From a TomKen’s alum, these wings use a three-step method for charred skin and juicy meat, with rotating sauces like Greek Freak and CB2. Covered by OnMilwaukee and praised by neighborhood regulars; the official site confirms hours.

Google
The service was okay, but my biggest complaint was the food. I guys I don’t know what I was expecting for bar food, but the reviews tricked me a bit. I got the: Kobe beef sliders: 6.8/10 (pretty decent) Buffalo Mac: 2/10 (overall not good. chicken was cold and Mac was probably worst I’ve ever had). Overall, wasn’t upset I went but wouldn’t go back.

Google
Love this place! There wings are really good, lots of sauce options to choose from. Their chips are excellent too! It’s great place to stop and have a couple two tree beers!

Google
An excellent spot for food and beer. Both menus had great selections and the food was excellent. Very comfortable inside with a nice bar area and plenty of tables. Our experience was excellent. The fish sandwich was delicious as was the Maibock beer I chose. You need to go.

Google
This place is always just the best! It’s cozy, the wings are amazing, and the drinks are flowing. I’ve never had a bad experience. Another HUGE positive… the inside is renovated! It’s not a dumpy dark dive bar. It’s a local spot with a great ambiance. The place can get crowded and isn’t huge - groups under 10 are definitely recommended. Street parking only around there, so be prepared to walk a little. But it’s not insane.

First time at the Neighbor Draft,we loved it! The service was great and we enjoyed our lunch. My husband had the fish fry and I ordered the wings and street corn. Great! We will be back.

First time at Neighborhood Draft. A group of my friends went on a Wednesday night and it was packed! Luckily we were greeted and seated right away. Its not a very large place - about 10ish tables + bar seating. Lots of TVs to watch sports. I love a good bar with a good tap list and they had just that. They have a good variety of 21 beers on tap - most of them local! I was actually surprised at their reasonable prices for their food. We split the fried pickles which were fried pickle chips and were hands down the best fried pickles I've ever had. Very lightly breaded and served with ranch. The grilled wings are where it's at though. You get 10 wings with 1 sauce per order - they have about 10 sauces to choose from. And the wings are huge! I had the carolina sauce which had a great flavor and wasn't overly saucy. Comes served with carrots, ranch, and a mustard sauce. Everyone else with me had great things to say about their food from the brisket grilled cheese to the French onion soup and the fried chicken. Our server was very attentive and checked on our table several times. We heard there's a garden patio in the back so can't wait to come back and check this place out in the summer! Highly recommend!

Google
I tried Neighborhood Draft for the first time a few weeks back and fell in love. I've been back multiple times already. The service is fantastic, the food is delicious and affordable. The chopped salad is a must, and you need to try the chicken wings or fried chichen. Top notch all around! Excellent beer, wine, and cocktail menu. Highly recommend.

Google
Great northern bar atmosphere with a large selection of beers at not craft beer prices. Exceptional food. Southe. Cooked to order. I would bet it was brined. Light breading. My wife was equally impressed with the fish bites. Great prices. Highly recommend. rners for 51 years. If have had so.e fried chicken. This was spot on

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this establishment for quite some time since I live very close. We tried the olive brought a salad, which was fresh and delicious. We also tried the empanadas which I absolutely loved. It was served with two sauces a Verde sauce and a chipotle, sour cream, I prefer the Verde sauce, The Parm herb fries, which were actually my least favorite, the kobe beef sliders, and the star of the show which was the grilled wings. I opted for the Korean barbecue sauce and it was spicy and sweet at the same time. I would definitely suggest this adorable little bar.

Yelp
This place is too legit to quit! Everytime I visit, I fall in love with it a little bit more. The service is always stellar and I can't get enough of the wings, the fish sandwich and the housemade chips. Beer selection is on point and parking is usually pretty easy and close by. If you haven't been to this joint yet, what are you waiting for?

