Hi Felicia: Staff Allege Bounced Paychecks and High Turnover Plagued Oakland Restaurant Ahead of Sudden Closure | Eater SF

"A new spirits-driven bar called the Warren is set to open later this year in downtown Napa, where a trio of owners who all previously worked for chef José Andrés plan inventive cocktails and a bites menu that spans shumai, scallop ceviche, and more; co-owner Michael Iglesias has previously been the defendant in two 2016 restaurant lawsuits—a sexual harassment accusation in a lawsuit involving chef Michael Chiarello and a wage-theft claim tied to Calavera—which he has denied." - Dianne de Guzman

The Napa Inn was wonderful!! Very cozy, warm and inviting. The breakfast included was delicious. All so fresh, local farm to table with different options. And in the evening fresh baked goodies were so welcome after a day wine tasting! Along with the soaking tub in our suite, so relaxing!! The Napa Inn is about 1.5 - 2 miles to restaurants and stores. Easily walkable. The staff were all so very kind and helpful. I highly recommend. Done

We stayed in William’s hideaway. It was very cozy, spacious and bright. The fireplace was a nice feature. The Inn is walking distance to downtown. Breakfast was awesome. The manager even gave us a historical tour of the property. They really make you feel at home.

We stayed at The Napa Inn for one night and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect — right in downtown Napa, within walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Parking was easy and convenient. The inn itself is a beautifully maintained 150-year-old home, full of charm and character, making it perfect for a romantic getaway. Each room has its own unique, historic name and decor, which adds a special touch to the experience. Breakfast was homemade and delicious — definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The host and manager were very kind, attentive, and took the time to explain everything and make us feel welcome. Overall, it’s a lovely and relaxing place to stay in Napa, with prices much more reasonable than many nearby hotels. Highly recommend!

Google
We had an excellent stay 2-night at the Napa Inn. The location, room, staff, made-to-order local breakfast (with amazing coffee, fruit bowl and delicious muffins) and all other services were above our expectations (11 out of 10). The breakfast staff served complimentary Mimosas to us on our first-day breakfast to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We would love to stay at the Napa Inn again in the future whenever we are in the town. Thank you for hosting us.

My Mejorest Amiga and I were celebrating a girlfriend’s get-away for our 25th friendship anniversary in Napa so what better way to enjoy it than a stay at the Napa Inn!? We stayed at the Turret Suite for our two night stay which had two beds, a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, and balcony! Breakfast was devine both days! They have a daily special you can enjoy or can choose from a typical breakfast menu. Check-in and check-out was super easy and relaxed. They have a parking lot or parking out front option. Everything about our stay was simple and without complaints! The staff is super friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and comfortable! Totes thinking about staying here for our next trip! Thank you for our lovely stay!

Recommend! Room was very clean; bathroom spacious; room fridge and tv; tasty breakfast. Price was good but I know in summer it is much higher. Could use some sprucing up but nothing major. Parking on-site. Close to downtown Napa. Easy walk to food and shops.

This bed and breakfast was the best part of Napa Valley! The hospitality was out of this world. The food was amazing and everyone was so kind. The property itself is beautiful and cozy. Our room had a spa bath and it was so nice!

My three daughters and I had a very comfortable stay at the Napa Inn. We stayed in the two bedroom Chelsea Room. We were celebrating my eldest daughter’s birthday and they had a Happy Birthday sign in the room when we arrived. It was a very sweet and welcoming touch. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable with luxurious sheets. Breakfast was delicious with a different choice each morning. The lemon cookies in the evening were an added highlight. We are thankful that when we expressed how delicious the cookies were they were happy to email us the recipe! So grateful for the pleasant stay and welcoming hospitality by the Napa Inn staff. It was a perfect choice for us. Thank you.

Yelp
Wednesday morning: I arrived a little before 8am and there were already 4 tables seated befblueberry muffin (warm and exceptional), eggs benefit, fruits. Was so full Thursday morning: started off with a snickerdoodle muffin and had the croque madame with an egg. It was pretty tasty. Forgot the name of the room I was in but it was up a flight of stairs. It was large and spacious though the bathroom was tiny. I love this place and I 100% recommend staying here.

