The Nori Handroll Bar & Izakaya

Google
We were in the area and my wife wanted to try this place, and the food was incredible. I’d say it’s comparable to what I had in Japan. From the sea urchin to the udon noodles, the quality was excellent. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area again. I also appreciated how they wrap the seaweed and separate it with plastic until you’re ready to eat—this keeps the seaweed crisp, something many sushi restaurants don’t do which they should also consider doing.

Sarah C.

Google
Stopped by Nori for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Our server JB was quick and attentive and gave fantastic recommendations. I highly recommend checking out if you are in Vegas. My favorite was the uni and yuzu scallop hand roll

Lyra P.

Google
I saw this place in an Instagram post and wanted to try it, and it was definitely worth it. The food was great and the service was excellent. My son is allergic to milk and eggs, and they accommodated us by making him an allergen-free soup.

Google
Omg, what an amazing gem in Las Vegas. The food was amazing, some of the best hand rolls I've had with so much variety. The service was excellent. This restaurant is a must visit. The soy sauce and wasabe are house made and add such a nice quality to the food.

Neil C.

Google
Extremely good food. We ordered a lot of different dishes and all we perfectly on point. Couldnt ask for a better experience. Billie is an excellent server too! Sure this might cost 15% more than other places, but the food and service is 100% better than other places!

Google
Familiar with Kazunori in NYC a Handroll Bar I thought to give this place a try and I was pleased. The sushi was fresh and creative. Their hand rolls are styled like a "taco". The nori are individually wrapped to keep the handroll texture as it should be. This also allows you to get your whole order and talk, drink, not have to rush into eating knowing the "nori crunch" window is fading. Handrolls should be eaten as soon as you receive it to ensure maximum crispy texture. They should give you a 2 second instructional on how to properly unwrap your handroll. The soy sauce comes in a dropper bottle..yeah I get the "cool" factor but just give me the traditional bottle. I ended up removing the dropper and poured it in my plate. The drinks come with a frosted mug. Perfect compliment after a long day. Nigiri was excellent, handrolls were very good. I will be back.

Google
Definitely one of my favorite places for fresh, hand rolls!! I love their Scallop selection on hand rolls! All of the hand rolls I’ve had are amazing but it’s the scallops that keep me coming back. Yasmin was very great too! TY

Jeremiah A.

Google
Five stars. The sashimi sampler at The Nori was incredible. Fresh, well chosen, and beautifully presented. JP was a fantastic server and made great suggestions. Chill vibe, fair pricing, and easily a new go-to in Las Vegas.

Karen S.

Yelp
I got the nori lover and the spicy edamame. The hand rolls tasted super fresh and the edamame is some of the best I've had. The yuzu mimosa slush was very refreshing, definitely recommend. The staff were great as well and very attentive.

Naida H.

Yelp
Been there twice and all the food was good. The Nori hand roll sets are tasty and the prices are reasonable. I like that the nori is covered with plastic and you just need to slide it off so it stays crisp. They offered me a free sample of a new yuzu mimosa slush which was very yummy! Try it!

Gabriel N.

Yelp
Best A5 Wagyu Nigiri in Las Vegas! Service is A+. Love the ambiance of the place. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We came here on a random night with some friends and I'm wondering why we didn't come sooner! I absolutely loved the uni ikura toast. My husband got the hand roll sampler and he enjoyed each part of it. I want to come back to try more things. I can tell it's a small family owned business and I'm happy to come back and support any time that I can!
google avatar

Ben J.

Yelp
We stopped by and the food was great. They were doing 2 for 1 beer and saki. We were give. A free roll when we arrived. All the hand rolls were delicious. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I ate at Nori with my girlfriend and it had been a while since my last visit. The menu has expanded, but we both ordered the classic Nori Lover and also tried the uni scallop crudo, which was a great bite. They also brought me some ice since I had injured myself, which I really appreciated. The server was interesting... and talked to us a lot since it was a slow night, but he was nice and even gave us a free scallop miso dish. The only drawback is that they charge a 3 percent credit card fee, which I'm not a fan of. Total of all the dishes + 1 beer was $100 including tip + 3% fee. Overall, good food and solid service with some thoughtful touches.
google avatar

Kelly N.

