"This restaurant inside the impressive Adare Manor hotel has all the grandeur you would expect, with wood-panelled walls, lavish chandeliers and a glass-enclosed terrace with views over the 850-acre grounds. It's a fittingly formal experience, with a tasting menu at its heart that shows off the best quality produce around, along with some decadent touches – the result is dishes like glistening turbot cooked on the bone in a punchy mussel and saffron sauce, finished with a scoop of caviar. The wine list is a labour of love and offers a superb range by the glass." - Michelin Inspector

Adare Manor Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"Helmed by Chef Mike Tweedie, the Michelin-starred Oak Room was reason enough for me to visit Ireland; it showcases seasonal, sustainable fare with an emphasis on local meats and carefully chosen wine pairings curated by the manor's award-winning sommelier (recipient of Michelin’s first-ever Sommelier Award)."

Google
A wonderful experience. Not cheap but stunning dishes, excellent service, a room with amazing atmosphere and we were blessed with a beautiful evening in which to enjoy the grounds of the hotel. A truly memorable experience.

This was an amazing dining experience. The chef came out and spoke to us individually about our main course. The seevice and food were wonderful!

Obviously, the place is lovely and the staff are top class. But considering the price, the food simply didn't cut it. The beetroot salad was great, and we savoured every taste of it. Same with the bread - high quality selection with tasty butter. Deserts were also great. But the mains themselves were fine but didn't stand out. At this price and standard we expect every dish to be a success, yet this wasn't the case here.

Google
We had a truly amazing evening at the Oak Room, enjoying the 6-course tasting menu for our 20th anniversary. The experience is seamless, from our initial greeting, to our servers for the evening to the chefs explaining their art. We had driven there so went for the non-alcoholic pairings, which were each careful thought-out, explained to perfection and utterly delicious with each course. So often these are a by-thought to the alcoholic options but not here, which showed their complete dedication to detail. The food was stunning. We are foodies and love visiting Michelin establishments and can honestly say this has been our best experience to date. The venue was equally amazing, you can see why this will be the venue for the 2027 Ryder Cup.

Google
This is more than 5 stars. The cuisine, wine list, and service are at the absolute highest level. Our travel group had a tasting menu in a private room which was incredible. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Will be back. Bravo!!!

The Oak Room in Adare is a gem! The food is unique and absolutely delicious, with every dish beautifully presented. The cozy and inviting atmosphere makes dining here a real treat. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful experience. It's definitely a must-visit spot for a memorable meal in Adare!

Was lucky enough to dine here for my 50th birthday. We did the signature menu with wine pairing and WOW!! I have been to several Michelin restaurants and how this is a 1 * is beyond me, it deserves more!! We dined at a 2 * in Dublin earlier on this trip and this by far exceeded that restaurant. Best meal of our trip by far

Google
Definitely worthy of the one Michelin star, attentive service and a highly recommended tasting menu. See photos for more of an idea of the quality of their offering. Hoping to visit again very soon.

Yelp
The BEST atmosphere. You really feel like actual Royalty when you stay here. The staff and service you receive at this hotel, if not the best in the world, then someone needs to stay there to see why it is the best. Everyone-and I do mean everyone of the staff-were super friendly, nice and helpful. The USA has some great hotels. Dubai probabaly has some amazing hotels..but then there's your hotel. In a class all its own. Like Elvis. If I had the means, I would go back there in a second. No wonder you're the best hotel in the world. I traveled with my mother who has stayed in some very nice hotels all around the world and even she was impressed! If you want the best of the best, and can afford it, this is the place to stay. Hands down.

Yelp
Wow! This beautiful, charming castle hotel is really amazing. From the moment you arrive you feel so special. Every staff member is so attentive, kind, friendly and will go above and beyond. This entire place is so well kept. The rooms have some great decor and are so comfortable. The food is always fresh and delicious. This was a dream to stay here! So lovely!

Yelp
The atmosphere at this exquisite manor is nothing short of absolutely gorgeous and divine. From the moment you arrive, you are enveloped in an ambiance of elegance and tranquility. The manor itself is superb, a true testament to refined taste and architectural beauty. What truly sets this place apart is the lovely staff, who are dedicated to making every aspect of your stay as pleasurable as possible. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth ensure that you feel welcomed and cared for throughout your visit. The surrounding park is a stunning expanse of natural beauty, offering serene walks and breathtaking vistas that captivate the senses. It is a perfect retreat for those seeking peace and inspiration. This destination is undoubtedly a must-visit when in Ireland, offering an unforgettable experience that combines luxury, comfort, and the enchanting allure of the Irish landscape.

