The Newport Belle, Riverboat Bed and Breakfast

This is a second visit and did not disappoint. The rooms are very comfortable, note they do basically only have the bed but it was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on. Bathroom is nice and surprisingly water pressure amazing for the shower. The breakfast was excellent. Meet and greet happy hour very nice. Brandon is an excellent addition to the staff and so personable and responsive. Allie helping in the morning at breakfast was very personable too. I can safely say we will visit again.

This was SUCH a fun place to stay during our trip down the PCH. We made reservations because it sounded fun but it couldn't have turned out more perfect. Our host, Brandon, was an absolute gem and I hope the ownership knows how valuable he is and how much his hospitality and friendliness contributed to our magical stay. We had a great time socializing with all the other guests during their social hour and then the breakfast the next morning was worthy of any top class restaurant in the area. Can't wait to come back.

A unique experience that we both enjoyed. |Stayed in stateroom 4. Liked that it was upstairs and not above or beside another stateroom.|The directions are sent to you and need to be followed for parking in the correct area.||Brandon was our host and he was personable and made our stay fun. The riverboat's exterior was a bit off putting on a rainy day but once inside it was just fine. The stateroom was large and every inch was carefully utilized for quests' comfort: robes, bedding, shower was all there with views of the marina and waterway. The public areas, "salon" and breakfast area were spacious and had seating and a fireplace. |Happy hour was fun with drinks provided with a smile. Breakfast was well done and coffee was good.|CONS: be aware of stairs and a gangway.|We Recommend

We had the pleasure of staying on the Newport Belle for two nights this past week. What a unique experience. Had we stayed in a cookie-cutter hotel, I doubt we would have remembered our passing through Newport on our road trip. But this was a very nice, memorable experience. The boat is really beautiful. Our stateroom was well furnished and our breakfasts were incredible, especially when served on the rear enclosed sundeck. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner one morning as he poured our coffee. Also, Brandon was a terrific host and was also a great breakfast chef each morning. Thanks for the nice experience!

Unfortunately, we only had 1 evening on the Belle. What a great experience from the minute we arrived until we left the next day! Brandon is an absolute wonderful host with lots of charm. The experience was great, and Brandon made it even more memorable! Happy hour was great and the homemade breakfast even better! Decor and every attention to detail was perfect! Don’t lose Brandon…he’s half of the charm! Oh, and a dog would be a great touch…maybe a golden retriever!! 🤭

My husband and I came here for our 5 year anniversary. The room was great. The atmosphere was peaceful and romantic. The staff were able to adjust the menus to meet allergens needs for nuts and peanuts and served quality food at breakfast and happy hour. Brandon gave good recommendations for restaurants and sight seeing. Thank you for everything! We had a amazing time. <3

What a fun and unique experience! I made reservations online to celebrate a birthday. Reservations were easy, and their virtual check-in process was super easy. They text you when your room is ready, so you may be able to check-in earlier than the normal 4pm. Check out is at 11am, which was perfect for us. They offer a nice happy hour from 5-6pm. Two complimentary drinks with appetizers. There are various games available and plenty of sitting areas for a fully reserved boat. There are 5 rooms avaliable, all with views of the harbor and marina. Three rooms have king beds, and two rooms have queen beds. All rooms have their own bathrooms. The rooms offer many amenities...shampoo, conditioner, body wash, eye masks and ear plugs, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, keurig coffee maker, water with glasses, mini refrigerator, luggage rack, bathrobes, etc. We didn't want for anything during our stay. Brandon was super friendly, welcoming, attentive, helpful and accommodating. Paige made our breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! She was also friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We met Lexi when we arrived and she was also friendly and welcoming. Everyone was so nice and all the food and drinks were delicious! A nice variety of options to satisfy any guest. Overall we were super impressed. We're already trying to figure out when we can stay again! Highly recommend!

