"The vibes are immaculate at the Nest. Owner Antonio Appling serves an undeniably Black Southern menu with a distinctly Southern California point of view in a fairly new location. The biscuits and gravy are incredible, while the breakfast torta with roasted pork is on point. This is the place to congregate with friends and family on weekends." - Mona Holmes, Brian Addison

This place is a MUST for your breakfast and brunch needs. Everything from the service to the food was on point. I’m usually someone that struggles to chose between sweet and savory dishes but the way their menu is laid out, I was excited to find out I could order potato tacos and get a side of French toast! Every plate we ordered was delicious- highly recommend. Thank you to our server Ashley for the recommendations!

OMG!!!! This place is EVERYTHING!!! The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere!! The he music is on point!!! The vibe is a whole vibe!!! Family owned and operated The Nest is a must when in the area… let’s be honest it’s worth the drive. Now let’s be clear pack ur patience and don’t show up hangry because you can’t rush this type of perfection. The attention to detail and the effort in the service is phenomenal! I had the bacon waffle and crispy potatoes and the og flight!!! I had to stop myself because my own one fat girl knew she was full but my mouth wanted more!!! The biscuits and gravy were seasoned to perfection (I ate some of my husband’s… and my brothers lol) This fed my soul. No The Nest slander will be tolerated! I WILL BE BACK!!! And if ur looking for some good food THIS IS IT!!!

Food that actually makes you do a happy dance. It’s fresh, colorful and bursting (and I do mean bursting) with diverse flavors and the textures were impeccable — like really, HOW did you get your sweet potatoes like that!!? The huge flakes of sea salt were a great topping. It’s not often I eat each bite of my meal and literally dance in my seat. Yum, yum and YUM. The coffee is perfectly intense and its flavor palette so clear and vibrant. Service was friendly and fast. They didn’t pay me for this review lol and I normally never leave 5 stars… but this little unexpected place was the absolute best breakfast experience to date. Love ❤️

The cutest spot with the best coffee and service. Our server Ashley was amazing. She made sure we were well taken care of from the food expectations to the coffee. Highly recommend. 😍

I did a quick search after my workout and decided to check out this spot. Really cool vibe and quality breakfast. I look forward to bringing family and friends! Brought my wife the next day and tried their delicious Benny's!

Ok so I came back (the inner fat girl wants what she wants ok… don’t judge) because in my mind I was like there is no way it was that good right? I was pleasantly proved wrong! In spite of being much busier on this Friday morning The Nest slapped just as it did the day before when they were slower and under staffed! The quality was still on point!!! I got the bites this time because I knew I wasn’t going to finish (the portions are not for the dainty eater and my dad SMASHED the leftover and called me to ask where I got them from so it was still good the next day fyi) the og mimosa flight get you RIGHT! The atmosphere was perfect! Every table was full with people comfortably chatting and smiling and all nodding in approval as they took bites of their food! Everyone is welcome and the staff is all very attentive! This place is doing things!!! Y’all if ur scrolling through google trying to figure out where to eat… trust me when I say…. THIS IS THE SPOT!!!! I promise every time I come home to visit this is where breakfast will be had at The Nest! Apparently they have a chef night y’all and I will be intentional about making a trip down on a week when they are having one for sure (I live 12hrs away)! O and make sure u watch out for the most adorable waiter (the owners son) who is serious about his job! (He’s also the one on the scooter getting his zoomies out) Bellflower has a gem… get familiar! lol