Yelp
We were driving into Vegas and decided to stop by this restaurant for a quick bite. We got the Nori Lover set, which came with salmon, spicy tuna, blue crab, shrimp tempura, and miso eggplant. Everything was delicious, but the standout for us was definitely the blue crab--we loved it so much that we ordered another one! Friendly service and an easy stop on the way into town. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Vegas.
google avatar

Chelsie R.

Yelp
Finally tried this place! We had lunch here and its bigger than it looks from the outside. Our server was friendly and we appreciated and enjoyed what he recommended, especially being first timers. Every thing we ordered was delicious. Everything was fresh! That Tiger shrimp special was FIRE!!! Definitely would come back for a date day/night!
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
My husband tried this place before and he mentioned how inexpensive their handroll was and that it was pretty tasty so of course we had to come again. The place is quite large and spacious. Not busy at all for weekend lunch. We each got the handroll set. I got the lover and he got the specialty. We each added an additional handroll as well. The handrolls were super fresh and yummy. So well priced! We also tried their uni toast special but perhaps skip, since it wasn't that special. Texture-wise, they probably needed to add something crispy/acidic to balance all the creamy flavors. I also tried their nonkotsu karaage, I love the tendon-y chew. But for the amount you get, EH skip. Overall come for the handrolls!
google avatar

Katrina O.

Yelp
Love it here! I usually come for weekday lunches, where it's not busy at all. The servers are always really nice and can answer questions about menu items and allergens. My favorites: - Miso eggplant hand roll (must try!) - Premium sushi set - Garlic edamame Great place for a chill lunch with great food -- for a great price!
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
I've had this place bookmarked for awhile, so glad I got to try it with some friends. We took a few minutes trying to decide what to get and we all opted for the Nori Lover. I loved the simple presentation of the tray with each individual hand roll. They leave the wrapping paper on the seaweed so it stays crispy when you're ready to eat it. Super smart idea. My favorite was the Crab and Eggplant. I also loved the Yuzu sorbet, it was a perfect blend of yuzu and the sorbet texture was soft, smooth, and creamy. Very great quality and delicious. All of them were super yummy though! The place was dimly lit, and plenty of seating. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Patil K.

Yelp
Have been here plenty of times now since my last visit and safe to say they've officially expanded their menu and offer a great variety of options - something for everyone! They have a great option of fresh nigiri and sashimi (must try is the salmon belly, bluefin toro and Jerome's special dish: salmon belly sushi topped w/ yuzu & mango). As of today they also started serving dessert which is a great addition to whatever you get! Service is incredible. I dine in here solo usually sit at the bar and they treat you like royalty. They've also got an amazing happy hour too!
google avatar

Angie V.

Yelp
My fav casual hand roll joint. Fish is always fresh. My favorite item on the menu is their hamachi crudo. The yellowtail is so tasty! My go to hand roll is definitely the salmon skin! It's delicious. This is a must try spot. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Shoutout to Yasmine and Jerome! Will be coming back soon.

Yelp
The Nori Handroll Bar & Izakaya is located in a small strip mall. The parking lot is somewhat small. Mood lighting and house music in this place. They can accommodate a 8-12 large group of people. The service was good and attentive. *Salmon Kama: grilled salmon collar, house ponzu (4/5). Simply seasoned and perfectly cooked. The charred lemon was smoky and added a brightness and citrus-y flavor to the salmon. *Silken Tofu: housemade silken tofu in honey-sesame ponzu sauce, topped with sliced avocado (5/5). This was absolutely fabulous! The tofu was gelatin pudding-like. It confused my senses like is this a dessert or a savory appetizer. My wife and I really enjoyed this. *Handroll Set: All sets are served with miso soup. "The Nori Lover: salmon (4/5), spicy tuna (4/5), blue crab (5/5), shrimp Tempura (4/5), miso eggplant (4/5). Support your local business. We will be back.

