The Mucky Duck Bar

A surprisingly good experience. We were recommended this place over ‘lion and the crown’ by friends in the area and enjoyed our food and the overall bar atmosphere. The bar was attentive and playing solid music at a tolerably loud volume. It’s lit like most bars and is clean on tables and floors. The service is fast and consistent. The food was surprisingly thoughtful and generous. I recommend the fries and burger.

Been here twice in the last two weeks. Met all female bartenders. All are great, one smoking hot, other 2 strong 7s. Cook great guy. Patio out back can smoke cigars. TVs, roomy, nice lay out.

Second time coming here and have ordered food both times. I thought the food was just really good the first time because I had a few drinks. Went back again and had the food early on and it was just as good - best bar food around. Great selection of beers and the bartenders are always very friendly and quick. Classic pub atmosphere with good music that is loud enough to hear but quiet enough you can comfortably hold a conversion. Great place to get a drink and /or food.

I like to get takeout burgers from here. They always hit the spot and are ready quickly. It seems like a cozy and inviting atmosphere. They’re friendly even when it’s busy. :)

I usually come here just for a beer or two. It’s a nice spot to just hang out with friends and they do have live music sometimes. I went on a Saturday night around 9ish, there was 2 ladies working at the time, it wasn’t super busy but it was busy enough for them. Those ladies killed it, they were hitting every table and were very attentive. I ordered Queso, wings and a pretzel, food was good! I also ordered a green tea shot and I had 2 beers. I’m going to keep coming here.

Absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere, great bartenders, great food! Come out on Thursday nights for some epic Karaoke!

I don't eat out a lot anymore just because it has gotten so expensive! but I come here almost every week for taco Tuesday. The beef tacos are so good, and for $3.00 such a great deal! I've also come here on a Monday and got a chicken bacon ranch sandwich that came with a side of tots for $9.00 You can't beat the deals and the staff is always pleasant! I would definitely recommend.

I rate this place a 5/5 for many reasons. My review may be a little biased because my group of friends and I are regulars here but we all enjoy coming by the Mucky Duck. The bartenders are great and will remember you orders if you come through enough. Shout out to JJ who always helps us out when we are there. In terms of bar food their food is yummy! Definitely get some appetizers to share like the chicken totchos, loaded fries, chips and queso, black bean nachos, or even the pretzel. Everything pairs well with one of the many beers they have on tap. Main meal wise, they do pretty well too! I like the southwest chicken wrap and the bacon ranch chicken sandwich. Also if you are looking for a fun time with friends, come by on a Wednesday evening to take part in the 8pm trivia hosted by Joel! (Who is also the best). There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and last. We've won a few times over the last year or so!

Wednesday night trivia is so much fun! The food is delicious and the drinks are great. My favorite is the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The vibe laid back and casual. Cool place to unwind and have fun.

This was a typical pub experience. I felt mildly sketched out, hard to say why, but all in all it was better than expected. We sat ourselves, uncertain if that was the way to do it, and it was pretty quiet on a Saturday night. They asked if we wanted food or just drinks, and we opted for a food menu. There was no beverage menu. "We have pretty much anything you'd want," the waitress said. "What do you like?" This is a hard question for me to answer in a pub. Im not really a beer person and the menu usually inspires me. Thankfully, she listed off a Moscow Mule as a possibility, and that sounded good. I was certain it would be made with a heavy pour, and while it might have been, it didn't taste like it. It was well made. My husband doesn't drink, and I think he got an unsweetened iced tea. We ordered some wings and tater tots. The waitress helped us decide on flavors of wing sauces (mango habanero and lemon pepper). They were both good. My husband loved the tater tots, but he's doing the keto thing and only at a literal two. After eating all the rest myself, I can say they taste good, but they're more oil than potato. I think if you're just looking for a beer and a place to watch sports, this is your jam.

One thing that really bugs me about restaurants is that they keep pictures from years ago that are no longer relevant. Mucky Duck has great reviews, but much of the food that they are showing no longer exists on the menu. There were four of us and we tried the chicken tachos, the burger, and the tacos. The food was good, the chicken tachos are supposedly a very popular dish but the flavor was missing something and the boneless chicken wings were not great. The service was excellent and ambience is fun, they only had one person serving the whole place and she was killing it, so kudos to her. Maybe most of the reviews are for their drinks and ambience, the food was 3 star.

We went for trivia night with a group. Great vibe. One of the bartenders, taller blond, definitely had an attitude problem. Every time we ordered something she would roll her eyes. When she brought the drinks over she slammed them down, spilling some of it. We thought maybe it was just our group but she treated everyone seated at the bar the same as well. I'm pretty sure everyone in the reviews are talking about the same bartender. Great fries. Chicken tenders were very burnt.

