The Oakmont

Traveling from Colorado. Super welcoming, food was SO GOOD. J was our server and he was awesome. Recommend. People brought their dogs there, the atmosphere was comfortable. We had our 10 month old as well and she loved walking around the grass. Love this place. Oh and we had the mezcal fashioned and the old fashioned and it was perfect.

Our 9 month yr old loved it so I guess we did too. 😉 The atmosphere was low light cigar lounge vibes & bar looked awesome w sports to watch. We started our tasteful journey with spinach and artichoke dip w bread and chips. Try not to eat it all before your food comes out, because we almost did! The food was delicious 🤤 we loved our Cajun Pasta 🍝 lots of good meats and seasoning was awesome. The burger and fries was our 9 month year olds first kids meal.. we almost teared up 🥲 lol but lil mini loved it ! I had to take some fries muhaha. The grilled salmon tasted out of this world. Cooked perfectly & taste was Michelin star status. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Family loved it.

We stopped by at The Oakmont from our most beautiful trip to the Grand Canyon for lunch. Service was very friendly, atmosphere was very nice, and the food was very good, i.e. it was of high quality, good portions and reasonably priced. We had the green stew chili, the smoked brisket skins, the soup of the moment (it was a cup (and you can also order a bowl) of tomato basil soup… very tasty!), and the Smoked House Burger (very juicy and big). We also had beer (Stout from the tap), and two cocktails. For desert, we had the salted caramel cheese cake which fed the four of the five of us! The Manhattan was really good and well priced. We’ll be back!

We went to Oakmont in Flagstaff for a late dinner with my wife and friends. Overall, it was a mixed experience. The drinks were OK. Nothing bad, just nothing particularly memorable. The service, however, was great. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did a really solid job throughout the night. The asparagus fries were amazing, they definitely a stood. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were also very good and clearly prepared well. Unfortunately, the prime rib was the worst I’ve ever had. It was extremely chewy, completely tasteless, and honestly felt like I was eating rubber. Visually, it didn’t look appealing either. I’m prior military and not someone who likes to complain or send food back, so I did my best to power through it — but I just couldn’t finish it. I ended up asking for a to-go box for the prime rib. Despite the issue with the entrée, I still left a 20% tip because the service itself was great. Our server did an excellent job, and I didn’t feel it was fair for him to be affected by a kitchen issue that was outside of his control. I’d consider coming back for appetizers and to try something different, but I would definitely skip the prime rib.

It was a great experience from start to finish. We had a great server in Briggs! He was very energetic and helpful with the selections in the menu being it was our first time visiting from Phoenix. Highly recommend!

Sierra was an amazing sever. She was fast, SO FRIENDLY, and made our experience 10/10. She is so funny, makes you feel welcomed and just all around gives the best table service. Alysia, the manager is also everything you would want to see in a manger. From watcher her roll silverware, bus tables all while making sure tables were enjoying their meal. This was our first time in, and will most certainly not be our last

Visiting in town and found this spot as we were looking for a dog friendly outdoor location. They were very friendly with dogs, bringing us a bowl of water right off the bat. Multiple other people with dogs. Service was outstanding. Good was great also. See photos of food items.

I want to love this place. The food is generally good. Tee time happy hour is great. The service lacks for me on a regular basis. I do not like to review local restaurant (as a 20 yr local) low but this is was a few experiences deep. With a 8% service fee and I got to get my drinks at the bar for the last 2 hrs I was there, I am disappointed in this ongoing issue. It was not that it was short staffed for the bartenders were great but it fell short by a lot. Here is our table after 2 hrs of closing our server for he was being sent home. I love local, support local and want to rally behind local establishments. I will happily update my review if my experience changes in the future.

Walked in and was sat immediately. They have a large patio outside with a wide range of seating in and out. The servers are kind and offer great suggestions. If you sit on the patio there are a ton of lights, shade umbrellas, and heaters for when it gets colder out. All the food and drinks I've tried have been satisfying. My group has loved the asparagus fries, nachos, and salads. We've also tried a few other things and desserts and have always left happy.

We recently stayed in Flagstaff for two nights and had dinner here both times. The blackened salmon was amazing and so was the peppercorn steak. I had my two year old granddaughter and she had chicken fingers with quality chicken cuts, milk and a fresh fruit cup. The best part was the service, however. Bella was our server and was very attentive to us and the baby. She talked about Bella for two days afterwards and says she misses her! Prices were also good. This is a solid five stars for sure.