Yelp
This bed and breakfast was very quant and cute. The concierge woman is very nice and handed us champagne right away to celebrate our anniversary. The complimentary breakfast is just okay and they do not give you much food (you will most likely be hungry). The menu is also pretty limited to about 4 basic options. The do however have a cookie or a muffin that's complimentary for anyone to take at any time. The people are very nice and accommodating, there to answer any questions you have. House is a bit old and it shows in the bathroom but it is still a nice place. I'd recommend giving this a try given that the Napa area is quite expensive, this is more affordable option.

Yelp
This was an enchanting little bed and breakfast. Would highly recommend! The room was quaint but had everything a couple could need on a romantic getaway! We will definitely be returning. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and polite. They did an amazing breakfast each day that was absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a place to stay right near down town Napa I assure you there is no better place.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! We stayed on 4/1 and again on 4/15. Great hospitality, awesome location and will always be our number 1 place to stay!

Yelp
What a cute little quaint B&B, a short walk to downtown Napa and Napa Valley expo, it was my husband's first experience at a B&B everything from the check in to check out, everyone we encountered were very kind and helpful Teresa the housekeeper is the sweetest. The breakfast omg so good I will definitely be staying here again only bad thing stay of the first floor if you can't carry luggage up the stairs we were on the third floor and the staircase is pretty narrow and you are secluded
google avatar

Yelp
A really cute and cozy B&B right at downtown Napa. Downtown Napa accommodation is always at a crazy price, this place is cheaper than most but with such a charm. It is a Victorian house with fitting furniture in the common area and in the room. Our room is has a king bed. The bath tub and shower is just right by the bed - but it really wasn't an issue at all. The breakfast in the morning is crazily good - always with super fresh fruit and granola in a buffet style, and then a freshly made entree different everyday. Amazing location that you can walk to all the restaurants and bars in minutes. Will go back on my next Napa trip!

Nick M.

Yelp
From arrival to departure everything was fantastic. The hostess Celia and her staff were very friendly and inviting. The breakfast was made to order delicious and hot off the stove. You should definitely stay here.

Yelp
What is The Napa Inn hiding?? I will say the room was exactly as described but nothing else was what was portrayed on Booking.com! It's a bait and switch situation. When you book a room at the Napa Inn, you see a beautiful Victorian home on a quiet cul-de-sac. However, less than half of their rooms are actually on that property. What you most likely find is you're staying on a different property that is on a main through road with constant traffic, overlooking a parking lot attached to a large apartment building with loud music, cars in and out all night long and dogs barking. Which contradicts their assertion that "quiet hours" are from 10pm to 8am. Since you must pre-pay prior to arriving at the property, you have no recourse because the owner is never there and the on-site management either doesn't care or has no authority to deal with issues in real time. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere with better ethics and who care about the experience they are providing.

Lily L.

Yelp
Charming! Charming! Charming! Close to downtown, just minutes way. The room we got was outside the main house in a separate space. We enjoyed our stay very much and the delicious breakfast in the morning was the cherry on top.

Yelp
* Price: $250 per night. * Accommodation: spacious room, fireplace, spacious bathroom, free wifi, water, soda, cheese plate, breakfast. * Location: 10 mile from Yountville. * Morif: victorian style, quaint. * Service: friendly We only stayed here because our friends stayed here for a training course at the culinary institution... It is not bad for one night here. It is a Bed & Breakfast with two houses, Victorian style. The main building is where breakfast served with cute candle light dinning tables, living room with fireplace. Upon checking in to the place, we were met and greeted by the inn keeper, Katie who walked all of us to our own rooms. We stayed in the Tower room on second floor of the main building, good size room, good size bathroom with tub. The bedding is pretty comfy. Toiletries is so so. I would bring my own stuff. Bath robes are provided but no slippers... so bring your own. The building is historical... so you will hear your neighbor talking, squeaking stair, etc. So, bring your ear plugs. The breakfast is pretty good with cut fresh fruit, coffee, juice and freshly cooked meal with eggs, quiche and strudels. Parking is self park on the street. There is no elevator... only stair to the second and third floor... so, pack light if you don't want to drag your luggages up the stairs. Overall, it is a good place to stay overnight.

