Downtown’s Oddfellows nightclub to return after expansion and makeover | Eater Vegas

"Self-described as “the dance club for people who don’t like dance clubs,” this ground-floor spot in the Ogden condominium tower at the corner of Sixth Street and Ogden Avenue was brought to that corner in 2015 by Texan Harvey Graham after previously operating as the Scullery under Michael Cornthwaite’s Future Restaurant Group. The original 2,200-square-foot bar and club is undergoing a substantial 1,050-square-foot expansion that will improve the bathrooms and main dance floor; the venue kept its corner bar open temporarily earlier in the year but has closed for the final upgrades. The drinks menu was updated with $10 cocktails including an Old Fashioned, The Garden (a tequila-based creation), and the Raz SourPuss (vodka, raspberry, and lemon juice). Entertainment leans eclectic — video DJs, vinyl deep cuts, karaoke, ’80s and ’90s themed nights — and the place is known for late-night/early-morning closing hours." - Bradley Martin

My husband and I have rented as an airbnb a condo on the 11th floor for 5 weeks We love the place. It’s noisy at night but get some earplugs and you’ll be fine. So many great bars and restaurants This is the Vegas we love. The rooftop pool is heated and I was the only one using it most days. They have a great gym and community room You can walk everywhere or just relax and cook in your condo with drinks and snacks. We will hopefully stay again in the future

I moved from San Diego directly into The Ogden after a weekend in Las Vegas speaking at sxsw v2v, meeting Tony Hsieh and being introduced to the downtown project. Initially the modern luxuries made for perplexingly great value in comparison. Over the years that immediately followed my love for DTLV and The Ogden grew to great heights. Santa run, Mint 400, Cannabition, ZowieBowie on Fremont, the Market and deli, life is beautiful.... so many things, so many people, the connections, the immense fun and mind bending connections. I won't bore you with my experience of how so many of the things above deteriorated or were dismantled entirely, how they were replaced with lifeless shells of the former, interesting and engaging sociable Ogden gave way to grumpy and pretentious nosey and invasive. The Ogden may have a great view of the strip but when you look out your window at it you will wish you were not surrounded by gunshots, glass covered streets, snotty neighbors, homeless and an almost unlivable atmosphere. Hopefully this phase passes quickly but I have my doubts. Tony 🙏 You will be forever missed ✌️dtlv ✌️Ogden

The rude, old lady security guard is ridiculous and harasses tenants' guests. I have had multiple encounters with her over the last 2 years of my bf living here and every time she has been unpleasant. Make sure you get your own parking pass, or she will argue with you about it in the parking lot and accuse you of writing the slips out yourself. Ans tbh how would she protect anyone in the building, honestly? Get a real security guard. The other ones are great.

Well built and appointed condos in downtown. Door staff pleasant, parking is convenient, and location near downtown.

Awsome place to live. I have many customers who move here and even more that move within to increase size only. All of them love the lifestyle and nite life below. It boasts live music and entertainment. One of my customers walks thier dogs each night and stops to listen to the shows and enjoy the people. I'd recommend this place anytime as a good purchase as a hm or vacation hm.

Came to visit a friend and drop off a package. Staff went ballistic and threatened to tow the car. I was parked in a handicap ♿️ spot. They called over the PA system that we needed to return to the car because pedestrians were not allowed in the parking garage...........This was after we checked in with the staff at the front desk...... The ones who were yelling at us. Plenty of poor reviews. Do NOT reccomend.

Google
This place is an absolute nightmare. The rules of this building for PAYING residents are unfathomable. You would think this was a college dormitory. Most of the staff are nice, but there are a few unpleasant ones. The elderly woman at the front with glasses is horrendous. She is rude, talks down on residents, and extremely dismissive. She doesn’t respect that residents have guests and none needs her permission. She’s controlling and think she’s the owner of the building. She needs to realize, she’s an employee and nothing more. She’s created a hostile environment. Guests hardly want to visit because of fear of having to deal with her. She will turn fobs off if she sees a guests using it, despite guests being with the resident or having permission. Save yourself time and find somewhere else to live. Although it is an absolute beautiful property, it’s not worth the headache that comes with it.

Google
This place has crazy rules. Guests can not use key fobs, my daughter cannot simply take her dog out to pee and and come back to the room. She cannot access the gym and has been talked down to by management and staff. Very rude staff, dont come here save your money. Again, the rules here make you not want to live here.

