"A charming place that know their beer and the right way to serve it. Stocked with a variety of tipples to tempt even the most astute taster, they also know the right beers to mix and have great food to match. If you're unsure of what your flavour is, the guys behind the bar will ask what you like and be able to give you a selection that you’ll thoroughly enjoy. Opening hours Monday to Wednesday 4pm - 11pm Thursday 4pm - Midnight Friday 3pm - Midnight Saturday 11am - Midnight Sunday 11am - 10.30pm Kitchen is open Monday-Wednesday 6pm - 10pm Thursday-Friday 6pm - 10.30pm Saturday Noon - 10.30pm Sunday Noon - 9.30pm" - Holmes Wood

Popped in for a late lunch. The food was nice, the decor was ok, the staff (new) but overall a great place to catch up with friends. As it got busier the atmosphere was great and the manager was really lovely.

A fine, gentle unassuming offering from Young's. The Northcote in Battersea is a little quirky, of the shabby chic genre. The beer is plentiful and varied. Only one cask ale on today though (at least as far as I could see). A modest but appealing selection on the menu, wholly appropriate for the place. A most enjoyable drink was had.

We hired the private room for our son's Christening for 25 guests over lunch. Vilija went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly and Sable did a brilliant job looking after us on the day. The food was delicious and the portion sizes very generous! Thank you again for looking after us so well.

Absolutely stellar experience at The Northcote! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere swept us away. The cozy ambiance coupled with friendly staff made us feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the chippy board – it's an absolute masterpiece! Every bite was a burst of flavor, from the perfectly crispy fish to the golden-brown chips. Each element on the board was clearly crafted with care and attention to detail. Pair that with a refreshing pint, and you've got a match made in heaven. Whether you're a local looking for your new favorite spot or a visitor seeking authentic British pub fare, The Northcote is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

Came in with a few friends for a couple of pints and a catch up and got served by a lovely Irish girl. Was looking at the menu and got recommended a sharer called the chicken and friends so we went for it and it was amazing! Can’t wait return again and try the chippy board

One of my favourite pubs in London come here with friends and family all the time. My favourite thing on the menu is the chicken burger it’s by far the best chicken burger in London and for Clapham it’s affordable and the staff are always so friendly! If you are looking for an espresso martini this is the place to go

Yelp
Very average pub in London. It was great for sitting and chatting for a short while before promptly moving on. The beer list is short, they don't have any fancy cocktails or wine, and seating is a rarity. I guess it's a pretty popular place for locals, where I imagine everyone sits in the same seat every day; creatures of habit for sure! It certainly wasn't my favorite pub to visit, but it was a-okay.

Yelp
I have read your response and the drink was purchased at your pub. My wine was originally in a glass and I asked the bartender if I could have a plastic cup because you are not allowed glass outside in the smoking area. He poured my wine into the plastic cup, refer to the CCTV footage. Another point, you do realise I paid for my wine on my debit card which means it will confirm I bought the drink at your venue and the CCTV footage will also show I only had one drink. The fact that you find the need to lie when it involves such a serious matter is absolutely disgusting It says a lot about the business. If you think someone taking something out of my hand without my permission is friendly you have lost your mind. Also, I was not invited to stay... it amazes me that you were able to tell I was invited to stay by the CCTV footage with no sound. Do you read lips??????? You also stated I was approached by the assistant manager and the head door man and it was covered in the CCTV footage. If you had looked at the CCTV footage you would have seen there was only one person who had approached me, and it was the man who aggressively took the drink out of my hand. Again, Caught in another lie where you claimed I was approached by two people look at the footage I was only approached by one person. It is clear by your response that you haven't actually done a real investigation and referred to your CCTV footage because if you had your response would have been very different. I wouldn't recommend that anybody attends this pub who is not white. I was at the pub yesterday and I was outside with a glass of wine when I went inside I asked the bartender to put my wine into a plastic cup adhering to the pubs rules. When I walked to the other side of the pub a member of staff who had been told by his manager to come over to me very aggressively grabbed my glass out of my hand and told me I had to explain my drink to his manager. He proceeded to say that she wants me over there right now to explain myself. There were multiple people using plastic cups, but the only person who was singled out and asked to explain themselves was me a black woman. It felt extremely racially motivated. There were Multiple people watching the situation, I have never felt so embarrassed and scared. I let him keep my glass of wine and I left the pub. I didn't go out to be made to feel that way. shame on the pub and its manager, it says a lot about the business.

