Pretty cool knickknacks and collection of oddities. However, it is a small place so your visit will be fairly speedy. They have a walk through museum that you pay. It goes by pretty fast and for the price it's not bad. Some cool stuff regarding horror and collections. It has an interactive piece for an additional few dollars. Worth a visit if you are horror buff

Google
A very cool spot clearly run by passionate people. It's part shop, part museum, and divided into a few parts: you have the horror movie shop, with posters, memorabilia, and props. Then you have the oddities shop with more historical specimens, "real" horrors rather than those of the screen. The museum, which is $20 each, is fairly small but charming. There are a handful of areas themed after popular horror movies, and each area has some fun little animations you can activate using a knife "key" for an additional $8. Finally, my favorite room is the Seance room, which is full from floor to ceiling with vintage Ouija boards, texts, and other occult works. All in all it's a pretty quick but dense experience for any horror fan.

This was such an amazing experience! The moment I stepped into the store, it felt like Halloween. The interior and decorations are incredibly well-designed and thought through. The staff member there was super friendly and did a fantastic job explaining the exhibition. I loved seeing Jennifer’s body displayed; it’s one of my all time favorite movies. After checking out the exhibition, I explored the items for sale, and let me tell you, they’re the cutest things ever! I thought the ticket price of $20 was totally worth it. While the exhibition isn’t the longest, it’s a must see for any horror fan! I would definitely return on my next visit to LA! 10/10!

Google
Excellent horror theme shopped and photo area! For $20 (and a little bit extra for a souvenir knife that kicks off special effects) you get to enter the back museum area which rotates different photo ops. Well worth it, you aren't rushed through and get to really soak in the creativity put into each of these sets. It was really warm in the back however so be sure to set your makeup if you're dressing extra witchy for the shots. The gift shop had a lot of great spooky themed trinkets to take home (and some great practical effects goodies too if that's your jam!)

I was visiting California on a work trip and I saw this place and just had to stop in. I'm glad I did what a cool and unusual place. Very unique and they had great displays. It was also interactive and you could get through the whole place and probably 90 minutes. It was reasonably priced and I even bought their T-shirt!

We came to the store on February 10th and we fell in love with this store! the employees are extremely nice my friend wanted something specific to the store that was too big to fit in our suitcases and the employees agreed to mail the frame to her (we are from Canada) and she received her frame today! to add if you are people who like magic, witchcraft whatever go to this store! also without forgetting their museum is really too well done!

Always try and visit at least once a month to see what new exhibits they have. A favorite hang out in Burbank If you're into anything spooky-ookey!

Such great spooky exhibits . Plenty of parking and plenty of nearby attractions. Get your nerd on with plenty of place to check out .

Yelp
This place has been forever on my list of places to go to. I have no excuse for how long it's taken me to make my way over there. Once I heard about their installation TLC, I had to attend. I arrived and parked about a block away in a residential area. I stood in line to scan my tickers and pay for the interactive knife for the displays. Honestly hands down one of the best horror museums I have ever seen. Not only is this a museum but they also have a shop with a variety of different horror merch. In the museum there is a lot of photo ops and interactive displays. Its a fun time and a great walkthrough. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I've seen they have special events from time to time as well food trucks. Definitely a place to keep on your radar if you're into all things Halloween!

Yelp
I came to this place from tiktok and it's a little misleading. While I did have a good experience. I wouldn't really call this place a museum. I kind of left disappointed because I went in having high expectations. Overall though, it was a good experience. I would say that the total cost of everything wasn't worth it. So you pay $20 for the entrance fee and you can pay extra for an interactive knife. To be honest the experience without the knife would've been dull. For $20, I feel like it should have come with the knife. I don't think I would come back again, I don't think that it is worth the price.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. The items they have here are fun to look at The staff is soooooo friendly even when u call for questions. The value varies. However I come for the exhibits which are $20 I love the decor inside and outside the store

Yelp
I've heard about this place forever and I finally stopped in. There is so much to discover in the shop! This would be a great place to buy a gift for the horror fans in your life. I also got the chance to check out the museum and it was such a unique experience. I loved all of the photo ops and how interactive the displays are. If you pay an additional amount, you can get a key that actually activates some of the displays which is cool! The museum is not super big, so you can really take as long or as little time as you want going through it. The person who was at the shop on the day I went was super friendly and answered all of my questions happily. I would recommend checking out the Mystic Museum if you are in the Magnolia Park area! It would even be a fun place for a date.