Yelp
This is the first bed and breakfast in a Victorian home that we've stayed in. It was perfect! The check in was easy, everything was spotless, the breakfast was delicious, there was water, tea, and coffee always available. This place was adorable, but my absolute favorite was THE BED! I've traveled all over the world, stayed in all types of places, but the bed here is unforgettable. I started traveling with my own pillow since I usually wake up with a stiff neck from hotel pillows. I didn't have to use my own here. I looked at all the labels of the sheets they used, the comforter, everything was so soft and so comfortable! Definitely quality sheets, pillow, and mattress, so that alone make this place a home run for me. I'm super upset that I didn't take any pictures! The parking was easy, and we walked everywhere. The only thing is that it's listed as a spa as well, but I never saw any spa or any services advertised inside by the front desk, so who knows where it went. We stayed in the Victorian Room. We didn't have any street views, but it was on the second floor and we didn't hear any noise. It's a tiny bit pricey, but that bad was worth every penny. Very happy with our stay. P.S. Wear socks! The floor in the bathroom is cold!

Yelp
An absolute gem in Napa. Well deserving of the high rating. If you're looking for a memorable stay, this is the place! The location is close to shops and restaurants. The room is clean and cozy. And the breakfast is delicious. I appreciated the dietary accommodation. Thank you to the staff for their exemplary service.

Yelp
I stayed here over the weekend and loved my stay. PROS: Exceptional location Beautiful architecture Kirsten the innkeeper was AMAZING and so attentive Super delicious breakfast Wonderful amenities Super comfortable beds CONS: The only improvement I would make would be to make the property a bit more ADA-friendly. I booked on booking.com and at no point was there any mention of the fact that I would be on the third floor with 3 flights of stairs and no elevator - I am disabled so this was kind of an unwelcome surprise. I completely understand that the property is pretty old - however I would suggest reserving a room on the first floor for ADA guests and clearly communicating on booking sites which floor each room is on (each room is unique) and that there are stairs, so that there are no surprises.

Yelp
Thank you for a great wedding night! Madaline's Suite was a perfect way for us to start off as Mr. & Mrs. Napa Inn is conveniently located near downtown. Staff is friendly. Randy the manager helped set up our room and make it special for when we arrived. Breakfast the next day was tasty! We will have to return for our Anniversary. Best wishes to everyone at the Inn.

Stacy L.

Yelp
We booked a stay with them two months prior to arrival date. We had to cancel soon after we booked and they charged us $50 for cancelling! They stated it was in their email confirmation which we never received. It's also not stated on their website where we booked. Very disappointed and will never book this hotel again. Terrible customer service when we tried to get our refund. There are plenty of other Napa hotels that we will book in the future. Don't book with them!

Yelp
We had the Gable room. It was very cute - I just wish there was more natural light - there is only one window that gets little light. The bathroom is also a bit small/awkward, but it serves its purpose. The fireplace is lovely. The bed is comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is delicious.

Yelp
For mine and my boyfriends anniversary I planned a 3 day trip to Napa California to visit the wine train love lock bridge. Anyways we stayed at this bed and breakfast.. let me start by saying it was cute and the food was decent.. but my boyfriend and I smoke cigarettes.. at first I had a cigarette out by my car in the parking lot and the lady Christine had told me that this facility was a smoke free facility so I apologized and walked to the end of the street to finish my cigarette. On the day of us checking out we had woken up late by accident at 11:55am anyways the lady came to my room about 12:13 as we were packing up yelling at my boyfriend that they were going to charge us with a late check out fee and a smoking fee accusing us of smoking in the room when we hadn't at all and wouldn't anyways bcuz that's absolutely disgusting like what. Obviously if we smoke we might have a slight scent of it but that's all I can think of considering we wouldn't ever smoke in a hotel room ever. Anyways the lady Christine and one of the employees were yelling at my boyfriend practically talking shit and calling us liars about smoking in the room and telling us there's a late check out fee and that we were going to have to pay blah blah blah. I have never dealt with such disrespect at a hotel in my entire life not to mention I drove 10 hours just to be at this place I was beyond upset. These women absolutely ruined mine and my boyfriends morning and overall mood for our 10 hour trip back home I felt that just because we are a young couple that they felt the need to take advantage of us. Not to mention she was very nice to me the evening before said morning but stated a comment that she road the train before Google and blah blah like i also was born before Google the thing is I just don't look it were probably closer in age then she thought because I look relatively young for my age! Not to mention the people who were packing up and leaving behind us were also checking out late and weren't yelled at about a late check out fee! Anyways let me wrap this long review up. Rather than this ridiculous incident overall the stay was nice and the hotel is very cute. I would Recommend this hotel just be careful of the employees being rude and disrespectful.