Yelp
My favorite wing spot in the city. They have a variety of sauces but honestly you can do no wrong on the menu. They have great shareable plates like their Fried fish bites (served everyday) and their salads are always fresh and really tasty. Their staff is extremely welcoming and happy to share some of the new menu items as well as their favorites as well. The space is cozy so if you have a larger group I believe that can accommodate if you give them a heads up and call ahead. The wings are the star of the show - always really flavorful, tangy, and have a really good char and crunch to them yet super juicy. Brance is always such a good time and really insightful around sports and many of the random things he's passionate about. Really good gem within the neighborhood.

Yelp
Amazing food for a sports bar! Had a great deal on beer too and plenty of TVs. Service was good as well. It checks all my boxes for a great sports bar and I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
wings and chicken and beer. Not the most memorable of places for me personally, for the good or for the bad. Good vibes, and great service.

Yelp
Love the chicken wings here and the McDowell Fish sandwich is killer--it's so good that it's hard to order anything else and has become my go to.

Yelp
Great place, easy neighborhood vibe with great food, menu and service. Husband had the fried chicken which he said was excellent. I had the fish bites and they were great too. Tons of beer options plus a few other choices. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was the new restaurant of the week and a long time bookmark and I finally made it over for a cocktail and some food. The place is a nice looking neighborhood bar/restaurant with a overhead glass door, nice bar and dining room. I ordered a Gin Rickey and the fish fry with the friendly bar tender. The tables have clip boards with menus so I didn't know if this was one of those places where you fill out the menu and turn it in but no pens anywhere so I go to the bar and I ask and he says no I will come to your table. The gin Rickey was good with a nice presentation. The two piece fish fry with potato pancakes looked good and the potato pancakes look homemade. The fish was flaky beer battered cod and not huge pieces hence the $11. The cod was tender with a thin crunchy batter. OMG the potato pancakes are homemade with a crunchy shell and a soft potato center. The tarter sauce was very average. No rye bread which was odd for a WI Friday fish fry. I had to ask about the potato pancakes and yes they are made in house weekly I was told. The fish fry is on the every day menu which is nice to know because maybe Monday I want a fish fry. Overall this was a decent fish fry and serving homemade potato pancakes was the icing on the cake because few places serve them when frozen is the norm.

Yelp
Really solid. I tried some wings and the brisket gilled cheese. The gilled cheese was just ok. It needs something else to elevate the flavor profile, imo. The wings were really good. I'd like to try more of their wing sauces and some of their other offerings.

Yelp
Neighborhood Draft is an unexpected delight. I've been here on a few occasions--for drinks, for apps, and for lunch--it's great for all. On all visits, if the weather is at all cooperative, I'd recommend sitting on their patio. It's in the back. You can either walk through the bar/restaurant to it or take the side gate directly there from outside. Either way, it's lovely and I highly recommend. Most recently, I visited for lunch. I ordered their beet salad, which is outstanding. It's incredibly fresh and flavorful. I also got an order of their greek fried. These I didn't enjoy as much. They weren't crispy or flavorful at all and had a cardboard-like quality. The dipping sauce was good but it wasn't enough to make up for the lackluster fries (not sure if it was just an off day?). Their beer list is wonderful. I enjoyed a stout with my lunch. The service is also wonderful! Get to it!

Yelp
Good food, cool place, but the bartender was inexplicably very unpleasant to my daughter and I. Won't be back anytime soon. Unfortunate.

Yelp
Came here for the first time to watch the game. We sat at the bar. I ordered the cherry pie Ope seltzer, and I am very happy that they carry these here because it is one of my favorite breweries. It was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend and I shared an order of boneless wings, and they were also very very good . Bartenders are very attentive. We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Of late, I've had consistently good food at this very popular "neighborhood" bar. A low key place but very comfortable. Though not promoted as a sports bar, each time there has been a game /sports event when there, the TV's behind the far are tuned in. There are a dozen or more tappers (see my pic) behind the long bar and an array of normal booze as well as high-end spirits. Everyone I've ever been served by here is friendly and accommodating. Of late, Brant was my bartender and server; a very efficient, friendly and excellent mixologist. The fried chicken and chicken wing choices here are outstanding. Owner Brian Felton has the family background and know-how to make fried chicken (see my pic) at its best, so if this is your first time going, try the chicken!