The atmosphere was great, our server Claire was the best part, she was wonderful and attentive, if it were up to me she would never leave this restaurant and run the whole operation!

I can't say enough about our experience here! The manager, Rainen, was incredible. He found us a prime spot table in the gorgeous patio. Our server, Jay, was on top of it. His recommendations were spot on. The chicken Sonoma was out of this world! My hubby said the prime rib was outstanding. We will definitely make an effort to get back here!!!

Oakmont is kind of a hit or miss for me. They have dishes like the green chilie stew that I enjoy. Then there are dishes like the braised short rib I had the other day which are disappointing. Would've been nice if all the fat wasn't trimmed off because the short rib was on the dry side. Braised short rib is usually one of my favorite things to eat and this came up short. The service is usually good and hopefully you're lucky enough to get seated with a view of the golf course. Oh yeah, they tack on a "flagstaff service fee" to your bill to make up for the increased minimum wage in town.

We stopped by to check out the golf course and we decided to stay for lunch. We were not disappointed. The hostess was very friendly and sat us down promptly. Our server was the lovely Bella and she did an amazing job of answering our menu questions and taking our order. My wife and I shared the turkey sandwich which was deeeelicious. The cole slaw was just the way I like it and we also had the baked brie. Order the baked brie. Wow! We're from out of town getting out of the Havasu heat the Oakmont was a pleasant surprise. We'll be back.

Claire was an amazing waitress. She really made our dinner wonderful! The outdoor patio was so nice!

Very nice atmosphere and they make good drinks. Do not like the 5% junk fee though. It is on a Golf Course so maybe that is why?

The service was ok, but we waited for at least 30 minutes for our food. When we finally got it, the eggs Benedict and potatoes were cold. I should have said something but I didn't want to wait for them to do it over. My English muffin was hard, I needed a steak knife to cut it and the ham was dry and hard. The eggs were cooked perfectly, too bad they were cold. It was my husband's birthday and I wanted him to have a nice breakfast. Very sad it didn't work out that way.

We come here often and I normally get the bison burger which is the best burger in Flagstaff! Today we tried a few small plates and I can't recommend the smoked trout dip and green chili stew enough! The smoked trout dip was super fresh with huge chunks of trout that you can tell is super fresh! The green chili stew is the best southwest of Colorado and New Mexico!

Fantastic service. We were lucky they had room on the patio. We enjoyed the beautiful golf course and Mountain Views. They have recently renovated and it looks stunning. The menu has a great variety and I personally recommend the bottomless mimosas! The food came fast and everything was delicious. The patio is dog friendly and it is a great setting for families with children as they can play on the grass .

We were visiting from out of town and had an early dinner at the Oakmont. The views were lovely, the food was super delicious, and our server, Briggs, was beyond fantastic! I have to say it was one of the most delightful dining experiences we've had in a long time and Briggs had a lot to do with that. He was really amazing! If we were local, we'd be regulars. We will definitely drive straight there next time we are in Flagstaff.

Absolutely love everything about this restaurant. The view is amazing. Food is good and the service is phenomenal. We absolutely love Zoe. She is so personable and so amazing and always makes sure we are taken care of! If we can sit in her section, we are so lucky! Definitely ask for her you won't be sorry!

Great place to hang outside and enjoy the cool air. Good food and friendly service. Sometimes a little slow because they get very busy. On my last visit I had the crab ravioli - very good flavor and just a little spicy.

Great view! Our friends with twin's the same age as our daughter, recommended this restaurant to us. Being able to sit and look out at the golf course was really neat for our family! Seems like it's a cool night hangout spot also - the bar was starting to pick up by the time we left our early dinner (before 6pm ). They have kids coloring menus for anyone wondering. The food was delicious! I got their French Onion Soup that was so fancy and so good! And their Grilled Cheese which was huge and hit the spot! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the service - although very friendly - tapered off at the end and left us waiting. I wanted to order a dessert but it ended up taking our waiter so long to check on us, it was getting too late for our daughter. We actually had to ask another server to find ours for us so we could pay.

The Oakmont is one of my favorite spots in Flagstaff. The food is always top-notch, and the staff makes you feel right at home. I love the laid-back vibe and the view of the golf course and the mountains--it's the kind of place I keep coming back to, whether it's for a casual lunch or a relaxing evening out. A big shoutout to our server Jason--he was fantastic. Super personable, fun to chat with, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing. He made the whole experience even better!