Ira M.

Yelp
From when you first drive up and see this gorgeous property, you will not be disappointed. The rooms are great. The staff is phenomenal and the breakfast is exceptional. Last but not least, the location in downtown Napa allows you to walk to restaurants, the river and other attractions. We will definitely return to this property in the near future.

Ryan L.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast. Super cute place to stay. Good price. Not sure what the crazy vibrating noise was in the handicapped "Angelina room". I'd recommend not staying in that room. It sounded like a giant washing washing machine behind the headboard that was in spin cycle. Crazy loud. Started at like 6am!!

Yelp
We had such a lovely and cozy stay at the Napa Inn. The staff was beyond friendly and so helpful. The room had gorgeous decor and was very clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the jet tub was a highlight for sure! Affordable and welcoming, we will be back!

Yelp
We spent a couple of days at the Napa Inn and we highly recommend this charming bed-and-breakfast to anyone visiting Napa. This inn is warm, welcoming and meticulously cared for. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and had everything you needed. But... The highlight of our stay at the Napa Inn was the customer service, specifically, the innkeeper, Cyndi, and her staff. On our first day, we asked Cyndi for suggestions for visiting wineries in the area. Based upon our interests, she produced a map and then marked the locations of the wineries she thought we'd like. She even summarized the highlights of each. We followed Cyndi's advice and she was spot on with her suggestions! This inn includes a homemade breakfast. Cyndi and her staff prepared absolutely delicious breakfasts for us. Later, when I mentioned that I was trying to look up some of the recipes online, she offered to give me the recipes of the various dishes. She emailed the recipes to me that very afternoon!! When we were curious about the inn, Cyndi took the time to describe its intriguing history. Cyndi is an all-around excellent person. As a matter of fact, when we ended our stay, we felt like we were leaving a friend. We look forward to coming back and will highly recommend this inn to all of our friends!

Tracy L.

Yelp
So disappointed in our stay. We stayed here twice in the last few years, and were looking forward to bringing my dad here. First, the rooms we chose weren't available, so they "upgraded us" to rooms that we would have never picked. Our room was noisy and uncomfortable. My dad's room was next to their laundry room, and he had to deal with washing machines on the other side of his wall that simulated helicopters taking off throughout his stay. Breakfast was barely tolerable, and when served breakfast you are only referred to by your room name. Seems like they are running this with the bare minimum effort and want to make sure we know it. Will NEVER stay here again.

Ben M.

Yelp
This quaint place was fine for an overnight stay in Napa but way overpriced (600 a night) for what it is. And there was nothing about it that warranted the word spa in its name. False advertising. Pluses: convenient location less than 1 mile from downtown Napa, comfy bed, nice breakfast and easy free parking. Minuses: arrived at 6 pm and no reception, no wine, dim lighting and just an envelope on the ground with our name on it and a list of instructions. House was Victorian style but needed some updates. Bathroom was spacious but the amenities provided were disappointing. Not luxury at all. Shower was a bit sad. Also, they could do more with outdoor space. Overall, it was ok but for the price and spa branding, it should be way more luxurious.

Yelp
Such a lovely bed and breakfast! We were only in town for one night for a concert, but wow I wish we had been there longer to enjoy all that The Napa Inn has to offer! Each room is unique, and you book the one you like when making your reservation. The inn has two houses with these rooms, right next to each other. Check in was super easy, and the friendly staff offered to help with booking wine tours as well (if only we were there longer!) Enjoy port wine, cheese and crackers, cookies, and other snacks by the fireplace in the main house living room during the afternoon hours. Breakfast was delicious and served in the dining room with the other guests. We will gladly return to The Napa Inn, and next time for a few nights!