Yelp
I am 5 minutes away and have drove past this place more times you can shake a stick at and thought it was about time to check the place out especially with the good things I've heard about it. Me and a girlfriend of mine stopped here for dinner this past Friday and it was nice to try something new for a change. It's not a big place, but it is warm and intimate. It was busy so we were in luck and was able to score two seats at the bar. One of the things I did look forward to was the mystery beer machine but was informed that it's out of commission and I was a little bummed, but what made up for it was the Coor's Banquet. I believe this is the first time I ever seen it served in the glass bottles in a restaurant which made me happy. Me and my friend both went with the 2-piece beer battered fish fry. For me I went with fries for my potato and my friend chose the potato pancake. The fish was nice and flaky and the fish was lightly battered. As mentioned in previous fish dinner reviews, I am not a tartar sauce person so I was happy with the provided lemon slices but thought this fish can use some malt vinegar. They didn't have any bottles of it but the guy behind the bar was accommodating and went to the kitchen to get me a little sauce up with some. Also not to mention the fries were hot and crispy and the buttered rye bread. For the price and quality it was worth it. I just know in the future to get here early especially on a Friday and will be back for the chicken dinner.
google avatar

Kristin G.

Yelp
Yup, totally get it. The wings are killer good. Grilled and flavored and tender. Pub itself is casual and dark, so come as you are happy and order a pint to wash down the spice. Also, I would put this up against a few other popular wing joints in town and would argue that these wings are far superior.

Yelp
I gave it four shots before giving up - I really wanted to love a local little spot I could walk to for dinner and drinks, but it just was really bad every time I tried. The first time we had half an hour to wait for dinner, which is fine. The seating is strange with a large hightop kind of counter smack in the middle where we were getting nudged and bumped the whole time. I ordered an item I haven't seen on their menu since; the server described it to me as a sort of shepherd's pie with potato, meat, and vegetables. It really was a pile of dry fries with barely melted shredded cheese and some random sour cream blobs. I had a couple of bites and didn't even take it home. The second time I tried the Kobe beef sliders and again, barely finished one. It was SO DRY. There were a couple of 'stout onions' and again the slice of cheese was barely melted, which offered no relief to the overcooked meat and dried-out buns. Didn't bring the leftovers home. The third time we went for beer and wings. I haven't heard a whisper of negativity towards the wings and was super excited. The one star is for the wings - they are large and tasty. The sauces weren't very flavorful though, and for $15 per 10 wings, it just wasn't worth it to me. Last time was THE last time. I had a prime rib french dip sandwich to go from the Bastille Days block party. I got home and they had neglected to include the dipping jus, so I had a dry bun with dry meat slices. I just pulled it apart and ate it. Cut to 3:00 am and let me just say it was a couple hours of misery - I'll leave it to the imagination. After being so sick from the last visit, and having no other redeeming visits, I am sad to say I won't be back.

Yelp
Wings were just ok. Service was super friendly and nice. Picked up to go, but the vibe was kinda cute when I walked in.

Yelp
Little hole in the wall with great beer selection and awesome food. I had the waygu beef sliders on pretzel buns with a side of roasted beets. Both were awesome. My wife had a salad and our guest had the spicy chicken sandwich and Parmesan fries. Everyone was very pleased. Service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Came on a Thursday night after work with some coworkers. I ordered the Kobe beef beer burger sliders and the mac and cheese. The food was a solid 3/5. Service was good for having only one waitress for the night. She did an good job checking in on us.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The food is second to none!!! Best Grilled Wings in the state of Wisconsin hands-down! I highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Met up with friends and heard to get there early for a table. Busy place on a Saturday night. The wings were amazing. The table had both bone-in and boneless with two sauces and everyone loved what they had. We also had the steak fries and tagine fries. I wasn't a huge fan of either fries but others in the group were raving about the tagine fries. The wings did it for me. Perfectly crispy with a side of sauce for extra dunking. We were given room to catch up but also had a few servers checking in for drinks and things. May have a wait but it's worth it.