Hello hello…can you believe it’s my first time here? I visited their other location multiple times with family and friends when arriving from a long trip away from home and also just on my own to enjoy their comfort food delicious delights… Today enjoying the company of a dear friend and pairing that with some delicious coffee and our breakfast choices made it even more special. We arrived early parking was easy and keep in mind street parking is only for 2 hours but there’s a lot right next to the restaurant with Park and Pay availability for quick access and convenience. Atmosphere was great staff was super welcoming and asked if we had been there before…as I said we got there early so we could even pick where we wanted to sit and no waiting they do have indoor and outdoor seating for your choice… Green chilaquiles with pork pieces and thick green savory tomatillo sauce with sautéed onion slices that were just a perfect combination of spice and juicy meaty pork pieces with a bit of pork fat that has been browned to perfection before adding that to the green sauce to continue doing it’s marvelous interaction yummm and yummm topped with some queso fresco, sour cream and scoop of guacamole garnished with cilantro side of choice we picked custard French Toast cinnamon & sugar whipped butter for me Waffle with Bacon and Maple Syrup for my friend which we shared too and it was sweet savory but melt in your mouth Deliciosamente Maravilloso una fiesta en mi boca 🤤😋Our food was mouth watering in every single bite we took as we caught up with each others lives…two hours of Great Company and outstanding breakfast couldn’t have been a better choice than the Nest! Yes I will return and definitely on a weekday for sure…when you swing by and see a line out the door you know the place is hands down Excellent!! It did get super busy but staff was very attentive…Nothing beats coming to a place and feeling that the staff has that spark to make you feel good while you’re enjoying your food and attending to your needs… Keep up the amazing work ladies…🌻as we continue to celebrate woman’s day I feel very happy that I picked this place to celebrate this amazing woman in my friendship circle…who loved the food and said we would return for mimosas the next time around🌻🥰✅💯for those with special needs even though it was busy I was able to move my walker around freely to get to where I needed to go with no issues.

Yelp
First time coming here. It was their soft opening, although they have been in business for 10 years. Under new ownership is what I read. They did have a little wait, but I love how they were keeping me updated, via text and in person. They have a full bar, which is great while you wait. They had a new cocktail they were trying out, so they gave it to me on the house, it was a hibiscus/watermelon and it was really good. I had the short rib with eggs and crispy potatoes and it was really good. I also tried their waffle with bacon bits and that was also good. The pancakes are huge. They have a patio so this is a great spot for summer dining. Met the owner Antonio and he was very nice and welcoming. There is a parking lot next tot eh building but they charge, I believe it's the cities parking lot. You can park around a the corner for free. Totally worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood!

Yelp
This place is so cute and aesthetic and a perfect place to have cute brunch with the girls ! The service was good but the waiter kept taking forever to get to our table... I do think the items were over priced for breakfast! Parking was okay! You can park in their parking lot or on the street! I had their chilequiles and they were not spicy.. I was disappointed because I thought it was gonna taste like the other nest restaurant! When I tried asking for salsa, they wanted to charge me :( Would I come again? Maybe... if I was invited...

Yelp
Purchased a Groupon a while back and had to use it before it expired. Location was a little difficult to find as the GPS navigated the location a block away (for future reference it's next to Fronk's). Place is nice and airy. Employees are very friendly and Coleen was our server and very attentive. As for the food, it's very tasty and high quality. Portion sizes are average. The pancakes were perfect as were the eggs and bacon. The blueberry mojito was tasty as well and Coleen gave us the lil overpour left over. Why the 5 star rating you say? Well, mainly cause it was overpriced for what you get. 21 bucks for a pancake combo (2 pancakes, probably 2 scrambled eggs and 3 pieces of bacon). I'm also a cook breakfast at home type of person cause I'd rather spend money out for lunch or dinner instead. Even with the groupon and tip it came to 61.00! However, if you're not a drinker don't order any alcohol but give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We really wanted to come to the special event, Chef Series 8.0, last night! We love the other location and wanted to try this one. Since we couldn't make the event last night, we came here today for brunch. Service is lovely, they greet you immediately upon walking in, and then come and get your drink order right away. I have to say their coffee is quite strong and bitter, so I didn't drink mine. I considered ordering the mimosa flight but at $35 I thought, "naaaaaa". It's pretty expensive for brunch place, and they have kind of a small menu, but the food is pretty darn good. They also have music, and it's quite lively in here. The chairs are pretty uncomfortable, definitely not the kind of chairs you want to hang out in for a couple hours. So, eat and leave. lol We ordered the bacon waffle and the biscuits and gravy. The waffles are soooo good, with lots of bacon and a bourbon maple syrup to die for. The biscuits and gravy are huge. And they're served with sausage and one egg, so it's a pretty full breakfast. All in all, the place is good, the food is darn good, the atmosphere is fun, the service is wonderful, but the chairs are uncomfortable, and the regular coffee is not very tasty at all. I will come back here though!