Yelp
I had the chance to live at The Ogden in two different units (16th & 18th floor), and overall it was a great high-rise experience. The views are incredible, and being right across from Fremont makes it perfect for people-watching and enjoying a truly walkable downtown lifestyle. The building itself feels secure with 24/7 security and concierge, which gave me peace of mind living there. The residents were friendly, and the community overall felt welcoming. That said, my only negative experience was with the HOA office during move-in. The woman working there was extremely unhelpful, and I actually ended up stuck in the parking garage for an hour before finally getting my keys -- something that only got resolved because the owner I was renting from stepped in. Definitely frustrating, especially since the issue was over something as simple as cannabis (which is legal in Vegas). Aside from that, I really enjoyed my time here. The property itself is well-kept, the location can't be beat, and if you want downtown living with amazing views, The Ogden delivers.

Yelp
I was assaulted by strangers in the elevator there and not only would the receptionist not call 911 for me when I had asked her to, the management wouldnt even let me wait inside for the police. I def do not recommend it and no place for children or families. Please be careful.

Yelp
We got a new lick of paint on the interior and what a difference it makes. Yes the association assessments have increased, but honestly it's worth it. The services in this building are IMHO excellent.

Yelp
Super friendly staff, the units here are very spacious the city views are a definite plus too! Super close to good entertainment and Fremont street. Great place downtown!

Yelp
We are renting here for 30 days as a part of my husbands relocation for work and the apartment has been finished with the cheapest fixtures I have ever seen! We haven't even been here a week and the dishwasher is broken, no hot water in the extra bathroom and a broken dining chair. I totally understand trying to save money in furnished apartments but ALL the finishes are sooooo cheaply done! From the utensils, appliances, carpet, bedding, towels, flooring etc...Half the stuff looks like it was bought at the 99cent store. We have stayed in other furnished apartments and this is by far the worst. The carpets are so dirty and full of stains. This place has been marketed as "luxurious living" and asking for $4500 a month! Save your money and find another place, I would not recommend. I will say some positives are the location, safety, great front desk customer service, parking, and clean common areas such as the hallways and lobby.

Yelp
Great place to live or vacation. Centrally located in downtown Las Vegas. Steps away from great bars and delicious restaurants.

Yelp
The staff are all 5 stars and so is the security for getting in and out of this place. I got to stay here with friends and enjoyed this place a lot. The pool and terrace area are upscale and exclusive. The gym is minimally adequate for a quick work out. Not the most luxurious condo I've been to so 4 stars.

Yelp
The Ogden has the best residential location in downtown Vegas. Everything is right out your front door. The amenities are nice and the units fall just shy of what I'd consider luxurious (floor to ceiling windows in all the rooms would be nice). The problem with The Ogden is the type of crowd management has decided to pander to. It's far from sophisticated. "Buy hey, it Vegas"... I get that, but when you live here you still want a quite place to rest your head. By allowing AirBnB rentals The Ogden forces hordes of obnoxious Vegas tourists on you. The reviewer who wrote about vomit and cigarette butts on their patio is absolutely correct - it's a problem in this building. And so is the noise. Banning units from being listed on AirBnB and banning smoking would help turn The Ogden into an extremely nice owner-focused downtown high rise rather than another cheap hotel filled with partying tourists. I'm surprised the owners, who are paying about $.50 a square foot for HOA fees, haven't demanded changes as many Vegas condo owners who were fed up with AirBnB renters have.

Yelp
So it's confirmed. The building is no longer owned by ST Collection and is going through transition in suddle changes.Yes, Zappo's is here, CEOas a resident along with many, many occupying units. Seems like some people maybe bothered by the youths presents and may even be annoyed...not sure where this all stems from. Residents that are non-Zappos seem to have a lot of complaints about the presence. None of the complaints are major. They seem to be mostly feeling left out or singled out. Gathering from "ALL" local complaints it's that the presence is strong in almost everywhere you go downtown and the changes in the community are great and welcomed. Issues locals rant about: The Zappos events blocking out locals, loudness from units, they are anti-social with locals or non-zappos affiliations, they have strong marijuana smells from particular units and walk into an elevator smelling it up with that smell on consistent daily basis. When you greet them it's hit or miss on weither they will return the greet, it's hit or miss if they'll remember your the next time or 15th time you've greeted them. Their are many complaints I've heard but these seem to be the most heard. So far with the exception of 2 negative encounters of my own. I believe that it's important to see that some people jut aren't as friendly as we would hope. Yes, maybe it maybe this particular set group but I'm sure If you randomly go around vegas and single out some people you'll probly find they same results socially. I also think in order to PUSH HARD with change in downtown some of these things are nessecary. Being entirely focused on such a project seems like it would need complete focus.

