I dropped by this bar, and Pauly crafted the best espresso martini I’ve ever had! The music was great, and we had a fun time playing pool. The vibes were awesome, the bathrooms were clean, and the whole place just had a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning!

A Night of Laughter and Gratitude! I can't express how much we enjoyed the comedy show, all thanks to Vet Tix and the generous donors who made this experience possible. From start to finish, it was an evening filled with non-stop laughter, great energy, and unforgettable moments. The comedians were absolutely fantastic—each one brought something unique to the stage, and the crowd was completely engaged the entire time. As a veteran, it means so much to have organizations like Vet Tix that recognize and honor the service of military members in such a special way. The chance to unwind, laugh, and be surrounded by fellow vets and supporters made this experience even more meaningful. We could resonate with the jokes and the comedians brought so much joy and lightheartedness into our lives, and we're deeply grateful for your continued support of veterans and their families. We had a blast and can't wait to attend more events in the future! My only advice would be to reorganize the seating with round tables and chairs around them. The chairs needed more padding, and with the rowed seating you could not engage with your company.

Google
Absolute hidden gem. Hilarious lineup of comics in an intimate and very cool space. Will definitely be back!

Google
This place is super intimate and provides a speakeasy-esque atmosphere. The owner is a comic so he makes sure to really curate the talent on the shows. Been multiple times as a patron and as a comic (open mics and classes). Cool date spot, street parking, centrally located in Burbank.

I love visiting Nitecap! Came here on a whim a while ago and was impressed with how many talented under-the-radar acts drop by. You can bank on a fantastic night of comedy at Nitecap and you’ll leave tickled. - RT

Google
Unassuming venue from the outside, which makes it all the better in my opinion. No alcohol served, but a nice little selection of mocktails. Very small, intimate space. The host and comedians were great- and I'm pretty picky. Would definitely recommend.

Google
Such a cute place, I was laughing so much. Worth the drive.

Google
Great night out. Fun intimate setting with great comedy and drinks. If you’re looking to do something fun in Burbank, this is the spot!

Yelp
Ok so this was definitely one of the most unusual set ups for a comedy show I've been to but I swear it was also one of the BEST shows I've been to! Small place, u enter through the alley and are basically in what would appear to be a backyard of a converted garage. At first we were so skeptical , but hang in there cause lemme tell u I go to at least 2 comedy shows a month and this was the most fun I've had at a show in a long while! Only a handful of us were there in a pretty intimate space but I think that was half the charm of it. Do not miss out on this very cool experience! I'm sure I'll be back again soon.

Yelp
Such a fun and unique venue! Very intimate space, feels like one of those cool underground spots in NYC or SF. Every comic was really strong, some bigger names, some up and comers. Definitely a fun way to spend an evening!

Yelp
First of all, this place is more than "blink and you'll miss it". If you didn't know it existed, you very likely would never know it's there! Secondly, you really can't compare this with "typical" comedy clubs in town...not even Burbank's other comedy clubs (Flappers and the LA Connection theater). With all that out of the way... If someone rented a duplex and said, "I'm turning this into a comedy club" and saw that idea all the way to completion...that's what you have at The Nitecap. It is an almost familial feeling upon entering - they're happy to see you! Some of the comedians will be working the door and bar (part of the 1 drink minimum, which isn't obscene in terms of prices), and they're glad you're there, too. You also get quite a list of comics, and while some were funnier than others (as it always goes) we were surprised that ALL of them had their moments. Was I really yukkin' it up THAT much at a converted duplex comedy club? I sure was, and at the start, I looked around: there were 16 of us. If something didn't go over, the comedians would know right away...but to my delight, that wasn't an issue. A real pleasant surprise, and (if you're in the area, or your plans suddenly change) a good thing to keep in mind for a nutty evening.

Yelp
We had a great time celebrating my cousin's birthday here! They were very accommodating of our huge group of 18. The experience was awesome, from waiting to enter in the alley, to the setup inside. Very intimate, which I think is how stand-up should be experienced. Everyone was very welcoming, the rest of the crowd was great, and all of the comedians were very funny. We asked Aaron afterward if there was anywhere open late nearby for food and he had a lot of great suggestions for us.

Yelp
This is a fun comedy club in a residential neighborhood, in a basement. Small club, but it's clean and the staff is friendly. They have one clean restroom and drinks at the bar. They have a large lineup of comedians and it's really fun. Lots of parking in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Yelp
Small comedy club that had us laughing all night. Such good vibes here! No food available and a 1 drink minimum but highly recommend!

