The Oasis On Lake Travis

I have to take a moment to recognize the incredible culinary experience we had on Valentine’s Day. To the chef and the entire kitchen team — what you created was nothing short of exceptional. The tuna tartare appetizer was absolute fire — fresh, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor from the very first bite. Then came the entrées, and somehow the experience kept getting better. The filet was cooked to perfection — tender, rich, and beautifully presented — while the fish dish was equally impressive, delicate yet full of flavor, and plated like a piece of art. Every course felt intentional, visually stunning, and thoughtfully designed. This wasn’t just dinner — it was a true dining experience that rivaled some of the best 5-star restaurants. Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had at Oasis. And while the food was clearly the star of the night, Emma did a wonderful job taking care of us. Her service was smooth, welcoming, and attentive, which made the evening flow effortlessly. If Oasis hosted experiences like this more often, I would be there weekly without hesitation. Huge compliments to the chef — the taste, the presentation, and the overall execution were unforgettable. Thank you for creating such an elevated and memorable night.

The place was good and welcoming. The decoration was simple and on point. It is at the top of a hill, and there is a river alongside it. From the top, the river and the surroundings look beautiful. Many visitors come just to enjoy the view and take pictures, which makes the place a bit crowded and busy. It’s a nice place to go with friends and close ones.

I came at the best time...4pm Thursday. Was king of the place with only a few other guests. Got to sit outside with an amazing panoramic view of the Lake. Everyone needs to experience this famous spot in Texas at least once. Well worth going out of your way. I was lucky enough to ride a sport bike all around those curvy roads before and after my meal at the oasis....loved it.

This place has such amazing potential! Beautiful location, intriguing decor, but the food was subpar. On the first cold night in Austin, though it was on the menu, they did not have hot cocoa which was the one thing my kids were looking forward to upon arrival. We ordered our food, and everyone’s food came out except my husband’s. It never arrived at the table. He had to ask the waitress, who was very kind, about his order. She then talked to the manager, who said he would take his meal off the bill, but it would be “right out and fresh” to go since the rest of us were already done with our food by then. When his food finally came out, my husband tried to eat some, but he said he did not like it. Also, we never got refills, even with just water. I heard so much about the beautiful view, but the lakeside seating was not available. They even had the doors locked so we were not even able to look at the evening view. Hoping for a better second visit sometime soon.

Oasis on Lake Travis is absolutely worth visiting for the views alone — truly some of the best in Austin. The atmosphere is a solid 5/5 with stunning sunset spots and plenty of photo-worthy angles everywhere you look. The food, however, is more of a 3/5. It’s decent but not something I’d come here specifically for. What surprised us is that the brewery next door actually has much better food and drink options, plus live music and a more fun vibe for hanging out. But they operate separately, so we had to order here first and then go there again, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, this place is perfect for the views and photos, while the brewery is definitely the better choice for actual food, drinks, and music. Both together made for a nice evening!

I honestly couldn’t have been more unimpressed. The extra star was for the view I know it has. We came in the evening (our mistake), so we couldn’t see a thing. It was cold out, so the balcony was not open. We were initially seated with of view of the storage area and a bunch of extra folded chairs, but asked to be moved. We were seated somewhere else and our order was taken quickly. The $20 chicken quesadilla tasted fine, the sour cream was a small portion and ran out quickly. My husband’s gumbo was mediocre, some of the rice was uncooked and it was very small portion. My BBQ bacon burger was a bit overcooked, the bacon was downright burnt, like crack your tooth burnt. The fries were actually very good! Service was fine, but just the bare minimum. The bathroom was pretty gross, needs updating and a good clean. The restaurant is in an amazing location, I’m sure the view during the day is gorgeous, and the actual building is really pretty, but it needs a serious upgrade to the food, service, and interior. Huge potential, but I was not impressed. Won’t be back unless they change it up.