I'm impressed with how faithfully this place met my expectations...and didn't, in all the best ways. Atmosphere It looks like a dive in the middle of suburban America. It could be if it didn't exceed the spirt of an Irish pub. From the first door you enter, it was very thoughtful about every inch of then space. Food It's unfortunate the food is not great, as it's a super convenient option. The meal selection is basically a burger or sandwich. Neither is anything to write home about...or write a great review for. Service This depends on your expectations and preference. The waitress act like they're too busy to care, even when you're the only two people there. There's an indifference to taking your order or delivering food. I would say 1 star because it's significantly below expectations but, the service may be exactly what you're looking for. Like an Uber driver that talks too much.

I came for trivia night and had a lot of fun! The wait staff was very courteous and attentive, and I never had to think about drinks or food (more brain space for trivia!). However, I was extremely disappointed that none of the indoor tables are wheelchair-accessible. As a wheelchair user, the experience would have been much more inclusive and fun if I hadn't had to transfer to a high-top chair.

What a joke. Don't get me wrong. The food is actually very good. Whomever is running the kitchen knows what they are doing. But the rest of the place is a #+*%= Show. The bartender/waitresses are confused. Nice but clueless. I made a reservation on THEIR website for 4 people to watch a football game. When we got there they didn't have a clue what we were talking about nor (obviously) did they have a table for us. There was 20 tv's but only 15 worked and the game we wanted had to wait for other games to get done on tv's that were being used. The food was good, the drinks were awful. The worst pineapple rum I've ever had. I asked for a diet soda instead- obviously from a bar soda gun- disgusting - Undrinkable. And again while the food was good, We ordered appetizers and ordered egg rolls and queso with chips. We got a pretzel and queso and when we said we didn't order a pretzel she said we'll a lot of people order the pretzel and walked off. We won't be back!

The Mucky Duck has got to be one of my new favorite places!!! Y'all I cannot get enough of these tots. I mean look at them. It was literally so delicious...Lawd!! After our Topgolf adventures we went to Mucky Duck and I experienced a little bit of heaven Y'all, this food was too good. I can't even lie!!! My favorite was the Chicken Totchos. Here's what we ordered. 1. Chicken Totchos CRISPY TATER TOTS, BONELESS WINGS, MELTED CHEESE, BACON, CHIVES & JALAPENOS WITH A BUFFALO & RANCH DRIZZLE 2.Buffalo Chicken Wraps GRILLED OR CRISPY CHICKEN, MIXED GREENS, TOMATOES,MIXED CHEESE & RANCH DRESSING

If you love passive aggressive bartenders, stale chips, swarming fruit flies and a boring atmosphere, this is your go to place! I went there during my last visit to Dallas with two friends, and the bar tender Jessica came in with a bad attitude. She decided to throw us out for no reason, because she apparently didn't want to be at work that day. We spoke with the manager, and she said she had to close out our tab because it was easier to have us leave than to lose her only bar tender. This seems like a bad way to run a business, and we definitely won't be back anytime soon!

Great bar....great food. The people that bitch about lack of a mask...in a bar....are in fact idiots. Stay home...why would you go to a bar if your really concerned about getting ill. Stay home and trade herpes with your partner.

Despite having a "MASK REQUIRED UPON ENTRY" sign on the front door, NO ONE was wearing masks. INCLUDING staff. It was alarming. Neither me or my husband felt self. Did not see any sanitation. Staff allowed parties intermingle between separate group. Friendly and great staff, don't get me wrong. Drinks were banging. But... no health precautions??? Mmm....

Erin was great. Attentive and nice and made it a perfect experience. Good vibes, good happy hour, good food, great drink specials. Highly recommend. I will be back to watch a football game and to try more food. Low key bar with great people.

I absolutely LOVE this place. It's real chill, affordable, great drinks, & great food!! We got 3 vodka Red Bulls, 1 lemon drop martini, and chicken totchos appetizer all for about 45 bucks!! That appetizer was BOMB, compliments to the chef seriously!! Bartender is so freaking sweet & attentive!! We will definitely be going back very soon!! Truly a gem hidden in the Addison circle!!

Great setting, typical neighborhood pub. Good music, drinks and staff. They have food but we didn't try any.

The best bar in Addison. They have a nice outdoor area with seats and a few TVs. They have karaoke and trivia. Highly recommend. Bartenders are amazing & remember our orders. Great food too.

It's a chiller vibe, younger crowd. The waitstaff is friendly and on top of their game. Down side is it's really loud! So not a great place for a first date or conversations.

I came here on Wednesday for 1/2 priced fish and chips and trivia night. The trivia is fun. The fish and chips were a little greasy but worth the price since it was half off. They have a large selection of beer. Prices are fair.

