Everyone is always super friendly and provides fast services. I also love the atmosphere it's very welcoming. I've been meaning to share this delicious salad, it was full of delicious nutrients, and had a kick to it. 😋😋

Google
its a great place to meet. excellent coffee/tea and treats. fast service. quiet inside, so you can easily meet friends or work appointments. interior wood and vibe is very relaxing.

Google
Nice coffee shop. Cozy spots to hangout but coffee was good but not great same with the chai. Coffee was just kind of a boring medium roast no real interesting beans from what I could tell. The lemon poppy seed muffin was oddly savory, maybe just not my thing. Sandwiches were pretty good tho. Still one of the better shops in the area!

Google
Always loved this place, used to come here a lot pre COVID but moved further away in 2020. Revisited for a business meeting this past week and it's still just a great place all around, even some familiar faces amongst the great people that run it. Highly recommend, whether your just stopping in for a coffee, or work remote and need to get out of the house for an hour or two.

Google
I really like the vibe of this place and it’s usually less busy than Atomic and the coffee is terrific! The food is great too. It’s a good spot to chill at but can get busy at the pick up area.

Google
Just tried for the first time and will definitely be back! Fair prices for breakfast sandwiches and solid coffee. Plenty of seating and friendly staff. Love the option to pick a charity for donations as well.

Google
We ordered two iced lattes and the server was nice and told us the best coffee on the menu was the pistachio vanilla iced lattes. The large lattes came under $11.00 and I just thought they were ok. The interior of the coffee shop had a cool vibe, but the flavour of the coffee didn’t really come through to me.

Google
Very cozy, homey, modern, inspiring, bright and clean cafe! With health options from drinks to snacks. Their peanut butter smoothie bowl is a must try. They also have amazing flavors of green and white tea. Very friendly staff as well. Parking structure within walking distance.

Yelp
A nice coffee shop with plenty of workspace. They have tables that can accommodate a bigger group as well. We tried their cappuccino, which is good. I wish the milk alternative surcharge were cheaper than a dollar. The order came out quickly and we enjoyed our time here.

Yelp
Big area for indoor seating. Delicious pistachio latte with fast, kind service. Definitely will return and becoming one of my favorites in downtown Royal Oak.

Yelp
Great place to grab a coffee and get some work done. They even give a portion of your total to a charity that you get to pick. Love it!

Yelp
Spent a few hours here co-working with a friend to start the year. Great light from the wall of windows and right on the corner so the space is bright and easy to find. However if you sit by the windows in winter, you will freeze. We reserved a table ahead of time online but it didn't seem like it was necessary as many people came and went throughout the time I was there with no reservation. The majority of people here are remote working or having meetings. I had a smoothie and bagel with avocado on the side during my visit, they were both okay. Drinks were your typical cafe menu. It would be nice to see a vegan sandwich option on the food menu. Some menu items could be modified to be vegan but then you're removing most of the toppings or modifying it so much it doesn't seem worth it. Staff wasn't over friendly but nice, the space was clean aside from the bathrooms, which were a little dingy. It would be helpful to have a way to indicate when the bathrooms are occupied or not. With so many people coming and going, there was often a line waiting and then one of the bathrooms wouldn't even be occupied but people didn't want to knock to find out. I would return if needed but there was nothing special that makes me want to make a point to come back.

Yelp
Really cool shop with a ton of seating for whatever you're coming to do. It's also located a block off Main St, which makes it very convenient if you want to go grab lunch & come back or meet someone there. I ordered the iced white mocha and the El Cubano sandwich. I LOVED both, but I personally would have preferred regular pickles instead of sweet pickles on the sandwich. The music wasn't too loud either which made it easier to read, so I ended up spending longer than I anticipated because I lost track of time! Overall, really cool vibe in this place! I highly suggest and I'll be coming back :-)

Yelp
Way better local coffee shops out there. Don't waste your time. The service was great. Barista was very friendly but $20 for 2 muffins and 2 drinks. I don't mind paying that price to support small businesses but the food/ drinks better be good. My plain latte was burnt. Plain drip coffee was watery. Blueberry muffin wasn't terrible but not bakery quality or even Costco quality. The banana nut muffin was awful. Got worse with every bite. Imagine eating saw dust and that gives you a good idea of how terrible this muffin was.
google avatar

Ben V.