This place has a unique atmosphere and a breathtaking view that makes it worth trying at least once. The paella is incredibly delicious, and the waiters are very professional and attentive. I only wish they could offer better service, like providing tortillas and salsa on the house while the food is being prepared, like many other Tex-Mex restaurants in the same price range. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here.

We had the fajitas for 2 and we came in the evening. It was nice because there’s a lot of seating both inside and outside. And even though we weren’t near the live music, we were still able to hear them perform. The decorations are so cute and inviting! It’s fun that the gift shop has locks that you can purchase to attach to the fence as a nice remembrance of your visit to the oasis. Our server was wonderful and the food came out almost immediately! It smelled delicious and was delicious while it was still hot!

If you're looking for breathtaking views, amazing ambiance, and a memorable dining experience, The Oasis on Lake Travis is the place to be! The view of the lake, especially at sunset, is absolutely stunning -- it's worth the visit for that alone. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxing, with multiple levels of outdoor seating that let you soak in the scenery. On my visit, there were vendors selling beautiful jewelry, which added a unique touch to the whole experience. The food was ok, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Whether you're enjoying a casual meal or celebrating something special, The Oasis creates an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it!

WHY ME? Actually I went to The Oasis knowing full well not to expect a great dining experience. I was here to show an out of town friend the view. I warned them that the food would be 3 starts at best. Starting off they were not busy when we arrived at 4pm on a Friday night, so when I asked for a great view of the lake I did not expect them to put baby in the corner. The literally walked us to the end of the deck (not even a high one) and squeezed us past a table to stuff my party of 2 into a wedge-like corner. I protested and was moved to a more suitable table 2 tables over. Person waiting on our table could not speak any English. When I asked for a side of jalapenos with my Grande Quesadilla, she replied with "it comes with pico de gallo". I said, yes I would like the pico and would also like to order a side of jalapenos. She eventually understood. My friend ordered the Nachos from the appetizer section, $14 for a tiny order. I ordered the Grande Quesadilla $16 and was presented with 1/2 a burrito size tortilla folded over. Not sure how that counts for Grande, but would not matter because it was undercooked and topped with large quantities of smoked paprika on top. I presume this was for color, with coordinated with the miniscule amount of whole cilantro leaves hap-hazzardly tossed on top. The menu also mentioned the cheese inside was blended. If so, it was blended with american and cheese from a can.

My coworker was itching to revisit this place. I had heard that you go to The Oasis for the views and not necessarily the food. We decided to visit for lunch since we had the time. It was a late lunch for us, so there weren't many patrons there when we got there. We chose to sit outside, even though it was a bit chilly out. However, the Sun was shining bright so it wasn't too bad. Everyone was right - the views are awesome. It almost seems like you're NOT in Texas. It has vibes of when I visited Italy, even though the food was Tex-Mex. I ordered a simple lunch of soup and a chicken wrap. The soup was a chicken tortilla. It wasn't that bad. My wrap was pretty tasty but I've had better. Like I mentioned, people go for the views. What I found interesting was the amount of "love" locks all over the restaurant. It was an epic amount!! There are locks left behind by "lovers/friends" on railings and wall decor in the outside courtyard and most definitely on the patio. We sat on the main level. The higher levels were closed but I could imagine that there were plenty of locks up there too. This is definitely a place to come to if you want all the feels of being out of the country. I just may visit again when I'm in the area.

Common knowledge says that you go to the oasis for the views not for the food. I have found that to be the case in the past, but when a group I'm a member of had their lunch there I went today. On this cold windy day, the decks were closed so we were seated inside, which was a first for me. I've always been on the decks before paying more attention to the lake than the food, which is usually a good bet. But today I found the interior pleasant and warm, and we were seated at a big round table, which was very nice--once we moved this huge ugly thing in the middle of the table that prevented us from seeing each other. The most pleasant surprise was that I ordered a Festival Bowl-- basically a taco salad in one of those big fried bowls, and it was good. The fajita chicken was not the freshest or the best, but it was edible, and the other components, including the fried tortilla shell, were actually very tasty. But who can quibble about the food when you've got that view of a deep blue sky, a super low lake Travis, and all the weird shit artwork sculpture strange things they have around? I had fun and a good lunch.