Yelp
Great staff, fun atmosphere, enjoyed our meal. We sat at the bar and I'd definitely return when I find myself in the neighborhood again

Yelp
This place is the cutest little townie spot! And the food is good. Ordered the Greek fries - they were just ok. Definitely could have been crispier. The wings were absolutely fantastic, though. Tons of flavor and cooked to perfection. The jalapeño dip had the perfect amount of spice and the chips are soooo addicting. This place is pretty small and cozy. It was pretty steady busy while we were there but I can imagine there's a wait at times.

Yelp
Nice first visit to Neighborhood Draft in the nice Washington Heights neighborhood! I bellied up to the bar, and there you have several TVs for the sports. Service was pretty good all night. I kind of ate like a king all night, and started with the beets which had pistachios and feta (I love beets!), ordered the spicy chicken sandwich on recommendation from a friend who was also dining in that night, and it did not dissapoint! (They also recommended the fish sandwich.) The sweet potato fries with garlic aioli was great, too. The craft draft list is good, and the price point of everything is appropriate for a neighborhood bistro. Will be back!

Yelp
First time going here because I heard it could be the best wings in the area. I got the Jamaican me hottest 10 wings for 14$ but honestly the first bites weren't mouthwatering as I thought they would be. Good large wings but they burnt the wings a little too much giving a dry flavor at time. The onion rings had a lighter batter which was alright while the chipotle lime ranch dipping sauce was super good. My recommendation would be to put the lime ranch sauce on the wings as a flavor choice. The price was a little high at 22$ after tax and before tip for onion rings and 10 piece wings. Lastly the service was very welcoming and enjoyable. With that being said, I'll give them a 4/5 due to the large wing size and lime ranch sauce. Above average.

Yelp
This place is our go to for appetizers and drinks. The atmosphere is beautiful and classy. The food is top notch. Great place to meet people and in good weather you can sit outside. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Yelp
Words cannot describe my excitement, joy, and appreciation to have this restaurant right down the street. It is the perfect spot for Washington Heights. The right cocktail of mixed drinks, good wine, and one of the best draft selections in the city. The vibe is great- I could go here with my husband for a date night and get a nicer meal, or go to watch a game and enjoy the best wings in town. They have also been a life saver during the pandemic. Again, since they are right down the street you can't beat the convenience for me but even if they weren't, they're carry-out is one of the best experiences I've had. You order online (easy), pay online (excellent), and they immediately send you a message with the (ACCURATE) time it will be ready. And when you get there they bring it to your car (when you order they ask for the make and model and keep an eye out for you!). Seriously one of the only restaurants during covid that have this done well. Other restaurants have given me a ready time and I get there and have to wait another 10, 15, 30 minutes for my food to be ready. Another thing they are winning at during covid is how they do carry out meals. Every day they have a different meal that generally feeds 4-5 or you can order a la carte if you want a smaller amount. Every single thing I have eaten is so good. I generally don't love fish/seafood in general but I LOVE their fish fry (my husband and I need to fight over the last piece! Haha). Also hot ham and rolls on Sunday! Plus a huge amount of their delicious pub chips with homemade blue cheese dip (again, not usually a fan of blue cheese but I love this dip!) - all for $12! This is my Sunday go-to. Reminds me of my childhood More things I love (yeah that's right there's more): The patio!!!! Who doesn't love a good patio in Wisconsin. We got like 3 solid months (maybe) of good weather so when we have it we want to take advantage and be outside. They got a great beer garden vibe patio- super chill but comfy. I could stay there all day. And I'd be remiss to forget the Elton Felton!!!! Best part of this local spot for sure. It's my husband's favorite. It is a vending machine that you can order a $2 "mystery beer" from. Most of the time it's something light and cheap like Hamm's or PBR but once in a while there will be a fun craft surprise. And really, for $2 you can never go wrong!

Yelp
Great food and service, generally solid tap and bottle list. Neighborhood Draft is a neighborhood gem. Brisket grilled cheese forever!