Yelp
The crispy fried potatoes were the highlight of the entire meal. Crunchy crispy, hot fresh and different from just french fries or hashbrowns. I also appreciated that I was able to substitute bacon instead of the sausage that came with my biscuit sandwich that had egg and cheese. Egg was done perfectly with yellow liquid yolk but not over or undercooked. Homemade bacon was good. However, the biscuit was rather disappointing, in that it was really hard and dense, not flaky with layers or soft on the inside, as I had hoped. My husband enjoyed his hot and spicy fried chicken which came with some thick white bread, and some really good mac & cheese with the white sauce and al dente. The place has a lot of character and charm with the art, pink refrigerator, and other decorations. We also see the presentation of the drinks in a giant glass to be shoveled out like punch as a nice touch. We sat on outdoor patio which has cute bar seating inside and outside.

Paul B.

Yelp
The food was plenty filling, too filling if anything! The food was beautifully plated. The food was good, I'd give it a 4. The service was pretty fast and nice. The place was nice and it has a patio and indoor for your liking. The place has a lot of art on the wall beautiful. Total being 4+

Jason R.

Yelp
Love the decor and vibe of this place. The tables were big for just 2 people making it easy to find room for all the dishes/glasses. The chair was comfortable. Staff were very inviting and hard-working. Food was really good. Serving size was on the small side and prices a bit high. $6 for coffee.

Jiliza N.

Yelp
So today we found out that this "the nest" place is an extension of the other once across the street! IT WAS AMAZING!!! The wait was way shorter over here & the vibes were super aesthetic. Everyone here was so friendly & accommodating. And the food? AMAZING!! I'm always craving chilaquiles & this place has one that just hits the spot cause it's not soggy at all!! The mimosa flight was delicious too which I shared with my friend. But omg, the table for 2 behind us got this "large cup" one that they shared which was HUGE!! Catch me here next time getting that drink . My friend super loved the spicy chicken biscuit sandwich & he said that the spice level was perfect & the chicken wasn't dry at all. I got the gravlax which was a salmon on toast type of thing which was delish as well cause they had it on like this French toast bread, so fluffy!!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
8/5/23 Finally, I'm H E R E! ....for the chilaquiles!! Hubby was not impressed with their "parent" shop so he immediately wrote this place off. I've been planning to come check them out but they don't open until 9am. Today was a good day as any. I'm so glad I dropped by. What screamed at me was the chilaquiles--it only comes with salsa rojo, not salsa verde. Gianna was my server, she's bright, friendly & explained what they offer. I ordered the chilaquiles and it arrived promptly, nice and hot, beautifully plated. The egg was indeed cooked over medium and the yolk oozed nicely. The tortilla chips geld up well, crisp & each had the salsa rojo, the shredded chicken was pretty good and the cilantro added freshness to the dish. Portion-wise was average. The salsa had a kick to it & I was worried it would ruin my stomach but it was well balanced. It's a solid 4. Before I dug in, I noticed the QR code for the complimentary side of bacon for my next visit---so I will actually use that next time to try other dishes in the menu The music was loud, I know that hubby would not approve but perhaps I will try to dine at the patio next time, maybe.

Yelp
Service was wonderful, art is impeccable, and food is delicious. It was nice to have a virtual waitlist - we signed up 30 minutes before arrival and walked leisurely to The Nest: También, then were seated within five minutes. A little pricey for the serving size, in my opinion, and the special (chicken and waffles) was pretty generic - nothing to write home about. It was also quite loud inside despite its spaciousness - busy and full, but hard to have a conversation. We'd definitely come back on another day that wasn't as busy, even to work!

Bridgette M.

Yelp
What an amazing experience we had TODAY! Celebrating my partners Birthday. If you haven't been here it's a must for brunch. Definitely underrated. It's a cute, chic, vibrant spot. We sat outside for our birthday celebration and had Mr. Jordan as our server. Who did an amazing job dealing with our party of 9. Food was on point, service and the ambiance. We then had the manager pays us a visit and must say that was the icing on the cake for me. Thank you to all the amazing staff.

