge and take advantage of students who they believe will not notice these unfair and baseless charges, or who they believe won't complain about poor building management. You're better looking elsewhere in Nashville. Their only saving grace is the amazing concierge, Jules.

Julia W.

Yelp
I'm so not the type of person to go out of my way to write a review, but the last 2 months of my lease term at the Morris have been nothing short of a living nightmare. Sadly, I could not in good conscience recommend that anyone live here. The concierge team is fabulous and the location is nice, but that's where my positive experience ends. Around 2 months ago, we started noticing ants inside the apartment. We live on the 7th floor bordering the outdoor terrace area, so we weren't super bothered by this initially-- but unfortunately it quickly became an infestation. I'd come home from work, set down food for my pet, and hop in the shower. Within the 10 minutes I'd be gone, THOUSANDS of ants would swarm the food. Same thing began happening anytime we'd put food out on the kitchen counter to prep dinner. We even started finding ants on our pet and in our beds. The office's response was, "well I'd recommend not leaving food out". To be clear, we were NEVER leaving food out for extended periods of time, but we should be able to eat a meal in our own kitchen without it being infested with pests. It's been completely unlivable and unsanitary. Each time we'd submit a service request, it would be put on hold for a week or two, as the maintenance team "only comes out once every other week". When we reiterated that our apartment was infested with ants to management and we were not getting the attn we need from exterminators, their response was that the exterminator's week-minimum response time was "the industry standard". Like in what world???? I'll attach pictures below of all the ants, but at this point we're two months in with no resolution. It's so unhygenic that I'd feel guilty **not** posting a review to warn future tenants. Don't live here unless you're cool with a completely infested apartment and management that couldn't care less. Beyond that, they did some realllllyyy sketchy stuff with lease renewals a few months ago. Rather than warning tenants ahead of time that "you're almost at 60 days, you either need to give your notice or resign a lease", they waited until within 60 days of the lease ending to then leave a message on the door telling us we'd be charged an insane fee for a month by month lease (it was like $5k or $6k, something crazy), since we didn't give notice/resign when they'd "sent us multiple reminders via email". Ok, that would be fair...if they had actually ever sent reminder emails!! We went back to look on the dates they said they sent us renewal offers, and we **never** received any emails from the Morris on those dates. Upon speaking with other residents in the building, we found out that they did this to everyone and never sent out the renewal offers period. Once we confronted the leasing office with these facts, they immediately backed off. Just felt like super sketchy behavior, and I'd want to know about that if I was the one signing a lease here for the future. The location and amenities are nice, but the management has completely ruined the experience unfortunately.

Yelp
Lived in the Morris from 2018-2021. Pros: amazing concierge service (Jules is the BEST), great amenities, SO CLEAN, building inside has good security. S/o to the maintenance folks, who are so friendly and will go to the ends of the earth to fix anything. Cons: prices definitely starting to go up. More importantly, my car was broken into and the Morris did nothing about it except apologize. Security in the garage could be much improved. At the beginning of my lease most residents were in grad school/early 20s to early 30s. When I left, it seemed like the majority of residents were college kids, a trend I was happy to leave behind. All in all, would recommend the Morris to my Nashville friends.

Yelp
The Morris is an amazing place to live. Not only do you have any open of floor plan to fit your needs, but the amenities are top notch. The complex has a rooftop pool, exquisite lounge areas, great fitness room! Let's also not forget the location! I. The heart of midtown- you get to enjoy plenty of local business but also the town favorites. They are all great, by not the reason for my review. I was in a situation I needed to get out of. I called and was put in contact with Stacey Waters. I called 5 mins before the leasing office closed. She was so help, so attentive and really understood my concerns. She stayed late, and made sure I had everything I needed to sign a lease that night. Not only that, but the following days she was following up with me, and very diligent on making sure everything she could do was completed. I moved in 7 days later, which is very quick- but Stacey was on top of everything. She made me feel so comfortable and home. It was important for me to feel safe, and at home. STACEY DID JUST THAT!

