The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata

I had a wonderful stay at Peerless Hotel, Kolkata. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, making it very convenient for both business and leisure. Safety measures are well maintained, which gave me peace of mind throughout my stay. The staff were extremely polite, courteous, and always willing to help, which added to the overall comfort. The rooms were clean and well-kept. The only area for improvement is the dining menu, which felt somewhat limited, though the food served was fresh and tasty.

We stayed at The Peerless Inn, Kolkata for two nights. The overall experience was pleasant.The room and bathroom were excellent—clean, spacious, and comfortable. A special thanks to Ms. Neha at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful right from check-in and arranged our room very quickly.We are especially grateful to Mr. Somnath, his hospitality truly stood out. “Thank you” doesn’t feel enough to express our appreciation for his kindness and service.We also had the chance to try the Aaheli restaurant for authentic Bengali cuisine. Every dish was absolutely delicious. The restaurant manager, Mr. Sanjib, was very warm and made us feel truly welcome.The breakfast had a good variety and the food was delicious. However, the staff at the breakfast restaurant were not very polite and lacked a welcoming attitude or smiles, which slightly affected the morning experience.Overall, our stay was wonderful, except for the breakfast restaurant staff’s attitude. We would definitely recommend Peerless Inn for its great location, comfortable rooms, and exceptional hospitality from key members of the team.

The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata – A Classic Experience My stay at The Oberoi Grand was truly memorable. The hotel beautifully blends old-world charm with modern luxury. From the grand colonial architecture to the warm and professional service, everything felt top-class. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. The food at the restaurants was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet with so many fresh options. The staff are polite, always ready to help, and they really make you feel welcome. The central location is another big plus—perfect for exploring Kolkata. The pool area and greenery inside the property offer a peaceful escape from the busy city. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but worth it for the comfort, quality, and hospitality you receive.

My husband was staying at Peerless hotel Kolkata, while I am in Mauritius. As today is his birthday, I wanted to surprise him with a cake and a bouquet early in the morning, and I reached out for the hotel for help.|I must specially mention Ms Ospita, who went out of her way to assist me. Despite my request coming a day before, she arranged everything perfectly. The cake and bouquet were delivered to my husband right on time exactly as I wished.|Being far away, it was difficult for me to plan something special, but thanks to her warmth, professionalism and genuine care, the surprise was a success. I truly appreciate her support. It reflects the kind of personal touch and hospitality that makes The e Peerless hotel stand out.

Working in the hospitality industry is at the same time adventurous and very exhausting. However, I would like to thank the Sous Chef Hafizur RAHAMAN for his precious time and hospitality during my stay. As he prepared the best noodles ever which reminded me of my country. I am here from last 2 week on a business trip. House keeping for the room is excellent. Rooms are clean and quick response from house keeping any time in room.||Room keeping staff manoj is very professional and always polite and helpful.||I have extended my room 3 time in this week.

I loved staying at this hotel. I am writing this three years after I went, and this is still the benchmark that I define all hotels by in terms of character, quality, comfort and hospitality. This is one of the few hotels that I remember fondly and still feel good about having spent time there.

Surely one of the oldest properties of Kolkata. Elegance and Beauty still gives youa confidence to come back again and again.||Some aspects about the food area on the first floor needs immediate attention. There's a marble block in front of a huge mirror. It's slowly turning black. Hence either the marble block should be changed or there should be some other decorative materials in front of the mirror to cover the white marble.||Food and service and staff behaviour was is and would always remain fabulous.