Yelp
I promised the ladies here that I would review the Inn. Here it is - it's absolutely wonderful coming here during the holiday season, I can't recommend it enough. The rates are cheaper and the entire Inn is beautifully decorated with the holiday spirit. The breakfasts are to die for, well prepared fresh food every morning with wonderful coffee. There isn't one thing that we didn't like about the Inn. You are within walking distance of everything in downtown Napa which we loved. We are walkers and basically ditched our rental car once we got there because we love walking around the town so much. The customer service here is 100%, in fact, they didn't have to do this, my husband came down with that nasty cold that was going around in November and December. One of the ladies on duty that day made him a hot lemon water with ginger mug of drink. I thought that was so nice. They have a lovely cheese and treat plate set out every day at 4:00 pm, they also sell wine by the bottle at a really good grocery store rate. The parlor area has a fireplace and a TON of books and games if you don't feel like hanging out in your room. It's a good way to meet the other guests and we roped two teachers into playing Trivial Pursuit with us. I could go on and on here so I will stop. If you want to have a beautiful holiday vacation surrounded by a lovely place that is gorgeous. Stay here!

Yelp
We stayed here again this year, while in town for the annual Napa Bed & Breakfast Holiday Tour and Taste event. We were able to check-in around 2 pm, prior to the event beginning at 3 pm, which was great. All of the inn staff are very nice and helpful. This time we were in the third floor Turret Suite, which sleeps three. My honey and I slept in the super comfy king bed and our friend slept in the (equally comfy) twin. The sheets are seriously the softest. My parents were across the hall, in the only other room on the third floor. The Turret Suite is lovely, with nice lighting, a shared balcony, separate areas for the two beds, and great views from the cute built-in table. Just don't forget to duck as you enter the bathroom through the low entrance. We had at least one "didn't duck long enough" incident. (For the record, it wasn't me.) After you have maneuvered the entrance, you will find that the bathroom is beautiful and bright, with a huge, modern footed tub and large shower. Breakfast this morning was delicious. Coffee, tea, water, and orange juice are offered as beverages. Muffins, yogurt, granola, and fruit were available buffet style. Once you are settled in at a table, they bring your entree. This morning the entree was a nice trio plate of apple pancake, veggie quiche, and breakfast potatoes. I highly recommend this B&B!

Yelp
With all of the accommodations options in Napa, I regret choosing The Napa Inn. My check in with Savannah was awesome, but there was a booking issue and the owner Brooke handled the situation very poorly. I work in the hospitality industry and truly value great customer service; I feel like Brooke could have resolved the issue in a more professional manner. I will not refer my friends and family to stay at The Napa Inn.
google avatar

Roe R.

Yelp
I wish I could have given a better rating; however, the main reason for having booked an inn/bed & breakfast was for the homey feeling. Unfortunately, after meeting the owner, Brooke, the only thing I felt was the passive aggression. I just wish things were handled better, as when you're on vacation, comfort is the main thing you look forward to. After staying at a place, one could only wish to come back there again, but I only wish to have stayed elsewhere.

Yelp
Great one night get away! Beautiful property with nice staff! Room was nice with great tub! Fireplace was cozy too! Will define you Stay again!

Yelp
$200 extra cleaning fee out of the blue - next day after checkout. Wasn't bad at all. We had already paid for an extra person to sleep in our room. What a joke.

Yelp
Best!! My husband said this made up for every not so awesome place we've stayed. Nicest staff and amazing breakfast!!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
My husband and I spent the night in the Roman Suite. Upon arrival the room was nice and warm, with the fireplace going and music playing in the background. The only downside was the sound. Unfortunately you could hear far too much sound from the people in the room above.
google avatar

Minna Y.

Yelp
This place was such a pleasant surprise. I booked it last minute using credit card points so I didn't have a lot of options. The inn keepers are really great. I think it's the same thing everyday. A baked egg dish, roasted potatoes, mixed fruit, granola, and yogurt. It's a pretty good spread and there's something for everyone. I think we stayed in one of the older rooms. There was a separate room for just the toilet and the shower and sink were in the same room as the bed. I guess that's what it was like way back when. The room was well kept. I definitely suggest staying here when visiting Napa.