Yelp
We checked out the new exhibit Total Grotesque Live (grand opening this past weekend). You enter the museum store, buy tickets at the register, and the exhibit entrance is located at the back of the shop (the worker monitors entry one party at a time). Staff provided great service, swiftly helping us with our transaction, and explaining the rules and how things work. Coming on a Monday, it wasn't crowded or uncomfortable, so we got to fully enjoy our experience here, especially since the sets in the museum were made with quality decor and props. With ten interactive horror scenes, it was worth the extra eight bucks to get the plastic knife that allowed us to stab certain points of the exhibits to activate sound and visual effects, a bit of animatronics too. My fave was the Conjuring set filled with haunted objects and the creepy Nun painting with its evil eyes. This particular display had multiple activations, one which made the Annabelle doll temporarily disappear from the case in the haunted room. Loved the iconic music of classic horror flicks adding to the vibe and excitement, like the Michael Myers Halloween theme song. We ended in the seance parlor filled with ouija boards, fortune teller machines, and more (I believe this is a temporary exhibition as well, but l'm not totally sure). That's what's cool about this place, they change up the immersive exhibits and hold fun little events occasionally, so you can return time and time again to experience something new. Note, no bags/purses are allowed in the museum but they can hold it for you at the store's ticket counter for free. I wouldn't say this place offers the best value for admission since you can get through all of the exhibits fairly quickly and it's not as entertaining if you're not into selfies or IG. We still enjoyed our time here though.

Yelp
The store was interesting with many different oddities and novelty items. I will definitely be back. However, it shines with its exhibit. The "Total Grotesque Live" exhibit was fantastic! It's definitely worth the $8 activation knife. It's eight rooms decorated to the hilt to match scenes from some of our collective favorite horror films. It was the highlight of my horror day out with my family. It's impressive for a small outfit like the museum to get it so right, but keep your expectations reasonable. We have so many pictures and reaction videos from that day. Thank you Mystic Museum and thank you to the super helpful host.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times in the past two years, the selection of oddities and horror themed goodies are an absolute treat! I'm happy to say that I've even adopted a couple of pieces for my personal collection that I adore and cherish. Staff has always been really kind, and I always left smiling. However this last experience left me with a little bit of a yucky taste in my mouth. I'd visited the museum previously and had been really excited to take my partner as the last time I went (high school reunion) the sets and photo opportunities were so whimsical and cheeky!! We even payed extra for the knife to get the interactive stuff because I remembered how fun it was for me in the past. I was really excited to check out the new exhibits. Don't get me wrong the new stuff is gorgeous and you can tell a lot of work went into it, I really liked the conjuring section, but the soul felt missing. The thing that really ruined it for me was the use of AI in some of the sets. I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt that perhaps the owners just aren't aware of the damage that comes with AI, and I'm hoping maybe with this review they will take a step back and look into it. But in a city where talent is behind every door it's a pity to cut corners like that instead of hiring an extra local artist to help bring the vision to life and instead tossing the small details to a machine. I'm sure a lot of horror fans will agree with me when I say that horror and AI should never go hand in hand, it takes away from what makes it so charming. The small details were what brought so much magic to the last exhibit in my opinion. It just left me heartbroken and ruined the entire experience for me, I wish I spent that money on literally anything else, the tickets are not cheap lol. But it is what it is I suppose, do with this information what you will.

