Husband and I were driving along the coast, when we decided that we were hungry. So, we stopped at It was cold in there. The air had quite a chill. As did the server. She didn't look at us or acknowledge us in any way when we walked in. We waited for a minute for her to finish what she was doing. I looked at the baked goods and they looked great. But not all of them were covered or in cases. Flies. You really don't want to see that on your baked goods. When the server was ready, she showed us to a table. When she came back to take our orders, we were greeted with "First, let me tell you, we don't have lobster or scallops." I really wanted lobster. And why present it that way. I like homeyness as much as the next person. But that was just rude. "Sorry to tell you but we are out of the lobsters and scallops." Casual, informative, and polite. We ordered. I don't know what Husband ordered. I know he liked it, but I don't know what "it" was. I ordered a cheeseburger. The menu said it came with fresh greens. And it does. It also comes with a bunch of other stuff. When she put it in front of me, I must have gotten quite the look on my face. The server noticed and asked what was wrong. I said I thought it only came with the local greens and nothing else. She asked if I would like it remade. I said I would. She went over the order with me again. And she came out and went over it with me again. And one more time. Not nicely. And I was starting to feel like I was personally responsible for all the evil in the world. When in fact, I am only in charge of 36.2% of it. It's an anti-trust thing. My new burger was brought out and it was yummy. But the server came back and check on me twice. I felt awkward. I went out to smoke a cigarette in the rain and just didn't go back in.