Yelp
The GOOD: Concierge is literally the bomb. Aimee, Jules, Terrance, and Chris literally made my life so much easier. Amenities are nice. Bads of the apartment- small for price. Literally no storage. THE REST: I lived at the Morris for 2.5 years -- essentially when the building opened until July of 2020.2 years ago, I would have given this place 6/5 stars. Everything was great, young professionals in the building, met a ton of amazing people. Rachel, the old manager was AMAZING but once she left, things have gone down hill. They essentially treat all residents like they are college kids. We went to ask questions about a new apartment in December and we deliberately said "we're sorry we are not trying to be difficult, just trying to get all the information" and this person in the office proceeded to tell "well you are, but"... which is just rude and un-called for. Within a week of my boyfriend moving into the Morris, his truck was broken into. The Morris did nothing and also did not notify the residents that cars were being broken into ... AGAIN (My car had also previously been broken into at the Morris). We also called the office on another truck that was broken into and they said they would let that resident know. About 3 weeks later, we saw that resident finally getting her windows fixed. The office didn't notify her at all and her car was full of bugs, dust, and glass. She also does not live at the Morris anymore. During COVID, my boyfriend was relocated to Miami so we put in our notice and got the ball rolling on that. They immediately shut off his key even though we were still paying rent for 2 more months. Office staff is rude and if you go to them with something, they act like you are bothering them. I tried to get ahold of the new manager and to this day he still has not called me back. I hate to leave this review because at one point, I absolutely loved this place. Now it is full of students whose parent's are paying 2k a month for them to live there. I cannot recommend this place less if you are a young professional. Go to 1200 Broadway. Update: GM finally reached out to me after this review.

Yelp
My experience living at The Morris has been nothing short of wonderful. The staff is kind, welcoming, and professional; the amenities are kept in pristine, clean condition, and the location is super walkable and convenient! I have lived here for 4 months now, and my expectations for my new home have been exceeded in each and every area!

Yelp
The views from the Morris are the best in town. It's taller than all the other apartment buildings around (except for one next door on one side), so there is a beautiful view of the Nashville skyline or Vanderbilt's campus. The rooftop pool is gorgeous, and there is a music studio, plenty of workspaces, an event space, and a gym. Everything is excellent, and most areas are open now (except the gym). The rent is more expensive than other apartments nearby. Otherwise, it would be five stars. Overall though, a great place to live in a perfect location.

Adonis S.

Yelp
To say I'm extremely disappointed to have ever rented here is an understatement. Not only is the management incompetent they're also some of the most underhanded and shady people that I've ever met. The building is absolutely beautiful and maintenance is quick and efficient. However, if you have any problems in this building you will NOT be helped. Unfortunately, concierge doesn't even do the bare minimum to actually do their jobs. To elaborate, they let someone up into my apartment without any verification who I have a restraining order against. Unsurprisingly, the building did absolutely nothing to handle the situation and immediately got a lawyer involved to cover themselves. What hurts the most is the way they talk shit in their office about residents, staff and anyone in the building really. If you'd like to get discriminated against, this is the perfect building for you. The unprofessionalism and constant disregard of care for any of the residents in the building is beyond me. To no one's surprise, all they care about is your money and they see you as a dollar sign. Do not live at the morris!

Yelp
I recently moved in with my roommate and we have loved it so far. The staff has been so friendly and calm amid the COVID crisis. They have ensured everyone takes precautions to stay distanced and safe. The rooftop pool and grilling area are so fun and beautiful. I would give it 5 stars but it is slightly pricey compared to similar sized two bedroom apartments in downtown Nashville.

Yelp
I have been here 3 years and many times wanted to write a review due to poor staff training, and poor management (both companies) and utter lack of tact. I also serve in this industry and have for 15 years and have plenty of experience to make an educated comment . First, I will start out saying the maintenance team and the concierge are very good and they make the experience more tolerable. The building stays pretty clean, accept they do not enforce parking. In fact we would have construction for over a year now directly out our windows that would start a 4 am some mornings and 6 days a week. They allowed those workers ,who have nothing to do with our building to take much of our valuable parking and never enforces double parking. My main issues are with the staff. They often have managers there who enjoy having authority over people more then providing good customer service to residents themselves. I've seen this many time in my industry as it pertains to unseasoned managers. If you challenge them on anything that is a concern to you , they will shut you down. I have also had that same experience with the corporate people with the new management company and corporate was here one time during a unpleasant experience. The office staff refuses to give any contact info of their regional manager. It is not uncommon to not give out the phone number due to how many calls a regional manager, could receive, because they have a portfolio of properties. They should provide the email however. I was told on one experience they promised they would have a regional contact me . That has been months now. You make your on decision, but the last two years I have been dissatisfied with my experience.