Yelp
This review is going to be really long because I'm going to be writing about two different times I've been here. Before I came here the first time, I've been wanting to come here for a long time. I would've gone a lot sooner but my best days to go out for breakfast are Mondays, and this place is closed on Mondays, which is a huge hindrance to me. I was able to come on a Sunday the first time I went. For future trips, you might want to have reservations because when I came here the first time, I had to wait about 45 minutes before I got seated because they were really busy that day. This restaurant is different from The Nest because this location serves more lunch/brunch items. So because of that, I decided to get the breakfast burger with the mini bacon waffle as my side. As I was first eating my food, I was really enjoying the burger. The bacon waffle was also pretty good too, I can't complain. However when I was finishing up my food, the burger started to become overwhelming. I'm not sure if it was because of the double patty + egg combo, but it started to become too much. I was even starting to gag a little bit so I had to stop eating, which is NOT normal for me because I can eat a lot. For the breakfast burger, only one patty is enough, two patties is superfluous. This service during my first visit was also really good. My waiter made sure to check up on me constantly but not too much. For my second visit, my experience wasn't pleasant. There was barely anyone since the restaurant had just opened up a few minutes before so I didn't need any reservations so I found that to be nice. I decided to get the chicken and waffles (secret menu item). The chicken and waffles were okay, just okay. The chicken was pretty decent, it was the waffle that threw things off. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it seemed like the waffles didn't have any significant flavor, even with the syrup. I was really disappointed because I thought that it would be better. On top of that, when I was eating my food, my waitress stopped checking up on me. This was a problem because at the time, I really needed some more water, and I wasn't able to continue eating my food because of this so that annoyed me. I had to ask one of the other employees for a water. To be honest, I don't think I'm going to be coming here any time soon. I've had better experiences with other breakfast restaurants in Bellflower. I had high hopes for this restaurant, so I hate the fact that I'm writing this. Unless if they decide to open up on Mondays, I probably won't be coming back for a while.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast, its definitely spacious and can has space for big groups which is great. One of the things I'm just kind of confused on is the size of their plates, they use such small plates where the food is just right to fit but also just awkward when you're cutting or moving the food around you can easily go over and make a mess. Now the food, I got a biscuit and gravy which is actually not bad but the size of the biscuit is so thick compared to the amount of gravy. It was nice and buttery but a little too thick and maybe baked a little too long cos mine was a bit hard. The gravy was good and tasty and the egg of course makes it better. Over all it was an okay experience, the service was nice but the size of the food to the size of the plate was kinda awkward and same as thickness of the biscuit.

Tania Z.

Yelp
Great food, came here for breakfast and was not disappointed! A bit pricey but service was great and food was also great, I came here for the chilaquiles since I saw so many reviews about them, let me say they were good but not great. The red sauce just was too much and I think there was shredded chicken in there somewhere, I give them a solid "7" . I tried the breakfast burger too since my husband ordered that and that was really really good a must try!! Will be back for sure

Zeela D.

Yelp
I would like to add that the bacon waffle was excellent, just the right balance texture of crispiness and softness with the flavors of salt from the bacon and sweet from the syrup to give it that big taste though it came from a small sized waffle. Muy bien, the nest tambien!

Joy G.

Yelp
First time ... I'll be back! Staff was super sweet! Izzy is a gem ! Amazing double-decker style potato tacos....flour shell soft, lightly crispy hard shell inside. Fresh cilantro and shredded cabbage...homemade salsa verde. Top off - homemade hibiscus juice added the the Prosecco for a delectable Hibiscus Mimosas A must visit in the beautiful town of Bellflower.

Linda Y.

Yelp
Very cute restaurant where they have local artwork for sale. Food did take longer than usual but the staff were super friendly! They are known for their potato tacos and when it's paired with the sauce it's amazing! The fried chicken was very tasty and it isn't as spicy as i expected or to be! I would be back but they should make one near the west side !!

Arely C.

Yelp
Wooooowzer, The vibes were 90s music on a Saturday morning. Wait time was about 20min around 11am. Reserved a table through Yelp. I loved Los tacos de papa. These tacos de papa were hella good. Honestly I love my moms, but these just hit different. The mini French toast was so soft and delicious with ice cream. It's a must try. The pumpkin spice coffee was ok.

Lyric M.