Yelp
This place is great to grab coffee and a bite to eat while working or studying! The office is exactly what you would expect with a quiet atmosphere and plenty of space to work. I had the pistachio latte and a blueberry muffin. The pistachio latte was tasty but didn't taste too much like pistachio. The blueberry muffin was very soft with a lot of blueberries and sugar on top. The drink and muffin were in my hands two minutes after ordering.

Yelp
I paid $2.00 for avocado and it is not on my salad. I ordered online. Normally i have no problems and the food is great. But had i known this then I wouldn't have tipped cash. Im disappointed today. I walked around on my lunch break and its pretty cold outside so Ill be calling soon. Rating 3 in a half stars.

Paige B.

Yelp
I feel bad expressing but this was my first time trying and it wasn't good. The lattes we ordered tasted nothing like they should've but rather lukewarm milk with artificial syrup. The atmosphere is not the most comfortable but it is spacious and we liked the automatic door.
google avatar

Georgia M.

Yelp
Really fast service! Stopped in for a coffee and ended up trying one of their featured drinks, an iced matcha with pumpkin cream cold foam. Very good! They also donate a portion of the sale to a charity, you get to choose from a list of 3! So cool!

Makeda B.

Yelp
Very good drinks! Unfortunately while waiting on my iced tea I watched the barista roll her eyes and make very off putting facial expressions towards multiple people. It was pretty unpleasant, but the tea was yummy!

Yelp
My hubby comes to this spot twice a week, chamber meetings and business network weekly meetings too. It's a good space, lots of workable space to meet in large groups or small or solo. It's often packed throughout the day. My husband likes his mochas or espresso shots or for a lattes here. It's a fun and functional space. Lots of space available for reservations too. Why work from home when you could have access to a "coffice".

Yelp
This place is a very nice coffee shop to work at, to begin with, but if you read their philosophy and business vision, you CANNOT not love them. As the name, they strive to create a space where people can do work while having delicious coffee. Part of the store is open to the public as a regular coffee shop, but another part is space for rent to cater to various purposes--large group meetings, small group meetings, event/training spaces, private workspace, or even co-working tables. In addition, according to their website, they also offer various office services such as printing, copying, scanning, faxing, etc. I didn't try those services so I can't speak of it. What's more, to love, they donate a portion of every purchase to charity! They have several options to choose from and I think that's very thoughtful of them. Anyway, I went here to study and do work. I didn't rent a private space or anything. The coffee shop area is nice because there are so many windows, thus you don't feel stuffy. The tables and chairs are comfortable to sit in. The music is not too loud so you can focus on your work or have an earplug on and listen to your music. The service was REALLY quick. I put in my order and before I put my stuff down they already called my name. I had a summer special. Can't remember the name but it was supposed to be mango coconut tea. It tastes mostly like coconut water and I don't taste the mango but it was good and refreshing so I'm not disappointed. After working for some time I got hungry so I ordered the Bird & Berry sandwich, toasted. The sandwich was delicious! Thick slices of turkey, and delicious melted brie, but the best part for me is the fragrant, slightly crisp, perfectly toasted bread. This is the neighborhood coffee shop you will love and want to support.

Yelp
Pros: great spot for work/study, great amount of seating with outlets, snacks/food available, friendly staff Cons: this definitely isn't my favorite spot for specialty coffee, very average and often sub-par coffee but everyone has their own taste I guess!
google avatar

Linda C.

Yelp
What a great place to work or just get a coffee. I love their lattes and everyone is super friendly. I come here at least once a month. Don't miss trying this place out.

James C.

Yelp
Cool place ! Great coffee! Held a few impromptu meetings here and it has been great. Much more than a coffeehouse. Try it!
google avatar

Deanna L.

Yelp
Coffee was quality, great little shop with a relaxing vibe and is work conducive as well. Tried most all the shops during my month stay in Royal Oak and this was by far the best tasting coffee - similar to the flavors on the West Coast. Would definitely recommend to locals as well as visitors. Thank you, I'll be back!
google avatar

Lindsey K.