Yelp
Pretty much middle of nowhere, but stunning grounds, hotel, customer service, food and more! Could not be happier with our stay. Although very steep pricing, it was amazing. Golf was incredible and the views! Oak Room was delicious! Carriage steak sandwich was yummy too!

Yelp
We stayed here again for another long overdue family getaway. And to reiterate... There is NOWHERE like Adare Manor... Beyond Everything...

Yelp
Adore Manor is one of the most spectacular properties at which I have ever stayed. The Manor itself is beautiful capturing the romantic setting of a castle like structure but with everything completely updated. Fabulous finishes, large spacious rooms , excellent food and beautiful bar spaces. Two additional qualities really set this property apart. First, from top to bottom, the staff is outstanding. They are so friendly and welcoming, while being highly efficient at anticipating your every need. Whatever you want, just ask for it and it appears and always with the nicest smile. Right from the effusive greeting at the front gate to your bitter sweet departure, everything is geared to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Second, the golf course is epic. Plenty challenging from the regular tees, but if you really want to test yourself, which I did not, play it from the TIps. The course condition can only be described as pristine and the caddies are top notch. Beautiful scenery throughout and love the old Abby ruins (frequent site of Viking raids, at least according to the caddies) on the back nine. While we came out for a wedding, I cannot recommend this property more highly and fully expect to return!!

Yelp
The staff at this hotel redefined luxury I would give them seven stars. If I could after saying it over 1000 hotels I could categorically said they are in the top 1% in the world. It is pricey, but the kind of room you get, and the kind of service you get the price is fair there's some hotels I've stayed at in Taiwan and India are comparable in the US. It's hard to find a comparable hotel room. The staff here is extremely service oriented. They go through an intense training program for six months in order to be able to work here. We stayed there for a week and couldn't find even a thing we could complain about. Even the Grand Hyatt in Times Square or the Fairmont in Boston and California are a shade below this one.

Yelp
We visited here in January 2020 as part of a group with my husband's employer. It was marvelous. First of all, the castle and facilities were extraordinary. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate, and the activities and dining were first rate, all the way. Our group's tour buses were met by several staff members (uniformed, of course) on horseback and a whole slew of foxhounds! It was a beautiful site - them running across the lawns to meet our buses at the castle entrance. The dining options were great with the upstairs dining and the carriage house both offering superb menus. The service was so unintrusive you almost didn't see the servers at all! Food, beverages, utensils, etc. almost appeared by magic! The rooms were very, very nice, and quite spacious. We stayed in the addition to the original castle, and it was beautiful. The attention to detail by the staff is really wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa, and the attendants went out of their way to anticipate our needs. It's just a short walk to town, and well worth it. Your views will be amazing, and the fresh air, and brisk temperature felt wonderful and rejuvenating. This destination is certainly deserving of five stars, and is a must see when visiting the area. We loved it! Loo

Yelp
I don't quite have the financial fortitude to stay at the manor hotel, but I did go to the Carriage House restaurant for dinner during my recent visit. The food was fantastic, and more reasonably priced than I expected. I know it's a little thing, but the onion bread they bring each table was unbelievably good. After our meal, we walked over to the manor, and were lucky enough to be given a short tour, and let get a drink at the bar. The manor is an exceptional place, and the drinks were fantastic (and reasonably priced to boot). When I do make it back to Ireland someday, I will be sure to splurge on a stay at the manor and a round of golf.

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel! Breakfast is delicious!! Service is amazing!every single details are gorgeous! Once you check in, they do remember your name. That can tell you how great they are. right? I am very excited to stay this hotel for 7 nights

Yelp
My wife and I visited the Adare Manor in October 2021 as part of a large corporate group. It was fantastic and I now know what the best hotel in the world is - Adare Manor. Nothing compares to it any where in the world. The beautiful building, the gorgeous grounds, the unique activities, the delicious food, the great drinks, wonderful spa and unmatched staff. I can't describe it in a way that conveys how fantastic it is. The best way to understand it is to search YouTube for "WHAT IT IS LIKE TO STAY AT THE WORLD'S #1 HOTEL | Adare Manor in Ireland" In addition the golf course is superb and will host the Ryder Cup in 2027.

Yelp
Wonderful, magical and simply amazing. One of the best travel locations I've ever experienced. It's a must and absolutely worth the extra money to stay in an authentic 12th century castle! The staff are all very accommodating and show you true Irish hospitality. I especially like Paul, Pier, Bryan, Tom and the instructors at the Falconry School. The food was the best I had in Ireland in both the upscale and casual restaurants (we actually preferred the food in the Dungeon) The grounds were the highlight for me, acres of picturesque and serene gardens and passages to explore...you could spend a week just at this castle and still be spoiled for choice of things to see and do. I highly recommend both the falconry and archery and going out and exploring Cong and the many little hiking trails in and around the area, it's simply gorgeous and you honestly feel like you've gone back in time and you finally fully understand what Yeats was writing about in all those epic poems. I really can't say enough about this place, they do everything right and you're truly able to explore the wondrous irish landscape as if you were nobility. I miss this place so much! It really made the trip to Ireland the incredible experience of a lifetime.