Yelp
The food and Customer Service are EGGCELLENT! Lol They cheated me out of a piece of bacon but I was offered some more bacon once I brought it to their attention. I'm sure the Cook knows there are supposed to be two pieces of bacon but he chose to just break one piece in half like I wouldn't notice. I'm glad I didn't mention Groupon or I probably would have been short on EVERYTHING! It's still a yes for me.. just gimme my FOOD man and stop playin'!! Also, the summer salad is ok but for 13.50 I DON'T THINK SO!!! If you want to pay pricey but eat measley portions of great food on. However, if you want to get what you paid for in portion AND quality, this is not your place!

Nate T.

Yelp
I've been to the original Nest location many times and I have eaten at the Nest Tambien in the past as well. Both places offer amazing breakfast/lunch/ brunch food but this visit to the Nest Tambien was exceptionally awesome. The bartender/server Edgar was amazing. He gave us the rundown on what were off menu items to ensure our breakfast experience was elevated. Decided on the mimosa flight, the mini French toast, the eggs Benny, and the special of the day which was a tomato basil soup w/ a grilled cheese on focaccia bread. Let me start off by saying, I wish I came here more often for my morning meals. I can honestly say, this might be new fave for its neighborhood gem. Very open and clean space, plenty of options for all palates, and just one of those places that you can tell makes food with love.

Cheryl W.

Yelp
I have come to love this spot just as much as I loved the first spot and am sad that it has closed its door but happy I can still get the same feel and appeal and Tambien! I have held many of business meeting and just come for brunch to show off how lovely this place is. I hope they will implement some of the music from The Nest at Tambien I specifically love Michael Jackson Mondays

Chelsea M.

Yelp
I come here pretty often for brunch since it's a few minutes from my place and the food here is great!!! They're chilaquiles & potato tacos are the best. If you get a chance to try one of their special items, I would! I remember they had a butternut squash soup that was amazing. The overall vibe/environment is very welcoming and bright. Isabella's a great server, she's super attentive & friendly. Love this place!!

Denise V.

Yelp
They about 13 food choices but you won't be disappointed with any. We had the. Chilaquiles and potato tacos with a side of their homemade bacon. Ask for the homemade habanero sauce it's good. Ask for the drink special. I ordered the $5 special gin and tonic. I never had a gin and tonic and it was very refreshing not to mention it comes with a side car which means it's a separate shot glass of the extra drink. We cleared our plates. The tacos were like a chalupa. It has the potatoes hard shell taco inside and they put a cheese quesadilla hugging the taco. The cabbage was crispy and the salsa verde made the taco refreshing. The tortilla from the chilaquiles is soaked in the red sauce making it flavorful. The egg yolk oozed over the the tortilla and it was very good. Signed up for the promo and now I get a free bacon waffle. Can't wait to try it on my next visit.

Bianca V.

Yelp
Cute interior, you leave hungry and it's expensive. The servers are great tho. This is a review more of the food. For the price you can go to anelpalco in OC for better and cheaper chilaquilles. My eggs Benedict came out looking so sad with a single egg just chilling on a snack-sized plate all alone. The gravlox was like 2 slivers of salmon with such minimal toppings. I could have made it at home and it would have been the exact same. Overall disappointing considering the original The Nest is so good.

Roxanne I.

Yelp
Came to this restaurant last week after church. Ambiance is refreshing and the food was amazing. We all enjoyed our meals as it was brought out piping hot and fresh. Service was extremely helpful on the specials as well as the "hot" items on the menu.

Nia L.

Yelp
I love The Nest, original and También. The servers are always so friendly, food comes out in a timely manner and it's a cool spot w/good music. It's much larger than the original Nest and the menu is different. I love the chilaquiles here!!! They are probably my fave. The last time I went we went on the weekend and got to taste the potato tacos! They were a bit bland but once I put the green sauce on them...much better! I love there's a bar with specialty drinks! Tip: use the Yelp Waitlist! It gets really crowded on the weekend. There's street parking and a lot. It' says pay; but I never pay for parking in that lot lol. Definitely try También! And after try the original The Nest!

Gillian S.