Yelp
I absolutely love living here! It is my favorite place I've ever lived. I'm originally from Boston so I need that city/neighborhood feel but it is important to me that home also has a serene & calm vibe, & The Morris is just perfect. I pinch myself every day that I can live somewhere within walking distance to everything I need, in a wonderful neighborhood, but that has amenity spaces that are so delightful whether reading a book on the terrace or enjoying dinner on the rooftop where you have incredible views of the city. Even though I've lived in Nashville almost 4 years & feel pretty at home here, I still crave a residence that EXTRA feels like home (knowing your neighbors, the staff feeling like family/friends, overall good humans around & looking out for you) & The Morris exceeds expectations there. I especially saw this when I had some medical issues that really had me down for the count for over a month; everyone went out of their way to check on me, asked if I needed help with anything, & even brought me warm Tiff's Treats after coming home from surgery. The building is kept in excellent condition at all times & it's obvious the staff works hard EVERY DAY to make sure of that. & on top of it, everyone is always with a genuine smile & genuine hello while doing so. It's rare I have a maintenance request but the 1 or 2 times I did, it was taken care of right away. I never had a preference about having a 24 hour concierge, but now that I've experienced it, I realize just how valuable & important it is...the extra layer of safety & security I feel because of it (plus security of packages) as well as feeling like no matter the time, you have a go to person, is awesome. My new pup also appreciates the treats at the concierge desk very much The events here are fabulous! I've lived in other places that had "events" & they can't hold a candle to anything I've attended here. A lot of effort & thought goes into events that we as a community really enjoy & that are well above average, seeming more like an outside event you'd pay to attend, not something just an elevator ride away! The brands/companies The Morris partners with for the events as well as the resident discounts at their establishments, are clearly well thought out & are things you'd actually use/places you'd actually go, but with the added bonus of specials just for us. I am so glad I found The Morris this past February & often joke with my friends I will be the 80 year old lady still living here that says she's been here since her 30s. If there ever was an option to buy, I would do so in a heartbeat. Thanks to everyone who makes The Morris so wonderful!

Jada U.

Yelp
While The Morris apartments seem great at first, there are many underlying issues that only appear after you've been locked into a lease. Overall, the location of the building is amazing and the apartments themselves are nice. However, the overall living environment and community is very unwelcoming. The staff can be extremely rude and unprofessional depending on who you are dealing with and if they decide they don't like you, it can make your experience there very unpleasant. Also, god forbid you ever need a guest parking pass, I wish you the best of luck. The guest parking "amenity" is a complete joke. It's fine if they don't offer guest parking for a resident's visitors, but they shouldn't advertise that they do. In order to acquire one of these coveted spots, your guest must give up their driver's license to the front desk for the duration of their visit. So, this prohibits you from going out to dinner or grabbing a drink. They basically want you to hand over your government identification to a stranger at the front desk. And its especially comforting to know they're taking great precaution with your ID when you and your guest return and have to wait 30 minutes to retrieve it because the desk is unoccupied. When I brought up the issue of handing over my personal identification, the staff so kindly informed me that when guests are visiting me, we shouldn't be going anywhere else and that they're only there to visit me in my apartment. And if paying over 2K in rent isn't enough to have access to an advertised amenity for a few hours, they threaten a $250 fine on your account if you don't return a piece of plastic to the front desk. My BIGGEST WARNING is to pay careful attention to WHICH EXACT UNIT you are going to be living in. My specific apartment location started out very nicely. However, we quickly realized our apartment came with ZERO privacy. Our specific unit is located above a floor where individual units have private patios that extend past our apartment. This means that at any given time, multiple apartment units have a clear view straight into our bedrooms from only a few feet away. I have to constantly keep my blinds closed unless I want people staring at me in my own bed. So those nice floor to ceiling windows are pointless. Additionally I HIGHLY RECOMMEND making sure your apartment DOES NOT FACE Kenect (another apartment building next door). Kenect keeps their pool spotlights on throughout the entire night until the morning, so if you like sleeping in the dark, well good luck. The Kenect pool patio also causes issues with noise at night. They sometimes fail to tie up the curtains on their cabanas, so during high winds (which happens quite often here in Nashville), the curtains are banging against the metal, making it sound like construction is going on at 2am. And most importantly, if you don't like staring at a bunch of college kids drunk at the pool, then I would make sure you're not living on the Kenect building side. Only last week, my guests and I had the luxury of watching one of their residents throw up into a paper bag onto their patio and leave it there for days after. Not exactly the view you want from your living room. So overall, apartments themselves can be nice depending on which one you get, but there are definitely better options with just as good of a location where you won't be treated as poorly.

Yelp
We just moved into the Morris and could not be happier. Kiki made the process of moving from out of state so easy! We couldn't have been more impressed by her professionalism! The apartment is amazing! The bathtub is delightful! We got a studio with a bedroom/ no window in the bedroom, I have not slept this well in years!