Yelp
It's not a bad place, lots of seating available. But is expensive, a pint of Twickenham Grandstand ale at 3.8 strength costs £4.50. The bar clip says it's a good session ale and perhaps it is, but not at these prices.

Yelp
A firm favorite with me particularly because whenever I go in there are always super hot men everywhere! And I'm not talking your Abercrombie, Hilfiger, American teen girly looking boys. I mean straight up Eden Park meets the Milk Tray man! Aside from the eye candy, they have a respectable wine list, from what I've seen a good selection of beers and lagers, spirits aplenty and a small fireplace - sold!

Yelp
I was really disappointed by my visit this evening. My friend lives down the road and I'd noticed their advertisement for a special Burn's Night dinner tonight instructing you to book a table on the night. I booked a table and when I arrived (1) they'd seemed to have lost my reservation, despite my having an email confirmation and there being plenty of signs around other tables showing they were reserved for other people (2) I was abruptly told I was not permitted to order off the Burn's Night menu as making a booking wasn't enough I was also supposed to state I wanted to pre-order my meal when I booked. Since I don't live in the area and the Burn's Night special was the only reason my friend and I had come, this was really disappointing. Throughout this saga the server upstairs showed us absolutely no kindness or understanding and seemed like she wished we would just leave. Her co-worker who later took my order was equally cold. Because of the delay caused by them refusing me the event menu and then serving absolutely everyone else in the bar before coming back to me, my friend received her meal and had almost enough time to finish it before my meal even arrived. Given the rest of the crowd there (almost no one was ordering food, people were getting unbelievably loud and rowdy after drinks in a small space) I can only assume the coldness and rudeness we received from the staff was because this was a bar for locals and those they didn't recognize at the bar were absolutely not welcome. I would NOT recommend this pub, especially on a weekend, if (1) you are not a regular and (2) you want to have a civilized meal with a few drinks. I definitely won't be going back and despite being the best behaved table in the place and spending some money there on food AND drink, I don't get the feeling the restaurant would want our business again anyway!

Yelp
Since moving to Clapham Junction I have become a regular at the Northcote which is now my closest pub. The Northcote is always busy especially on a Friday night but it has a nice atmosphere and is always easy to get served then find a place to sit/stand with your drink.

Yelp
already had couple of dates in this lively and lovely pub. It has a great atmosphere and apparently the food is fabulous! It is bit pricey, but worth a visit.

Yelp
Thursday night was not so bad. It's a little too crowded for my taste, but I had also been playing tourist so I really wanted to sit down. It struck me as having a meat market feel. They had pear Bulmer's so I was happy. I would have liked to have sat on one of their couches.

Yelp
Although I've never had the food here so I cannot speak to that, I'd like to say the employees were very rude here. On our way into this pub on a cold night they told us to take our hats off ( which it fine, but they were so grumpy about it) after we said okay that's fine the bouncer told us not to drink too much because we didn't look good anyways... I thought he was extremely rude and decided not to give my business to any company that would employ such a nasty person to represent their bar. We went next door to northcote records which is a fantastic bar with great music, great drinks and great employees/bouncers!!! Go there instead!!!

Yelp
Let's be clear. This is a city centre pub, not a local. It has some of the highest prices I've encountered in London (almost £5 for pint of shandy), terrible quality (although friendly) bar staff, and it's horrifically busy. Seriously. Find a pub or find a bar but don't compromise with this half way house.

Yelp
Does a really good burger, cooked to taste with really nice homemade chips. It wasn't very busy but I think that will change if all the food is as good as this