While in Austin, I took a drive here to get out of the city for a bit and see the sunset in a gorgeous place. I thought this place would be a nice tourist destination...and it was not. Plenty of parking was available, but most of the stores were closed, except for the gift shop. The OASIS was very old and when I checked Yelp reviews when I got there, there were a lot of complaints about the food. With that in mind, I ordered the chips, queso and salsa to test the waters; they were cheap and not good. On the plus side, they seated me in a spot with the perfect sunset view. But as time moved toward people crowded around my table to take photos. The view of the sunset was very beautiful. After a few of my own selfies and photos, I let them and took photos for people. However, I ended the experience not thinking it was worth the drive or ordering any more food.

As a tourist visiting the area, I thought the lake view was stunning at this restaurant. It overlooks Lake Travis and 100% recommend outside seating. We had a cocktail each that were nice to have while chatting and enjoying the scenery and some nachos to share. There's a couple other restaurants and bars in the same location. There's an accessible parking lot out front. Service was adequate no complaints. I recommend to come here with your friends, families and dates for a good time.

I am giving this four stars instead of five only because of how disorganized they were with getting us a table. We had a party of seven and they walked us to one side of the restaurant (very long restaurant) to seat us and when we got to the table it very clearly could not fit seven people. So we asked for one that would fit our party. We were guided to a different table that would fit our group only to find out a few minutes later it wasn't available for seating (weird). Then we were taken to the other side of the restaurant upon which we were told by the hostess "oh the table they said was available is only a two-top." And then they finally cleaned off a table that would fit us and we sat down to eat after walking around the restaurant and waiting in the middle of tables for a while. But after that everything was great! Very good, yet simple food and the cocktails were top notch. Our server was nice but also a little sassy, which was a lot of fun! I recommend the pomegranate margarita and Hawaiian burger to eat. Burger was cooked perfectly for medium rare, which restaurants often get wrong.

You should come here. This is an incredibly large restaurant overlooking Lake Travis. The vastness of the property alone is a site to see. I don't think you're really coming for quality food, but we loved our loaded fries and nachos, if you're looking for fine dining - this isn't it, but if you're looking for a fun eclectic vibe, beautiful views, decent bar food and drinks - this is your place. We loved our sunset bar food at the oasis and are so glad we weren't detoured by the low Yelp rating. For tourists, this place is a must see!

This place has an extraordinary view of Lake Travis. This is a Tex-Mex restaurant and has a variety to be served for us, plus it's fondly known as the Sunset Capital of Texas. The flan is amazing on their menu. The food is tasty and authentic. This place is amazing during sunset. Sometimes the queue is longer, so plan accordingly, especially during weekend lunch. The service is good, but can be better and there are both outdoor and indoor seating. Prices are a little above the average.

We recently attended a small wedding reception in the top floor event space at the Oasis. While we cannot comment on "dining in the restaurant"," the food served buffet-style was pretty darn good. The bar service/drinks were great, decent pours, very attentive staff. The food served included chips/salsa/queso and a veggie/fruit/cheese/charcuterie tray. The queso and salsa were some of the best we've had in ATX. The only miss was the stale pretzels on the tray. Otherwise ,great appetizers. The main course was a fajita buffet, including grilled pork, beef and chicken. Sides included Mexican-style rice, tortillas, beans, sour cream, guacamole, more chips, etc. All the meats were seasoned well, served piping hot. The guacamole was great... we wished they'd have put out more queso out for the entree! LOL All in all, a very good experience. The space was comfortable, great view of the lake and the lower decks of the Oasis! The only issue was the confusion in finding the right elevator to get to the upstairs. It took 6 employees to get us there! LOL