Yelp
Wanted to check out this local venue and get a few laughs, support local talent, and just have an enjoyable time. It... almost worked. But read on for some details: Venue The venue is surprisingly small but not unwelcoming. It's actually kinda cool that nestled in Burbank there's this teeny little place with three rows of chairs that hosts up and coming comedians. I love that there's this sort of underground artistic community brewing in this part of town. So don't let the size throw you it's a good venue. They also have a nice outdoor area you hang in and drink before they open the doors. Most of the comedians also work the door and bar. So it's an intimate all hands on deck vibe. Cool by me. They're friendly out front. Cost A few mentioned tickets are a little costly. And they do require a one drink minimum. They're up front about this. It's gonna be like 35 bucks or so a person. To me this is not a big deal and it's supporting artists. Also a burger costs this much in town now anyway. Drinks The drinks we had were simple. But strong and good. You can get a plastic cup margarita or old fashioned. Get lubricated before the show! Performance Here's where things fell apart for me. Unfortunately. And on a few fronts. First. Look. You're gonna get varied levels of talent. Some good. Some bad. Some off. And for real I had a few gut busting laughs. One thing I noticed though is almost every comedian was working off a set list on an iPhone. Like they couldn't even take the time to remember their own script. I mean. If you wanna nail it in this town. You have to go above and beyond. I'd think memorizing your own work is kinda one of the first things you can do to set yourself apart. Why this mattered? Because even the best comedians (which were two hilarious women) would often stop, clearly lost, then look at their phones and recalibrate. So everyone kinda peaked in the middle then trailed on too long. Maybe this is the way things are now and it's the norm. I dunno. But as someone who works hard in the industry, I see ways to easily notch up and wonder why people don't take them. Sure it's hard and takes time. But that's performance baby. Second We were asked not to heckle the performers. Fine. But boy did some of the performers heckle the crowd. Especially my GF who was front and center. More on this later. Third. The last guy. Who was the bartender and I think owner. Oof. A few other one star reviews here mention he's "edgy" without being funny. Seems like he also repeats the same "I'll do what I want" Schtick when audience cease laughing. If you like unfunny jokes about killing and hating cats, or being called out as gay in the audience. This is the show for you. Maybe toss in some abortion jokes with a very cishet male skewed 1992 perspective on things and your all set. I'm not one to shy away from edgy topics. I help create a very edgy show. But it's in the execution. When it becomes clear someone is trying just to go for shock value with no nuance, through line, or message, and the audience ceases laughing half way thru. Time to pivot. Andy Kaufman you are not. If the goal is to entertain then it's the connection between audience and performer. If you're going to dismiss your audience and do whatever you want at their expense, it comes off as narcissism. It sucked cause it put a lame button on the night and made everything feel kinda second rate. I think it probably killed all the libidos in the room cause none of us came out of there feeling excited. I'd hope this place and crew focus on tightening their material. Maybe workshopping with each other, getting off book, doing the same harsh notes we give each other in tv, and then taking their work next level. It's a gem of a venue and they could really turn this into a breeding ground for new talent and not just a rinse and repeat mid level comedy show where everyone complains about how poor and miserable they are. Hope this helps.

Yelp
Ok, at first sight, this place looks a little sketchy... dark, in an alley, behind a rolling gate..But let me tell you it was surprisingly awesome, safe, quaint, it's own vibe and uber funny!!!! The comedians had us all laughing (they were actually funny) and the improve comedians were fantastic and quick on their feet!! Can not wait to go again! Great job, guys! Telling everyone about this place. Don't miss an opportunity to go if you're in Burbank and looking for something fun to do. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Attended the Piano Night tonight and had a great time. So much talent. What a great little venue. Cute outdoor area with a bar. Lots of street parking.

Charmaine R.

Yelp
It was small but fun. The comedians stay after and you can chat with them. The staff were friendly and nice. They let us arrive late which was a blessing because we were in traffic. I wouldn't mind coming again.
google avatar

Anne H.

Yelp
First time attending and had a great time! I went with a friend who uses a walker and the staff was very attentive. We got served our drinks first and was escorted to seats in the front row before everyone was allowed to enter. The comedians were very entertaining. They didn't curse, which was refreshing and their jokes were about topics that everyone could relate to. While the room is small, there was a good vibe from the other customers. The show is about 90 minutes which is perfect timing. I was having so much fun that I would have enjoyed seeing one more comic. I'll definitely go back to see another show!

Sandra C.

Yelp
Had a great time here last night! The club was incredibly accommodating with our huge group, but they even gave us restaurant suggestions at the end of the night, which was so kind. :) Comedians were absolutely hilarious and everything was reasonably priced. I'm looking forward to coming again!

Yelp
We didn't know what to expect and we were Pleasantly Surprised. A very Quaint Atmosphere and Comedians so Funny, Our jaws were hurting a day afterwards ! Recommend for a Cozy Date !