Yelp
Okay .. I am an ENTHUSIAST of this building. After 6 years of living in Nashville, this is by far my favorite place I've ever lived. I've been living at The Morris for a couple of months now and absolutely love it. I toured tons of new apartment buildings in the Midtown, Downtown, 12South and Green Hills areas. Without a doubt, this community stands out. Not only is the design and building itself stunning, but it truly is an amazing community of professional, conscientious, and fun people. The staff is kind, attentive, and eager to help. There is 24/7 concierge, a great leasing team, and an amazing Morris Cares team that make each resident feel welcomed and like they are an important part of the community. And if you needed extra incentive... the location is perfect. You can walk to anything in Midtown. The amenities are unreal - a penthouse gym, rooftop pool with city views, work pods, music studio, etc. 10/10 would recommend. :)

Yelp
I recently moved into the Morris and it has been an absolute dream. The staff truly does take care of every need and makes you feel at home. The 24-concierge and the rest of the amenities are also unbeatable. Dede, Stacy, and the rest of the leading staff are so kind and value customer service above all else! 10/10 recommend The Morris!

Yelp
The Morris is hands down the best apartment community in Nashville. The facilities are amazing, and the amenities are incredible!

Yelp
I've been here for nearly a year and will absolutely renew my lease. The building is incredibly well maintained and managed, the community actually feels like a community, and the concierge team is made up of awesome humans who are all friends now (Kiki I'm so glad you're still part of the Morris fam).

Yelp
Best apartment complex in Nashville hands down. Rachel and the entire staff at The Morris are very easy to work with and very professional. Not to mention some of the best amenities in the city. Highly recommend signing here.

Yelp
The Morris is gorgeous, inside and out! As soon as you walk in the lobby, you are greeted by the friendliest concierge in Nash, Jules! Stop by the office and say hi to the leasing team, they are awesome! The apartments are insanely pretty and the floor to ceiling windows give each room an amazing view of the city! I'm lucky enough to face the 7th floor terrace, which is the perfect spot to hang and grill or play ping pong! So many restaurants are nearby so grabbing coffee, a happy hour drink, any kind of food or dessert is super simple. Another plus to living at The Morris is that it's dog friendly and it's location is perfect for taking my pup on long walks down Music Row or through Vandy.

Yelp
I've lived here for over a year, and love it!! Hayden in maintenance and Kiki in the leasing office are the reason why this apartment is so great! Amazing events, friendly concierge, and safe environment. Best place I've ever lived in Nashville

Yelp
What a phenomenal experience! We were looking for a 15 month lease in Nashville, and though we know the area well, we faced disappointment and obstacles in our search. UNTIL we found the Morris. We were fortunate enough to have the pleasure of meeting Stacy Waters , who helped make our decision an easy one. The property is clean, safe, beautiful and full of amenities. Everything is meticulously maintained and is kept 100% up to date! Stacy was absolutely wonderful from our initial meeting, to lease signing and maintaining very helpful and involved approaching our move in day. She is a wonderful representative for The Morris and The Morris residents! We can't wait for the next 15 months!! Thank you Stacy!

David P.

Yelp
From the concierge to the leasing office - this process was an breeze! Samantha was absolutely amazing in taking care of both my girlfriend and I. She was understanding and patient when listening to what we were looking for. Finishing up our lease and excited to move in come August !

Yelp
I can start out this review by saying this building is gorgeous. The details from the lobby all the way up to the top floor are truly amazing. Unfortunately, the construction next door has completely ruined any positive feelings we had about living here. It starts early in the morning and often goes late into the night. We are aware that there is construction all over booming Nashville, but it is loud and the street right outside of our complex is often closed. There is an alley in the back of the building that is nice to use but as of recently, it is often blocked with a large vehicle or trailer. It's a maze just figuring out how to get into the garage. Again its a gorgeous building and a great location but not worth all of the construction mayhem that has gone on this past year.

Emma M.

Yelp
I've lived at The Morris for about 2 weeks now and only have good things to say. The building is beautiful and in a perfect location, and the staff are amazing! I haven't interacted with any staff members that didn't blow me away with how friendly and helpful they are. The building feels very secure, with multiple resident-only checkpoints. There's a rooftop pool with beautiful views of the city. I would definitely recommend anyone to come check it out if you're looking to live in a gorgeous building in the heart of Nashville.

Yelp
I moved into the Morris and there is a strict no drugs policy but within a week of moving in my neighbor offered me drugs. Then I asked to move out and they hit me with a cancellation fee of $2000.