Yelp
Excellent local coffee shop that has really good basics, but some fun stuff too! Lavender latte anyone? I'm a big fan of their cold brew, and my daughter loves their matcha lattes. They also have really delicious baked goods and cheesecakes. The vibe is very chill and would be a great spot to meet a friend or send off a few emails. I believe there is parking behind the building, but if not there's always ample street parking.

Yelp
My first visit here; when I said that to the barista she offered to make suggestions and I really liked the coffee she recommended! (Cannot for the life of me remember the blend). Super fun vibe and really nice staff; I'll definitely be back!!

Sarah M.

Yelp
I needed a change of pace from working at home so I looked up coffee shops in Royal Oak. I am SO GLAD I chose this place. Their staff are so friendly! I had never been before so I asked the barista Payton to surprise me. She did amazing! My latte tasted amazing and so did the sandwich she made me. It is also a great place for working. They have a lot of different seating options so you can be comfortable while working. You can also rent office space by the hour if you have a private meeting. 10/10 suggest you try this place if you work from home!
google avatar

Yelp
The tea is good and the space is physically nice but the soundscape does anything but promote focus, deep thinking and concentration. The music is insipid. The sound system is poor.
google avatar

Yelp
Great and fast service! While training at a nearby company my manager took our group out for coffee. We were a group of a little over 20! It was early in the morning and the staff was so efficient and helpful taking orders. Everyone had their orders after around 15 minutes! I had the blueberry black iced tea and it was refreshing and high quality! The atmosphere is so welcoming and I would definitely go there to get work done! I highly recommend and I'm sure that I'll be back!

Yelp
I was looking for a different coffee shop to go to in Royal Oak, and this one appeared in my search results. I thought I would give it a try. I typically do not like to do my homework in a coffee shop; however, this coffee shop was different. It was much more quite than other coffee shops. Everyone there was actually doing work rather than socializing. It was shocking to me because people will typically be more social in a coffee shop. But I was okay with that because I like to do my home work in more quite environments. On the other hand, the seating was not the most comfortable. The lower tables have wheels on all four legs, and they do not properly lock. This made it a little annoying if I slightly moved the table would roll in every direction. I ordered The Office Monster smoothie. It was made with yogurt, peanut butter, banana, and spinach. When the cashier said spinach, it threw me off because of the other ingredients in it. I never really had a smoothie with that type of a combination; rightfully so, I gave it a try. The peanut butter and the spinach were the two dominant flavors in the smoothie. It was a good balance of flavor. But the smoothie is a little over priced at $7.50; at most, I believe roughly $5.00 for it is more reasonable. I had great service. The cashier was kind and respectful. He made my order quickly and had a high sense of urgency to make my order. Thank you for the great service.

Yelp
This isn't a relaxing atmosphere, but if you're in need of a quiet spot to work or study, you'll be all set. The niche is that you can rent meeting space here in a variety of sizes. I bought a latte and it was bad, really bad. Maybe the coffee is better?
google avatar

Yelp
Im an avid Starbucks-ER so with a Starbucks just down the street it was always hard for me to justify coming here when I could go get Starbucks rewards. HOWEVER, when Starbucks was being remodeled and it was a busy afternoon I walked down the street and stopped in here. I was hungry so I grabbed a sandwich and a tea and took a seat. Since that first time this is now my go-to in RO and I've tried a few of their cooler items as well as many of their pastries and they have all been fresh and tasty. My fav is the Cubano sandwich. Yum. They have various teas they rotate which are usually very good as well. Coffee, yep, it's hot and delicious (but how can you screw that up?!) Service is always stellar and the wifi always works. Sometimes it gets a little loud when I'm trying to take a meeting but I just have to keep reminding myself to go on mute when not talking.
google avatar

Soar I.

Yelp
Not too bad of a spot. Very open space with high bar tables and comfier chairs for conversation. They have a variety of about a dozen teas as well as real food (sandwiches). They offer smoothies too. Very comfy spot with good temperature regulation (important for me as a student who posts up sitting for hours). The seating by the front door has full sunlight and you can watch people walk their dogs as you're contemplating life or need a few minutes of a break from studying. They also have gender neutral bathrooms (yaaas). The bathrooms are very clean and have air hand driers. There are 2 parking structures nearby that cost $0.75 per hour but the first 2 hours are free--which is better than street parking. Servers are very nice.