Food was ok service was good. Read happy hour deal closely and order accordingly. Tried the pork nachos..ok just not spot on.. ambiance was golf club pub .

Can't stress how much we fell in love with this restaurant when we were visiting Flagstaff. Not only does this place have beautiful golf course views, but the food here was simply incredible. So what should you order? One of everything if you can afford it! Honestly my favorites were the Ceviche appetizer and the Chicken Sonoma entree, but we were a large group that likes to share food so every time a different app or entree was passed around, no one had any complaints. The food is just that good! I also have to comment on how much I loved the ambiance in this restaurant. We were visiting in November and they still had the most beautiful fall decor up which made the whole restaurant feel warm and cozy. Will definitely be back the next time we are in Flagstaff!

Awesome service from J!!! We had a huge party of 16 and he took the best care of us. Everything was delicious and the view of the golf course was wonderful. But truly the best part was our waiter J. Thank you J.

We had a great server and a lovely view on the patio. Because it was getting late and chilly they brought over a heater. The food here would probably satisfy many, but had generally too many items I would have to have removed. I settled for the fish and chips. The fish was flaky but the breading was under seasoned the fries were just okay.

Great food with even better atmosphere. I ordered the nachos and frozen Paloma. Our servers were extremely friendly and helpful with our large party. Our food and drinks came out quickly and we really enjoyed our experience.

The Oakmont is a fun spot to enjoy the patio and is also good for team events because they have a big side room. We went for happy hour and I had the Conejo Luna, which was actually pretty disappointing. The Brussels sprouts were amazing though! Some of the best I've had lately. The downside of the patio is that there can be a lot of flies so be mindful of that as it can ruin the vibe

We were skeptical of a restaurant in the clubhouse of a country club. We were very pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the food was very good, the layout of the restaurant was modern and well lit and there were a bunch of TVs showing March Madness. We would definitely come back here next time we are in town.

Walked in and immediately got sat. Our server was Tristan and he was so nice and gave the best recommendations. I got the Cajun pasta and it was so good. I definitely recommend this restaurant because the food was amazing and the overall atmosphere of this restaurant was so fun and positive. 5 Stars!!!

First time in Flagstaff with my girls and was recommended to try out Oakmont. Not disappointed at all! The Cajun pasta was great and our server Haden was amazing! Will definitely be coming back if I have time.

The chicken sandwich was so horrible i could barely take a bite, but i soldiered on and continued eating. I then realized that there was some kind of onion jam not listed on the ingredients. I proceeded to scrape it off and replace it with ketchup. I took a few more bites then gave up completely. I threw it all away and was done. Fast forward an hour or two, I am throwing up so much it was insane. 0/10 will never eat here again.

The service was amazing. Frankie was awesome. So attentive to us and provided us with some great recommendations on food. I'm definitely coming back! The food was also delicious. The views at sunset and live music topped off our night on our last night of vacation. Perfect way to end the trip. I always appreciate great service and atmosphere.

We took a flyer on this one and it was a winner! We had the bison burger with jalapeño and other delicious ingredients and it was just amazing! The green pork chili was also very good! Very clean and chill, relaxing environment, and the customer service was top-notch! Definitely a Flagstaff Fav!

Everything about the OakMont is fantastic. The entire place has excellent energy. The staff is always friendly and lighthearted. The grilled cheese with braised short rib was DELICIOUS! Everyone at the table was jealous they didn't order it. We hit up the OakMont just about every time we are visiting Flagstaff.

Came here in the evening when it was dark out and couldn't see the golf course view. The outdoor seating area is gorgeous, open, and spacious. We sat at one of the fire pits outside and loved it, only thing is keep your fire a little low, otherwise your plastic kids cups will melt, so just be aware. I did give our server some feedback to have the management maybe add some solar spot lights shining up the trees on the golf course to provide a nice view of the golf course at night. We loved this place, will definitely come again. Also, maybe a bit more options in the food menu, but not a huge deal.