Yelp
I'll just get straight to the point. For anyone that is reading this review, the "mystic museum" is NOT a museum. It's about 4-5 different rooms of horror props with a promised "interactive experience", except most of the interactive experiences either didn't work or were incredibly lame. So, technically you're really just walking around and taking pictures... for $20. LOL. I mean I paid $15 the day I went which was still overpriced if you ask me. I'm not sure why the owners won't take the "museum" part out of the name because it's pretty misleading. When I heard Los Angeles had a "horror museum" I was pretty thrilled as that would've been amazing to get a chance to learn about the history of some of my favorite horror icons along with their respective movies. Instead, I was met with different rooms that boasted nothing more than cheesy, cheap, outdated props. Btw, the theme was "horror high" but the real horror was how every room just kept falling flat. It was funny because as I was walking through that sad little place, I just kept imagining what I would've done to make it nicer. Maybe y'all should've hired me cause that place is empty for a reason The only people I can see this place appealing to is kids under 14. If this was harsh, good! Get a grip of yourselves and stop overcharging for a medicore experience. Yuck.

Yelp
The Mystic Museum store is a great place to shop for an unusual gift - they have creepy relics like animal bones and Victorian death tintypes, as well as brand-new merchandise: horror movie themed wares and generically spooky items like incense, crystals, candles. There are three parts to the shop: Camp Horror, the main vintage showroom, and a little room with mostly paganesque new items. With the addition of the licensed items, I'd say they have a bigger selection than Necromance and certainly Momento Mori, if you patronise L.A.'s other thana shops. The special exhibits are always worth admission price if you're a fan of the theme. I've been to The Shining, Addams Family/Munsters, Camp Horror, Slashback Video, and '90s Slashers - they were all fun. While I don't think I'd pay just for a non-themed museum ticket, you can usually spot some of their permanent fixtures and items mixed in with the feature.

Yelp
This is a simplistic fun break from the daily humdrum if you are a horror fan. Lots of fun items in the apothecary for novice witches only. Definitely a fun place to purchase the outrageously scary for Halloween! Owners recreate the walk through periodically so the entertainment is always fresh. There is a deliciously fun candy store that is connected just east of the museum itself. That is fun for the kids as well. The last sentence says it all and it's in the title. Definitely great for the kids. Check out the pictures here.

Yelp
This little museum and shop was so cute. We loved the interactive exhibits they put together. You can tell a lot if love, time, planning and passion has gone into this place. The staff member who showed us around was also really friendly and kind. I look forward to coming back with friends!

Yelp
Neat place! Silly, but fun. It seems like a lot of people dress up to visit, which is super cute. Recommended for kids of all ages.

Yelp
Spooky museum and dark oddities shop with delightful horror merchandise, vintage ouija boards, crystals, beautiful taxidermy and stunning decor. It's a goth and horror lovers dream here. I had to bite my hand to keep from purchasing anything this time. They had a great horror camp clothing display, ghost face fortune teller box, tales from the crypt guy on display. They had so many amazing vintage photographs and seance memorabilia for sale. It reminded me of a similar place called Ghoulish delights in the valley. Everything is on the pricey side but it's definitely worth a visit!!!

Yelp
Saw videos of the museum on TikTok. I had to add it to my itinerary for my LA trip. My aunt and I did the photo opp within the museum. They have you an interactive card to use inside. If you love teen slasher movies this was definitely a cool spot for pics. I wish there was a staff member to join and help with pics or even a phone stand would be nice. It looks like they change it every year, I'm curious to see what they do next time.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Cool little museum. Start off with your Student ID card. There are a few interactive displays that are sent into motion with the card. The theme changes yearly. This ttime it's high school horror movies. Such a great idea! Also the souvenir shop was great!

E M.

Yelp
It was so gorgeous and spooky inside! The exhibits were incredible! Most of all the service was super inclusive and accommodating. They really care about your experience here and you can clearly tell how much love they pour into this place.

Yelp
The Mystic Museum has me ready for Halloween and Summer hasn't even started yet! I purchased some great smelling incense from here and have been lighting them daily. I can't wait to stroll through here during spooky season.