Yelp
First time going to The NiteCap this past Friday with one of my besties. Really intimate venue that is very very unassuming but it's all about the comedians and the lovely people working there. Really enjoyed our lineup which included some stand out comedians for me; Gabby Lamb, Keenan Baker & the host / MC was great but I cannot remember his name! Loved meeting and talking to the proprietor, Aaron who is also a skilled comedian. All around a great spot. I will be returning!
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
You know for what it was it was great! People who want to be big in the industry. Everyone has to start somewhere. Some good some not that great but not BAD lol. Just maybe need different content or ways of presenting their jokes that's all. It was a very very tiny venue which I absolutely loved! It felt super personal and almost vip due to the size. I would hands down go back again if I lived here but I don't do it was def a fun and VERY affordable gig :) I wish them all the best of luck k'

Yelp
Had a good time at OnlyFriends. Surprise guest was Taylor Tomlinson. The pacing of the show was good and there wasn't anyone running long, This is a super intimate space with 20-30 seats. On EB the description says drinks are free with donation but you actually you need to buy one drink; when I got there they said there is a one drink minimum. The only issue I can think of is the show started late around 9:20 pm. I thought it was supposed to start at 9 pm.
google avatar

Sandra H.

Yelp
They are located in the alley way in the back ! I was lost for a bit. I wasn't the only one but it all worked out. They give you a warm welcome walking in and serving some quick to do drinks to loosen up the laughing box. Had a great laugh and time. It is a small room so if you are a bit claustrophobic I recommend sitting in the back. Buy your tickets and enjoy your time !

Yelp
My favorite venue in LA! I've been several times and every time I have a blast! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Yelp
Great place to go if you love comedy friendly people and fun atmosphere can wait to go again

Yelp
I brought a group of friends here recently and we had an amazing time! Highly recommend for a super funny chill night out in Burbank. We even recognized a few of the comics from TV and Netflix! The drinks and atmosphere was great! We will definitely be back

Yelp
Upon arriving, my friend and I were early, so a nice gentleman who later turned out to be our bartender suggested we go down the street to a Tiki Bar and then come back. I really enjoyed the Tiki Bar, and we returned. The website stated that doors open at 7:30, but we were made to sit outside where it was hot. After complaining amongst ourselves, they eventually let us in where it was cool. My mom recently passed, and I wanted to go out and have some laughs. A young lady was doing her set, and things were going well until she started making fun of death. Not quite sure why she went left, but I didn't find it funny. After my friend told her I had recently lost my mom, she tried segwaying her way out, still not being funny and still talking about death. She finally got off the stage, but by that time, I was already in my feelings, and the one drink minimum you must buy didn't help my situation. The next comic came on stage, but by then, I was not in the mood, and I stated, "I can't take any more," and I got up and we left. My first time going there and probably my last.

Ashley R.

Yelp
Went for the first time tonight (for their Thursday set) and LOVED it. Such a good vibe and the comedians were hilarious. Drinks were also really good. The bartender was accommodating as he offered to turn one of their shots into a cocktail and I'm so glad he did because it was perfect. It's a far drive for us but I'm sure we'll be returning for another date night in the future! I now prefer Nigecap to the bigger venues.
google avatar

Beccy Q.

Yelp
Yes they have a restroom. Yes they take credit cards at the bar. Yes they have good comics. Look, not every standup comedian is going to crush it, but the overall vibe here is encouraging and full of community. Also they have a heater on the patio for the colder months, so yay!
google avatar

Tony A.

Yelp
Great location. Nice and intimate space. The patio bar prior to the show beginning is amazing. I am coming back for many reasons but supporting live comics is the best reason!
google avatar

Tony S.

Yelp
A sure bet for comedy. Highly recommend! Great bar, great staff, the whole experience is like a secret you and your friends will want to tell everyone about!
google avatar

Mike E.

Yelp
A wonderful comedy club where you can see some of the next big names and some already huge ones. Feels cool to be at a comedy club that is intimate without being insanely priced.
google avatar

Nancy W.

Yelp
Even though there is no food at this place. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service at the little bar was great. The comedians I saw were mostly unknown, but they were all wonderful.

Yelp
My partner and I went to The Nitecap for the first time this weekend and we had a BLAST! The venue is cozy and everyone is super friendly. I couldn't stop laughing the entire show... Exceeded all my expectations. The lineup starts smoothly but they manage to build up to some hilarious craziness! Definitely coming back for more.

Joe B.

Yelp
It's a great place for comedy !! Venue is intimate and the comics always rock. New Material Night on Wednesday is always blast .
google avatar

Weston P.

Yelp
What can I say, it's a place for laughs. What's better than that. Add some fun decor, good people and you have a perfect night cuz ;)
google avatar

Yelp
Such a Burbank gem tucked away in a perfect intimate spot for top notch comedy. Parking is a breeze and the shows have the best comics. Plus drinks! A great way to spend an evening!
google avatar

Gabriella R.

