7 of the best new cafés in Siem Reap - SilverKris

"A Melbourne-inspired pâtisserie and brunch spot run by self-taught baker Dieng Dorm, offering an array of muffins, cakes, eclairs, brownies, cookies, baguettes and generous sandwiches with vegan options. The concept stresses eco-friendly, plastic-free values—furniture made from recycled wood—while the house-made doughs and whipped batters aim to evoke childhood aromas and homestyle flavours; cozy seating and unobtrusive service make it a popular spot for brunch and pastries." - Jonathan Evans

I wanted to grab some quick and light breakfast somewhere. I was craving for some baked goods, and so I stopped over here to get a vegan blueberry muffin. It was nice, fluffy and tasted good. Other options sounded good too, but I mainly wanted the muffin. Friendly service. They had free wifi access, which I used a bit. Good speed. There were plenty of vegan, vegetarian and/or gluten-free options, which were well-marked and labelled in the menu.

Incredible food as well as service. I have eaten in the cafe and ordered online and both are excellent and indistinguishable. I had the best raspberry and white chocolate muffin I’ve ever had, delicious and warm. Savoury food is incredible too and lots of vegetarian options which is amazing. I’m here for a few more days and will definitely be back.

I pop in here once or twice a week for some healthy takeaway. I love their lentil salad, it's consistently delicious and served with some flat bread. Their new menu items include an incredible chicken avocado salad which is now one of my favorites. Friendly and welcoming staff, clean and westernized dining. Of course, their muffins and sweets are top notch as well, but I frequent the restaurant for their salads, sometimes their ham and cheese toasty and they make a great coffee too. Don't let the name fool you, they offer much more than just muffins! Incredible food options for those looking to stay healthy or those looking to treat themselves with something sweet.

The story made the food sweeter!! After good ratings on gmaps, we decided to check it out. The story of the patron was quite touching. This carried into the food and made every bite satisfying. The lemongrass tea was intense and delicious after the rich sweetness of the almond vanilla cake. Yummy muffins and great sandwiches. A recommendation for siem reap indeed.

We went twice during our 4 day trip. I appreciate he is the muffin man however, the cheesecakes are so amazing. We tried the marble and the chocolate and both were insane, not too sweet, and yet so creamy and rich!! The apple cake was also lovely. The gentleman that runs the shops has a lovely story behind the now franchise. Highly recommend!!!

The Muffin Man is such a good spot to relax and enjoy an Iced Cafe Mocha paired with a Chocolate Muffin—both were good. The staff was attentive, making the experience better. On the downside, it was noisy, and the food portions were small and expensive, but I think some cozy cushions, plants, and larger portions could really help.

I love the story behind Muffin Man and how inspiring the owner. There is a good choice of foods to choose from. The muffins & cheesecakes are addictive! We ate here twice in Siem Reap and ate in the Phnom Penh store twice also.