Yelp
This place is gorgeous! I went for the Downtown Podcast (Twitter @DowntownPodcast ) and it was really amazing. Great views of downtown and convenient to Fremont Street. If I didn't have kids, I would really want to live there (and I don't much like apartments).

Yelp
Wow! What a fantastic community. We bought here over 2 years ago and I have to tell you about this amazing place to live and entertain. Having read some recent and surprisingly negative reviews of The Ogden, we could not disagree more with their misleading and misinformed portrayal of our incredible community. Here is why we are thrilled to be living at The Ogden... The unit we purchased is from the Premium Collection and the name is definitely an understatement...the design, amenities, appliances and workmanship is all top notch. The location of The Ogden Is right in the heart of the downtown scene which seems like the city is upgrading and expanding almost daily! The walkability of this location is absolutely off the charts with restaurants, entertainment, shopping and more just steps from our lobby. But with all of those positives, probably the most attractive quality to us since our purchase is the service, security and safety of the building. The 24 hour, friendly concierge team make deliveries and local connections super easy. The 24 hour security team is very capable and clearly present to all as the building is regularly patrolled. And it seems like more technology and physical devices (cameras, advanced fobs, door locks, gates, etc.) are continuously being implemented to increase safety and security even more throughout the building. And the manner is which the current Short Term Rental question is being addressed is likely a model for all high rise condominiums. Open, honest communication with all homeowners/residents and also with the City Council and Mayor's office is truly exemplary. This approach and the proposed allowance of a closely managed, very few authorized STR units in the building make us very confident about our continued safe and comfortable lifestyle here. We LOVE life at The Ogden!

Yelp
Condos and leasing units. Place is real chill, friendly management/leasing, maintenance staff are quick to respond. Professionally managed and maintained, upscale hi-rise. Features, rooftop pool and rooftop lounge area, full gym, clubhouse, lobby concierge and around the clock security. Just a push of the elevator button down takes you smack center of downtown's entertainment nightlife! One of the best if not best location in the downtown/Bar District/Freemont Experience area! Non-stop events happening around the building!! STRICTLY for the young, energetic, alcohol-thirsty, party-goin, bar hoppin, fast-food/restaurant eatin and morning hangover-havin EVERY FRIGGEN DAY and twice on Sundays The Ogden requires to become a tenant!!!! If this is for you, sorry, The Ogden is full capacity. Zappos is to blame for all this fun and crazy madness....

Yelp
The Ogden is a great place to live if: a) You work for Zappos or b) You work for or are otherwise affiliated with Downtown Project. I fit neither of those categories so I didn't have a great time living there. During our time here I had other residents ask me if I worked for Zappos or Downtown Project or if I knew Tony Hsieh or whatever. When I told them I didn't, the response was invariably the same: "Then why do you live here?" After a while, I began to wonder, too. The building is very nice and clean. The units are spacious and well-appointed, and there are amenities like a nice pool and gym. Most of the concierges are pleasant and helpful. This is where the second star would come from if I was feeling generous, but I'm not. There is also a pet relief area outside but as is typical among apartment dwellers, many residents did not clean up after their dogs. The HOA is obnoxious. We would get emails constantly announcing that this or that was no longer allowed- like how pets were only allowed in the freight elevator? What? The typical resident is young and parties a lot. They all seemed to get along amongst themselves but for those unaffiliated with the scene revolving around Hsieh and Co., it is difficult to meet people and socialize. There is a residents' only mailing list that my husband asked to join... he was told he could not have that information. There is also a constant rotating stream of guests who use the building as a hotel. We had some on our floor for a while who kept leaving garbage outside their door instead of taking it to the trash chute, like a maid was going to come clean it up or something. Finally, the security. The security guards here are universally awful and on a continuous power trip, but one in particular is just terrible: Jason. Say hi for me if you see him. Here's my favorite Jason encounter: My husband parked in the loading zone in the garage for a couple of minutes while he ran upstairs to get something and, you know, LOAD it into the car. Jason told me we could not park there and told me to move the car. I did not have the keys. I tried to explain this but he escalated the encounter and eventually threatened to have me arrested and removed *from the building I lived in.* (He knew us and knew we were residents.) On another occasion, while parked nearby, security told us to move because we couldn't park there... and then it turned out they wanted us to move so someone affiliated with a Downtown Project-backed business could park there instead. Classy. Anyway, I hated living here. A lot of people like it and it's certainly the nicest place to live in downtown Vegas, but the culture of the building (Zappos dorm) is obnoxious, unless you're into that sort of thing. I probably would have liked living in Las Vegas a lot more if we'd just bought a house.