My husband and I visited this place around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were looking for a place that had a happy hour on Saturday, which they did! Out waitress was very attentive. She came back to check on us regularly. We never went without a drink. I ordered the bleu cheese burger with fries. Their fries were very crispy. They burger was very tasty. My husband got the fish and chips. It came with 3 good sized fish fillet. We also ordered the pretzel with cheese and spicy mustard. So good! Our beers were very cold. They have a nice sized patio out back that is covered. Inside there were plenty of areas to sit. They had a pool table. Their bar was a nice size. Multiple TVs to watch and good music. We will definitely be back!

I love dive bars. I especially love dive bars with good food and cheap drinks. We came on a Friday where happy hour is from 3-8. This means 3.50 wells, drafts, and $5 apps. 3.50 stella? Oh yea. Even have guiness for 3.50! Beers were cold which seems to be harder to find nowadays. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. We ordered the skillet nachos, the southwest egg rolls, and the pretzel dogs. Everything I ate was good. Not like 5 star restaurant good, but great for a dive bar. The place filled up quickly, and has a diverse crowd. Majority of people were 28+.

The atmosphere here is comfy. I love that they have televisions with different programming such as movies, sports, etc. They also have an outdoor patio which I keep forgetting about but will try to remember next time. It has a wooden cabin or tavern feel to it. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are always on top of things and making sure customers are happy. It's something that is rare to see at most restaurants nowadays. The food is also amazing. I love getting the appetizer sampler to share with friends. I could probably eat the whole thing as the main course. I also love their fish and chips. I'm not a fan of the sliders but the other menu items make up for it. I will keep coming back and bringing my friends.

The best pub in Addison. Typical bar food: burgers clubs, chicken sandwiches and salads that can be served as wraps but they are all really good. Theres not many options on the desert menu but it's okay (I'm always full by desert time) Great appetizers and service as well. Parking is easy - streets and parking garage

Came here to have a beer, and ended up having dinner. There are TVs around, but watching a game was tough by the trivia night, which although not my thing, was fun. Beer selection was good, and food is typical greasy bar food but not bad, not great either. I was seated at the bar, and one bartender was good, the other might be in training as she was struggling to make drinks.

Best place to come from out of state and the head bartender,she made me feel like I knew her for ever! Food was great service was on point and if your ever in this part of Texas you need to see this lil woman running it! Erin will take care of you and make you fell like your at home!

First time visiting Mucky Duck and I enjoyed it! I went during happy hour on a Friday night (during game 4 of the 2019 NBA FINALS) and it wasn't that crowded or loud! I know it has potential to get rowdy, though! The food was DELICIOUS and the drink specials were great! They seem to have pretty good HH offerings daily and on Fridays they extend the happy hour by 1 hour, until 8pm. It's in a great area of town too! It's in Addison circle, and outside seating is available. The only reason I'm not giving Mucky Duck five stars is because our server (don't know her name, she never gave it) was DRY and detached not blatantly rude...just......not nice at all either. But overall, nice place!

A solid bar and grill in the Addison area if you happen to be nearby. The fish and chips and southwest rolls are a standby for my coworkers and I during the weekdays. Their happy hour specials are also great.

I live right down the street and this is the second time trying them out. I come in for a beer and some food and can not get service. It's never a packed place when I come but bartenders don't care about tables and there is no one else. Left 30 minutes later after never getting checked on after asking for my beer which I got and a menu and never checked back on. Was excited to try the torches... oh well. On to AP bar where I know I'll get friendly service!

Not a single mask in sight. The bartender (and only person working there) was NOT wearing a mask, not even trying. Absolutely no social distancing. People were standing and moving between groups. Mask requirement was not enforced at all. Really shocking and disappointing. Don't think this place should be allowed to operate if they can't take public health seriously.

This bar didn't earn a 4 just because I wasn't wowed by the experience or atmosphere. It's a nice place and the wait staff was very prompt and timely so I have no complaints. I ordered fish and chips, the potstickers, and a Guinness. Potstickers were the typical yank from a bag and fry covered in some kinda sauce, the fish and chips were crispy but a tad oily, and the Guinness was perfect. I went on a Monday so there was plenty of parking and seating so I wouldn't be able to judge a busy night crowd. The signage indicates trivia night and some pretty good deals so definitely ask what specials they have going on.

Great little bar with awesome drink specials all week long! Not many places you can get a draft Black Velvet or any specialty beers for $3.50. They also offer Happy Hour on the weekends, which most places don't dream of doing.There is also daily specials on food, live trivia and a free taco bar one day a week. Staff is always on top of everything and get you what you need in a timely manner. One of my fav places to stop by on my way home to grab a few beers and a bite to eat. Cheers!

Literally shitty place to hangout. I'm visiting this bar since bar since last two years and having very similar experiences. Bartenders have full authority from owners to ban anyone from the bar they don't like. Bartenders get drunk during their shift and mostly act weird. Don't get surprised if you get charged for bartender's fav customer's check.. Management need to take some steps to fix then place.