Yelp
Extremely expensive, $80 for my two pancakes, my husband's chilaquiles, each with a side of bacon. This includes a very small cup of soda each that was not refillable. To add insult to injury only half of the two row parking lot is free and was full when we got there at opening.

Rafael E.

Yelp
I recently broke fast at The Nest Tambien, and it was a mixed experience with more great than disappointing. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly their delicious breakfast burger - juicy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. I would have wanted my egg to be more runny- but I didn't ask for it that way and I wasn't given the option. The chilaquiles were also a hit, with a delightful blend of textures and just the right amount of spice. The mini French toast with ice cream on top left me so surprised because I expected butter on top. The mini French toast tasted more like a cinnamon roll than French toast- I'm not complaining, I just think that it should be named differently. One drawback was the cleanliness of the cutlery. Having worked in food service both front and back house, I can tell that their machine needs to be descaled and the machine should not be overloaded with cutlery. It's essential for a restaurant to maintain spotless utensils to ensure a pleasant dining experience. I know it takes time and costs labor, but these are the little things that make a huge impact On a positive note, our server, Sabrina, was excellent. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. I would have liked for her to check up at least once more about 5-10 minutes after I received my delicious food. My potatoes needed ketchup. In summary, The Nest Tambien offers some tasty breakfast options like the breakfast burger and chilaquiles, but there's room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness, particularly with the cutlery. Sabrina's outstanding service was a definite highlight of the visit. I will be back. I believe that this restaurant is vital to Bellflower and I want to support small business.

Devin O.

Yelp
Cool place, cool vibe, have been here twice. Nice little spin on breakfast items. Wish the menu had more options. It can get a little busy, which means it can take a while to get a refill.

Monica V.

Yelp
Honestly the food here needs a lot of seasoning. I wouldn't come back or recommend either. It is pricey as well. The coffee here is good though! Service was pretty fast and the ambiance was pretty relaxing.

Isela G.

Yelp
I prefer their original place, The Nest. The main dishes we order: taquitos de pollo, the salsa verde was overpowering and high acidity. Nashville chicken biscuit sandwich and papás, too dry needs something on plate to balance. Chilaquiles, love that they were crispy thats how I like the egg sunny side up over done was rubbery. Nashville chicken biscuit sandwich everything was too dry, something is needed to balance like a slaw or salad. Biscuit and gravy were ok. 2 egg plate scrambled we asked with cheese and the cheese was a big melted blob. This is a maybe for us coming back. The server was wonderful. We had a moment in parking lot with a person who once we were inside saw it was a worker. One of the bartenders. She was in her car when we parked. My mom was getting out of our car, she held the door as best as possible and bumped the ladies mirror. Instead of lady-who works at the restaurant- pulling in her mirror and helping a senior out. She stared my mom down and then was super rude. She kept going in at my mom even when I told her I'd give her my insurance, that my mom had apologized and it wasn't on purpose. I thought she was a patron. If I would of known it was an worker we would have gone to another restaurant. I

Lourdes V.

Yelp
Nice ambience but food options are limited and pricey. Stopped by for breakfast on a weekday and they seemed a bit short staffed. Ordered the chilaquiles and it came with one egg for $18. The food portion alone is not worth $18. At least the red sauce was tasty but the food wasn't satisfying and the chips were stale. Left sad and disappointed.

Aliz I.

Yelp
Food was cold, salty, coffee was gross! The service was so slow and never came back to check on us.

Tatiana W.

Yelp
The customer service is amazing , I chose to sit at the bar top and I ordered the potato tacos which I highly recommend! They were so delicious and mouth watering . The ambiance is beautiful nicely lit and inspiring quotes all around. The coffee was really good the mint is a nice twist . I didn't have to wait too long at all I went on a Thursday. I really enjoyed this restaurant great staff and managers , great food and very welcoming people

Armando S.

Yelp
First time visit to Nest: También. We ordered the pancakes combo, chilaquiles and the kids pancakes that comes with fruit and sausage along with a side of potatoes. All of it was so good I forgot to take photos to post on here. The staff was friendly and attentive. They gave my son a coloring page and 3 crayons. He colored in a Nike Air max shoe which is a first. We really enjoyed all of our food. My son who always has trouble eating in public devoured his breakfast. He really enjoyed it and gave the staff a thumbs up . After our meal we were greeted by a couple of members of management to check in on our experience. It's always great when anyone other than your waiter checks in on the table. It shows that staff cares and they're attentive. We definitely will be coming back. Taj, promise we'll be back so my wife can try some of those mimosas. Also, kids eat free on Tuesday and Thursday.

