The Nikolai Hotel Hamburg - Leonardo Limited Edition

I had an excellent stay at The Nikolai Hotel Hamburg! The rooms were modern, comfortable, and spotless, making it a perfect place to relax after exploring the city. The location is unbeatable right in the heart of Hamburg, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. What really stood out was the service. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. A very special mention goes to Andrés, the barkeeper he was simply outstanding! His friendly attitude, professionalism, and fantastic cocktails made every evening at the bar a highlight of my stay. He truly went above and beyond to create a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hamburg. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The Nikolai Hotel is close to the Speicherstadt, Hafen city and the Elbe Philharmonie. Great location. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a view of one of the many canals, with high and low tide. Several restaurants nearby, and a visit of the Katharina Kirche is also recommended (great organ concerts!). Possible to walk to most of the other central spots like Jungfernstieg, Europa Passage and Landungs brücken.||The hotel has a great atmosphere. Classical yet modern elegance. The room was lovely, comfortable bed bed, Occitane toiletries, welcome Sekt with fruit and macarons. ||Breakfast was just excellent. Best granola I’ve ever tasted.||Personnel professional and friendly but a slightly more personal approach in the breakfast room would be appreciated after a few days.||Hope to be back!

Great hotel, central location. Fantastic rooms, got everything you need including Iron and board. But the best bit was the lights and aircon. All on one super simple panel. How much time do you normally spend scrambling around with multiple light switches, air con etc.|They’ve got it sorted, every hotel should get this system.|Great bar, open till Midnight and a very very good breakfast.|This will be my Hamburg hotel going forward

Beautiful boutique hotel in an amazing location, super friendly and helpful staff (I was able to check in earlier), tasty breakfast with a variety of options. Modern room, with an unusual yet comfortable solution for the shower, toilet, and sink. The only issue was that the room was quite loud and acoustic. Both nights I was woken up by very loud clicking/electronic noises in the middle of the night; toilet flushing from other rooms could be heard as well.

We loved our stay at Hotel Nicolais in Hamburg. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. A special thanks to the receptionist, who was super friendly and helpful. He always welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at home. We’d definitely come back and recommend this place!

Really friendly & helpful staff, beautiful decor including the rooms. Great location - very quiet neighbourhood yet under 15 minutes' walk from most things in town. Good value for money, would happily recommend.

Rooms are ok but it’s odd that the shower doesn’t have a drying area, you literally step out into the main bedroom. ||Also annoying that the light in the toilet is in a motion sensor and switches off after seconds leaving you in darkness. ||Biggest annoyance is that the hotel website has a section titled “restaurants”, this section literally says: “The Nikolai Hotel Hamburg offers a wide selection of traditional local antipasti with a modern twist, including vegan and vegetarian options.” There is no restaurant. When I queried this, the guy at reception shrugged his shoulders and said there hasn’t been a restaurant here for 4years. ||Not good enough, you can’t advertise a restaurant on your website then speak to guests like they’re idiots when they query why there isn’t one. I asked to speak to the manager to complain, was told he should be here “about 10 tomorrow”, by which time I will have left. Thankfully. ||Summary:|- no restaurant despite the website advertising one |- staff unhelpful and dismissive, bordering on rude|- rooms ok but some odd quirks.

The staff was very attentive and the rooms were exceptionally clean. I will definitely return to this hotel if I'm ever in Hamburg. The bell man and the front staff was very friendly.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for six nights. We received wonderful service! Luis and Andre' went out of their way to make suggestions on places to visit, restaurants, and helped me line up a good beauty shop. Everyone was nice Moritz, Kerstin, Tamara, and Florian helped in everyway possible. Natalie is great in the restaurant. She makes sure the customers are satisfied. The food was good and my husband loved the coffee! Our room was clean and modern. There is free high speed Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk. It is a charming hotel. If you are in Hamburg, we recommend this hotel. The setting and location is wonderful!

Superb hotel, Sebastian et al are excellent hosts. New hotel, fantastic location close to center of Hamburg in the new Hafen city development. Lovely clean and modern rooms. Missing Hamburg already