Yelp
I usually love this museum. The 90s slasher was so much fun! However, I recently went about a week ago and the prices have gone up significantly, 40 for 2 people. I don't think the two rooms are worth the price, considering many of the interactive elements were not even working. When I approached the worker about the issue he stated the pencil must be slowly moved up and down. I asked a couple of people in front of me and they had the same issue. The mirror and the first 2 don't work. He also stated they've been working on fixing it. Definitely passing on the next theme, super bummed.
google avatar

Thaovi T.

Yelp
The Mystic museum and interactive immersive Y2Kills was so much fun!!!! I loved being creeped out. Each room was truly unique. Especially loved the Saw room. Lots of photo opps. And lots of great details in each room. Tip- take your time exploring
google avatar

Yelp
This place was really cool. If you are a fan of horror movies, oddities, or anything gothic I definitely recommend at least giving this place a visit. There were plenty of workers and they were all nice, so don't be afraid to ask them for help. They have a lot of souvenirs and oddities, a lot of the time I couldn't even tell what was for sale and what wasn't. Prices vary, they have small items and some big ones that are decently expensive. They do have a VIP experience, and this was the only downside to me, it just felt a little overpriced for what you get out of it, but others might not feel the same.

Yelp
We visited on Super Bowl Sunday morning to check out the 90's slasher exhibit before it disappears the weekend after. Parking was free around the street / neighborhood. Restrooms are not available inside the museum or in the nearby small shops so plan accordingly. It is free to walk into the main entrance of Mystic Museum which is a large store filled with spooky goods. It's a museum in itself to explore all the random cute and creepy items for sale. You'll find clothing, accessories, magnets, pins, bags, decor, stickers, cosmetics, bagged coffee and much more. To enter the actual exhibit will cost you. Buy tickets at the register since they're not available online then someone will let you in. The 90's slasher exhibit was really cool! It was interactive, so we were able to hold onto objects (like the landline telephone & knife) to really put yourself into the scene for a unique photo op. My favorites were the Scream film kitchen and living room area! I thought it was awesome to be shown on the old school TV. This isn't a jump scare Halloween maze type of place, but you can pay extra to have the experience more interactive. Although the exhibit is small, it was fun to explore and take fun photos. We took about 20 minutes inside. Only 2-4 other people were inside the exhibit at the same time so I never felt rushed or felt that I had to wait. This was our first time at Mystic Museum but definitely will come back to check out future exhibits!

Yelp
If you are a horror fan, oddities lover, or witchy bitch, you will love Mystic Museum! I consider myself all of the above, so it's one of my favorite places -- especially in Burbank. They have one side of the shop that's retail with gothy merchandise from KillStar, tarot cards, candles, apparel, etc. And then the other side has more of the medical oddities, taxidermy, witchy supplies, etc. They recently expanded as well and took over another storefront, which has all of the Camp Horror merchandise. There's so much good stuff here! I often shop for myself and friends here. I love that they have an old Zoltar machine. They sometimes dress it up in something horror related. They also often have a Tarot reader, which is fun. As for the museum, it's more like an experience really. They used to have more of a permanent exhibit of antique occult items like old ouija boards and an exorcism kit. But now they do rotating interactive exhibits. You can tell the whole business really is a labor of love and that the owners truly love horror and the occult because of the amount of thought and detail put into both the store and the museum. I've been to both the Evil Dead and 90s Slasher exhibits and I had so much fun at both. Yes the museum is small (depending on how long you spend taking photos and interacting with the exhibits, it might take you 20 minutes to an hour), but if you love horror movies, it's a real treat to go through the exhibits. Everything is super photogenic and Insta-friendly. They have recreations of sets and scenes from films. Actual props in some cases. And the interactive bits are a cool novelty that really adds to the experience. I loved "stabbing" things to see the interactive stuff for 90s slasher. My only complaint with the interactive stuff is that they don't always tell you where all the interactive stuff is (which with 90s slasher was for a specific reason if I remember correctly) but if they're going to charge extra for it, you should really be guaranteed the experience of what you've just paid for. Overall, Mystic Museum is a really unique place that's a valuable part of the Magnolia Park area and one of the reasons I really love living in Burbank. Let's keep the small businesses there alive and thriving!