Our experience was personalized and special. Brandon was an amazing host; a great "captain" the accommodations were great. This is one of those reviews where you want to shy people away; but it is special and if you want that; then book and enjoy.

This is a wholesome cozy bed and breakfast. Hosts are warm and welcoming and comfortable to talk to. Decor is nautical and well done. We enjoyed exploring the details. Highly recommend.

My fiance and I stayed at the Newport Belle recently and were very impressed. Our first bed-n-breakfast and picked a good one. Before we arrived, we were sent a link to a Youtube video with a lot of good information about where to go and park. We were texted a link with the codes needed to get on board and in our room. We were called the morning of our arrival to get our breakfast selections as well. We arrived and got inside and found our room. Our door code to our room didn't work. I turned around to go back downstairs (we were in Room 4 on the 3rd floor) and were greeted before even heading down the stairs by the owner who was happy to come up and give us a new code and get us inside. It was happy hour (around 5pm), so after we settled in, we went to the 2nd floor. There were other couples there hanging out. The owners again greeted us, asked what beverages we would like, and we sat and they served us appetizers and drinks. My 7-up was served in a cold mug and was good and my fiance had two special alcoholic drinks. We were shown a game chest and played cards while a couple more couples joined the room (but we stayed at our 2 person table). The owner came over several times to check on us and see if we needed anything and also to chat. Very personable. Expect to be chatty back if you stay -- although if you are choosing a bed-n-breakfast, you should likely expect some measure of being around other people. While the other couples left and the owners went to bed, my fiance and I stayed in the main sitting area and played cards for a couple hours. We had coffee and hot chocolate. It was easy to come and go as we pleased as we went to dinner. We didn't hear other people. Eventually, we went back to our room. It is cozy and has a private bathroom. There is a nice coffee maker and a bed. The bed is a bit firm -- which I like -- and everything was clean and tidy. The next morning we went downstairs for a 3-course breakfast. One item was apricots with pistachios on greek yogurt. It was great. The next was a chocolate crepe of some kind. It was good as well. Lastly was blueberry pancakes and bacon. I should mention that I don't like certain foods. I don't like cheese. I don't like bacon. I'm still American though, because I enjoy apple pie. However, the bacon that was made here I had 5 bites of. That is 2 more bites of bacon than I have had in the past 30 years combined. As far as bacon goes, it was the best I've ever had. Very impressive. The boat is stationed quite firmly, so despite being on the water, it doesn't sway. Don't worry about that if it was a concern that you'd get seasick. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay. Great atmosphere, great room, great owners, fun trip. And how often can you say you stayed at a bed-n-breakfast one a boat and served a gourmet breakfast? If you are looking for a little different experience and you are staying in Newport, the Newport Belle is an excellent choice.

I can't recommend this place enough!!! What a dream come true. The owners are welcoming and their attention to detail is beyond expectations. We came for one night and met couples from all areas of the USA visiting this BnB. Had a wonderful Happy Hour with homemade blue cheese cheesecake with delicious crackers and various beers and wines. During this happy hour, the couples and owners sat around and chatted. The next day, they served many delicious pastries and fruit, homemade granola and choice of biscuits and gravy or chocolate waffles with cherry compote- all made to order and from scratch! What a treat! The room was comfortable with everything we needed. It was quiet and the view of the bridge was breathtaking. They have games and books you can borrow if you choose to sit around and relax. We will be back for sure! Absolutely wonderful!

This was an experience unlike anything I've ever had before. The owners are so attentive and make every moment super special. From the easy going check in process, to the happy hour snacks and drinks, to the breakfast in the morning. My husband and I traveled from Portland metro area for our anniversary. The owners had our room set with flower petals on the bed and complementary champagne and chocolate covered espresso beans. We felt like royalty with the personal touches at happy hour and breakfast. The owners offer recommendations for dinner and things to do/see in town. Room #4 is incredible. The view of the bridge from the bed will never get old. If you are even contemplating booking a night at the Newport Belle- DO NOT HESITATE. My husband and I will be back.