Yelp
Another great spot in the Heights! Neighborhood Draft just opened last night and by 6pm there wasn't a seat left. We were lucky and had scored bar seats. If you visited Maison or Meritage, the new space isn't drastically different. Walls are lighter, there's a row of TV's above the bar and more casual furniture. Because it was opening night, the menu was limited but there were plenty of things we found appealing. The owner and some of the staff are veterans of TomKens, so you will see some familiar things on the menu. We started with drinks - they've got a nice wine list, a half dozen taps and a full bar. OR you can try your luck at the MYSTERY BEER VENDING MACHINE. That's right, for just $2 you could get a Hamm's, a local microbrew or ???? Food wise we had fried pickle chips (same as TomKens - absolutely delicious), dry rub wings (huge, meaty, not at all greasy or fatty. Better than TomKens IMO), fish fry bites (the Mister said they were light and tasty) and Sunday Ham Sticks. That last one is ham and cheese rolled into a wonton and served with mustard - you can have that after church meal anytime now! Staff are still finding their groove but managed to keep glasses full. We had a great time chatting with friendly bartender Joe. Prices are reasonable and everything we tried was excellent! Looking forward to seeing more menu items as they're open longer. Welcome to the Heights, Neighborhood Draft!!

Yelp
Wings were fantastic! Fries on the same level! Drinks and service was great! Ambiance had a Wisconsin dive bar feel. Will be back again!

Yelp
Fantastic service! Called ahead for a table and it was waiting for our group of 6 when we got there 10 minutes early. I don't believe they take reservations for parties less than 6 so we were thrilled to get a reservation and be seated so quickly. It was a Friday night so I had the fish fry with potato pancakes. It was one of the best cod fish fries I've had in Milwaukee. My Old Fashioned was perfectly made and the wine options ( I had a house cab) were very drinkable and priced right. The whole table enjoyed their meals and the ambiance is fun and lively. This is an absolutely terrific restaurant that the neighborhood very much needed.
google avatar

Dianne C.

Yelp
Very nice addition to the neighborhood. Love the beer selection. Be sure to check out the Elton Felton vending machine of mystery beer! I hear the wings are awesome and will Keep you updated.
google avatar

Mike R.

Yelp
Great place to hang out and have a drink! They have a really good selection on tap including local beers from Third Space and Eagle Park Brewing. Our server was very attentive and helped suggest food and drinks. We went for drinks and dinner, while the drinks were good I couldn't recommend the food. It was consistently bad across the many different items we tested; Wings- best option on the menu, but I didn't love them Tacos- dry and lacking flavor Beet salad - dry Onion rings - ok Kobe sliders - decent I will go again, but NOT to eat a meal!
google avatar

Rick R.

Yelp
Tried it for the first time last week, and I will definitely be back. I got a beer and the Buffalo Mac and cheese with blue cheese crumbles. I used to order a similar dish back when Hooligans had it, but this was as good or better. Very generous portion. I will be back to explore the rest of the menu, but I'll be tempted to order the same thing since it was so good.
google avatar

Kelly R.

Yelp
It's hard not to absolutely love this place! We've visited a couple of times with friends and the experience has been wonderful every time. The food is delicious, with a little bit of something for everyone. The staff are laid-back, fun, friendly -- making you feel right at home. The back patio is NOT to be missed during the summer, but of course, I'd highly recommend the bar when you can snag it, where Mike will take great care of your beer or wine glass. Favorite bites for me so far have been the wings, jalpeno dip starter, ham/cheese rolls app, and sliders. If you're a wine drinker, the house rose is deliciously cripsy and dry. We used to live up the street, and if we still did, you better believe we'd be regulars. Get here!