Yelp
It's such a cool place, I loved it. Museum is fantastic as well, but it's sooo over priced. It was roughly $70-$75 for three of us to go to this like 10-minute walk through museum, and they charge each person for the plastic key that "unlocks interactive experiences" instead of charging one per party. Personally it's not worth the price, but it is for the museum if that makes sense. Thought it was kind of insane... but it really was an interesting, very old school horror experience. Staff was nice, just pushy on sales for the plastic knife thing (you'll know what I'm talking about when you go) Def check out the shop.. some of the coolest things I've seen. Museum is a hit or miss based on pricing
google avatar

Gina C.

Yelp
I love this place! It is very cool, it is a great place to go for any horror movie lover. I found out about this place from a YouTube video I watched a few years ago. Yes it is a bit over priced, but for me it makes up for it. They have done cool themes, like 90s Slashers, Camp Horror and they have another one up I want to go to. They change it once a year I think, the staff are helpful. Overall I would definitely recommend.

J Y.

Yelp
A must visit. Had a great time. The staff was great and the Horror High Prom exhibit was amazing.

Yelp
This review is specifically for their Lost Toys Exhibit, which was at a different location but close to the original museum. I believe the Lost Toys Exhibit is no longer active, so my partner and I are glad that we got to visit it before it closed down. We actually stumbled upon the exhibit randomly as we were taking a walk around the area. Being pop culture and toy fans, we decided to check it out. The museum is quite small, but there is so much to see. There is a lot of memorabilia, ranging from vintage toys, posters, sculptures, and more. Also, their merch was awesome! I purchased a really cool Slashback shirt at the kiosk when we were finishing up the tour. We will miss this exhibit, but we are excited about the museum's next chapter.
google avatar

Max S.

Yelp
Boo...The museum was roped off, but the retail store was open. This store is worth visiting and looking around. There are still plenty of props and artwork to look at. They sell unique, gothic style or horror inspired trinkets and gifts, yet fun and light hearted, not dark and eerie. They sell some really cool stuff. There's plenty of free street parking.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
Wow, this is a truly unique store. In many ways it's very hard to describe this shop. What they have is a whole lot of very unique and very interesting items that you will find nowhere else. This store has all kinds of great visual items to look at. But, more than that, they also have a great selection of books and items that people who are seeking information and a connection to the other realm will find exceedingly important. On the lighter side, the shop also offers some fun T-shirts, hats, floor mats, and things along that line. So, you don't have to come into this shop expecting that all you'll see are things leading to the nether realm. Mostly, the quickest way to describe this business is to say that it is visually stunning. Everywhere you look they have something that will draw you in and cause you to rethink not only generalized reality but a true understanding of the artistic landscape.

Yelp
I visited the Mystic Museum yesterday. I enjoyed my visit. I liked seeing the taxidermy, animal and human skeletons, antique medicinal products, and Elvira merch. It was fun to browse.
google avatar

Lea D.

Yelp
What a fun, exciting experience! I love all things spooky and horror so I was counting down until I could visit this place. First they have two room of a shop to look around in that had a bunch of interesting items (some I haven't seen before!). We bought our tickets and then made our way through the experience. We thankfully went during a time where there was barely anyone there so we got to take our time during the scenes. There were a couple pop up surprises and each room/scene was so well done and so many good horror movies to enjoy. 10/10 experience!
google avatar

Cassidy I.