We spent a night on our way down the coast and we had an amazing stay! Paige and Randy were great from the start. Upon arriving, we enjoyed Happy Hour with an amazing view and good conversation with our hosts. With their recommendations we headed out to the marina to check out a few restaurants and had some great food. The 3 course breakfast was awesome. Paige is great in the kitchen and the presentations were well done. We left stuffed! We would recommend staying here and may even make it back.!

We stayed at the Newport Belle for our 1 year anniversary and were so pleased with the hospitality, charm and character of our stay! The owners were so sweet and made our stay feel very homey. New ownership since December 2019! And boy did they give this place a facelift! The riverboat has an amazing view of the Newport bridge and is nestled in the marina between picturesque boats. We had room number 4 which was upstairs and had the view of the bridge. The couple that own this place put a lot of thought into the tiniest details. Water pressure is great in the shower, comfy beds, windows open for a nice breeze. Appetizers for happy hour were included as well as a three course breakfast! Wonderful hospitality. Definitely the highlight of our trip was staying here.

An actual floating riverboat with 5 guest rooms. It is located across the Bay from Newport (and across the bridge). You can walk to the NOAA visitor center, the Rogue Brewery, and the fishing pier and the Aquarium is nearby. Great views of the Bridge. The owners/ hosts are genuinely nice people who truly seem to want the guests to be happy. We thought they were giving us special treatment but it turns out that everyone else got it, too. . The breakfasts are 3 course gourmet affairs and the evening happy hours include drinks and appetizers - different every evening- that could serve as a small meal. Most of the other guests return periodically for special occasions. It is rare to find a place that actually exceeds expectations. We will be coming back.

Just checked out today and I want to go back! A very comfortable and unique place to stay. I love how you have your bedroom, but then can hang out upstairs in a very cozy area. The owners/hosts are very friendly and helpful as well. Love the breakfast and happy hour!

Incredible stay at The Newport Belle! Everything was a 5/5. * Accommodations: The comfiest, coziest bed. Loved the clean nautical decor. The bright white really amps up the room, beautiful headboard! Even has a little fridge which we were pleasantly surprised to see. Enjoyed the music playing when we walked into the room from the smart tv. * Breakfast: we enjoyed the best 3 course breakfast! Frozen blueberry parfait, hazelnut ravioli and large eggs benny. Indulgent treat and lovely conversation from the owners throughout breakfast. We were lucky to sit in the private sunroom--overlooking the bridge, had a chance to use the binoculars to peek at all the boats and birds. Was a lovely experience. * Owners: the husband and wife owners, Randy & Paige, were so thoughtful. Easily accommodated our changing check-in time, provided parking and room access directions. Couldn't have been easier! During breakfast they swiftly brought out each course and we enjoyed talking to them throughout breakfast. We learned about the boat, that they've owned it for only a year and a half and have been renovating it ever since (beautiful rooms, sunroom--you can tell they care about the details). Can't wait to visit next time and enjoy the happy hour and hopefully see Bob the seal! Truly a gem.

Breakfast was delicious. All the appetizers were too! The oranges with whipped cream and almonds was incredible!! Would definitely recommend!!

My wife and I stayed here a few weeks ago for my birthday weekend, and it was a perfect experience! The river boat is adorable inside and out. A lot of thought has gone into the decor and ambiance of the rooms, and they are clean and cozy. The common area is also a visual delight, with paintings, sculptures, and furniture all in flow with a pleasant oceanic theme. The happy hour served on the evening we arrived was an excellent touch, with homemade guacamole and chips, as well as a top-notch beer list, wines, and spirits to choose from. Breakfast the next morning was a truly taste budding experience, which included 3 courses of finely crafted brunch-style wonders. The best part, however, has to be the owners. Paige and Randy are delightful, warm, and enjoyable people who make the whole experience feel like the perfect blend of social gathering and quiet get-away. I watched as they somehow managed to serve up drinks and snacks while simultaneously taking the time to get to know their guests and subtly encouraging their guests to get to know one another. They are certainly the most fantastic of hosts! Also. They did a great job of maintaining a COVID-safe environment with six-feet between tables and sitting areas, wearing masks, and providing hand sanitizer in all the rooms. Everything felt clean and safe. I absolutely recommend this boutique river boat bed and breakfast experience to any single or couple looking to get away from it all and have a totally kick-ass time! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Thank you Paige and Randy for the awesome time!