Yelp
My experience was meh. Maybe it's because I'm from out of state, but I felt like the quality standards weren't there. It was easy to order from yelp and have the drinks ready by the time I showed up. The shop was beautifully modern and quite hipster. I ordered: regular coffee with cream, a vanilla creme frap drink and a few other espresso frap drinks. The drinks all lacked flavor and tasted like something I could have made at home, but more watered down. The fraps were bland, but were a nice treat for a warm day; more importantly, the drinks looked nothing like they looked in the photo. I was a bit disappointed in paying an absorbent price for what was just crushed ice milk, but who knows, maybe I just went in on a bad day.

Yelp
So, I've had this place on my radar for some time, and wanted to come check it out. Why, you ask, when there's a million different coffee shops, both big and small, corporate and independent that I could have gone to instead? Because this one is supposed to be part office, part hang out and part coffee shop. I like that idea since I'm usually there not just for the coffee, but the environment as well. I really struggled with this review for a variety of reasons, and left feeling somewhat conflicted. Initially, I left thinking "I'm not coming back here, it's not what I expected. Total one star." But, after I thought about it, I then thought that was a bit harsh, so I will explain my experience here. When I got here, I was initially impressed with the layout and available seating. Plenty of windows, blah blah blah. I was greeted by two guys at the counter who were more then willing to answer my questions. As I walked around the back, I realized that they have additional seating in the back, along with a printer, and a few rooms you can reserve if you need them. Cool. Anyways, here's where I started to go sour. First off, I was hoping that they had a bit more privacy. Like a quiet zone or something. Not that it was loud, but I always had the impression that you could come in, work, meet with people and it's a great neutral ground. I didn't feel that way. I felt like it's a super nice coffee shop with a great setup, but if you're trying to have a more serious conversation, this might not be the place for that. Second, and most importantly, the wifi connection was horrible. I would log in, go and do stuff, plugging away, then get disconnected somehow. Way uncool. It's not my computer because I have no problem connecting anywhere else but here. Then, after getting kicked off a few times, I tryed to punch back in the password and it told me I was fine. Well, the first 5 times I got booted it worked, now it doesn't? UUGGGGHHHHH NO time for this!!!!!! So, I packed up to leave. Forget it. I need the internet connection to get anything done, and if that doesn't work, I'll go somewhere closer to home. But here's the funniest part. As I'm packing up, I glanced over into one of their reserved rooms, and there's a yoga class going on. I'm like, WHAT? about 10 people were crammed in there doing yoga. I'm like WTF. I stared for a minute, then laughed to myself, and thought, what an odd place for Yoga!!! Anyways, I want to like this place, but unless I can get back online the next time I'm back here without any problems, I'm not coming back.

Yelp
I swear I met my best friend here. Not really but the customer service I experienced sure did make me feel like I did! :-) Came in to this lovely gem on a Thursday afternoon! Now I am not from Michigan so I didn't know what to expect - I just knew I needed to charge my laptop in a quiet space with internet and caffeine preferably & this served ALL my needs. They also serve food and while I didn't order any personally, what they had left looked delicious! All in all - this place came in clutch as I was working remotely in another state for a bit! Will GLADLY return for some fabulous tea and a cute, quiet place to work!

Brooke M.

Yelp
The name is fitting. Good environment for studying but if you are looking for decent food or coffee go somewhere else. If you like overpriced average food you could make better for yourself at home or very dark roast, burnt coffee this might be the place for you. Close your eyes and you can jump right into Monday morning, sipping your break room burnt coffee and getting ready to take on the day. Many better options in the area in my opinion.
google avatar

Dave N.

Yelp
Staff is very friendly. The bagels were great and my Frappe was on point. A bit noisy. The free WiFi is very difficult to access. And their pricing for paid WiFi is very confusing. The radio is blaring and it's packed on a Sunday. They have private rooms available for a hefty price. Not a very good 'work environment' in the common area. And the chairs are hard wood, not good for working more than a few hours. Parking is crap. It looks popular with the younger crowd, so it may be a great place for you. But I'm much older and unless I want to spend $30 or more, it's not for people who want to get actual work done. I won't be coming back, but I encourage you to check it out for yourself before you decide.