Yelp
Wonderful hand roll bar that is unique and tasty! Every time I've come here, I've been seated immediately! They offer combos with assorted hand rolls so I got 5 hand rolls which tasted great. The miso eggplant hand roll had a sweet factor that was quite unique. It's a casual atmosphere, but you could also come here for a nice event like a date or birthday.
google avatar

Deeanna S.

Yelp
We came to celebrate my birthday lunch and their happy hour is amazing! The otoro hand roll was incredibly fresh and practically melted in our mouths -- definitely one of the best we've had. A surprising standout was the tako wasabi -- so flavorful and perfectly balanced. Our server, Jamie, was fantastic! She made our experience even better by introducing us to the yuzu slushie, which was refreshing and the perfect pairing with our rolls. There's so much more on the menu we didn't get to try because we were absolutely stuffed -- like the udon uni pasta and miso butter tiger shrimp -- but they're already at the top of our list for next time. We'll definitely be back soon -- everything from the food to the service to. Highly recommend coming during happy hour for an amazing experience!
google avatar

Marina R.

Yelp
If you haven't been to The Nori, you're seriously missing out! From the moment we sat down, JB made the experience unforgettable -- funny, engaging, and somehow knew exactly when we needed something before we even asked. 10/10 customer service. Now let's talk food: impeccable. Every bite was pure happiness. The hand rolls? Absolutely to die for -- perfectly crisp nori, warm rice, and fresh, melt-in-your-mouth fish. And whatever you do, do not skip the Giant Miso Butter Tiger Shrimp. It's rich, buttery, and the kind of dish that makes you rethink your life choices (in the best way). The ambiance ties it all together -- sleek, modern, and just the right vibe for a date night or catching up with friends. Bottom line: amazing food, killer atmosphere, and JB's service took it over the top. Run, don't walk, to The Nori.
google avatar

Edmund K.

Yelp
I visited The Nori two years ago and was blown away back then -- but coming back now, I'm honestly speechless. Everything -- the taste, quality, and service -- has leveled up even more. You can really tell how much care and effort goes into every dish. The toro and tiger shrimp were absolutely phenomenal -- so fresh and flavorful that I was genuinely surprised. This place has easily become one of the top Japanese restaurants in Las Vegas. And now they even have great sake and draft beer, which pair perfectly with the food. I couldn't recommend The Nori more -- it's a must-visit spot whether you live here or are just visiting Vegas.
google avatar

RJ B.

Yelp
Tried The Nori the other day and were thoroughly impressed with both the food and service. We ordered the Nonkotsu Karaage, Nori Lover, Salmon Kama, and the Crunch Roll--each dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The Nonkotsu Karaage was crispy and juicy, with just the right amount of crunch, while the Nori Lover and Crunch Roll delivered that perfect balance of texture and taste you'd expect from a quality sushi spot. The Salmon Kama was cooked perfectly, tender with a nice char that brought out the rich flavor. Very flakey and melts in your mouth. The crispy rice spicy tuna was one of my favorites on the table, very well balanced spice and crunch Service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, with staff checking in at just the right moments without being overbearing. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality we received, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, The Nori exceeded expectations, and we'll definitely be coming back for more.

Yelp
This place was so good! The ambiance was very casual and open. The menu had a lot of variety. We ordered a whole bunch of things to try and out of everything we tried here are my faves.. Spicy edamame Spicy tuna hand roll Eggplant hand roll Tempura hand roll Salmon hand roll Hamachi Kama Spicy tuna crispy rice Last but not least the service was amazing! So refreshing to come to a restaurant where the servers are happy and make their customers feel happy as well. Eden was so kind and made our experience a 10/10! I didn't get the girls name who also helped us. She was so nice!! If you were working on 4-19-25 at 8-9pm then you know who you are :) will be back for the salmon and the eggplant hand roll!
google avatar

Cara B.