What a wonderful experience, nice comfortable cabins , ours had a king sized bed and we slept like babies, hosts were great and the breakfast was very good , central location to visit the Rouge brewery and the Oregon Coast aquarium. Best night in our entire trip down the coast.

WOW! I can't say enough good things about our stay. My boyfriend and I stayed here the day after Thanksgiving and could not believe what a nice getaway it was! The place was SPARKLING clean and they were setting up a cute Christmas tree in the salon area. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was so cozy and warm. And the showers were nice and hot. I would definitely recommend, and will be back!

Wow! We had a phenomenal experience during our 2 day stay. Both mornings we were blown away with the 3 course breakfasts. Paige & Randy are the most gracious hosts. Their love for each and every guest was very apparent. Our room was beautiful, and the bed was so comfortable! Happy hour was incredible, they had several beer/wine offerings and a lovely cheese plate. I will be booking our next stay as soon as possible!

Every,'T' is crossed snd there's a dot on every, 'I. ' The hosts of THE NEWPORT BELLE see to every need of its guests. The environment is warm and welcoming. So special to actually stay on a riverboat making your vacation really memorable. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfasts make a person want to get out of bed! But if you prefer something simpler for breakfast the hosts and owners happily accommodate. We had dinner on the ship one night and the food was delicious. It's presentation was eye popping. Loved the small batch orange blossom ice cream. Actually, loved everything about our charming and caring hosts, the accommodations and the food. Will definitely return.

What a gem! Came to the coast for our anniversary and my husband surprised me with an overnight stay at the Newport Belle. Michael, the owner was very pleasant and accommodating. Charlie, the Westie is a sweet dog that does a great job policing the grounds. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean, and had their own tidy bathrooms. The common area was great with an awesome sun deck you can sit on and "watch the world go by". We enjoyed our complimentary beverages and played a few games there in the evening. Breakfast was great -fresh fruit and yogurt, quiche and potatoes. We enjoyed the conversation we had with the other guests and Michael & Charlie. We liked it so much, we are possibly going to stay here again next weekend when relatives come to visit. Definitely worth your while!

From the ease of self check in to the adorable room this place is perfect. I let Paige know it was going to be my birthday and upon checking in found delicious cupcakes and a lovely birthday card! The beds were so comfortable and perfect for a great nights sleep. I will recommend this B&B to anyone I know!

A really neat space, well maintained and comfortable! Our room was fantastic, the main cabin area was so much fun to go up to and sip on wine and coffee and watch the bay. Randy and Paige are incredibly hospitable and gracious, we appreciate them sharing their space with us.

Michael and his sidekick Charlie (his Westie-terrier mix) were the best hosts! We were invited to and made to feel at home aboard the Newport Belle - with a mini fridge full of soda, local beer and wine, home baked cookies/brownies, a massage chair that overlooked the harbor, recommendations on where to have dinner (Local Ocean = OMG!)...the list goes on. We stayed in Stateroom #1 (first level - bow) which had amazing hot water and water pressure, a mini fridge of our own, a comfortable bed and small table for two. We only stayed one night but you better believe we'll be staying more in the future. The only thing to note is the Newport Belle is adjacent to the fishing boat launch and you may have traffic getting in/out depending on the fishing season (we ended up there the opening of halibut and boy was there traffic). This has not reflection on Michael or the Newport Belle - just something to be aware if/when you go to stay here.