We had a very nice lunch on the patio, after a round of golf. Our waitperson, Evelyn, was great. She started by asking if we'd eaten there before. When we said "no," she asked if we wanted the quick description or the long one. We asked for the long one, and it changed both of our minds for our order. I had the Cajun Pasta, and my wife had the street tacos. I loved the pasta, but take care -- it is SPICY. I enjoyed the whole bowl, while needed an extra beer to cool my tongue. The Rock Shrimp street tacos were just as you'd like, in a nice soft blue corn tortilla, with nicely cooked and spiced (nowhere near the heat of the pasta, thank goodness), with plenty to eat. Next time in Flagstaff, we will come back, both for the golf and the food.

We've been coming here every time we visit from Phx for the last 4 years. Staff is always on point, friendly and accommodating. The FOOD is incredible. The green Chile stew and pazole are my favorite! The Uncle Sam and Cajun pasta always smack. Never disappoints and we are lifetime customers!

Came in last minute on a Saturday night. We were seated right away. The ambiance is nice and they have a nice sized bar. Our server Gabe was great. We ordered the soft pretzel (not pictured) but it was definitely our favorite dish on the table. We order the Korean Skirt Steak & the Umami burger with fries. The Korean Skirt Steak tasted okay. The meat was the best part of the meal but I didn't care for the noodles. The Umami Burger was an ordinary burger. Went down easy.

Delicious food and attentive staff! Frankie was our server and he was so great! Our table had a severe gluten allergy (celiac) and he made sure to check with the kitchen on all requested items. He definitely went above and beyond to make sure we had a safe meal. The Oakmont has a beautiful new patio and live music on Thursday. Highly recommend!

The new menu (summer of 2024) has some delicious additions and revisions. The asparagus fries can't be missed. The desserts are also memorable. The value lies in small plates, especially at happy hour, but the entire menu is solid. The cocktails have been elevated, and the view of Elden is unrivaled in Flag. Places for kids to run and play and the most welcoming patio around. Great after golf or for a game with inside. Server Briggs is partiality warm, charming, engaging, and authentic -- a great hang.

Short and simple, food was amazing... Don't miss the brussels sprouts or the green chili stew, service was great, thank you Briggs. Ambience was phenomenal beautiful view of golf course and Snow, fireplace in the background... Just go.

Had a wonderful lunch. The food was delicious. And the Frozee worth drinking. Plus our server Frankie was attentive but not overbearing. Delightful.

3 of us got the chicken sonoma and it was dry. I only ate half. Others enjoyed their pastas. Service after main course was slow.

Just had dinner at the Oakmont. The food was delicious! We had the Green Chili Stew, wings, and Cajun Pasta. All were outstanding with lots of flavor. We had the Lemon cake and Espresso crème brûlée for dessert and both were fantastic. Our server was Callan and he was excellent! Although the restaurant was busy he was attentive and extremely friendly. If every restaurant had servers like Callan they would all prosper! The hostess, Sierra, was very friendly and my wife made a real connection with her. She even took time to stop by our table a couple of times to see how we were enjoying our meal. The Oakmont is very fortunate to have staff like Callan and Sierra!

It's really difficult to give this place 3 stars because some aspects of this restaurant are amazing. The patio is beautiful and clean and the food and service are good. What destroys the whole experience is getting a check with an 8% surcharge that isn't disclosed anywhere. (At least not that I can find). This doesn't go to your server, it apparently makes up the difference between what is perceived to be competitive menu pricing and what the restaurant needs to make in profit. This is just a terrible business practice. A restaurant should not tell people what the prices are, then trick them into paying more without disclosing it. Unfortunately, even though I had 2 lunches and 2 dinners at this restaurant last week, the sneaky 8% surcharge leaves me feeling angry and resentful. I won't go back.

Great spot for brunch, brews, and catching the game! Our service was great. I had the club sandwich with fries.

Food was great, happy hour offerings are solid and the ambiance and patio with an amazing view closed the deal. We were 8 people with 4 kids and we had an amazing time while the children played in the grass. If you are looking for a place with amazing food and a place to hang out with the family you need to come here. The cherry on top was the service! Briggs took care of us like he was hosting a dinner party, he was kind, attentive, professional and warm. If you live in Flag, or are just having a holiday weekend don't miss this place !

Briggs is awesome. The food was delicious. The hostess hates her job. No too friendly and unorganized . Overall the food and Briggs made it nice. I will go back again.

What a nice setting having lunch on the patio with views of the golf course. Food tasty, although a little pricey but you pay for the nice location. Service good. We weren't rushed. Sit undercover as there's a good chance it might rain in the afternoon.