Yelp
The Nori is my go-to hand roll spot in Vegas. Ingredients are super fresh and everything always tastes amazing whether I dine in or order delivery. This time we ate in, got seated right away, and the food came out fast. I ordered the Nori Lover which comes with salmon, spicy tuna, blue crab, shrimp tempura, and miso eggplant. Every roll was amazing and it's honestly hard to pick a favorite. The space is clean and modern and the staff was really helpful explaining new rolls and specials. I haven't tried their happy hour yet but they showed us the menu and it looks solid. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
This place is a must try. Great staff. Food is out of sight!! Drop what you are doing and get here.

Yelp
Really great food. Great service. Inside is very nice. Fish was fresh. Salmon Nori Roll and Blue crab roll were my favorite

Yelp
Five stars. The sashimi sampler at The Nori was incredible. Fresh, well chosen, and beautifully presented. JP was a fantastic server and made great suggestions. Chill vibe, fair pricing, great music, and easily a new go-to in Las Vegas.

Yelp
Kids' and my favorite handroll sushi restaurant. Every time we come to Vegas, it's a must that we make a stop at The Nori. The seafood is always high quality and fresh. Their handrolls are done very well. Staff are very kind. Restaurant is clean and quiet. This place is a gem. One of the best in Vegas.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow everything is tasty. Im plant based and was able to find plenty of yummy dishes. Service is amazing very friendly and accommodating. Will be back!
google avatar

Maquel C.

Yelp
The flavors were great. Loved how unique it was here. The spicy tuna crispy rice was amazing. Loved the happy hour menu. They weren't stingy with the meat. My only negatives were that we had to ask for plates, napkins, and ginger/wasabi. And I wasn't super crazy on having a ton of seaweed paper, but that's a personal preference.
google avatar

Nathan A.

Yelp
Just got finished eating here and the service and food was amazing! Loved the warm welcoming ambiance and friendly staff. Would highly recommend checking them out!
google avatar

Toni P.

Yelp
Delicious food, friendly staff, and modern and clean space. Walked in hungry during lunch time, and walked out very happy and full. The space itself is large enough to host a bigger party. The food quality is to die for!

Yelp
Great food and service! Food came out really fast and our server Billy was great. Yummy food and good quality.

Yelp
We visited on Saturday for lunch with a party of 3 adults and 2 small children and it was a very good experience. We arrived and were seated immediately in their spacious dining area. We were the only customers at 11:20 AM. The waitress provided waters and took our order. We went with Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna Tartare, Salmon Poke, Kurobata Sausage, Salmon Carpaccio, Spicy Edamame, Nori Lover Sets, Dynamite Handroll, Salmon Kama, Chicken Teriyaki Donburri, Miso Soup, and a Blue Crab California Roll. All the items were very fresh, well prepared, and tasty. It is a bit strange, they leave the plastic wrap on the seaweed in their hand rolls. You need to remove it before eating. The service was excellent, the waitress was prompt and effective. I only wish that they had a liquor license, a sake would have been nice. Overall, and excellent place for Japanese fare.
google avatar

Jamie L.

Yelp
The quality of food and portion on each handroll is amazing! Definitely my favorite place to go for sushi that's not ayce. I highly recommend this place!!
google avatar

Yelp
Sean Is a Star--Exceptional Service and Delicious Sushi! From start to finish, our dinner at Nori on South Durango was amazing--especially thanks to Sean, who truly went above and beyond! He welcomed us with such warmth and made us feel at home right away. Super attentive, kind, and on point with recommendations. The sushi was incredibly fresh, the vibe was fun and comfortable, and Sean's care really elevated the whole experience. One of his suggested roll sets (Nori Lover) ended up being the table favorite! The miso eggplant is underrated and very uniquely palatable! Huge shoutout to Sean--his energy and service made our night unforgettable. We'll absolutely be back. Everyone needs a Sean when they dine out!