Yelp
I am new to the area and had one of the best nights I've had here in LA at The Nitecap. Awesome venue, social environment, great drinks, amazing comics! I really enjoyed my night and so did my friends we will definitely be back. After the show some of the comics stuck around and I was able to talk with them everyone was super kind! Overall great night. I don't understand how anyone could write a bad review for this place!
google avatar

Rob P.

Yelp
Amazing local venue. The owner is also very cool and handsome. Must go!! Better than any other club nearby.

Yelp
One of the best places to watch comedy. Intimate and a great lineup every weekend. Great place to take a date.
google avatar

Liz G.

Yelp
I love the Nitecap! Fun feels like secret location

Charles A.

Yelp
Was here last night, Saturday. Start time 7:30. Actually started 8:15. Not cool. As expected comics not first rate. Several blamed lack of laughs on the tough audience. So maybe don't quit your day job. Several hinted they might quit. Follow your heart. Price is 25. That's what I paid + ticket agency fee. Next to me paid 16. Add cost of drinks. All in all I hope they get better comics. Not worth more than 15 and drinks need to be very very cheap. Only enough not to lose money.
google avatar

Colleen C.

Yelp
I want to give a bad review to keep it a hidden gem, but it was a great experience! I love the speakeasy feel of the place, the staff is great and the night we went the comedians were abrasive and funny AF!

Jordan K.

Yelp
The Nitecap is my favorite place to see comedy in LA! It's an intimate venue that gives you an up close and personal look to awesome comedians! Can't recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I have to say, my over all experience at the Nitecap was very disappointing. First off, it was $85 (yes, you read that correctly - $85!!!) for TWO tickets and two gross cheap double drinks (one drink minimum per person, in addition to the high ticket price). I didn't even order a double but apparently the bartender made me a double, so I got charged for one. And it was so disgusting, barely drinkable. $85 for two tickets to a comedy show, in an apartment, with only a couple of the 5 comics actually being good is a terrible deal. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this place is EXTREMELY over-priced, and one comic was so BAD that literally nobody was laughing. He was making sexist, very un-PC jokes that were not the least bit funny. I get that stand-up comedy is not always PC and sometimes the non-PC stuff is the funniest, but this was just awful. Then, as another reviewer mentioned, he blamed it on a tough crowd. Well, we were all laughing hysterically at the two actually funny comics 10 minutes later, so maybe it's you, dude. My friends and I definitely will not be going back!
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
Cozy venue in Burbank with fresh and experienced comedians many from HBO Netflix and rotating from larger clubs. Parking is free and safe. An outdoor patio has drinks you can purchase while you wait for friends and there is no drink minimum to buy. They have two open mic nights for aspiring comedians and rotating nights of experienced. Prices vary but the Friends Only on Tuesday night is one I never miss and is a bargain usually at $5. I started going in October last year and still go at least twice a week. Stop fearing gathering and start laughing at The NiteCap!
google avatar

Shelbi S.

Yelp
Really cool place. I was nervous at first because there wasnt a lot of people there and that it might be kind of awkward. However, this was not the case at all. All of the comedians had us rolling. I definitely reccomemed checking this place out.
google avatar

carol s.

Yelp
My friends and I went tonight for a Saturday show. It was a small and intimate place that had about 30 people. The show was clean without much cursing words. We had a great time there.

A W.

Yelp
The Nitecap is a perfect place in the Burbank area to spend a night laughing and having fun. They have great comedians, great atmosphere, and just all-around a great vibe and good time. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

G. Alexander H.

Yelp
I had a really good time at Aaron's event at The Nitecap. It's kind of like a VIP experience in a comedy room. Aaron was a totally awesome and friendly dude and warmly greet me and showed me around the event. The comedians were absolutely hilarious and I was dying with laughter the entire time. I can't wait to come back again and will tell all my friends and family about this amazing event. I have absolutely no negative or critical get remarks or thoughts about it, it was all so terrific and worthwhile, go ahead and book this now and you'll have an amazing night guaranteed.

Gerry S.

Yelp
Small, Intimate club with lots of laughs. I'd rather go here than an oversized, crowded venue to see any show. it's also close to the Nep Cafe which is a great place to eat before the show.

mike s.

Yelp
One of the best comedy clubs in LA! All the comics were incredible and I'm definitely coming back again!

Rena H.

Yelp
Great place! Very fun and funny, a good night out. Run well, fun place to go with friends.

Joe F.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite comedy spots. Ownership does a phenomenal job curating top tier talent and the small space really allows for an intimate vibe. The Nitecap is a phenomenal place to bring friends or a date to. I can't recommend this place enough!