Was told the wings were really good...so I ordered the 10 pc. $12. Extra $2 for all drums. Ummm, no. And for $12 I would expect to get a full 10 pc. Not pic below. And I really wanted to love them, but there was just not much flavor. Parm Garlic and Lemon Pepper....eh. Great beer selection and staff was really nice and helpful. Just no go on the wings.

Mucky duck is the absolute best. The food is top notch. The beer selection is the best. And the best part is the staff! When you walk in, sit at the bar and maybe you'll earn the privilege to talk to Matt, the fist slinging, drink flinging wild western bar tender of the modern west. Come pay it a visit and you will leave a better person

I recommend this tucked-away neighborhood gem! Food was great, service was great, and the cozy outdoor covered patio in back was just what we were looking for! My wife and I had a fabulous experience! Thanks for that Mucky Duck! We'll definitely be back soon!

The Mucky Duck Bar (say that 10 times fast!) used to be Zen like 5 years. Not much has changed. Pretty much the same décor (a little tweaking here and there) and, being that it's located in Addison Circle, it wasn't surprising to see some family faces from over a decade before. It's just that way in this area for whatever reason...umerm. Decent 80s jams play throughout. Think soft metal. Rock out with your c&^k out! Smoking is permitted on the back patio and they have space heaters out during cooler weather. The patrons are pretty chill during the week, but can get a bit rowdy on the weekends. Live DJ on Fri & Sat from 10-close. I guess I'm just getting too old for the "scene" - but wait, those "same" peeps have gotten old too. To each their own! One plus for me is they have a bright shiny new hi-def "crack box" (aka Mega Touch Game Machine) at the end of the bar - love me some trivia (takes cash or credit; live trivia on Wednesdays). Mucky obviously resets the machine every night, so you get loads of bonus rounds. Score! And, even on a busy night (which are most nights), getting a drink isn't too tricky. The bartenders are attentive enough. Just have to get their attention with wave of hand and not a boob shot like in the old days. ;) My husband was so glad he didn't have to show off his mobs to the female tender - and she was probably even more thrilled (without knowing it). Lol. Good happy hour hang: Friday HH goes all the way from 3-8pm on Fridays; and they also have weekend HHs: Sat from 3-8, and $3 draughts, wells, and other select shots (e.g., Fireball) all 3 bucks a pop on Sundays! Mucky Duck's has a pretty decent selection of beers (draught, bottle, and even can). Note: The lady's room is N.A.S.T.Y. - so try not to "break the seal." Ew, gross, just so gross. Decent place to catch a cheap drink, but no way I would eat food here. Sorry, thank you.

My girlfriend and I drooped in one night and enjoyed ourselves. It's a small-ish, cozy, comfy neighborhood bar, ideal for a lowkey evening. Rachel provided prompt and cheerful service, and the bar fare was tasty. Well recommended for a chill night out.

Great hometown bar! I love the feel and atmosphere, plus daily drink and food specials makes it a no brainer. With the best staff, including Addison Magazine's 2019 Favorite Bartender, Rachael, and loyal regulars, it quickly became my Cheers. Definitely worth a visit.

I went to Mucky Ducks with some friends last weekend and they double charged my credit card.Once I noticed I called on Tuesday and was told the manager would call me Wednesday morning. No one ever called me so I called again Wednesday afternoon and talked to the manager who told me she would call me later that night. AGAIN no one called me so I called again this afternoon and was told I would be called back once the manager got in, yet AGAIN no one called me. This was the most unprofessional experience I have had with a place of business. You would think they would help me correct a mistake they made with my payment..

Came here to watch game 4 of the NBA Finals and the DJ was playing so I couldn't hear the game. Found a table with my group of people and I had to find a waitress. She was not friendly but she was a young skinny long hair blonde girl. Either her or the cook got my burger wrong and the girl who brought my food out told the mgr Russ and he came over to my table. He apologized and told me he was going to fix my meal and it was FREE. I greatly appreciated that. He was very friendly and understanding. The atmosphere is cool. Pretty small but nice atmosphere. Bathroom was clean which is always a plus. I didn't order drinks since I was buzzing already but the water was good lol. I would go back to this place again to see what another night there is like.

Not impressed by anything there, it was just fine. I ordered the turkey bacon pesto sandwich. It served on white bread with shredded lettuce and sliced turkey. I could have made it home.

Really relaxed atmosphere, really delicious appetizer menu. Great place to relax and catch up with friends after work.

It's decent. They offer the staples.. table service takes your order.. beers on draft. I have a hard time saying anything special about this bar. I've been here a few times now and several times have had my order forgotten and/or ignored. The food itself is pretty mediocre and takes a long time. The location is good being in the heart of it all but I have a hard time recommending a place that's claim to fame is being beneath an expensive apartment complex. Weigh your options.
