"The Oasis Beer Garden of Menlo Park, a perennial Peninsula favorite decorated with Stanford University memorabilia and wood tables carved with 60 years of names, is closing. Its final day at 241 El Camino Real will be March 7, according to a note on the restaurant’s Facebook page, which blames the closure on failed lease negotiations with the building’s landlord." - Caleb Pershan

I had some down time between work on a Saturday night and was excited to visit anyplace with "beer garden" in the name. Lots of TVs playing local team football. Pretty decent food. Nice selection of craft beers. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with added pastrami! It came with potato chips but I didn't know and ordered fries. Glad I did, because the fries were awesome! Fun place with interesting decor, I liked the carving on the walls over many years. Visit ASAP!

Food is good (esp the fries), beer selection is good, everyone is friendly, and the beer garden is the best on a warm summer evening. I can always find the game I am interested in on one of the TVs. Food comes quickly even during busy times. Pizza is not the best but OK and its nice to have the option if I want burgers and the kids want pizza.

Good burgers, sandwiches and pizza - all at reasonable prices. The outside tables are awesome on a nice day. One problem we've encountered is that multiple order alert devices did not work (so we waited a lot longer than we should have).

This restaurant was a former stable which has converted into an upbeat down to earth restaurant. There is a particular warm atmosphere and you get the feeling that the studs in the boxes were sturdy indeed. The food is reasonably priced and the prepared with adequate care. The various TV are not synchronised and the echo creates a slightly haunted feeling.

A great dive bar! A pitcher of Anchor and Steam will only set you back $9.75. The burgers are pretty good, but nothing spectacular (they use Kraft singles or some other kind of processed cheese on the cheeseburgers). Outdoor seating area is perfect for watching football.

My officemates and I took a long lunch to catch the end of the Giant's opening game. The pizza was good, the drinks were good, but the best part was the experience out on the patio. There are a few large HD TVs with sound that is well-balanced, not too loud so we had to shout but not so quiet that we couldn't hear the game when we wanted to. The other patrons were also quite pleasant and engaged in both the game and socializing. Overall, a very pleasant, friendly experience. We'll be back for sure!

Pizza was OK, i prefer Round Table. Only 1 person taking orders for both walk in n phone orders so it was a long wait. ample parking, nice stocked bar, good place to watch a game, very casual, decent prices
