Our family has been buying lobsters from The Net Result for decades (literally) because they are the best . This past week we decided to make an actual visit there to try their lobster rolls and enjoy the patio area.
First of all, as an FYI, it's BYOB, which we wish we would have known. You order inside and then they call your number through the window, and the wait isn't too bad. The lobster rolls--and we got both hot and cold--were amazing. Seriously some of the best that we've ever had with fresh meat and neither too much butter nor too much mayo respectively. Loved the bits of celery for crunch on the cold one too, as well as the fact that the bread is thin enough for eating but sturdy enough to hold up against the lobster, which is indeed piled on. Of course both items are almost $30, which is sheer insanity, but we did feel like they were worth it.
Our daughter got the fish and chips and we want to shout out the fries, which were shockingly delicious and addictive. The fish was less impressive because it needed salt (a lot) and did not taste all that crisp, but the meat inside was nicely cooked and tasted fresh. The Pop-pop got a fish sandwich that looked tasty and the dynamite roll, which we sampled and loved.
Honestly, this would have been a very happy four star review if not for the experience one of us had with one of her salads. They had a bunch of bowls listed with various ingredients in it, but it came out with rice (which was not listed and not wanted) and when she brought it in to be redone, the staff scoffed at her, argued, and were flagrantly rude about it. After dropping over $150 and being part of a loyal fresh seafood customer family for so many years, it was insulting and completely soured the experience. We're not saying that we won't come back (we will because everything else was great), but if management is reading this, please train your staff on basic customer service.