Great views, but terrible food. This place honestly has so much potential since they have so much traffic rolling in, but the servers and managers seemed like they were so stressed out half the time, and the food was very mediocre. You are paying for the views for sure. Honestly, I would just grab some food in the way there, and have some drinks to enjoy the view

Had anticipation to explore this place, but it was a dump, sadly. There was only one bar that was open. At first, thought it was because we were there on a weekday, but most of the stores were closed down for good. The view of the lake was alright, but not worth the trip to the Oasis.

It was a little walk to get to the host stand but they were very nice. All the staff we crossed were nice. Now for the food.. The salmon plate lack seasoning but the presentation was nice. Nothing had seasoning. The enchiladas were okay but nothing to rave about. The cheesecake was good but it was a loose consistency. The tres leches was toooo wet. Because of the texture and the liquid that rush my taste buds I couldn't focus on the actual taste. It wasn't my favorite. The drinks from the bar were the BEST thing that hit the table. The atmosphere was great. Views were breathtaking. Very relaxing. Will return for the drinks and atmosphere.

My wife and I used to come here when we were dating back in the early 2000s, before the place caught on fire. Back then, it was quaint, quiet, and woodsy, with lots of charming statues. Coming back now with kids and nephews, it's like stepping into a completely different world. The place has transformed from a cozy sailboat into the Titanic--it's absolutely colossal, and they've even added a brewery. The view is stunning and definitely the main attraction here. As for the food, I'd recommend sticking to the burgers and onion rings--they're amazing. The fries were just okay, and the fajitas were disappointing, but the jalapeño poppers were a highlight. If you're looking for a great atmosphere with solid comfort food and incredible scenery, this place is worth a visit!

Food: meh. The chicken strips tasted like they came from walmart. The enchilada plate was underwhelming. The Queso and chips were good. My Arnold Palmer was watery. Service: Seth was a very good server. Ambiance: we had a great table and a beautiful view of lake travis on a sunny day. Lesson learned: come for the views. Have some Queso and chips and maybe a beer served in the bottle. That might be okay.

Honestly, you come here for the views not the food. I ordered the Lakeside Burger. It was just ok tbh. It lacked flavor. Felt like it came from a frozen Patty. The fries were just ok as well, really no seasoning. Parking: They do have a lot and a garage. Beer: They have a good selection of beer. Next time I come, I will be here for drinks only. Menu at The OASIS offers a great selection of Tex-Mex, seafood, and American-style dishes, all decent dishes but the main event is definitely the beautiful scenery.

This place is an absolute dream place. It is gorgeous on the lake with the most beautiful decor and garden. We went at night with no reservations but we had no problem because the place is huge and maybe more popular in the day time due to its views. However we were seated immediately. We chose to sit outside where they were playing live music for an up charge of $5. It was not an issue. However, I did not give it a full 5 stars because the food did not live up to the beauty of the place. The menu was pretty limited and nothing we had was anything great tasting. However, the fajitas are very popular, i believe but none of us had that so maybe that was the issue. It's definitely a place you must visit regardless.

This location is a site to enjoy a great patio meal with a view. Very eclectic look along with a shop and other picture worthy shots. However, we were there for more than just a view off the lake. Seating was a little odd, we had to ask to be seated in a better location and the 2nd area was wedged between 2 large families. It really did not make sense at all. The menu looks nice in selection, but way overpriced for the quality. We ordered the following and both had potential but were very bland. Nachos $25.79 Choice of Fajita Chicken or Fajita Beef Served with refried beans and topped with seasoned ground beef, jalapeños, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. ---I chose the fajita beef and it was ground beef not beef fajita as mentioned on the menu. Due to them using the ground beef it was layered on top of the chips, and it was so greasy made the tortilla chips soggy within minutes of being provided Vegetarian Stuffed Poblano $25.99 Sweet potato corn hash stuffed in a poblano topped with mixed cheese, toasted cumin creme and salsa rojas. ---This was okay, as mentioned another saucy meal but no flavor whatsoever. Beers were reasonable priced and cold which was perfect the hottest weekend we had while visiting Austin.