6-19-2019 Michael was here when we arrived. he was very friendly and upgraded our room to the king size bed. The windows are a little sticky but they open and allowed us to air out the room. It did not smell - I just don't like disinfectant-cleaner fragrance. We went out for several hours and when we returned we had a slight problem with the bed. We contacted Michael and he was on it. He returned with sheets and finished making the bed- at Midnight with a very pleasant attitude. He is not the house keeper and it was kind of fun to listen to him and my spouse try to figure out sheet geometry! I wish I could write out the conversation, just know it was entertaining! I was so tired and was almost ready to walk when I first saw this-but Michael's diligence to make this right was spot on! Sitting back and observing this to resolution ensured I will return! Should he retire before my next visit, I hope who ever buys this ship will be as understanding and conscientious as he is. He is genuine and I really want to go to bed but he and my husband are chatting-again! Breakfast the following day was delicious! Strawberries & blueberries with yogurt, fresh coffee- just right-not mud! Egg & Spinach Frittata, roasted potatoes, yummy whole grain toast and fresh orange juice! My husband and I had a pleasure staying at the Newport Belle as a part of our anniversary Oregon Coast trip. What a wonderful place to stay - it is so charming and unique beautifully decorated with nautical theme throughout. Our room was spotless as far as cleanliness and very comfortable including good quality mattress and pillows and a hot water shower with good pressure. Paige and Randy, Belle's hosts and owners, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed an anniversary champaign+chocolate treat, happy hour drinks+cheese plate, and a great 3-course breakfast in the morning. They follow COVID 19 precautions and social distancing diligently and we felt safe staying there. I definitely recommend The Newport Belle for anyone looking for a romantic/unique getaway!

If there is such a thing as a destination Bed and Breakfast this is it. We truly can't say enough about how amazing this place is. We booked through an online service - for the wrong day - and showed up on the boat. They had some room and checked us in anyway. They were so kind. The rooms were gorgeous. My husband wanted to take half the decor - oh let's be honest - the entire boat - home with us. Paige and Randy have a truly lovely happy hour and they tell the best stories. Breakfast was superb. Their recommendations for local eateries were spot on. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. We know we will be back and will consider ourselves lucky to book there. In the meantime we are going to look for a dock and try to entice them to Tacoma.

Randy and Paige have turned the Newport Belle into a comfortable, delightfully decorated oasis. From the moment we walked aboard, we were welcomed like family and cared for to a legendary degree until our departure. We celebrated our 20th Anniversary there and were treated to many extras to make our stay even more memorable. Their Happy Hours and gourmet breakfasts aphenomenal. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing!!! One of the best b&b's we ever been to. The owner made a huge effort to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was really great and he even made something vegetarian for me. The view is awesome and the bed was so super comfy.

I had some reservations about going here. I wanted a private bath with good shower pressure and the ability to come and go when we wanted. The place is very quaint, the little lady loved it! The room was incredibly comfortable had a great view. The rooms have there own entrance and shower. The three course breakfasts were awesome! The hosts were incredibly nice and spoiled us. We really didn't want to leave. We were very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and relaxing our stay was. We have recommended it to friends, we will go back! The only thing I'd change is to add a hot tub or a room with a hot tub. :)

I could have not asked for a better location to see the total solar eclipse from! We sat right out on the balcony of the Belle and watched the glorious event unfold! This was my second stay at the Newport Belle, (my boyfriend Jay has stayed many times), and I enjoyed every minute! Michael is so hospitable and a delightful conversationalist. Plus his cooking skills are off the charts fabulous! I would not hesitate to recommend the Newport Belle to anyone looking to stay at a bed and breakfast at the Coast!