Yelp
I hardly write bad reviews but this one is needed. I don't understand how this place has such good reviews? I'm genuinely confused. I recently went to Sushi Nori in Seattle and that place was A1, top tier. I was craving hand rolls and saw this place on yelp. I was hoping to get the same quality but it was no where near close. First, the appetizers were terrible. The shrimp and vegetable tempura- were like onion rings lol. The batter was thick and it didn't taste like tempura at all, what kind of batter is this . The ika geso karaage or whatever that was, was ehhh - not good, very salty. As for the hand rolls... omg I when I tell you I was disappointed- I was HOT! The spider roll... again mixed in a freakin onion ring type batter. It was BAD. Eating it made me upset because who said this was okay? The truffle salmon (it was on the board as one of their special items) - BAD! The quality of the salmon was by far THE WORSE I've had... the AYCE restaurants have better salmons than this. $9/$10 FOR THIS SALMON with the tiniest piece of truffle from a jar? IM HOT! The salmon belly with caviar.. don't get me started. The caviar was def old or had been opened for a long time because it wasn't fresh. It had a weird sour taste to it. $15 or whatever for that? Yeah I was BIG MAD. Overall I give the food a 1/5. I'm legit mad I paid extra for the special items and everything else. I'll stick to AYCE places instead of this because. AYCE is cheaper and the quality is hella better. Giving the place a 2/5 because they played good music - but other than that I don't recommend it.

Yelp
Loved this place and their homemade soy sauce! The soy sauce really did it for me. Although we came at 8 and they closed at 9 our server (Billy) was great!

Yelp
MY visit was very quick and intentional. I knew what i wanted before I got there and I just felt that everything would go well. I went alone on Sunday and was 1 of the 3 tables occupied. I was greeted upon entrance and seated immediately. The menus are scannable and I notice they had happy hour 3-6 pm everyday (def coming back then to see what's up). I ordered the nori set (came a tofuless miso which was a first and the crispy calamari. Yummmyyy, some of the best calamari I have had . It was crispy, not oily and authentic squid - perfect. Then the nori set came shortly after, was beautifully presented and easy to eat. - Eggplant was cooked to a perfect texture that was soft and firm enough to not be a mush - Shrimp tempura was light and crispy - Blue crab was creamier than i prefer - Spicy tuna tasted so fresh, subtle spice, and a great portion - Salmon was smooth and fresh paired with these crispy onion flakes that really balanced the flavor The older woman server was quick, efficient and attentive. I paid and was sent off. I look forward to going back veryyyy soon.

Yelp
Delicious little spot! I ordered take out, and it was fast and easy. All the fish was really fresh tasting, my least favorite was probably the shrimp tempura hand roll, but, it was still good! I loved the tuna tartare with chips, amazing and slightly spicy, chips very crisp without being too oily, etc. hamachi was good as well, I could have eaten more of it. Since I didn't dine in, I don't usually give a full on 5 stars, as I didn't get to experience ambience etc... Definitely a place to go if you want delicious and quick, there's no alcohol beverages, it's not really a hang out kind of place, but great for takeout. I would have had a glass of wine perhaps, if it were available and maybe stayed instead of leaving.
google avatar

Angie A.

Yelp
This quaint little spot is such a hidden gem. So of the freshest oysters I've ever had, perfectly prepared hand rolls and a soundtrack that lends itself to an intimate lunch or dinner. I always order the oysters the price and prep are excellent. Add to that the fresh wasabi and you can not go wrong. The burn is so organic and short lasting unlike your usual paste. The menu is quite extensive though I stick to The Nori Special. The entrees come with miso soup and the sake is piping hot. Highly recommend TheNori but it's one of those spots you want to gatekeep. Everytime we come Carise, the hostess/waitress, is working and she's highly knowledgeable and quick so tip well.
google avatar

Diana P.