Yelp
Splurged a bit on our first night in Ireland by staying here. The grounds are immaculate, the building looks amazing, service is exceptional, the rooms are extremely comfortable. For almost $1000 a night, you sort of expect all that. The golf course looks spectacular, but I don't play so take that with a grain of salt. Breakfast was impressively decadent. I'm sure I could drudge up a flaw or two if inclined, but it would be a quibble. Here's what earns the fifth star, dinner at the Oak Room exceeded our expectations. We chose the three course option. With a couple of amuse bouche and some petit fours it was almost as elaborate as the six course tasting menu. Every dish was superb. The beef, the lamb, the duck appetiser, the cheese board, it was all brilliant. I had moderate expectations, having read a lot of trash tok about Irish restaurants. All false, at least when it comes to this one. There was a great mix of European sauces, with interesting south-east Asian flavours in a couple of the appetisers. We asked to sit by the windows, instead of the darker, more formal dining room. That's as an inspired choice. The late evening Irish sunlight over the gardens and the river is almost worth the trouble to fly across the Atlantic. The wine list is very, very good. There's the usual array of Bordeauxs that cost as much as a night in one of the most luxurious suites. They've done a great job sprinkling in some moderately priced gems as well. We had a Volnay that was spectacular. Best bit is that after that fantastic meal, all we had to do was stumble down to our room.

Yelp
This review is of the villas, where I stayed recently. Yes, I truly mean 1 star. I booked this via Great Value Vacations (http://www.greatvaluevacations.com/vacation-packages/ireland/adare/luxury-irish-villa-vacation/PK-GC4P-AVG-DUBAIR) using one of those Groupon/Living Social deals. The package included 6 days in the villa. Now onto the main story: The signage at the property is not clear, particularly if you're arriving after sundown. It took us 20 minutes to find where to check in to our villa; at the Manor House, which does not say 'Guest Registration' near the entry door. After that confusion was handled, we drove to our villa and stayed a restful night. The bed was comfortable and there is plenty of space, particularly as it was just two of us in the villa. Now, in the US, you might think of a villa as something Italian with beautiful stone arches and warm breezes filtering through a sumptuous interior. Please don't arrive with this image in your mind. You can expect a rental house that been used for decades and not maintained well. This is truly a self-service experience, so don't expect anyone in your "villa" except to pick up the trash daily (that was nice, I guess). If you want fresh towels, there's a price for that. If you want a house cleaning, expect to pay big bucks. They say this on the website ('self-catering'), so there shouldn't be any surprise there. Here's an additional rundown of the house: While functional, the kitchen is small. The dishes and cookware that are in the residence is 'very' used to the point the Teflon has worn off and the handles are rickety. Expecting to bake in the oven? You get two thin kitchen towels with which to retrieve your food and no oven pans are provided. The nozzle of the water dispenser on the fridge is crusty with buildup. Though not often used there, the microwave is the size of a shoebox. Overall, greatly disappointed by the kitchen. There are plenty of bathrooms. However, only hand soaps are provided. Don't expect any other toiletries, so bring your own or buy them there. One thing I liked about the bathrooms is that the floors seemed warmed, which was a big plus. The towel racks were not in operation. The vanity (sink/cabinet) is from the 80s. The shower head was also crusted with deposits, causing the streams of water to go every which way except on you. Our master bath tub had a crack in it so we didn't use it. They have an FAQ for guests in the villas. There are many errors in them and they're not accessible until you arrive...but they read as if they're for pre-arrival. In one area, they recommend you pack specific clothing, but you're already there when you receive that paperwork, so... In another area, they describe the process to connect to their WiFi, which (as it also says on its website) apparently costs money. However, it was free. That was nice. Those FAQs should be on the website for anytime access and should definitely be accurate. The 'Villa Concierge' was off when we arrived, but was apparently available a couple days later. We never saw him or heard from him. Not even a welcome note or knock on our door at this 'luxury' establishment. That made him seem unapproachable. The only person I saw was the guy who came to pick up the trash. Other things: -the walls are marked up...every wall -the rugs are stained terribly. -vents are not cleaned and dust is caught and layered in them -the washing machine has mold in it -windows screens are not commonly used there. If you open a window, expect moths. I took photos and added them to the business listing. I read that this place has been sold several times. I think the villas were built in the 80s or 90s by a Florida financier and have not been maintained or updated. Cleaning is minimal between stays. I think this place uses vouchers and vacation packages to stay afloat. In my experience, the 'luxury' part of the experience was not at all evident at the villa. Though we booked 6 days, we stayed 5. I told the concierge at the Manor House on day 3 that we were leaving on day 5. I wasn't asked why we were leaving. There was no concern. I guess since they had their money already, it didn't matter. I came with high expectations and left with an abysmal experience. I don't recommend the villas and I will not be staying there again.