A friend took be to The Oasis while hanging out in Austin. The location makes it a great experience due to the views of the Lake and surrounding areas. If you're not into scenery and looking for the best food, this is not the place to come. It IS a tourist "thirst trap", and there's nothing wrong with that as long as you know what to expect. The food is just regular, nothing out of the ordinary, but the scenery is beautiful, with a lot of photo ops. In addition to the view and the food, we had great service. I cannot remember the waitresses name but she had recently relocated to Austin.

This spot was a favorite from my Austin days so great to visit after a few years. We visited on a Friday around noon. It was hot so plenty of seating available outside. Surprisingly, wasn't bad in the shade with fans throughout. We came mostly for the view and it was beautiful given the clear day. Ordered Chicken Nachos. Huge portion and great for sharing-we enjoyed it. The Perfect Margarita was tasty and went nicely with the view. Service was ok. Could've been more attentive. Eclectic interior with a souvenir shop. Take a seat and make a wish in the "Wishing Chair" close to the entrance. Must stop when in Austin for a relaxing vibe with breathtaking Sunsets and views of Lake Travis.

Like many others said, the view is the best part of this restaurant and they know it. I honestly came here mainly for the views and to take a tour around the area. But let's talk about the food first. My burger wasn't horrible but it also wasn't the best and for the price we paid, it was horrific. I want to say it was around $17. My Husband got the brisket plate which was even more expensive. It was OK but like I said before, very overpriced... The views on the other hand? Spectacular. The overall layout of the restaurant and the exteriors are so beautiful and great for taking photos. The view of the lake are also breathtaking. Would have been willing to bump this up to four stars have the food not been so expensive .

It's all about the sunset with a marg. Nostalgia. Remember coming here before the fire? The food was soooo bad. At least one thing in ATX will NEVER change! 10 star view. 4 star cocktails. 2.5 star service. Food doesn't even get half a star. It's all about the sunset with a marg.

If you want dinner with the best sunset view this is the place. We went in a pretty humid evening for dinner here and chose to sit on the patio. Patio has fans with mist spraying around. So easier to sit there. Else they have beautiful indoor dining too. Food is average in taste and decency in portions. I feel that this place is more about location than 5-star menu. They do have a good cocktail menu and if you order from their specials you get to keep the glasses as souvenirs.

Paella and chicken quesadillas were great for the peaceful ambiance. Walked in- but not long wait, we beat the crowd! Saturday around 2-3pm was chill. Service was great! Mango margarita and the pinacolada was excellent. The vibe was beautiful! Perfect weather for this quaint place!

Man it's been a minute since I've been here. This place is massive with deck upon deck upon deck of lakeside view seating. I hate to sound like ole granny right now - but I remember coming here when it was just a simple deck outside lol. Our waitress was AMAZING, I wish I could remember her name to give her a shout out. She was on it with our service and extra great with the kiddos. Food was okay/good.... I feel the price is paying more for the place and lake experience vs the quality and uniqueness of the food itself. If you have the time to drive out here and are visiting from out of town, I can see the draw to coming and trying it out. It's for sure a beautiful view.