Yelp
This review is purely on the shop, I did not take the tour. This shop is great if you're looking for kitschy horror movie decor. Staff were busy and unavailable. I also though the price points were pretty high, but that's true of a lot of spooky stores. All in all, a fun visit if you're a fan of the gothic and macabre. (Btw, there is a sign for mystic museum in their old (?) location. It's not closed!)
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
This place was awesome and the owner was so sweet! Definitely gave crazy jump scares that you wouldn't expect. The shop itself has a cool vibe and lots to see. I loved the ghostface fortune teller, I'm a huge fan and then seeing Saw was wild! Come check it out.
google avatar

Victoria M.

Yelp
Went out to Burbank for a fun day and of course had to go to the mystic museum! Absolutely love the store and all its Decour it's definitely a vibe. There's so much to look at so much to buy. If you're into oddities there's a little bit of something for everybody. I love that they have a little museum in the back that you pay a little extra for it's definitely worth it I highly recommend this place to everybody.
google avatar

Joe P.

Yelp
Cool little place to visit. They have "unusual" but cool things to shop for. Staff didn't really acknowledge us but I guess they were just busy.
google avatar

Scarlette L.

Yelp
A fun experience if you like horror and macabre. Ive been here twice for 2 different exhibits and both were fun! There's another location not too far. Also a few comic and collectables stores walking distance.

Yelp
I never knew this place existed until my brother pointed it out after a recent stop on Magnolia Blvd. I'm so glad we stopped in on the fly! The Bearded Lady's Mystic Museum is your one stop shop of spooky fun. Currently it is paying tribute to Evil Dead and is called Camp Horror. The first room has a log cabin feel complete with sound and monitors dressed as windows as swamp monsters and kills pop up occasionally to scare you. The first room has enamel pins, footwear, vintage books and records, and clothing. Right now until the end of January 2022, the merchandise focus on Camp Horror and Evil Dead themes. It is also the entrance of the exhibit in which you must buy admission. It is closed off to the public so you won't be able to see what is going on in the back room. The second room has more vintage medical oddities from the Victorian era, skeletons and apocathary products. Spend time to look at their installations as this is more than just a store. One can easily spend tons of times just browsing and the staff are friendly and helpful but never badgering. The third room is a bit more spiritual, gothic and celestial. They have tons of books of different practices and tarot cards. Super cute goth home decor, drinkware, clothing, candles and Budhist statues are just a few things I saw in this room. Also, check out the original art and consider supporting a local artist as well as Mystic Museum by investing in that artwork. Overall, I had a great experience and hope to go back to catch the Evil Dead exhibit. I will also bring canned good and new items as they have a year-round food drive to help those in need.

Yelp
The Mystic Museum is really very fun! They have a lot of unique items for sale that make perfect gifts for a certain personality type in the store. I enjoyed the Y2Kills exhibit soooo much. Y2Kills was a fun walk through of several different intellectual properties. There were elaborate photo ops. The special effects were interesting. Several unique items from productions were on display. It was a fun time! However we went to their Evil Dead Immersive Experience today and was unfortunately severely disappointed. First it's not really immersive, it's a small exhibit with a couple of photo ops and for an up charge you can turn on a few simple effects. The first thing I noticed upon entering is the fog wasn't working but the fog laser lights were on so it looked strange and a bit broken. I took a photo and made a quick video for my social media (away from other guests near the entrance). Right away one of the staff came up while we were taking photos in the first room and aggressively reprimanded me for making a video that was clearly to PROMOTE THEM on my social media and gave me a very long winded talking to about how I am not allowed to monetize my content etc. (I wasn't planning on it, I was literally just trying to make a video to promote the exhibit and share with my very small but specifically focused following that enjoy horror in SoCal.) That interaction ruined our experience. My husband didn't enjoy it at all because he was so upset by the way we were rudely treated by staff. Then another staff member walked by and asked if we wanted a photo together so I had them take one in the fake car and I should've checked it because when I got home I saw the pic was not well framed at all and blurry. The upgrade keychain only triggered two cool effects the first door & elevator. The rest were sounds & some lighting effects and a less impressive effect similar to one in Y2Kills but air compressors were running in the building so you couldn't hear the audio. There were some items from Evil Dead, tons of photos from set and a handful of photo ops. The largest room was just random stuff though like an old seance table from a past Sabrina exhibit and Zultar machine. Overall Evil Dead wasn't worth the time or money. The staff was a combination of high energy rudeness and the rest appearing as though they wished they were anywhere but there. The photo ops weren't well lit. The exhibit was very small. The keychain special upgrade was unimpressive. I highly recommend Y2Kills and visiting Mystic Museum to shop for unique and strange items...but I strongly suggest passing on Evil Dead Experience.