Yelp
Such beautiful grounds, and even more stunning architecture. Suites are divine, staff is friendly and attentive. Food is delicious and they were very accommodating with vegan options. Could not have stayed in a more wonderful place!

Yelp
It's a visit to Royalty. This is the MOST amazing posh hotel. Always looking for some Royalty because you on see this in movies. Bathrooms are bigger than many homes. Staff very kind, helpful. The garden is truly fit for a King. Breath taking view. Very safe, kid friendly

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. My stay actually took place in the villas and I could not recommend them enough! The staff was amazing and friendly. We stayed a week and they kept up on the trash and making sure everything was well. The front gate staff was very nice, I do thing the villas need access to a key card of sorts so that we didn't have to ring the gate staff every time we wanted to get back to our villas (which was 2-4 times a day). I also thought it was weird that we checked in in a different place than we checked out and when we checked out super early to catch our flight, no one was at the desk and I kinda had to wander around until I found someone. Overall amazing stay and hope to come back some day!

Yelp
Best 6+ course meal we had while in Ireland. I can't say enough for the service and experiences we had while there. Can't imagine staying anywhere else while in Adare!

Yelp
As my first groupon trip experience, this experience exceeded expectations (exexex) The manor is located in Adare, County Limerick on the west coast. It is perfectly located for day trips in all directions: North to Galway (1hr), South to Cork (1.5hr), East to Waterford and Dublin (about 2.5 hr). After arriving in Dublin in the early morning we set off in our Dan Dooley rental, on the wrong side of the road, for the trip west. I should point out at this point that google has no idea where the entrance to the estate is. We zipped right past it through the town and around to the back (which is not a real entrance). In reality, it is a gated entrance on your left as you travel down the N21 before hitting the town itself. The grounds are quiet and very well maintained. There is a full golf course (I believe I heard a man say that it was 90Euro per game). I also saw signs for FALCONRY but alas, no actual falcons. They do have a castle ruin to the left of the main entrance as well as a small stone building near the gates to access the town. The morning breakfasts are buffet style. They offer scrambled and poached eggs, irish sausage, grilled tomatoes, potatoes, baked beans and an array of bread and cereals. It was very delicious and worth the extra package for them. I knew that the villa would be large but when we arrived it was like a full home! The groupon was initially for a group of at least 4 for the duration of the trip and we paid a small fee to go as a single couple. The ground floor had a study, washer dryer unit, full kitchen, dining area living room, sitting room and access to a back area. Upstairs had three bedrooms, one of which had twin beds, each having their own private bathrooms. The study can be converted into a 4th bedroom, if necessary. Parking was abundant, though some people felt it was necessary to park directly in front of their villa instead of in the parking lot itself. Since this was my first time to Ireland, I am so thrilled we took a trip like this. It was amazing to see all different parts of the country and have a home base in such a lovely little town. After this first trip, we can specialize the area that we would prefer to visit on future trips. I am unsure of how expensive this would be without the groupon package, but with airfare and this hotel we spent around 1200 each. There was a 100$ package for 3 breakfasts, entry to the cliffs of Moher (gorgeous, jaw dropping beauty) and the waterford crystal experience (not the best, couldn't get in because of the tour groups). We were able to extend the flight so we could take a few extra nights in Dublin at the end as well to help us experience more of Ireland. It was a pleasure to stay in Adare.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to celebrate our five year aniversary in Ireland and booked a great package through Sceptre Tours. Our package included 6 nights in the Adare Villas, airfare, and rental car (2,000USD). Since our package was so inexpensive, I didn't think our hotel would amount to much (they had to save money somewhere right?). We were wrong. The manor house is lovely, but the villas are lovely in their own modern right. Our villa had 3 bedrooms upstairs, each with it's own private bathroom. Downstairs there was another bedroom furnished as a small office with a couch instead of a bed, and another bathroom with a shower. There was a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, family room, dining area, and a sun room. The house was recently constructed and all of the fixtures, appliances, and home accesories were super modern and beautiful. Also, the concierge and staff were incredibly nice throughout our stay, in fact the concierge Patrick assisted us on our first night at the house by walking us through the house and demonstrating how the various electronics, appliances, and fireplace worked. He even booked our reservations for Thanksgiving dinner at the carriage house restaurant, and entertained us with some great "craic!" Overall, we had a great stay...my cheif complaint was that the bed in the master bedroom was super hard ( I sleep on a pillow top at home...and this was ultra firm), and there's a great lack of pillows...we had to steal the pillows from all of the bedrooms in order to sleep with a total of 6 really flat pillows! So if traveling with a large group consider bringing pillows from home, or buying some cheap ones at the local shopping center in Limerick. Also, there is a Centra grocery store that closes at 10 PM down the street from the hotel for provisions. Most of the other shops and restaurants in Adare are only open from 10 AM to 5 PM, save a few pubs and the gas station.