Came here for a wedding event, so my experience may not be super reflective for the casual goer. There's a parking structure nearby and what seems like some closed businesses within the same complex, so I feel like you're either there for the lake or this restaurant as there wasn't that much else, at least from a first glance. The event took place on the 3rd floor and the inside was decently spacious. Wooden floors, interesting stage area with a raised section for what looks like 2 seats (nobody used this space). Acoustics bounce around here so already loud music was made super loud. The open bar moved quickly and the bartenders were friendly enough. Restrooms similar to any public restroom. Appetizers were charcuterie board items, fruit, and crab cake balls. Not bad. The dinner was an open BBQ buffet, which was alright. Only had BBQ sauce and the meat was unfortunately quite dry for some cuts. Potato salad was good though. At sunset you think that the view would be lovely but the wedding vows were exchanged in direct sunlight being transmitted into your eyes, it might have been nice to have some form of thin curtain shade to have blocked that out. Unless it's through your phone screen it's impossible to look towards the lake at that supposedly memorable hour without contracting cataracts. Lake is nice, overall this was just alright.

First time visit and I have to start by saying OMG the view is breathtaking! I love that just about every area is this restaurant is a photo opportunity. There's a designated space where you can walk out on a deck space that provides an amazing view for picture taking. There's also a love lock showcased along the eating area that's very interesting and adds as a conversation starter. Our waiter's name was Josh and provided excellent service! He was very friendly and personable. I order a chicken fajita salad and the portion was perfect. Definitely more food than I expected. There's gift shops and other areas outside the restaurant that give eye appeal esthetics for an overall amazing experience.

The hostess greeted us warmly and ensured we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The service was impeccable, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. And oh, the view! It truly took my breath away and made the visit worthwhile. However, I must say that the food, drinks, and desserts were a bit disappointing. The flavors and quality didn't quite meet my expectations. While the culinary offerings may not have been the highlight of my visit, the outstanding service and stunning view certainly made up for it.

Super awesome vibes!!! The sunset is so pretty and I loved exploring the gift shop. The view was beautiful. However, the food was mediocre at best, and with the prices being that high, I expected higher quality food. The Mexican rice was ok, a bit dry in our opinion. Service was ok, forgot our salsa a couple times. The table was not cleaned well (there were many crevices on the table that were not cleaned). It's worth coming here to see the sunset imo, but not the food. But I guess the sunset is the main selling point anyways.

A must visit for anyone traveling to Austin. The Tex-Mex and drinks are mid tier, but this is a great spot for a photo and memories. The sunset views are gorgeous and if you are lucky you will get to ring their sunset bell. Great service and quick timing on the food and drinks.

So surprised by the amount of negative reviews! I had a great experience and the pork fajitas were the best I've ever had. Our waiter was attentive and the service was quick. We came at around 2 p.m. on a Saturday and I think that was a good time since it wasn't crowded. The view was great. I'll come back during a colder season to sit outside and really enjoy the view. Everyone enjoyed their food & I particularly loved mine! Only thing that was gross was the tap water. Can't wait to go back for the fajitas!

Went there for sunset but didn't get to see one because of clouds. Good option for alcoholic drinks but for non alcoholic- I didn't have a good experience. For appetizers - limited options - chips, salsa and guac is ok and good to share among 4. I got blood Mary at first and it was horrible. Felt like a lot of tomatoes but even tomato juice is better than this. So I returned that and got a mango one but it was also like frozen mango with crushed ice in a cup, that's it. Good place to watch sunset and enjoy good company and weather.

Food was average as described by other reviews, not bad as Mexican food is has to mess up. Huge restaurant and every seat has a view of the lake. Service was a little slow, but I'm guessing low staffing for out of season. The sunset was worth the wait. Amazing, great pictures and ambience.

To be honest, I have no plans on eating at the oasis at all, but that's because I never have cared to other than the first time I ate there, and I didn't remember how it was. However, I do believe that if you're in the the area or remotely close, even that you need to come here just for the view alone. I've been coming to the oasis for many years and I always find my way there to have a great margarita and watch the amazing sunset on my trips to Austin. I believe it will be there for many more years to come due to the massive crowd it now has along with all the expanding it has done over the years. Back in the day I never saw it filled up. Now the place was so busy it made my head swim.