Yelp
We had an amazing time at The Napa Inn. Friendly staff met some interesting people. The port was tasty but we weren't a fan of the Sherry. Chocolates, cheese and cookies to compliment the wine. The room was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. We stayed in the Madeline Suite. I highly recommend it. 3rd floor with a balcony, jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. The food in the morning was surprisingly good. I thought bc it was a B&B it would be plain and bland but everything was truly delicious. I highly recommend The Napa Inn. Jahmal N.

Yelp
We loved this place! It has so much character, is cozy, and the breakfast is fresh and amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better place. The location is convenient too and there's always parking.

Yelp
Added Re The Napa Inn, June 2021: this property offers many stand-alone cottages; we stayed at the Garden Cottage. The pluses: 1) lovely cottage with many amenities and a comfortable bed. 2) Breakfast served daily inside the Inn main building and it was very good. You may need to wait a little, for breakfast service depending on how many guests are ahead of you. 3) Free bottles of water, tea and hot chocolate are available inside the Inn, on a self-service basis. 4) Close walking distance to downtown Napa. The minuses: Covid restrictions were still in place here, but the Napa Inn did not outline these restrictions on their web site. We arrived for check-in around 3 p.m., picked-up our reservation check-in information under the mat outside the front door, and read them; No staff was present at the Inn. We proceeded to our cottage, then read the remaining check-in instructions (2 pages+check-in receipt) which provided information about the Cottage and detailed the COVID safety precautions in place including the following: "Standard room serving will be suspended for the immediate future." And, "If you had any immediate needs now or after hours, you could reach us at the number listed on the front door until 8 p.m., via text message." On another instruction page it stated: "Afterhours emergency innkeeper cell phone until 7 p.m., TEXT ONLY"...same phone number for both. Comment: I believe that the Inn traditionally serves afternoon refreshment but nothing was mentioned in the information about this. Summation: The Napa Inn cottage was pleasant, but disappointing because the they did not outline on their website, the detailed COVID restrictions they had in place nor did they state that there was no staff on site except for morning breakfast service. Our stay here was to celebrate a very special anniversary and it could have been a lot better! Maureen

Yelp
This place was incredible. The second I got there, I didn't want to leave and the second I left, I wanted to go back. Our room was beautiful like a painting. There was even an in-room jacuzzi! In the morning, we sat outside and ate a really nice breakfast of quiche, potato, and baked apple. The communal room is stuffed with books, movies, instruments, artifacts, and snacks. Contrary to prior reviews, I thought that this place was very well-maintained and clean. A few trivial cracks in a wall are not going to deter me away from coming back here. The staff was friendly and the stay was cozy. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
We want to thank the staff and especially Cindy for making our stay very warmth and comfortable! The place is really nice and cozy. The breakfast and the treats are really good. The location is so close to the downtown we can walk there. We had a great time staying there. Thank you for a bottle of champagne Cindy!!

Yelp
I had a lovely time here at The Napa Inn. Comprised of two historic and beautiful buildings just blocks from the heart of downtown Napa, this BnB is a fantastic and affordable option for anyone. I stayed for two nights and not only were the linens on the bed fabulous, the entire room was too. I slept like a baby! Upon our arrival, my friend and I were greeted at the door by a gal on shift that night. She was so bubbly and so kind that I am embarrassed to not remember her name. She gave us a tour of the grounds, spoke a bit about the history of the building and then told us about the cheese platters, fresh baked cookies and unlimited amounts of sherry and port served in the living room during the evening. SCORE! Additionally there was a common fridge with water and various soda brands for people who needed a quick drink. We took full advantage of all of these cute amenities and also enjoyed the board games, books, dvds and the fireplace in the living room. Hanging out there in the evening was so peaceful that I'd immediately wished I'd booked a few extra nights. Our rooms were cleaned daily and that included complimentary soap, shampoo and even little chocolates on our pillows. Because of the silly liquid law on airlines, I almost always opt to just buy shampoo and hairspray each time I travel. Because it was included, I could save the time and money. PHEW! I wasn't expecting the stay to be so complete. With breakfast set and prepared each morning, the packaged deal here was totally worth every penny. I will warn however that the breakfast are not quite as 'gourmet' as one would expect. The food was delicious and I definitely ate each morning, but shortcuts are taken in the process that I was a little sad to see. The reason is clear though... managing breakfast for more than a dozen people isn't an easy task. Especially with picky eaters, vegetarians, and late sleepers. So the breakfast is set up buffet style. There was usually one or two large pan breakfast casseroles, some biscuits or store bought scones, and some store bought yogurt and granola. Everything was still tasty and I looked forward to each meal in the morning. Overall I loved the stay here and would highly recommend the Napa Inn to any friends or family. The location is great, the place is really tidy and the staff is friendly.