Yelp
If I could give this resort 10 stars, I would, Impeccable amenities, breath-taking grounds, spectacular service. Adare Manor is by far the best hotel in Ireland.

Yelp
One of my all around favorite places on earth. Just a simply stunning hotel. The grounds are perfect. The golf course is perfect. The staff is amazing. The food is great.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS HOTEL. The employees are nothing short of amazing and kind and they are super cooperative. Not to mention food, rooms, etc. This place is a literal castle. If you don't plan on staying at the hotel, there is a really nice place called the carriage house which is also a part of the manor. They have excellent food and its one of the best places in adare for tourists. This place is definitely expensive but worth it and you get what you pay for . 5 stars for overall excellence.

Yelp
Stayed in the Villas for a week and absolutely loved it. Adare is an adorable town. The staff at Adare Manor we're so welcoming and friendly. The resort itself is so safe, with guards out front 24/7, and clean. Would love to return in the future.

Yelp
Excellent in every way. We stayed in the Manor House and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Beautiful, stately rooms throughout the manor, including some that are intimately tucked away. We made it a point to enjoy each of them, whether for breakfast, a drink or just a cup of tea. The location is also perfectly situated to explore the picturesque village of Adare. The newly renovated golf course is stunning but pricey. Tip: There is a decent course adjacent to the manor course and about a tenth of the price. One slight hiccup: Dinner at the Carriage House was enjoyable, but I think they're still working out the kinks. The renovations were only recently completed.

Yelp
This review is for the Villas, not the manor. Many of the things the reviewer who gave it one star said are true. It is very confusing to get to the Villas once you are past the gatehouse. There are no signs and you pass random fields and buildings first. You will think you must be going the wrong way but you're not. The walls, furniture, flooring, etc are a little banged up. Personally it didn't bother me. I'm actually more comfortable with some nicks than a room that's so pristine I'm afraid I'll damage something. The other reviewer was absolutely right in that no shampoo or conditioner is provided. No hair dryers either. Two laundry detergent tabs are provided. I could see a family staying here and making good use of it. We imagined a sensible family that picks up some local groceries and makes breakfast and prepares snacks before sight seeing. I didn't test the cookware so I can't speak to the quality. The villa was very spacious. Kitchen, dining room, sun room, living room, office, laundry room and 3 bedroom upstairs, each with their own bathroom. It was too much space for just the two of us but that's not the hotels fault. The other reviewer was right about the services too. Except for the men in top hats at the front gate, I never saw staff. No one came in to make the bed or tidy up. Again that didn't bother me as I prefer privacy. Location in Adare was great. Restaurants and bars were very good. We enjoyed our trip and our stay but it may bother others more than us.

TC D.

Yelp
Amazing grounds! We stayed in the Villas. There are 5 US outlets scattered throughout the unit. Very quiet & peaceful. Clean. The only complaint I have is the DRYER is a "condensing dryer". Which means a container inside the dryer has to be emptied after each load. Finally figured that out after 3 dry cycles and clothes weren't dry. And the stove top took about 15min for 2 adult woman to figure out. LOL. That being said- I wanted to Irish experience. So I didn't mind. In fact, the villas are 'rather american' in my opinion. Would have preferred more traditional. Staff was amazing. I love that they don't clean the unit daily. They do take trash daily. We had dinner in the manor 1 night. It was excellent. The carriage house is slightly more casual; but wasn't open when we arrived.