Yelp
The food is very good. My favorite is the bacon waffle with whiskey syrup but I also liked their chilaquiles. Their house made bacon is also good. My one complaint is their coffee. Too bitter for my taste. They need another option & free refills would be nice.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch spots! I've been here multiple times with a few different friends and everyone I go with has loved it as well. The vibe is super cute and casual and the food is really really good. The servers are nice as well! I love their mimosa flight, it's definitely worth it. I have ordered their large mimosa (the one that comes in a very large glass, photo attached) and I will say that that one isn't worth it. It's cute for pics, but it gets a lot of ice and when you drink it, it just tastes like a light juice. Definitely stick to the flights if you're coming here for mimosas!

Yelp
Parking: There's a lot next to the restaurant where about 20 cars can park. Then the rest is street parking. Price: $$$ Customer service: Very kind and accommodating. So I know that 3/5 stars doesn't seem that great. And although the server was very nice, there were a few small areas where I feel like it could be improved. I made the mistake of not really looking up the layout of the restaurant and patio hours ahead of time. Not the restaurant's fault, BUT MY OWN. I went there hoping to eat outside with my dog. They told us the patio area is only open on the weekends. I told them "no worries" and that I would be on my way. The server told the manager my situation (which I was surprised he did) and they set up a table outside on the patio to accommodate us. VERY NICE AND ABOVE WHAT WAS NEEDED. Like I said before...the service wasn't the real issue here. Unfortunately, because they weren't expecting anyone to sit outside they forgot about us for about 20 mins before someone came and took our order. Not a big deal, honestly they were accommodating me so I'm not complaining. The issues: Small menu, small portions, and is very expensive for what you get. I ordered the eggs benedict. This is the first place where I only received one egg and one serving of bacon on the plate. They did provide the second portion of the English muffin (for dipping?) It also came with a side of potatoes. The potatoes were pretty darn hard. They were crispy but way overdone. I ended up giving them to my dog. The black coffee was way too strong and bitter. I didn't drink it even after adding half and half and sweetener. The pancakes were delicious...order that if anything. Also, the chilaquiles were pretty good, but again small portion. Overall the staff was very nice, and that's why I didn't want to give the place a lower rating. But I gotta say....this meal was NOT worth what I paid (which including a nice tip... was $74) I most likely will not be back. I was hoping this place would be amazing, but unfortunately, it was just "eh."

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious!!! Portions are huge. Pictures don't do justice lol. The ambiance was so nice and perfect for a weekend brunch date. So cute here. And the service was so quick, friendly, and efficient. I really enjoyed my meal and cannot wait to come back. The coffee was delicious and not too sweet. Although I wish the coffee taste was stronger. They have a lot of alcoholic drinks that I'll try next time!

Yelp
Take advantage of joining the waitlist here on Yelp. It was convenient to walk in and get seated shortly after that. It is also nice to come to a larger space and parking in comparison to the other Nest location. To drink I had the mint mojito ice coffee. It was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary. To eat I had the spicy chicken biscuit with a side of crispy potatoes. I was surprised of how big the sandwich was. I was stuffed! The chicken had the right amount of spice and was tied perfectly with the butter and biscuit. I would come back just for that! I also want to point out how much I appreciate the owner, Antonio, coming around and checking in with us. Little things like that made our dining experience personable and memorable.

Yelp
For first time here I try the chilaquiles, and the flavor was like the enchiladas .. I like it so far. And the mojito coffee delicious The wait time wasn't that bad on Sunday 1pm 9/10

Yelp
Doesn't look like a typical restaurant passing by or even inside. The vibe is very relaxed with art on the all you can purchase. Food is whatever though and service wasn't the greatest. Our food was brought out at different times and we didn't get the drinks we ordered even after we finished our meal. The waitress tried to avoid our table since she knew the bar was backed up and behind. We ended up cancelling our drink order and the waitress didn't really seem apologetic. Would probably come back if they expanded their menu and got more staff.

