"This takeout food window/beer hall is the best place to drink craft beer in Santa Barbara, with some pretty strong bar food as well. You order your food at Nook (get the lobster mac and cheese), then stroll over to their outdoor patio and proceed to drink your afternoon away with their 19 taps and over 300 different varieties of cans and bottles." - brant cox

"The Funk Zone is known for its wine tasting rooms. But at The Nook/Lama Dog Tap Room, things take a hoppier turn. This beer hall is the best place to drink craft beer in Santa Barbara, with some pretty strong bar food as well. You order your food at Nook (get the short rib burger and lobster mac and cheese), then stroll over to the long communal tables at Lama Dog and proceed to drink your afternoon away with their 20 taps and over 300 cans and bottles." - Brant Cox

The Nook is inside the Lama Dog Tap Room and my husband, and I wanted to try their burgers since they came highly recommend by the locals. I’m so glad we came here! I was impressed with their burger selection, and it was hard to decide what one to get. The burgers are generously sized, with a thick and juicy patty that fills the bun. The patties are cooked to perfection, retaining their natural juices. Each bite is succulent and flavorful. You’ll find a variety of toppings to customize your burger. From classic lettuce, tomato, and onion to more adventurous options like avocado or caramelized onions. The buns are soft, slightly toasted, and hold up well against the juicy patty and toppings. The seasoning is spot-on, enhancing the beefy flavor without overpowering it. Whether you like it simple or loaded with toppings, The Nook’s burgers are a delightful treat for your taste buds and don’t forget the seasoned fries! They were perfect nice and crispy just the way I like them! We rolled out of there we were so full! Remember, taste is subjective, but most visitors agree that The Nook’s burgers are a must-try when you’re in Santa Barbara! They also offer other types of food if you aren’t a burger person such as salads, pork belly quesadilla, and sandwiches.

Nice bar in the Funk Zone. The Lama Dog is right next to the Nook. Love the Funky atmosphere. Open. Bright and fun.

Went here on a Friday and there are a lot of people just relaxing chatting and Many had brought their dogs which is kind of nice. The space seems to be a collective of a few restaurants and wine bars, and the food from the nook was self serve. I had the halibut tostada, which was delicious and the lobster macaroni and cheese was very good too. I would go back here for sure . Parking is a bit tight then we ended up parking at the end of the road on Mason

quality doesn’t rlly match the price imo. the pizza i got was quite charred and almost burnt on the bottom, though the other pizza we had wasn’t as bad.

Pretty cool spot , family spot too . Pizzas are delicious and really rich . The nook complements the two bars . Great place to hang out and chill . Cold original fresh beers , great staff , lovely service . Watching the games is really fun there . My favorite pizza is roared mushrooms and the one with lamb the Greek one .

Great menu with something for everyone! Now with pizzas too. I think I just had my new favorite mushroom pizza in town! Plus a great California Caprese salad. More reasons to keep coming back…

Came here based on the reviews and dog friendly restaurant suggestion. Upon arriving, there is no one to seat you, so you can seat yourself. There is a tiny outdoor area where you can find seating for you and your pup. Pups must be leashed. It was nice to see so many pups. All well behaved. The ambience is pleasant especially on a cold day. Outdoor heaters were on, so it wasn't too bad. My friend ordered the Reuben Sandwich with fries. He was very satisfied with his order. I had the Mahi Mahi tacos, which were delicious along with a side salad. The house salad was a tad sweet and light just the right amount of sweet and tangy to drizzle on greens, strawberries, tomatoes, and pickled onions. The service was great every one was helpful and friendly to my pup. Definitely did not disappoint.