Yelp
Nice cute little shop close to the community college. They have good coffee, amazing food and plenty of seating with power outlets. Spent the whole day studying there, the vibes are amazing
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Cute spot, tons of natural light, lots of options for different kinds of seating so you can be cozy/comfy while you work. Nice selection of loose leaf teas, too! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, lots of outlets :). I will be back for future work-from-home needs!
google avatar

Beth J.

Yelp
Nice, friendly. It seems pretty typical for coffee shops, but with a few nice twists. For one thing, they have meeting space to rent -- you could conceivably have your "office" here. Or just a meeting. Apparently they have basic business essentials available too. Pretty cool in my opinion, especially if you run your own business out of your home, but don't really have a good space to meet with clients or customers. Another thing -- they have a pay it forward philosophy, so a portion of your purchase goes to a charity of your choice. They had 3 on May 2, though perhaps they change them now and then. In any case, a portion of my iced tea went to the RO Animal Shelter. And also lowered the cost of my drink. I grew up in RO and was just taking a little walk yesterday, but saw this shop and stopped in. I will be back someday!
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Passed by this place and decided to grab some Frappes. The interior was clean and quiet; a great place to finish up some work or homework. We got a great deal with their buy one get one free Frappe. I ordered my drink with no caffeine. The drink was delicious and wasn't too sweet. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and a good consistency. Everyone there was friendly and helpful which is nice. Its a nice place to go for some delicious drinks. Definitely beats Starbucks!!
google avatar

Yelp
What a cute little coffee shop / co-working space in Royal Oak! I stopped in yesterday for some meetings and a bit of work and had a lovely time. I typically go for coffee when I'm working but I was so parched I had an iced tea which was delicious. I also added a raspberry shortbread bar for a bit of a snackeroo and it was soooo good. Next time I for sure plan to get coffee since they carry Water Street Coffee out of Kalamazoo which I LOVE. The barista was really pleasant and I just had an all around great experience. The space is bright and airy with huge windows and lots of natural light. They have a ton of tables to work at, free secure wifi, and offer room rentals and such for special events and co-working/meetings (spaces large enough to accommodate up to 20 people). They also offer copy/print/scan services, lockers, and AV equipment for use in house as well. Also the coolest? A percentage of all purchases goes to charity! They give you four to choose from and you select where you want your money to go. Really awesome. A great business model, excellent location, a charitable component, good coffee, and a fab space. I like it and look forward to more visits here in the future!
google avatar

Jessie L.

Yelp
Really cool place! My cousin took a few headshots of me inside the coffee shop and we had no issues. Yummy coffee too!

Brittnee S.

Yelp
I go to the Office Coffee Shop when every I want to break up the monotony of working from home. I must add that it's a 35 min drive for me.... so I'm clearly a big fan. You can go online and reserve your favorite table prior to your visit. They have fun flavored lattes (my fav), diary free options, pastries, and food options so you never have to leave lol. If you're a coffee house fanatic, you should come check them out!

Yelp
Mandatory coffee shop rubric: 1. Tasty stuff: I enjoyed my mocha, very much. 2. Friendly people behind the counter: Very nice. 3. I-feel-ready-to-work-but-will-watch-hours-of-YouTube ambiance: A lot of high tables and high seats actually for some reason compels me not to YouTube. 4. Outlets, the all-important outlets: Limited, but not impossible. 5. Table real estate: It was really crowded mid-day on a Wednesday. 6. Clean bathroom: Can't complain. 7. YouTube-ready wifi: Also, can't complain. The Office was a nice place to work. I wonder if it's always so packed.
google avatar

Kiley K.

Yelp
I've been coming to The Office almost every week (two-punch Tuesday ftw) for over a year now and have really enjoyed the great atmosphere and sense of community here. It's truly a fantastic place to study or meet. It has consistently been clean, always has a great playlist going and has very delicious drinks--with a portion of your payment going to a charity of your choice, to boot! Manager Miles is the perfect face of the business! He's extremely knowledgable and passionate about the coffee craft (check the pour-over tattoo on his arm) and is very creative with caffeine (seriously, give him a couple preferences to work with and he'll be sure to concoct your new favorite drink)! His cheery attitude and friendly personality brighten my day every time that I come in!