Yelp
They bill themselves as a 4 star resort but the rooms are really, really awful. Thin walls, food was not good, and the quality of the room was substandard. I'd stay anywhere else in Napa if I were you. Their customer service is awful and completely missing the charm you'd expect from a bed and breakfast.

Yelp
I have stayed at several B&B's in Napa, this was my least favorite to date. We stayed in the Oak room, which was small and has a TINY bathroom - literally only room for one person in the bathroom at a time. One of the shades on the window was broken, so we had limited natural lighting into the room. The house itself is quaint. The sherry and port, cookies, and snacks, sodas, water, tea, are a nice added touch. The breakfast was ok. I am not a fan of casserole egg dishes and that is whats for breakfast every day. Fresh fruit, granola, juice, tea, coffee, pastry. I really feel B&B's should serve individual main dishes, especially when only 8-10 guests are being served. Price reflects what you get.

Yelp
Napa Inn is definitely a five star B&B and I would recommend if you are looking to stay in Napa this is the place to reserve! This is a very charming and nice comfortable quiet place to stay and relax in Napa. Suzanna and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, you will feel like you at home from the moment you walk in. The rooms are very nice and cozy with a big tub and some have a patio that you can sit out on and get some sun too. OH and I must mention the sheets they use, you have never slept on such silky soft sheets, you wont want to leave the bed, trust me... They also sell them and I forgot to buy some! The breakfast is AWESOME! You will have a 5 star breakfast when you wake up each morning and great coffee and dessert too! Love that you can walk to downtown to some great restaurants and the market. The staff here is very knowledgeable about places to eat, see and wine taste, they will make sure you have a great experience! Go here and see Suzanna and make your Napa trip a memorable one! We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Best place to stay in Napa, hands down. 5 star rooms, service and amenities. Susan the inn keeper is super nice, rooms are clean, beds are comfy, bathrooms are upscale, breakfast in the mornings are delicious. Well worth the $$$. I will be back with friends. Why pay $500 a night for a hotel? Walking distance to downtown Napa, 10 minute drive to Bell Cellars (my Napa Valley favorite vineyard). Did I mention this place is cute, cozy and makes you feel 100% like you are a guest in someone's home. Gay friendly too! Yes!!!

Yelp
My first time staying at a B&B and I am SO glad it was with The Napa Inn. Hubby and I came to celebrate my 30th birthday and were welcomed with warmth and smiles. The lobby area of the main house was equipped with refreshments, visitor information, books, videos, games and included afternoon cheeses and snacks and evening cookies and sherry. The house itself is adorable and has a great history that you can learn more about in the lobby. We stayed in the Gables Room, which is in the 2nd home on the property, and found it to be cozy, comfortable and accommodating. Morning breakfast was delicious - consisted of a quiche, potato and cornbread + milk, juices, tea, coffee and water. You get the choice of two morning times for breakfast - we generally chose the later one at 9:15am. We were able to meet other couples and families that were also there on vacation. Later in the evenings, we took a short stroll to downtown for great dinner and entertainment options. The walk was no more than 10 minutes. We also drove less than 15 minutes to venture out to shopping and more restaurants. The map of the area is explained to you in full when you check in by the staff. All in all, a much needed vacation that was made better by staying at The Napa Inn. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
The Inn was the perfect place for us to celebrate my husband's birthday. We see a show in Napa and we're within walking distance to all of the downtown activities. The innkeeper was gracious and the breakfast delightful. The only recommendation I have is for you is to bring your own pillow and coffee for you room.

