Office Tavern at EWR totally exceeded my layover expectations. Grabbed their Caesar salad—crisp romaine, buttery croutons, creamy dressing with the right peppery kick, and warm grilled chicken on top. It’s big enough for two or three, but I demolished it solo. The kids split a burger and a pizza, both huge yet still tasty. The chicken sandwich barely hit the table before it was inhaled—juicy, great seasoning, no airport blandness here. Seating is solid: roomy booths, a lively bar, and a relaxed vibe that feels miles from terminal chaos. Big shout-out to Maria for lightning-quick, genuinely warm service. Drinks stayed full, food arrived fast, and she made the whole stop easy. For airport dining, Office Tavern nails it.

Service could have been a little more attentive but was still very good for an airport restaurant. My breakfast came out quickly and the omelette was so hot that I had to let it cool a little to eat it. I can’t stand cold eggs. Coffee was hot and had good flavor. Not bitter. The OJ was much better than I expected. Tasted almost fresh squeezed.

My partner and I stopped in here after a HELLISH 48 hours of flight delays. We went to this place to treat ourselves. Given everything else in this terminal is expensive (even the fast food) we decided to just call it a wash and go to the fancy place. Elma our server also makes the craft cocktails here and got featured in a magazine! She made our experience feel like a 5 star restaurant in an airport

If you’re lucky enough to have Elma as your server or bartender, you’re in for a top-tier experience. From the moment we walked in, Elma made us feel genuinely welcome—with a warm smile, great energy, and a perfect balance of professionalism and personality. She handled our table with absolute grace, offering fantastic drink recommendations and knowing exactly when to check in without ever being intrusive. The cocktails she made were not only delicious but also beautifully presented—you can tell she takes pride in her craft. What really stood out was her attention to detail and ability to make each guest feel special. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first visit, Elma treats you like you’re the most important person in the room. In a world where great service can be rare, Elma is a true standout. She elevates the whole atmosphere and makes you want to come back—not just for the food or drinks, but to see her again. A total gem!

Diego is an amazing server and his suggestions were spot on! The food was delicious but the 3% Employees benefits & retention charge is an absolute joke!!

I’ve never felt the desire to review an airport bar/restaurant until today. The service was top notch and the food is some of the best I’ve ever had at an airport. This is making me re-consider my dislike for Newark airport.

What an awesome breakfast! Katherine our waitress was outstanding. Her positive energy and calmness was contagious especially with the stress of traveling. She spoke highly of the meals we ordered and she was right! Loved the avocado egg white toast! Would highly recommend eating here and asking for Katherine. :)

We had the Tavern wings (spicy buffalo option), which were the best I have ever had, and we had the Seared Tuna Burger (if all burgers were that good, I’d eat them more often). We also had the Cherry Bourbon Old Fashioned drink.

Yelp
Pretty decent food, service, and atmosphere. No real complaints, if you were looking for a good sit down spot, this is one of the only two good options in this terminal. I recommend getting any of those sandwiches as those are probably the best value and are pretty good.

Yelp
I know it's airport pricing, but a burger, fries, and two drinks (plus tax and tip) coming out to over $70 is a little steep even for that. Especially when the burger was mediocre, marginally better than fast food quality. On the plus side, it's a nice place to watch football on a long Sunday layover, and the drinks were strong.

Yelp
Incorrect bill- no mgr to correct it- called 4 times after i left and sent email with zero response. This is not the place I'd eat at in terminal A Newark airport and I'm a frequent flyer. Wait staff doesn't know what they r doing and the service is sub par.

Yelp
Terminal A: delicious food cooked well and served quickly! Nice easy dinner after a flight.

Yelp
My son was burning up with a 102 fever after a flight last night and we asked the server in the white shirt for some water in his kids cup. How unbelievably rude this guy was and denied water for my son. Besides the fact that he wouldn't help my 3 year old son, with the amount of unprofessionalism this man showed, ownership should be embarrassed. Rude, unprofessional and disrespectful- I would never employ someone in a customer service based establishment who exhibits this type of behavior.

Yelp
At The Office Tavern Grill the food is amazing. It's so good and easy on the go. The staff are the literal sweetest people on earth. We had Kathryn she's literally the best waitress I've ever experienced and so kind. The place is in the middle of an airport and it's so convenient. The Office Tavern Grill is really clean and on top of that it's really well designed and the decor is spectacular. My overall experience here was amazing and it was a really good experience.

Yelp
Went to the Newark Airport location. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was good. We had two salads with grilled shrimp. Both were better than expected for airport food. They have a nice selection of drinks with 20 beers on tap. My only complaint is that they don't tell you the ABV of the beers on the menu and that if you order something over 6% it is served in a small tulip glass instead of a pint. When you are paying $13-$14 a beer it would be nice to know if you are getting a short pour.