Yelp
This is one of my go-to coffee houses in Royal oak. As 1. It's pretty quiet so you get some work done. 2. Usually i can find a spot 3. WiFi is pretty good Seems like you can reserve certain spots in the cafe for bigger group projects which is nice and they do have decent amount of snacks there too. Overall, Has anyone who is looking g for a nice cafe to study in : coffee, WiFi and ports for charging!
google avatar

Rossini B.

Yelp
Plenty of space, pretty nice place to study or meet up with people. Tables are a bit too high for the chais. Makes it uncomfortable for the shoulders when you're trying to get some work done on your laptop. But overall, love coming here!
google avatar

Jessica F.

Yelp
Such a lovely and delicious place to relax or work!! I loved their smoothies and food options.
google avatar

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Awesome coffee and food right in downtown Royal Oak. They have a variety of seating for those who stay and eat in. They have high top tables and low tables with easy access to plugs to charge your laptop. They also have comfy seating, perfect if you want to stay and chat with a friend. Another thing I love is that when you pay you get to pick for a portion of the proceeds to go to local charities. At the register they have info about the charities and you get to pick between 1 of the 3.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
The coffee was basic and so was the lemon poppyseed muffin. I'm sure these guys are known for the alternative spaces to rent for businesses. The coffee shop was okay. I wouldn't go back just for it alone.
google avatar

Lorraine F.

Yelp
Excellent coffee!!! We were going across the street the Royal Oak Music Theatre. Good place to sit and have a coffee, tea, snack before your performance. Counter service was pleasant...I had brewed and was offered dark or light roast and offered room for cream without having to ask for that. It's those little things that count. Had a yummy lemon poppy seed muffin and they offered to warm it up if I wanted. Nice, pleasant place!!!

Yelp
I really love the atmosphere of this coffee shop. Great coffee, tons of tables and seating areas for study sessions, group meetings, and friendly conversations. It is in a awesome location in downtown Royal Oak. However, the baristas were very rude to me and did not feel very welcoming, it was my first time here and I even asked for kind recommendations- did not really get much of an answer. Will be returning soon, hopefully with friendlier customer service from the employees.

Yelp
A highly enjoyable venue with plenty of space to sit around and work on school things, work things, personal things, or whatever you may need to do. With lots of table space, including high-tops & low-top tables, seating for a small group is easy to find. They even have a wonderful space that can be rented out for say a meeting or small group project to work together in a quiet set aside space. It's an inclosed room that has frosted windows and so allows more privacy and just a wonderful appearance. The stools at the high tops unfortunately are not very comfortable though and after about an hour of sitting my bottom was noticeably sore. A chair would have been better, but I do prefer high tops to work at. Overall the space works great if you need access to free accessible wifi and a mostly quiet area so you can focus on work at hand. Sticking to my baseline, I ordered a basic latte for in house. From immediate first sip the taste was heavy on the milk and light on the espresso. Temperature of the beverage was a tad hotter than should be served, but it didn't cross the line of burning my mouth. The espresso lacked any and all kinds of body. Almost as if a light roast standard drip coffee had been used in place of the espresso. Unfortunate, but still drinkable. Overall the experience was good. Just good, not impressed when everything becomes combined together, but I will say, go to enjoy the space not necessarily the espresso beverages. Maybe next time I will try something else to see if that changes the beverage/latte portion of my visit. Wonderful idea you have here The Office Coffee Shop, just need to work on that espresso. Becoming my workhorse for days when I need to study for a long period of time. The baristas are always kind and courteous, which can't always be said for those baristas down the street (atomic...). They've got a number of food options as well to tie you over - bagels, breakfast sandwiches, smoothie bowls...all at incredibly reasonable prices. Try the peanut butter berry smoothie bowl...you won't regret! The biggest perk for me is there is a water fountain! It gets annoying to ask for a refill on your water bottle throughout the day, and this solves the problem. WiFi is killer and they have a printer if you're in need!