Yelp
Staff/Setting: The interior of this restaurant is modern, relaxed, and comfortable. The staff was friendly, although the service was a touch slow due to a busy morning. The friendly attitude of the staff, along with the good food, totally makes up for a slightly longer wait. Food: We ordered the crispy potatoes, chilaquiles, biscuit, hot chicken, and eggs Benedict (and finished all of it) One commonality with all the food is that everything is scratch made, and it shows. The Benedict has a fresh baked muffin ( I believe), with good quality ingredients inside. The fried chicken was impressive. Crispy exterior, great flavor, juicy, while not being unpleasantly spicy. Real spice heads may want more kick, but I liked it as-is. The chilaquiles had crispy tortilla chips (which is rare) and a nicely balanced sauce. It tastes more peppery than tomato-y, which I liked. Doesn't taste heavy like other chilaquiles can. The biscuit and potatoes were both good. Good texture and fluffiness to the biscuit. Potatoes were crispy outside with good seasoning and texture inside. Overall: The food here is very impressive. Good quality ingredients throughout with balanced seasoning and flavors. With a friendly staff and cool seating area, this place gets a high recommendation. Pro tip: the menu is designed for sharing. Be willing to split a few items between your group. You'll be rewarded with trying more things and end up with a lower bill!

Yelp
I always heard about The Nest but never had the chance to go. I happened to be in the area and found the The Nest: También. It's cute little place in Bellflower. Friendly staff and colorful decor. I had the pancake combo. It was okay for me. I wasn't wowed but a typical pancakes, eggs and bacon. I would come back to try something else. I would like to check out the original nest because I believe the menu is different. Oh but the freshly squeezed orange juice was very refreshing. I would come back just to try some more drinks out.

Yelp
Except for the pricing this would be a maybe instead of a won't return. The chilaquiles were good and the bacon was excellent. The pancakes were rubbery and dense. Believe $20 for chilaquiles with no sides and only 1 egg with little or no noticeable yolk were quite much. The bacon are half strips and not four half strips as pictured but three. $11 for those pancakes were ridiculous and mistakenly served with the whiskey syrup which doesn't work without a protein. And drinks packed with ice in half glasses with no refills were just over the top nickel and dimeing. Add in the $4 parking and your at $85 for two breakfasts. I understand they are looking for a bistro feel at bistro pricing but the mark gets missed.

Yelp
This place is such a vibe. There's upbeat music, art around the walls, it's decorated nicely and they have nice servers. I highly recommend getting the chilaquiles here they are delicious. They're very flavorful and not to spicy. It's a great brunch place with your girlfriends or for a fun date. Will definitely keep coming back.

Yelp
The Nest Tambien is a great brunch spot! The restaurant is always clean and welcoming! The service is always amazing! The food is great, and clean! I think the portions are filling for myself, but definitely think they are a little small for the price (the reason I am giving it 4/5) We ordered a breakfast burger with the potatoes and chilaquiles with chicken! Definitely recommend getting a side of their house-made habanero sauce! Overall a great brunch spot!

Yelp
The positives: -The portion sizes are perfect for a simple one person breakfast. I initially thought it might not be enough food, but I left quite full. -The mojo pork benny had a great flavored sauce. -The service is VERY eager. This almost bordered on a negative because our waitress checked on us literally every five minutes and conversation was impeded OFTEN. Decor: it was modern with nice pops of color, making for a fun visual ambience. The negatives (in my own opinion): The music: it's so damned loud that I could hardly hear the soft-spoken waitress. Conversation was again impeded by the loud music. - The choice of simple, regular breakfast fare: Sometimes you want just really simple options without getting too hipstery. -The coffee! If you like Starbucks tangy-style coffee, then you'll like this. I like standard coffee so even sugar and creamer couldn't save it. -The "bun" on the mojo benny was very firm, nearly hard. I couldn't tell if it's meant to be that way or if it was old. -The parking fees: I park around the corner on the street for free, instead of the $4 lot. I won't come back here as it's just not my style. The food was mostly tasty, but I prefer more simplistic stuff and good coffee.
