The Twin Cities’ Most Heartbreaking Restaurant Closures of 2023 - Eater Twin Cities

"But more generally, I kind of can’t believe Naughty Greek isn’t around anymore. That felt like a place that was going to get franchised — the pork gyro was crazy good, they took delivery competently into their own hands, dessert was excellent, and it really did some things that few if any of its competitors were able to pull off. Tasty food in a slick package." - Eater Staff

The best cheap eats in St. Paul | Eater Twin Cities

"Fresh, never frozen, grilled beef tenderloin slices tucked into a warm pita with fresh veggies and tangy tzatziki would be satisfying enough, but the Naughty Greek does one better, stuffing French fries into the sandwich for less than $10." - Alex Lodner

The service was incredibly slow. Ordered the traditional $10 Pork Gyro. The meat was dried out like jerky, one tomato slice and three red onion slivers topped with crusty old french fry bits. Paid $15 to understand why this place is always empty.

This is a great place for some delicious Greek Food. I tried the chicken wrap and the fries. The best part about the fries is that they make it fresh every day! I loved it and will highly recommend this place. The staff were very nice and friendly, and the ambience is nice.

Fantastic Greek food in a quick order lunch style. If you've been to their St. Paul location, then this is a "lite" version of that with some of their most popular options. You choose pita wrap, lettuce wrap, rice bowl or salad bowl and go from there. You pick your protein and add ins the same way you would at Roti or Naf Naf but with Mediterranean flavors. I had the salad bowl with Lamb & Beef kabob and my wife had the Chicken Pita wrap and we split a "Naughty Fry". The best part of this place is the true Greek style fries which are covered in feta and greek seasoning. Having been to Greece several times I can attest to how close to the real deal the food is here. Everything we've tried so far we've enjoyed. I would have given this a 5/5 but would have liked another kabob in the salad and maybe have it be more tender but those are minor complaints. The salad and fries were large enough that I have another meal leftover.

Today I ordered the “German Döner” being German and coming from Germany I was excited that they had a döner on the menu. This was my first time in the restaurant. Service was great, the lemonade is on point ♥️ But the döner gyro meat was so dry, the pita was chewy/tough like a rubber band! No flavor whatsoever so every, everything had a separate flavor nothing flowed together ant all. I ate one half and tossed the other half. Fries were quit salty which was disappointing as well because I love that fry crunch! Disappointing, but if you want a good lemonade not to sweet with great flavor! Def worth stopping in as for the döner, not so much.

Most of my bowl tasted like the bottom of a badly sorted chipotle burrito. Bad ratios and questionable ingredients. The spicy tzatziki added a lot of heat with zero alteration to the flavor which was highly unpleasant—it was like eating sour cream that made my mouth hurt.

I ordered the pork gyro and was less then thrilled. My food was cold, my pork meat was dried out and burnt. There was hardly any sauce on it and had like 2 silvers of onion. I also ordered the Orange Filo cake which was moist and had good flavors though.

The staff was nice and the food was acceptable/average. I was surprised to learn that some traditional Greek toppings are not included. Kalomata olives and feta cheese are both extra; I was willing to pay an additional 10-12% of my meal price for a side of olives (with pits, not included on my meal). Overall it was very overpriced, but it was decent food. I will also caveat this by recognizing their location downtown (convenient and expensive in general) and fewer people in downtown Minneapolis over the last year.

Google
Fantastic Food! The Best Feta and Honey I have ever had. Reading the other reviews on here remind me that if you put 12 people in a room and asked them 1 question, you'd get 12 different opinions. I found it easy to order and if you have questions, you only have to ask before paying. Love this Place!!! I can't wait until it reopens in the Skyway again!! Yum!!

Yelp
We had two lunches and it was over $39.00. Too expense for the ok quality food. My salad was not very good and meat dry and over cooked. I didn't take a picture of our other lunch but you can a much better gyro much cheaper elsewhere. Parking not the best either. Gave it three because it was a nice place with decent fries.

Yelp
The food is pretty good here! I ordered the small platter with fries and Spanikopita. The fries were good, but soggy. Although the food was decent, prices are really high and deceiving. The platter said $7 on the menu and said it included fries, but when I paid, I had to pay for the fries separate. So the platter is actually $12. The Spanikopita is $7 but very small. About 2 inches by 2 inches. I paid over $20 total for my meal that was decent, but I likely wouldn't return.

Yelp
Food is good and tasty but it's one of the most expensive lunches I have had in a downtown skyway restaurant. $3.99 for a can of San Pellegrino when you can buy a 6 pack for 5.99 at Target seemed a little excessive. Not sure if I will be back anytime soon. There are other Gyro places around.

Yelp
This places get a 5 star for being open and running well in times of COVID. Overall quality is a 4-4.5. Very good! Ordered the pork gyro wrap. Good flavors, and the fries in the wrap take it up a notch!! I want to go back to try the bowl version and the soups. They were fast, friendly, and place was clean and physically distant. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
Their original location is not far from where I live and I've thoroughly enjoyed their food and the experiences I've had there since they opened that first spot. Imagine how thrilled I was to learn there was going to be a new location in my work building in downtown Mpls! The food is wonderful (fresh, flavorful, delicious, different), the staff is lovely (welcoming, friendly, genuine), and the space has gotten a great update. I also love that they have a grab-and-go cooler (salads, hummus, eggplant spread, cheese spread, etc.) and will definitely be frequenting it when I need a quick lunch or snack. So glad to have you in Capella Tower, TNG!