Yelp
It is incredible to believe that 4 people can stay at a villa with their own rooms for an affordable rate. We were lucky to have found such a deal with Sceptre Tours. The package we found included airfare and rental car as well. (Note: It is wise to fully cover the rental car with insurance. Ireland has high auto accident rates, and therefore your credit card may not insure additional coverage.) Adare Manor is a bit of a drive from Shannon Int'l Airport. Once there though, it is incredible to see such a marvelous castle exist within the village of Adare. The castle grounds encompass multiple villas, a golf course, and Adare Manor, the castle, as the center point, itself. We stayed at one of the villas that gave us a view of one of the golf course holes. The view from my upstairs bedroom was incredibly picturesque, as well as that of the sun room downstairs. The villa had all the comforts of home: a living area, a fully-equipped kitchen, a laundry room, and a furnished patio area outside. The Adare villas require occupants to be self-sufficient since it is a complete residence. But with all the comforts of home, it's not so bad. The Manor and the villas are but a short walk away from the village center. Once there, you can find shops, pubs, restaurants, a park, and a church to suit your desires. From Adare you can drive to Cork, Killarney, Waterford, Galway, Dublin, and the Cliffs of Moher at relative distances. It is best to start your journey early in the morning. The villas are a wonderful treat compared to the nostalgic feeling of Adare Manor. The hearsay is that the Manor has thin walls, the beds and floors creak, and the heating is mediocre. Nonetheless, it would be nice to stay one night at the Manor and experience the glorious way of living 100 or more years ago. I can't wait to go back to Ireland!

Yelp
If you want to stay in a hotel that makes you feel like you are living in a fairytale, Adare Manor is the place! From the moment you drive up and see this majestic manor, you will be made to feel as though you are their most important guest. The rooms are gorgeous and have the most comfortable beds I've ever encountered. There are many cozy retreats throughout the manor for tea, dinner, beverages or games of chess. This manor even has its own cinema, showing nightly movies along with serving popcorn. There is just as much to explore outside on their beautiful grounds. You can also shuttle or walk to charming Adare Village for shopping, pubs and restaurants. I can't wait to come back and visit again!!

Yelp
I have stayed here a few times, I spent time in the Castle and it just confirms that I am living the #ballerlife. This property is high society big time. It is impossible to overdo luxury but somehow Adare Manor has broke the code. The balance of hospitality and expectations was rewarding. Sense of beauty from the property was highest. A legendary setting endless views of tranquility and serenity. Yes I am bragging just a little bit. This place is wondrous my stay was satisfied and yes I am sorry but I was the guest chugging Guinness out of the tap...you can take the girl out of the trail park, but the trail park out of the girl

Yelp
Thanks to my corporate travel buddy, I got a 2 day stay at this establishment to start off my euro vacation. The grounds is gorgeous, well-groomed and is the epitome of that old European ambiance. The facilities tries to capture that same effect, but has some spotty moments. My stay was in the manor itself. The room was luxurious with high ceiling and beautiful architecture. However, the period furniture looked a bit too worn. Also, the air-conditioning was a bit sporadic. I found the management staff to be very helpful and responsive. The Oak Room dining facility is nice and roomy. The server was expedient and I found the food excellent. The game fares like partridge salad and oxtail stew was fantastic. The wine selection was limited, but offered some decent choices and a few exceptional first growth Bordeaux. I was dining solo so I opted for a half bottle of the Chateauneuf du Pape that was suitably fruity but tempered with some moderate tannins. It paired well with my dishes. The golf course offers some quaint local scenery. The par 69, 18-hole course is what I would consider a medium difficulty course. A few dog legs and lots of bunkers with plenty of short drives mixed with 2-3 long drives at the end. The added rain makes the course more interesting. The folks here will play through pretty much anything short of a hurricane. I notice there is a nice equestrian facility, but I did not manage to allot any time to it. The spa is pretty good. I opted for the stress recovery package to ease me from the jet-lag and it was very welcomed. The Elemis facial made my skin feel warm and tingly and the deep tissue massage was awesome. I just wanted to pass out and sleep for a few hours after that. Overall, I understand that the place is a gothic style castle and I made allowances for it. But despite the wonderful amenities, in the end, it's still supposed to be a top-end premier hotel and in that regard, it fell a bit short of a total 5 star rating. But that should not discourage you from coming. It's a solid 4 star.

Yelp
Like staying in Wayne Manor. This place is unbelievable. One of the best stays yet we've had in Ireland. Wish we could stay longer. If you stay here have dinner in town at 1826. Easily one of the best meals we've had in Ireland.

Yelp
We stayed in the condos while the big house was being renovated. I can't say enough about our experience while on property. Patrick at the gate was a very welcome friendly face when we arrived late at night. The condo was equipped with a full kitchen, laundry, and a bathroom in each bedroom. I appreciated at least one US outlet in each room, we didn't have to switch around tons of adapters. The town itself is quaint and worth a look around.