We tried this place for lunch recently and it was just ok. The space is massive. Tons of seating inside and on the patio. We were able to get a seat on the patio over looking the water which was about the only good thing about our experience. The service wasn't great. 5/6 people had something wrong with their food order. $20 for a burger and fries (paying for the view). You would think they could at least get the orders right. Come here for the views and a drink. Skip the food. The brewery is better.

AWFUL food and AWFUL margaritas but the view is still the view. Seated at a table with previous diners plates. Kid who seated us said "oh I don't know why they would put you at a table not cleaned" then walked off. After 10 minutes I had to go back to the hostess stand to ask it be cleared. The hostess did so with a dry rag. Nice! No one ever came to The Oasis for the food right? But, they had a few good years with the food- not anymore. It's awful. The fries had a hair in them, service was so sub par I didn't bother to say anything. Ask for ranch for my kids chicken, as server is handing it over I grab it because something is floating on the top- server says oh just a spec of something. Yep- something not meant to be there. WILD! NO DOUBT they reuse sauces people don't finish at tables, not a question in my mind. Better change things quick before the lake is nothing but dirt on the ground and there's no reason to come here anymore. If you're considering a marg, just know it's the bucket kind from Walmart.

Labor Day Weekend brings the crowd for an amazing sunset dinner on the patio!!! What's the chances to run into a friend from the same town! ;) Let's start by the long lines and getting on a wait list for a table! Make sure you check in to let them know you are definitely on the waitlist! Sometimes the person taking info can accidentally not save it. Thankfully, the girl who took out info remembered us... they so gladly seated us the exact hour we waited. It was worth the wait... everything went smoothly from there! Our waiter Toro seemed like he's been waiting tables, so he had amazing customer service! Chips and dinner came out in a timely manner! Food was delicious! Sunset was beautiful... the only downfall is the rusty shaky ceiling fans on the patio. Hope they get that secured! It was nerve wrecking to same the least.

The Beautiful views allow this place 4 stars. The service was great but the food and drinks were not. The nachos were dry and didn't have much flavor and our drinks tasted like margarita mix.

Frankly, the prices are ridiculous, especially considering the quality of the food. The quesadilla add-on meat was particularly overpriced. Who in their right mind would pay double the price for add ons? Furthermore, I encountered an unpleasant surprise when I received a napkin and utensil set that had mold or leftover food on them. This was a major hygiene issue and definitely not what I expected from a restaurant especially with the prices they have. However, amidst these disappointments, one shining aspect of my visit was the waitress. She was incredibly sweet and went out of her way to ensure my comfort. Her exceptional service was a highlight of an otherwise lackluster experience. As a restaurant, this was a major disappointment. Go for the view, but do yourself a favor and don't stick around for the food.

I've wanted to go to Oasis for as long as I can remember. We went during lunch on spring break so parking & getting a table was easy. The size of oasis completely blew my mind. I was not expecting it to be as large as it was. There's also a bunch of closed down restaurants/stores attached to it which was odd but hopefully they will fill up soon & be a lively place for tourist. Speaking of tourist, this is definitely a tourist trap. It's a beautiful building, with a beautiful view but you don't come here for the food. The service was amazing! We had a very kind server who checked on us regularly. We got frozen drinks & water to start. Mine was supposed to be like a dreamsicle. While it wasn't bad I wouldn't order it again and my mom loved her margarita. We then ordered queso & chips. It was good but pretty expensive. We weren't to hungry & based on the quality of the queso & the prices of the entrees we decided not to eat lunch at oasis. Overall I'm not sure it lived up to my expectations but it's one of my mom's favorite places. If your a tourist who want somewhere to lounge with a drink & snack with a beautiful view, knowing you're going to spend a lot of money this is your place.