Yelp
This was our third time at The Nori, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the service is always friendly and attentive. It's easily one of our favorite spots in town -- highly recommend!
google avatar

Elisa H.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Sunday and absolutely loved it. I ordered the nori lover handroll set with a couple substitutions, the tuna tartare which came with homemade chips, and the salmon carpaccio. Their fish is great quality for the price and their handrolls come with individually wrapped seaweed so it stays crispy til the moment you are ready to eat. The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived and the service was attentive. The sushi chef came to our table to show us how to dissemble the plastic covering the seaweed for our handrolls. The dining room includes a sushi bar top but we opted for table seating. From the looks of it, people seem to really like their happy hour menu so will definitely have to come back next time to enjoy those prices.
google avatar

Amanda H.

Yelp
The hand rolls here are amazing and worth every penny. My favorites were the scallop and eggplant. Try their salmon skin salad, it's also very good
google avatar

Victoria N.

Yelp
LOOOOVE this place!! Literally the first place I ate at when I moved to Vegas a few years ago and the prices and food is still amazing as ever. I would def rec getting the nori lover or nori speciality if it's your first time so you can try a bunch. Also don't sleep on the silken tofu with the house marinated ikura!!!
google avatar

Liezel A.

Yelp
3-6 happy hour. The place is clean and the workers are very nice. They kept our water in tap and also fill up our tea. The sushi tastes very delicious. My favorite is crab and scallops. I recommend I go for happy hour and get your buck for the sushi. Great place to hang out with your friends and family. So lucky it wasn't busy that afternoon.
google avatar

Kyle G.

Yelp
Came during happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was 30-40% off the regular price which was an awesome plus. However, I could definitely see why some people would complain if they came during normal hours and paid full price as it would take 4-6 hand rolls to get full. Tried a variety of different hand rolls (yuzu scallop, spider, salmon, eggplant, and shrimp tempura). All of the hand rolls I tried had fresh ingredients, crispy seaweed wrap, and had great flavors. Service was super fast, friendly, and welcoming! Really liked what I tried and can't wait to come back (during happy hour)!
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
I was excited to try Nori, and our first visit was quite good - maybe a 4 star experience. The flavors they emphasized were varied and powerful, elevating the simple handrolll. Unfortunately our next visit was quite a bit worse with the service sparse and the food was not as flavorful. I hope that if I do decide to give this place another chance I will be able to enjoy it as much as my first visit. The interior could use some love as well. It feels as if they wanted a modern and clean look, which is fine, but the overwhelmingly gray plain walls with black chairs made it feel drab.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Hidden gem! This place was surprisingly good! Reasonable prices, VERY tasty, strong drinks! Def gonna be back this week!

Yelp
We were in search for a hand roll spot and after trying them out I'm sorry to say that we're still in search for a spot . Our server was great . The place is clean and sleek . Quality of fish was great. We ordered: (Keep in mind what you individually order cause they group it all together) Salmon carpaccio was more like salmon sashimi drenched in ponzu sauce and topped with semi thick onion slices. Blue crab was fresh and not too bad . Salmon truffle was all truffle . Couldn't taste the salmon. Salmon ikura was mid. The ikura was flavorful . Yuzu scallop was great quality with light flavor. O-toro was not the biz tbh. Like at all. Presentation was ick. Uni ikura was skim. But the quality was there. Spicy salmon we didn't even try. Let's be clear.... The nori is in a plastic wrap you take off yourself. The rice is pre-measured and pre-shaped.
google avatar

Kara O.

Yelp
Love the vegan options here! The miso eggplant hand roll was so tender, flavorful and well-made. We also had the spicy edamame and miso soup, both were top tier in terms of these appetizers in Vegas. Our servers were so attentive and the restaurant felt very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Yelp
So the happy hour menu says happy hour every day 3-6. We walked in at 3:30 on a Wednesday and were told we had til 3:45 to order last call because they close on the weekdays from 4-5. So happy hour is actually from 3-4 and 5-6 on weekdays so plan accordingly. Food was good. Like ok good. Double check your bill. I was mischarged for a few items that were mistakenly regular price instead of happy hour price and would have paid $20 more. No biggie. The waitress was nice she offered free dessert. That chocolate mousse cake was bomb.
