The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata

An exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel perfectly blends old-world charm with modern luxury. The ambiance is elegant, rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the staff is extremely polite and professional. The pool area and dining options are excellent, making the stay feel relaxing and premium. Ideal for a luxurious getaway or a special occasion.

Stayed at Peerless for Kolkata World 25k marathon. The start line is approx 600m from the hotel. Had a really good stay (though it was for 1 night only). Location is a strong point of the hotel. Walking distance to Park Street, Nehru Indoor Stadium, Eden Gardens etc. I dont know Kolkata that well so cannot comment on other key spots nearby. ||It takes about 45-60 mins for airport commute basis traffic. Room was spacious and had all the amenities. Food and service was also good. Window insulation was decent. It was able to cut out good amount of outside noise. ||Would definitely recommend Peerless.

The staff quality of the banquet is superb, they are too professional and humble. Last but not the least they are serving high quality food with amazing taste. Must recommended for office meetings and family time.|I want to thank and good luck all the staffs who were service us with a smiling face.

I stayed at The Peerless Inn on Christmas Eve (24th December), and overall it was a very enjoyable experience, especially given its excellent location right in the heart of Kolkata.||The hotel had a warm festive vibe with live music arranged in the evening, which added a nice Christmas touch. Initially, there was a small hiccup with the room category we had booked, but Mr. Raj from the reception handled the situation extremely well. He helped us upgrade to a Club Room with complete transparency by sharing room pictures and explaining the additional charges clearly. His professionalism, calm approach, and guest-first attitude truly stood out.||The room was clean, newly done, and well-prepared before handover. As a welcome gesture, Mr. Raj personally accompanied us and offered complimentary tea, which was a thoughtful touch.|One small area of improvement would be bed comfort—while the room itself was very good, the mattress could be slightly more comfortable if compared with brands like Taj or Oberoi. That said, cleanliness and upkeep were excellent.||The complimentary breakfast was well-organized, had a good spread, and the ambience was pleasant—especially impressive considering the Christmas crowd.||We did have dinner at Aheli at night, which didn’t quite meet expectations; however, I will share that feedback separately as it’s independent of the stay experience and I don’t want it to overshadow an otherwise good visit.||Overall, with its prime location, courteous staff, and improving infrastructure, Hotel Peerless Inn is a solid choice for anyone visiting Kolkata and wanting to stay centrally. With a few small refinements, it can become an even stronger option.|Special thanks again to Mr. Raj for making our stay smooth and comfortable.

The Oberoi Grand is a beautiful luxury hotel in the heart of the city. Great location, elegant rooms, excellent service, and a peaceful atmosphere. A perfect place for a comfortable and premium stay in Kolkata. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The property is very old and the rooms are not clean. Walking on the floor without slippers is not advisable. The air conditioning in the lobby is inconsistent—some areas are cool while others are warm. The washrooms are in poor condition. The reception staff are not polite and are unable to handle guests properly. However, the food quality is good and up to the mark.

Very good location. Some staff members are extremely helpful and polite. Very clean.||||The room for 3 just included a folding bed and not a proper bed. So that took up space in the room. Unlike a room built for 3 beds.||||One member on the staff was quite unprofessional. I had requested an early check-in which was subject to availability. When I arrived he asked me to wait for 30–40 mins. After about an hour, he said to wait for another 30–40 mins. After waiting for about 2 hours in total when I went to the reception again, I was told the room was ready earlier but this guy “forgot to inform me”.
