17 Best Hotels and Resorts in Asia 2026 According to Our Editors | Condé Nast Traveler

"Perched on the tip of South Mumbai, the 237-key Oberoi Mumbai overlooks the glittering lights of the curved bay that forms the Queen’s Necklace. The stark modernist building with its soaring atrium was among the first hotels built by legendary hotelier Biki Oberoi in 1986, setting new standards in design and service for luxury hospitality in India and becoming a defining part of the Mumbai skyline. In the four decades since, the property has remained a grand doyenne of hospitality, even as the city around it has churned and reshaped itself. Walk into the lobby and the first thing that greets you is an ever-smiling member of the staff. The changing colors of the sky and the ever-shifting sea are framed as the perfect artwork in the ocean-view suites, the residences, and at the Art Deco–inspired Eau Bar, one of the best sundowner spots in the city with views of the Arabian Sea." - CNT Editors

The Oberoi, Mumbai (Mumbai, India) 2 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Mumbai may surprise you — it's a forward-looking, cosmopolitan, international city, modern where New Delhi is historical; and its hotels reflect this fact. This is, after all, Bollywood, home to India's film and entertainment industries (as well as its financial center), legendary for its nightlife, and known around India as the “Manhattan of the East.”" - Tablet Hotels

We stayed here December 2025. Service was excellent and staff were professional. Location is good as its away from the city hence no noise and 'city smell'. There are no restaurants in the vicinity and nearest shopping malls are about 45 mins away. The hotel is situated on marine drive which gets very busy in the evenings by the locals. Breakfast was a la carte - good variety. Hotel restaurants were very expensive for simple dishes. The spa was basic with no facilities other than a gym-style steam room situated in the shower area which wasnt the cleanest. Nothing luxurious about the spa. Their treatments are over priced compared to other 5-star spas. My therapist was really good though. The rooms are serviced however we found our in-room dishes to be dirty and kettle wasnt working. In my opinion the rooms are not 5-star by international standards. Best to use bottled water provided for drinking and brushing teeth/rinsing.

The view from this hotel is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to such a stunning scenery made my stay truly memorable. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the windows offer a perfect panoramic view of the surroundings. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a great view!"

Hotel prides itself on customer service which it delivers on. Rooms are okay but not 5 star Cleaning was good but not great Location was good but a distance to most places in Mumbai and not much around that one can walk to. Prices at hotel restaurants are incredibly overpriced for quality/ value/ and taste. I would give meals at the hotel restaurant for lunch/dinner a 2/5 given the above Had better meals at other restaurants for 3rd of the price. Wouldn’t call it a 5 star family friendly experience. Worthy of 4 stars at most.

The Oberoi Mumbai in Nariman Point stands out far above typical 5-star hotels, embodying the exceptional standards of the Oberoi group. Upon check-in, we were delighted with a complimentary upgrade to a spacious, impeccably clean room that captured the hotel's timeless rustic charm with straightforward traditional switches, free from overwhelming modern gadgets and buttons, making everything intuitively easy to use. Dining experiences were a highlight across the board. We savored innovative Indian dishes at Ziya restaurant, which boasts stunning sea-facing views and masterful flavors. The staff's warmth and efficiency were extraordinary, when we requested a fruit basket before heading out and were running late, they literally sprinted out of the hotel to fetch and deliver it personally. In-room dining shone brightest during our family stay with our energetic 3.5-year-old—they tailored kids' meals with precision, accommodating every whim to keep our little one happy. The breakfast buffet was a feast in itself, offering an expansive spread of international and local favorites, from fluffy pancakes and fresh juices to authentic Indian staples, all presented with impeccable quality. Service throughout felt genuinely personalized, from the front desk to housekeeping, creating a seamless luxury escape in the heart of Mumbai. We can't wait to return—5/5 stars!

The stay was comfortable and breakfast was good. However, the dinner or lunch (Indian) is of bad quality. ||We had dinner for 2 days, the Rice was very hard, Dal makhani was full of Makhan without any taste, the Mix veg curry was very spicy and full of capsicum, green peas, tomato and carrot only without other vegetable. On 2nd night we explained to make the rice little soft, but it was hard like the previous day.||There is no provision for free evening snacks like Taj hotel.