Yelp
Everything was top of the line here. Great staff, super clean, and rooms are spacious and beautifully decor. Beds are super comfy with slippers and towel warmers. Chocolate truffles on the pillows each night with the turn down service. My favorite part was the made in Ireland soaps and shampoos you get. most hotels get the cheapest ones they can get and these are high quality items sold in most gift shops around here. I loved them so much I bought several others from the gift shop as gifts for family. Meals are average and priced a little higher than most places in the area but for the great service and wonderful views it is worth it. I just wish we had extra time to stay and explore on the grounds. if you can stay here it is worth the extra cash to stay in such a wonderful place.

Yelp
Well, the scenery is amazing. Four of us stayed here in June of 2015. We came, ate, drank, and played golf. The rooms could use a bit more "updating" to be brought up to current standards, but it did the job. We were pleasantly surprised by the golf course, very well maintained and fun. The restaurant in the clubhouse is where we ate dinner twice, and it was just fine. The service was very good. Grab a beer, sit on the patio, enjoy looking at a castle, and relax. Truly a wonderful setting. Spend a bit on the rooms and we'll be back every year.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the manor 2 nights while in Ireland! We wished we could have stayed longer it was so amazing! We didn't even want to leave the room we loved it so much. The bed was like sleeping on clouds, everyone on the grounds is so nice and helpful, they have a gorgeous woodland walk that is a must! Pictures don't do this place justice! I would recommend to everyone to stay at the manor!!

Yelp
We stayed at the manor for one night as a wedding gift. Everything was absolutely superb. We stayed in the old manor house, and really enjoyed every minute! Our stateroom was on the top floor overlooking the river and the golf course. A more idyllic sight you can't imagine. Completely worth the walk up the four flights of stairs. Our room was huge, by any standards. The slipper clawfoot tub in the bathroom along with the wonderful soaps they provide made for one of the best bubble baths I've had in a long time. The service is 5-star, all the way. They sent up two glasses of champagne, as my husband and I were on our honeymoon. They gave us gourmet truffles on our pillow with their turn down service, along with fluffy slippers and a cute little mat by each side of the bed with "goodnight" facing you as you get in bed, and "good morning" greeting you as you step out. We went on the complimentary historical tour of the manor, and we realy enjoyed learning about the Dunraven family history. I wish we had had more time to enjoy our stay at the manor, as I would have loved to take the hawking lessons, or spend more time exploring the grounds with their gourmet picnic. We also had what was supposed to be a four-course meal, which ended up being six. Everything was simply delectable. I had mussels, a simple autumn salad, a main course of halibut and scallops, and dessert of their salted caramel creme brulee with chocolate mousse and blood orange sorbet. My husband had rabbit, a cosmopolitan, the halibut, and a lemon souffle with meringue and blood orange sorbet. In addition to that, the chefs sent out complimentary courses of pork aspic and assorted mini desserts. We were so full after our meal, but it was such a wonderful experience. The only drawback is that the dining room in in the solar, so the only lighting is the candlelight on the table. It makes for a wonderfully intimate dinner, but makes it difficult to take pictures of the artfully presented food for my fellow Yelpers. Honestly, a trip to Adare can't be missed. I would give it more stars if I could.

Yelp
Adare Manor is possibly one of the most spectacular spots I have ever visited. The grounds are gorgeous with hidden gardens, lush landscaping, private little enclaves and of course the golf course. The Manor itself is truly elegant. Our room was in the original wing of the hotel and was nothing short of fabulous. It had a distinctive fireplace and enormous bathroom! Our window overlooked the water. The hotel staff is very professional and courteous---you almost feel like the Lord of the Manor. We had a wonderful time just exploring the hotel and the grounds. We loved the piano bar in the basement as well as the impressive special dining room where we attended a private dinner. We did not have the opportunity to have Tea but those we saw enjoyed an elaborate feast. I wholeheartedly recommend a romantic getaway to this special place.

Yelp
I stayed at the manor for just one night. I was so sorry we only had one night in Adare. I would have stayed in Adare for the week if I had the time. You must visit the website to see how beautiful the grounds, manor, rooms, and golf course are. It's not going to do it justice if I type it. We had lunch outside over looking the golf course. The food was delicious. So was our breakfast, served in a beautiful ornate room with high ceilings. Everything was fantastic regarding the manor and grounds. But I must deduct a point because they have no air conditioning whatsoever, the wifi was sporadic, and none of my three universal power converters worked. The bellman came up and helped us with an additional converter. So it worked out. Everyone was lovely. But if you are trying to work on your holiday, let's just say it's a challenge. They do have a business center just off of the reception area, with two desk top computers. I suppose most people shouldn't work on holiday, but I was in Ireland for quite some time and had no choice. All in all the place was magnificent. I just wanted to point out a few minor things especially if you plan on doing work while at The Manor. Definitely stay here or at the Dunraven Arms when in Adare.