Great location, small but comfortable and clean rooms and a fantastic common area with great views of the harbor, the bridge and Newport. Nothing fancy, but clean and VERY hospitable. A unique way to stay in a city. The owner Michael and Charlie(his dog) will greet you with brownies, and give a tour of the boat. He will offer beer/wine and a good homemade breakfast in the morning. The experience was awesome and Michael was the best host.

What a great experience! Nice room with a view of the bridge and marina. Our host Michael is a wealth of local knowledge with recommendations for dinner restaurants. Breakfast was amazing, with a vegetarian option, and he even shared his recipes with us. Highly recommend this unique bed and breakfast.

Unfortunately, our stay was memorable because we wish we'd skipped our night at the Newport Belle. The room was musty smelling, the docking location was noisy and smelled of oil/gas, there was nothing walkable that was worth seeing, and the hosts were irritable. They served breakfast later than we could stay and they actually got mad that we asked to skip it. Cute idea, but not a place we will revisit.

My new husband and I were on a roadtrip honeymoon down the coast of Oregon when we stopped in Newport for the night. We were discussing our options of where to stay over Abby's Pizza when I asked him if we could try a Bed & Breakfast. He was extremely hesitant about the idea, recalling instances of overly nosy hosts and uncomfortable conversation around a stranger's breakfast table. He was even MORE hesitant when I mentioned that it was on a riverboat. When I called to see if they had a room for us, the owners (Nancy and Michael) let us know that we would have "the whole boat to ourselves," as there were no more boarders for the evening. Even though it was 8:45pm, they were still willing to "rally" for us. They gave us a pick of the whole boat at a "honeymoon" discount. We, of course, chose the Queen's Suite, which was a charming room on the 3rd floor, overlooking the docked boats of the river and a king bed. We even watched a movie on my iPad with the free wireless internet access they granted to us! Needless to say, my husband was pleasantly surprised, and despite his suspicions about the pre-emptive earplugs next to the bedside, we slept like babies! The next morning, we met Nancy & Michael's two adorable Westies and ate an expertly prepared eggs benedict breakfast in the sunny nook on the 2nd floor of the boat. This was definitely a unique experience, but not one we would soon forget!

Excellent place to stay while in Newport. A bit tricky to find the first time, and parking wasn't as convenient as it could have been (might be an issue if you have mobility issues). Still, a wonderful stay. Attentive owners who love to chat, made great recommendations for food and activities, and close to Bayfront area and local attractions. I'd stay there again, and it makes me want to only stay at B & Bs in the future.

Great place to stay in Newport! The owners are great and make you feel comfortable. Good breakfast. With their instructions, the boat is very easy to find. Many nearby restaurants. I would definitely return!

Randy and Paige were amazing hosts! The boat was so so nice, they have done a great job with it. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Paige is such a good cook, her breakfast was to die for. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

My partner and I found the Newport Belle in a guide book and thought it sounded fun to stay on a boat for a couple of nights. Michael the owner is a great host and cook. The room was great, the location was perfect, and Charlie, the little Westie, was adorable. We will definitely stay here when in Newport.

We stayed there to watch the fireworks. We could see lots of fireworks from several places on the boat. We finally decided to just sit on chairs on the deck outside of our room. This was our second time and Michael was an excellent host and gourmet cook. My wife and I are seldom around boats so we appreciated being so close to the action in Yaquina Bay. This is a very unique place to stay and we plan to be back again.

Our stay at the Newport Belle Bed & Breakfast was the highlight of our trip down the Oregon coast. Everyone is asking how the trip was, and the first thing I say is that we stayed on a paddle boat. it is a little tricky to find, but if you call, Nancy will give you directions on how to get there. The room was nice and clean, and we hung out in the lounge with a great view of the bridge. For dinner we wandered over to the Rogue brewery and had some clams and oysters at the pub there along with some great beer. The boat moved just a little bit, but not enough to stop me having a great sleep! Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful. Overall, we highly recommend this spot for a really special stay!