Yelp
What a fun, hidden treasure ! I was in Burbank driving to another spot and saw this store. I checked it out and was not disappointed. If you're into Halloween or spooky vibes, this is it! The people who work at the "museum" are friendly too. Note, they allow pictures, unlike the other spot in the neighborhood...

Yelp
My witchy self loved this spooky place a lot! I actually found this shop/museum randomly while walking on Magnolia Blvd. but I've had it booked-marked for years & it was meant to be, since I visited a couple of days before Halloween, which made it even spookier. Its free to go inside the shop (2 rooms) where you will find all kinds of mysterious, unusual, odd & spooky items like: candles, clothing, ouija boards, books, taxidermy, unique items from "Friday the 13th", "A Nightmare on Elm St", "Tales of the Crypt", "Bones", etc. I loved the medical area, they have a human skull with teeth that I totally wanted to take home; also antique dental instruments, typodonts, & skeletons...so cool! At the very back is the access to the museum, the entrance fee is $10.00. The theme when I went was "Evil Dead" it was so much fun. I loved the small Creepy details & the fact that you can take all the pics you want. The staff is super friendly & you can tell they enjoy what they do. Both the store and the museum are super organized. If you like horror, Halloween, witches, unusual stuff and spookiness you will definitely enjoy this place. Total Burbank Gem! PS. You won't have trouble finding a parking spot. Lots of street parking available, plus cute coffee shops.

Yelp
We came to check this place out before they set up their next exhibit. We didn't want to miss the 90 slashers, featuring the original movie scream. Everyone here was so helpful so nice and very entertaining. It's very tiny, yet so well put together. They put so much details into everything. It makes it so worth it! For an extra price, you get a slashers knife, that enhances the exhibit. I tried asking what the next exhibit it's gonna be once this one's gone they told us to keep watching Instagram and they're gonna give hints until it's open. So intriguing, I can't see what they come up with next time! Definitely will be coming back to every exhibit they have!

Yelp
So much fun and so chill yet terrifying. You can find everything you need in the Mystic Museum if it's dope horror and magical items. The staff was friendly and courteous, they weren't all over us trying to get us to buy or upsell; they just let us take our time to look around and the items we wanted came to us in a vision! Hah! They have pins and speciality items, shirts and bags, posters and such! I couldn't help but get some pins, 'Evil Dead' socks and a 'Camp Horror' t-shirt. We came in on a whim to look around and get out of the rain, when lo and behold, master thespian David Dastmalchian was in the store being his cool self. I'm not one to bother celebrities, but it was such a pleasure to see him and I am a true fan so I said hello. It made my day. He was as cool as the other side of the pillow and took a photo with my daughter and myself. Amazing time just goofin' off and browsing. We will be back.

Yelp
Fun place to browse, it's a store, museum, sometimes they have exhibits as well. All Horror oriented. The decor is very cool, perfect for Halloween, and you can shop all year around. They try hard not to have cheesy merchandise, and prices are high since some items are more unique, one of a kind. The staff is kinda snooty, parking is easy, street parking. Fun to check out if on Magnolia Park area and you are into horror decor, memorabilia and Gothic style!