Yelp
Had really high hopes for Neighborhood Draft as the main chef from Tomkens opened this place. To begin, the service was below average. We were the only ones in the restaurant at noon and our drinks were consistently empty. With that said, our food did come out in a timely manner. We started with the ham & cheese wonton wraps. These were the highlight of the lunch. Good flavor. Cooked perfectly. Each wrap only has one long slice of ham. Knowing the cook came from Tomkens we of course tried the wings. If you are expecting Tomkens type wings you are at the wrong place. They are cooked in the sauce and then finished on the grill and served with a side of whatever sauce you choose. They do not have a breading option at all. We got a few sauces but honestly all just tasted like a charcoal of the grill. Very dry and not as moist as we would have liked. Almost tasted like they were reheated. All of us agreed on this. After the wing we tried the koby beef sliders which were pretty disgusting. The meat was overcooked to well done and the toasted pretzel buns were old and hard. We brought the rest home for our dog. She disagreed with our review and said they were " delightful." But then again she loves any human food. So yah.... My fiancé got boneless wings which were cold. We can only assume they got finished before our other food and sat in back. Sadly, this place is a bust. I can't picture myself returning until they have a major overhaul to menu.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Had some great beers (fat squirrel and Maui strong), Kobe sliders, and grilled wings with Greek freak sauce - all delicious. Bartenders were attentive. Nice, easygoing vibe for a Saturday afternoon. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
My wife and I really enjoyed Neighborhood Draft. We were looking for a new Friday fish fry spot So we stopped in based on a recommendation. Long story short we didn't have the very attractively priced fry but we did enjoy a number of small plate options, all excellent. So beside the excellent quality and preparation the food arrived on time and hot. The room is very nice and clean with a laid back vibe and our server, Crystal was efficient, professional and very pleasant. We live close therefore well be back often. If you live within 25 miles you should definitely check it out.

Brian B.

Yelp
Great food and always new options! Great local bar vibes and nice patio in the summer time.

Janelle L.

Yelp
The service here is fantastic. The drink list is extensive, as are the rotating taps which often include a variety of types of beer (not just a bunch of IPAs ). The food is quality. Three stars, though, as they are in serious need of more vegetarian options.
google avatar

Kevin M.

Yelp
Very nice neighborhood bar and grill. We went before a Brewers game. The bar itself was fairly small but had a patio with a number of large picnic table where we sat which was really enjoyable. The menu had a nice variety of selections and the beer selection was very good. Finally our waitress was very attentive and made sure our meals and drinks got to us in time for us to get to the game on time. Would definitely go back again.

Kylie F.

Yelp
The JB3 and sweet potato fries were to die for- the drinks were amazing and the service was so polite and overall- a really great experience. Thank you!

Yelp
I've been here several times since they opened, for dine in service and takeout. The wings are awesome, and I always receive good service. I prefer bone-in chicken wings, but you have to try their boneless wings, they are the best. They are not like other wing places that serve you chicken nuggets, their is no breading on them but they are crispy on the outside. Seriously you have to try the boneless wings! You also need to try "The Greek Freak" sauce, it's one of the best in the city. You may be wondering why a such a low rating, seeing as how I just raved about the food and service. I ordered take out last week, and per usual the food was spot on. The problem was the complete lack of any of any type of Covid precautions. The establishment is small, and was not busy in fact their was only one table that customers were sitting at. The bar was another story. It was at least 80% full and the groups of customers were not 6ft. away from each other. Not only employee (or patron, besides myself) was wearing a mask. They had only one pen at the register for people to sign receipts with, and it was not cleaned in between people using it. Including myself, I saw 6 different people used the pen, while I was waiting to for my food. The sad part is the last time I ordered take out back in April, all the employees wore masks and appeared to take the virus seriously. I'm definitely looking forward to going back, since the food is great, but it might be awhile before I order again.

Yelp
Had the family fish fry. The corn, potato, cheddar bisque may be the best tasting soup that I have ever eaten. Really great potato pancakes. Drove 15 minutes home before we ate and the fish was still crispy. The fries were indeed fluffy like other reviewers stated. We needed to add a little salt to both, others may not. I enjoy plain raw cabbage, so the lighly dressed coleslaw was crunchy and perfect for me. My husband really only enjoys a traditional creamy coleslaw and did not care for this; it's just a preference... and his is wrong! Also tried the chicken and waffles. The chicken was better than average, nothing special. But it really didn't need to be as the waffle was perfect and the burbon syrup was deliciously different. Cant wait to try something else off the menu... and for for more of that soup!

