This is a must visit sight in Georgetown. Wonderful selection of local art, and sculptures, in a grand, old style, Colonial era, large wooden building, with Demerara shutters still in place. This building was the official residence of the first Prime Minister of Guyana, who it is claimed moved to another residence, as he claimed it was haunted.
After visiting, you can spend a relaxing hour or more, in our magnificent Botanical gardens, in part of which, the house stands. Take a picnic basket with you, and sit on the beautifully kept lawns, next to the Colonial era bandstand,or feed the Manatees, in the Manatee pond, right there.A truly unique experience .