Yelp
Super fun, quick, adult Halloween activity! I love the mystic museum all year round for spooky vibes when it's not Halloween, but right now they have a special interactive Evil Dead tribute museum. I won't give any spoilers, but it features amazing Evil Dead artwork, has an interactive option, and a mini scavenger hunt. The staff is really into it and it's super fun. It definitely felt made for adults but it could be fine for older kids as well. Tickets seem a little bit pricey but then again I have no idea how much it costs to put this production on. Overall, had lots of fun!

Yelp
If you love spooky, then you'll definitely want to check this place out. They have all sorts of oddities relating to the occult, paranormal mystical and horror. And they also have cute and unique merchandise to shop from. There's a lot of cool things to walk around and see here before even going thru an exhibit. I got to check out their 90's slashers exhibit which was interactive and very impressive! It had the perfect set ups to grab some cute pictures, and it was giving so much nostalgia! These were some of the most iconic characters and movies, and over all it was so awesome to see such a creative space! The 90's slasher exhibit just ended February 19th, but their next exhibit will begin April 15th. The museum offers rotating themed art shows, unique interactive exhibits, events and more. I'm so glad I got to check this out while I was in town, and excited to see what their next fun exhibit will be!

Yelp
AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO! It's great to come to the Mystic Museum & the adjacent Bearded Lady Vintage & Oddities Shop anytime. Halloween time here however takes on a special eerie vibe. They take it to the next level. This store is a favorite shopping haunt of none other than Elvira Mistress of the Dark from TV. There are all kinds of unique items in here that you won't find in too many places. They have books, games, videos, jewelry, shoes, toys , mystical, occult, Movie Merch & lots more. They have their own line of T Shirts too. You have to scope out every inch of this place. You might miss out on some really unusual items. There is so much Creepy Crawly Cool stuff in here. The decorations, statues, & motif are really great. If you are a Sci Fi, Horror & Movie Fan you will go kind of bonkers in here. This is a great place to put you in the Halloween mood in the autumn months. They also have a Physic & Tarot Card reader in here. They now have 2 Museums you can visit The Slasher that's located in the back & a Toy Museum with a Horror edge down the block. They'll be open until Christmas. The museums are small & $15 & $5 more for interactive. I didn't visit the museums so I can't comment on them. Next time I come here, I'll have to check them out. I ended up buying 2 T shirts. There's Free street parking all around the neighborhood. To make it worth your trip, you've got to check out 2 really cool Halloween Houses in the area. One is at the end of the street called The Clown House with all kinds of oversized deranged clowns @ 715 N Ontario in Burbank. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! The other is a few blocks away on 3600 Clark St. You have to tune in to 99.1 & listen while you visit. The Clark St. address also puts on a great Christmas display too. You can read my individual reviews of those also. It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really Rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Yelp
This is a fun shop and the prices are very good. I was able to purchase the lunchbox that I wanted but walked away from at the other store nearby. You might stop here first. The staff was fun and helpful. They also have a selection of $1 buttons at the front counter, Star Trek figures, excellent patches and more.

Yelp
So, I've been here a few times and honestly it's a lot of fun! We paid $15 each to get into their interactive museum on the back! We came during the slasher 90's theme which was a lot of fun! Definitely something to do if you are a fan of horror movies! I really enjoy how unique the selection of product is in the store. You can get incense, books, taxidermy and so on! Spirit Halloween and Hot Topic wished they could! Staff is nice and super helpful! When we had questions about the interactive parts of displays, someone was immediately there to help! If you like dark and witchy stuff, definitely stop by!

Yelp
my friend and i went to the Bearded Lady's Mystic Museum to see the current exhibit, (90's Slasher Exhibit) on 2022/05/28. from the street, it looks like a regular storefront, when you enter, you see items on the shelves for sale that you would expect to find in a mystic store, ie Crystals, mini skulls, cards, etc..., you go to the counter and pay the exhibit entry price ($16.00. the storefront is really the front part of 3 connected stores, the back area is the museum part, patrons are let in by party or small group of people to control the crowd in the museum and allow visitors to take pictures with the exhibits, it was more fun than i expected, but i recomend that you go with a friends or a group of friends to take pictures with (more fun)
