I actually stopped by here a handful of times pre-COVID days when it used to be a lot more going on so far as live music and dancing is concerned. Good spot to stop by alone (or with a group) after a long work week and seeing as it was local to my area, this was one of my go-to spots that competed against Barbara's Brewery and the Lincoln Kitchen & Tap before COVID obliterated the both of them out of existence.
Now, post-COVID shutdowns with modified lifting of restrictions, it's my new go-to spot that's local to the area. The Airliner and that new EOLA lounge bar where it was formerly the 'Le Blanc' bar just isn't my cup of tea, despite them being relatively a closer walk to than the Office Bar & Grill.
The pricing of beer is similar to Barbara's and Lincoln Kitchen & Tap before they both closed down, namely between $7-12 for draft beers and $8-16 for well drinks and cocktails. They have bottle beers and, I believe, a limited selection of wine.
They also have bar food: fried chicken tenders, french fries with dip, onion rings with dip, and I believe I saw some burger options as well. Didn't really check the prices on those so you'll have to rely on the other Yelpers for that.
They have several TV's tuned into sports at the front of bar along with bar stools. They also have a few tables and chairs. The dance floor is gone now. They installed a fancy digital jukebox, which I don't recall them having pre-COVID (or maybe I just never noticed it in the first place).
Ambiance. It had a lounge feel to it. But we went on a Wednesday night so it was nice and quiet for our small group. There were 3 other small groups that were already there plus a couple of guys at the front of bar watching the game that night. For the most part, it was quiet but it got loud from time to time, especially as more people arrived later that night.
Parking. Street parking only. It's not too hard to find on any of local side streets but you may have to a walk a couple of blocks. Or, you can pay to park at the metered parking lot behind the Bank of America.
Service. Male bartender was friendly enough and regularly checked in on our table to see if we wanted more drinks or wanted to order food. They still take credit cards. Pre-COVID, they added $0.75 surcharge for every credit card transactions under $10. Not sure if that's still true today as I used cash this time around ever since I found out that they added this surcharge to credit/debit transactions from the pre-COVID days but it's worth bringing up before using plastic. Enough said.
All in all, I recommend it stopping by if you're a local and you used to either frequent Barbara's or the Lincoln Kitchen & Tap, though I hear that Barbara's supposedly opened up again under new ownership but only at a limited outdoor capacity. Or, if you happen to work nearby, it's also a good spot for a small to mid-sized group.