Yelp
We just returned home from a 3-day weekend in Napa celebrating my husband's 40th. I wanted to make sure everything went week and called ahead numerous times. Suzanne assured me he wouldn't be disappointed and she was right!! We arrived to a very friendly welcome and tour by Casey (spelled wrong?) and immediately felt at home and comfortable. She provided us with a wealth of information on restaurants and wineries with coupons and even made a dinner reservation for us! We enjoyed a wonderful appetizer platter of cheeses, fruits and crackers and a local winery came in for a wine tasting. We met some fantastic guests as well! Each night AMAZING cookies were provided along with port and sherry. Each morning we had a huge, hot, homemade breakfast at a traditionally set dining table. Suzanne was there again to greet us and provide recommendations and called to book a wine tour! The atmosphere in this home built in 1899 just added to the experience. I couldn't get enough of the photos and stories and decor. My husband said we will go back every year and stay there! Can't say enough great stuff about this fantastic B&B!,,

Yelp
Close to downtown Napa, Napa Inn has all the amenities you need without the high price tag. We came here on a Livingsocial deal, and was more than pleased with the room and service that we received. Even at the regular price of $299/night, it's definitely worth the price. Everyone at the Inn is super friendly, and more than happy to help if you are unfamiliar with the area or wineries. When we checked in, Casey provided us with a map and circled all the restaurants that were open for dinner. They also stock menus of all the nearby restaurants in case you want to explore options before heading out. Breakfast is served in the main dining area, and they offer plenty of coffee/juice/fresh fruit/cereal etc. in addition to the main choice. Each of the main houses also has water/tea available in the lobby, We stayed in Simeon's suite, which is located on the second floor in their second house. Even though the design of the room was on par with the Victorian feel of the building, everything was new and updated. The only caveat about Simeon's suite is that it gets hit with the afternoon sun which tends to warm up the room, and leaving the windows open at night does invite in the street noise (the inn is located in a residential area, hence why there is street noise at night). If I were to come back, I would pick a room in the main house just because it's nice to have access to the parlor and dining area. The second house is comprised of only rooms without a common area, so it loses a bit of that B&B feel. All in all, a great two night stay. The location may be a bit disappointing for those expecting the fanciness of Napa/Calistoga, but considering how close you are to downtown, you will still get to enjoy all that Napa has to offer at half the price!

Yelp
My partner and I stayed here a little while back, we showed up a bit late after scheduling 6pm arrival time. When we pulled up we were both a little surprised, it was dark out and the Inn looked like a very regular house nothing special.....I was not feel like staying in Uncle Jakes Bed and Breakfast.....But we decided to check it out specially because we had already paid for it and we were tired. We got out and went to the door, and rang the door bell. The person who answered the intercom seem to be half sleep or something weird, but before I could second guess our decision to stay here, a extremly friendly women opened the door and welcomed us in. She ushered us in to the parlor took out names, got us a drink, greeted our dog, offered to feed us and our dog after our longer then necessary trip, showed us the video and game collection available asked what we would like for breakfast, got our contract sign and our keys to our little cottage. To say the least I was impressed, this lady was really on her game, in less then 15 mins she managed to wipe away all my uneasiness about this place and put a smile on my partner and I's face. After checking -in we moved our car around to the back and by our cottage and went inside. Our cottage was adorable, we had a little garden to enjoy for ourselves and for our little guy(dog) to run around in, there was a whirlpool in the room, the bed was huge, fireplace, TV and a little fridge....everything had an attractive rustic-ish feeling to it. Once we dropped our bags at the cottage we decided to go have something to eat at a local restaurant. We had a so-so meal and came back, we decided to pop into main house and grab a drink and a board game for awhile since we were not sleepy.....we had fun for hours with the alcohol and the whirlpool. when we finally woke up the next morning we dressed, showed and went in to the main house for breakfast with some of the other people staying in the other cottages, it was a group breakfast which proved to be very cute, the people at the table were fairly interesting and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, afterwards we went back to our cottage for a few house enjoyed our time, played with the dog in the garden and enjoyed the silence away from the city!!! I am sure there are far more chic, modern, swanky places in Napa, but the Napa Valley in was perfect for peace, silence, attractive setup and appearances, as well as price!!!