Yelp
zOMG, the wings. Really. If Yelp allowed it, the words above are all that is needed. I've heard there are other good things on the menu, you'll have to read others' reviews about that, but when I go to Neighborhood Draft, besides beer, I'm there for the wings. I've tried four kinds so far and they've all been superstars. I'm thrilled because that means I no longer have to drive to Hales Corners or Milwaukee's east side to enjoy the best wings. As for other stuff, it's a friendly neighborhood pub and grill, much as the name suggests. They've got an old soda machine that dispenses potluck beers for $2 a pop. Whatcha gonna get? Nobody knows, but we've never received an outright clunker out of "Elton Felton." At worst, an Old Milwaukee, but at best, it could be a Bells Two-Hearted or possibly something even better. (Not possible -- Bells Two-Hearted is a personal fave.) So happy Neighborhood Draft moved in. Perhaps I'll see ya there sometime. I'll be the one at the bar eating wings like Cookie Monster eats cookies. Yum. Yum. Yum.

Yelp
A perfect fit for the neighborhood, just like an old pair of jeans!!! Let me start off by saying that I love the Washington Heights. We moved here four years ago all the way from Tosa (a whole 14 blocks) and we have never looked back. The sense of "neighborhood" is strong here, far more so than our last neighborhood. In four years, I feel way more at home than I did in 13 years in Tosa. Why is that? Because of places like Tusk, Charles E. Fromage, and Wy'east. All neighborhood spots that have opened in the last few years. Add to that list the Neighborhood Draft. What do all of these places have in common? We can walk into each of them and be treated like family, a large extended family that includes every one in the 'hood! But enough about me. Here are the top ten reasons why the Neighborhood Draft is Awesome! 1. Sunday Ham Rolls (can be ordered any day). Ham and American cheese deep fried in a wonton wrapper? Yes please. 2. Joe knows how I like my BOF. He won't even let anyone else make me one. Such loyalty after only three visits! 3. Friday Fish Fry Balls! (Again- order any day). The fine folks at St. Sebs. have some competition!! jk - seriously, St. Sebs. rocks a church fish fry like no other. 4. French Onion Soup. $5.00? Seriously? Did they find an old recipe in the kitchen from Meritage?? 5. A great playlist. Clearly the owner and I both came of age in the 80's. From Prince to Johnny Cash to the Clash. They have it all!! 6. The service. See above. This place has been slammed and everyone busts their humps to take care of you. Great teamwork! 7. The clientele. Everyone we have spoken to lives close demonstrating how needed a place like this is. If you build it, they will come!! 8. The location. ND puts the Neighbor in Neighborhood. Doors are always open when you want them to be, closed when the should be (Midnight). 9. Those wings!! Only Tomken's finest!! 10. Mystery beer vending machine! Worth a roll for $2!! I've gotten some gems, and some not gems. For $2, always worth the laugh! Neighborhood Draft - get there!!

Yelp
This place just opened about a week ago and we have been keeping an eye on it since we only live a few blocks away. The previous restaurant that occupied that space was French cuisine that some would consider fine dining. It didn't last very long. Neighborhood Draft on the other hand is a nice addition to the Washington Heights neighborhood that should be a mainstay. It fits in with the local scene that was desperate for a a place you can get quality food and drinks at a reasonable price. Neighborhood Draft checks all the boxes. We came in on a Wednesday nIght and the place was bustling. We took a seat at the spacious bar and I ordered a "mystery beer", playfully called the Elton Felton Mystery Machine on the drink menu. It's vending machine at the end of the bar that spits out a random can of beer. All the beers are $2 and it's a mix of domestics and craft. My first one landed me an Old Milwaukee. On my second attempt I got a Third Space IPA. My wife got a cream ale from Enlightened Brewery. It's a fun concept and for the price you really can't go wrong. They have a decent selection of taps but I was told they will be adding 15 more to the bar in the coming days. Since the owner has ties to TomKens we knew we had to order the wings. We got an order of the Buff Garlic and Creole. 5 wings per order and they did not disappoint! Next up were the tacos of the week. This week's featured pork belly with jalapeños, avocado and sour cream. They were solid but lacked flavor. We also ordered the Cajun fries which had the right amount of seasoning and went great with the aioli sauce. All in all it was a successful first trip and we will be back to sample the other menu items and look forward to the additional tap beers they will soon have. Glad to have this place around, it's sure to be a staple and will thrive in Washington Heights. Welcome to the neighborhood!