Yelp
We had a family trip wrap up with 3 days at the Manor. It was a great experience. the staff and accommodations were first rate. Fishing, golf, bike & horseback riding spa, etc everything that belongs in a country manor is there. The dining and bars meet all expectations. The Town, right outside the gate, is a classic Irish town. Thatched roofs, plenty of pubs, etc.. If you are fortunate enough to try the Manor lifestyle, you cannot go wrong at the Adare Manor.

Yelp
A truly wonderful place to stay. The grounds are beautiful, and so is the manor house. We had a deluxe king bed room that was marvelous. If you get up at night with the lights off, the room detects it and turns on little floor lights so you can see. It was a sunny warm day on arrival, and the A/C in the room works well, a rarity for Ireland. The items in the mini bar are complementary, which is another plus. The staff is professional, friendly, and capable The staff also put a couple bottled waters in your car on departure. We were told by the man at the gate to prepare to be wowed with our stay. He was quite correct.

Yelp
We purchased a package through groupon which included the round trip airfare to Dublin, a rental car and 6 nights at the Adare Manor Villas. When we arrived on the first day they told us they had overbooked the villas but put us up for two nights in the manor itself and included complimentary breakfast for our party of 4 for both days. We really appreciated such generosity from them since we weren't able to provide our own breakfast. Staying at the manor was definitely an experience, the building and grounds are extremely well maintained and lovely. Breakfast was delicious, the full Irish was one of my favorite meals of the trip. They moved our luggage for us to the villa when it became available while we were out touring and everything was ready for us when we returned that evening. The villa was spectacular, 4 bedroom each with an en suite and they included an American voltage/plug outlet in every room. They provided all necessary kitchen materials and the entire place was extremely spacious. The town of Adare is very nice and close the manor as well. We had a brilliant stay here and would recommend it.

Yelp
Two wonderful nights with my princess fiancé. Everything in the hotel is what you might expect from the website and reviews of others. Definitely recommend dinner in bed!

Yelp
Wow!!! We stopped at the manor while visiting Adare and are so glad we did! Although we didn't stay there, we really enjoyed the beautiful decor and architecture inside and gardens and golf course outside. Inside, we sat in the bar area on oversized comfy furniture (apparently where Tiger Woods was last year) and had some Irish Coffee. Our server, Gary, was so helpful and very conversational answering many of our questions about Ireland and the Manor. If you have a helicopter, you can land on their helipad.

Yelp
Fairytales really do come true!! Spent a magical two nights at with my Prince Charming fiancé at Adare Manor, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Perfect hotel for those with discriminating taste...service was impeccable. This place truly is every girl's dream come true...especially when you come with your dream man.

Yelp
Stayed here in the golf condos last summer. We loved them! If I ever want to go back and bring my family to this side of Ireland, I will make sure that we stay here again. We had more than enough room for living and enjoyed the outdoor seating when we could. Short drive into the lovely town of Adare and great service at the front desk added to the experience. The rooms were large with plenty of closet space and huge, clean and new bathrooms. Adare proved to be an excellent location to visit the Irish countryside from. The Cliffs of Moher, Cork, Galway and the Burren were all within 2 hours away. The only downside was a lack of internet connection (it failed to work for us, so we used the business center) and the hodge-podge of kitchen utensils we had available... a pan, but no spatula; a pot for pasta, but no colander to drain it. We only ate at home once as a result, which was fine with us since there were plenty of places to grab a bite in town. There is Irish music literally every night in town at rotating pubs, so make sure you leave the comfort of your own home for a little!

Yelp
If you have the opportunity to stay at Adare Manor, by all means do not miss it! We spent three wonderful nights here in the main castle (not the villas, which are more modern and by the carriage house). Adare Manor is like something out of a fairy tale. The front desk help was friendly and polished, the room spacious and elegantly appointed, our view of the par terre garden breath taking. The grounds are huge and make for fun exploring. It's an easy stroll to the village of Adair (exit manor gates, turn left). Great experience. Add puppies and this is my idea of heaven!

Yelp
Wow what an experience to stay in a castle for a night! This place is really incredible - from the library to the waterford chandeliers. It was really neat to see what a caslte would have looked like. Although to be honest, a little frightening when I was walking around alone at night - what a great place this would be for a dinner murder mystery! A must see!

Yelp
An absolutely lovely place to stay! The rooms are large and well-appointed as are the bathrooms. The grounds of the manor are very nice for a stroll and the dining area downstairs is extremely well-stocked and the food is very good. The reception area lets you know right away the quality of the stay you are about to experience complete with piano. :) This was our final stop on a 2-week trip to Ireland and it was a very nice way to end the trip. It is expensive but it is well worth every penny that you pay. I would stay here again and try to take advantage of the golf and other activities on the grounds.
