Twin Cities LGBTQ-Owned Restaurants To Try This Pride Month and All Year - Eater Twin Cities

"The Nicollet Diner serves classic American fare just blocks away from lush Loring Park, near downtown Minneapolis. Come for the all-day breakfast (think chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, and crispy loaded hashbrowns), or pair a burger with a cocktail for dinner. The Nicollet Diner also has a wide selection of hand-spun malts, from flavors like graham cracker to black cherry." - Justine Jones

"Nicollet Diner, Loring Park by Spyder Trap. Three words: Breakfast. All. Day. Okay, five words: Breakfast. All. Day. And. Night. This retro diner is open 24/7 and serving up fresh cut fries, infinitely customizable burgers, and spiked milkshakes (Awesome). Recently receiving their liquor license, they’re stocked with local craft beers on tap, wine, Bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and handcrafted cocktails. It is the perfect answer for when you’re coming home from the bar at 2am and craving pancakes - because we all know that happens a lot. While enjoying your breakfast, lunch, dinner, or midnight snack, kick back and choose some throwback tunes to listen to on their jukebox."

I had the burger and fries, and they were fine. My friend had the chicken wings, and we were very surprised at the size of the wings. In a positive way. They were bigger than anticipated, and he very much enjoyed them.

Little bit of a way to be seated but they handled us quickly and professionally. My counter seat was just what I wanted even without asking. Food was hot and good. The egg on my burger was cooked perfectly with maximum yoke and no white slime. Bartender and waiter both provided great service. Coffee was strong. I’ll be back

After a packed night of activities we came across this restaurant. It was late and this was one of the few restaurants open during the twilight hours. Food was delicious after not eating anything nearly the whole day. Portions were above average considering the price it was an ok deal. Service was good maybe a bit slow but considering it was late at night we wouldn’t put that on them. Surprisingly though, this restaurant got busy even in the late hours. A typical diner where it seems you’ll always find good food.

The service by Phillip was outstanding! The milkshakes were delicious. The bathroom situation was odd and made my teenager uncomfortable. The prices are high but expected for downtown Minneapolis. Also, they really should drop their Health Cleaning charge on the bills.

Went here twice during my stay in MN. First visit was decent. The food was great. Waiter was great and had great energy. Besides our waiter, no one seemed to be happy to be there. None of their staff. Which leads me to my 2nd visit. Our waiter seemed to be the only one there and boy did he show it. Not one hello, not a smile, not anything customer service related that deserved a 5 star. We as a group even debated leaving as we thought we were a burden. One friend even got up to ask the host if they could help with the situation bc it was not great. We ended up getting our food and it was fine. But seeing that the tip was already added, i can tell you he wouldn't have received a tip if it was up to me. Overall, it's a novelty spot and Id only come back for the drag show tbh.

4am food was delicious! Also served CBD beverage which I highly recommend. Glad I was able to find a place truly open 24/7. Thanks to all the cheerful and courteous folks who help keep running the place overnight!

Stopped in thinking they had boozy malts. Apparently they stopped serving them awhile ago. We settled for ice cream shakes. They were good. Service was good too (thanks Cathy).

We had a great breakfast here while staying at a nearby hotel for a convention. I had an omelette, which was delicious. My boyfriend had chicken and waffles, which he also thought was good. It was a good price point, and the service was pretty good, even though they were very busy with people from the Convention.