This restaurant has so much potential! It's in a prime location, perched above Lake Travis, offering an unbeatable sunset view. Unfortunately, the stunning scenery is where the positives end. We visited on a Sunday afternoon at 2 PM, expecting it to be fairly quiet. However, as it's a popular tourist spot, there was a 20-minute wait. We passed the time by exploring, shopping, and snapping plenty of photos. When our turn finally came, we were seated on the patio with a breathtaking view of the lake--truly even more spectacular than I remembered from over 20 years ago! Sadly, the service was a letdown. Our server approached us with an air of irritation, as if we were a burden interrupting her day. There were no friendly greetings, just a curt "What can I get you to drink?" Her attitude remained frosty throughout our visit, making us feel unwelcome. After about 20 minutes, our food arrived--well, most of it. My dish was missing, and we had to remind them. Another 5 minutes later, my chicken enchilada finally appeared. This is a staple dish that rarely disappoints, but unfortunately, it was completely bland--absolutely no flavor. I couldn't tell if the cook was having an off day or if this was just their standard. If you decide to visit, do it for the view. But save your appetite--and your money--for a meal somewhere else.

It was closed when we came, but my friend said there are a lot of people who visit this place when it is open.

I feel sorry for anyone that spends any of their time or money at this dump. The food is garbage. Found a bullet casing on the floor in front of the hostess stand. Were put in a weird position to sit next to a table with an overweight person that made it impossible to even get the chair out from the table to sit. Was told it was a 45 minute wait and conveniently our table was ready at over an hour just missing the sunset which is the only saving grace this place could possibly have. Seriously don't waste your time. The water is down anyway so not really the lake view it once used to be. You'd think this place would up their game but they seem to only be open for idiots to come and do Instagram reels and get drunk.

Overall, I have to say I had a pleasant experience. I would probably come back if I were in Lake Travis area to bring friends/family who have not been before. I came right around opening at 11am on a cloudy, chilly Sunday. There were no lines, no crowds, so very easy to get a seat. Food Tempura shrimp: this was actually so good! The shrimp was huge, and all the shrimp and potatoes were crispy and hot. I appreciate that it came with a side salad Chips and salsa: unfortunately our waitress forgot about this and we didn't get it until our mains arrived and I asked about it, but I really liked the salsa. I was able to get a small tub of it to take home :D Boneless wings: we got this because they said they were out of the firecracker, but I feel like it's the same thing, but with a different sauce? Anyways, these were okay. Tasted like reheated frozen bites, but i still enjoyed them, and even more so a couple days later when reheated in the air fryer. Tiramisu cheesecake: two of my favorite desserts in one? Of course it'd be delicious! Drinks I got the perfect margarita, which was one of the cheapest cocktails haha. It was sweet and tasted like a typical margarita mix, but I definitely felt a little buzz. My mom just had a corona Service Overall I thought our server was nice. I can see how service might be a little slow, but there's always someone running by you so it's not to hard to flag someone down to get your server for you. When my server realized she forgot the chips, she was truly apologetic and admitted to her fault which I appreciated! I also loved that there was someone making balloon animals for tips lol I thought I saw that dogs were allowed, but it's actually only service dogs that are allowed, so we weren't able to bring our dog even for the outdoor seating :( Parking There's valet parking, but also plenty of parking for the little plaza. Ambience Definitely nice views of the lake! Be ready to take pics :)

What a letdown. Obviously a tourist trap inside of a very cool lakeside strip mall along with other restaurants/bars of sorts and a very few shops. I thought the only food items here that had decent flavor were the beans, rice and anything prepared with the carnitas protein. Careful what you order as the ground beef and shredded chicken were very much Tex-Mex and flavorless. We ordered the chips and flavorless guacamole that were interrupted by an empty-flavored queso that was recommended and brought out by our emotionless and machine-like server. Yes the view is nice and the restaurant large inside, but aside from those two things, this place is very much an overpriced tourist-laden flop. Dicks

Only if you want an amazing view that is a must see. Don't go for the food or the service - not good. But it's a Texas monument so must go to check it out.