Yelp
Update....we purchased a one bedroom unit in The Ogden in 2016 and loved it so much we upgraded to a 4 bedroom unit in 2018. The amenities (roof top pool, gym, social lounge, pet park, sky deck) and 24/7 security are outstanding and the issues with short term rentals in the building will essentially be resolved with the recent passage of the new short term rental amendment to the CCR's. Don't hesitate to rent or purchase a home at The Ogden : )

Yelp
Lived in the building for almost 3 years...Lets just say it has came a long way. As with anything there are good points and bad points. Overall I do like the building, however a few things people should know before moving in. 1. There is NO waiting list ! haha yes that is correct they have plenty of units available for rent however they like creating a buzz and an extreme interest in the property so they can keep the rents high. So what do they do ? They tell you if you would like to join the waiting list so when something comes up for rent your be the first to know...LoL the oldest trick in the book. I confirmed this with a ex employee who worked there. Lots of units for rent if your willing to pay the price $$$$$ 2. Yes the zappos crash pads located through-out the building are annoying (groups of people always clogging the elevator, taking up guest parking, standing around blocking doorways) and not to mention seems like they get more preferred treatment from the staff. Parking where they want, making noise etc etc 3. Parking is a issue but unless you work for Z or rent 50 plus units in the building then you get plenty of parking otherwise plan on 1 parking space for unit. The HOA offers no help in trying to locate another parking space or solution for your roommate or whoever lives with you that may happen to drive. My opinion: There have been talks of selling off the units to private owners...I feel this would be better not only for the building but for the people who live in the condos. Then the individual owners have a say on what goes on...Not just the HOA and management company....Might take away that prison feeling ha ha. I hope this helps.

Yelp
Home Sweet Home. I've been here since the end of August, so almost 6 months now just like my roommate John M. As far as high rises go this place is an amazing deal for the size of our unit, and its one of the few, if not the only high rise buildings I know of that has a 3 bedroom unit of its size. Not everyone is a fan of the area around The Ogden, but the area is the whole reason I wanted to move into the building in the first place. (Well, that & because I can walk to work.) But even before I moved down here I spent a lot of my time down on Fremont East. The main problem with the area is you have to leave the area to get anything. Groceries for instance, or anything other than pizza, fast food, or thai. The units are all nice, but the 3 bedrooms are far and away much nicer than the 1 and 2 bedroom units. They all have hardwood floors, dark granite countertops, and stainless steal appliances. The concierge desk is a great feature and any time I need anything I just ring down & talk to one of the guys. If they don't have an answer for you they will damn sure find it and call you back once they do. The rooftop pool is great, but i rarely use it because with the wind its just too cold in the summer because they cool it off too much, and in the winter I just don't want to use it. The hot tub is amazing though. The view can't be beat though. As others have mentioned the parking is a pain in the ass, but i don't know of anywhere parking isn't. The only thing that is kind of unreasonable is how many empty spots are all throughout this 8 story deck and if you want an extra spot it's $100 per month. Just plan on having your guests park at the El Cortez and walk over. There are a couple of issues with the building itself. A lot of things were overlooked when they built this place. But what isn't right I have to say they usually do their best to fix. This is the ONLY place I have ever lived, where if a light bulb burns out they will bring you a new one, and usually the same day. We also have a lot of building events like the Christmas party (catered by Triple George Grill.) and the Terrace party (catered by Le Thai with open bar and DJ by Insert Coin(s). Overall I would say this place is a great property but you can tell there were just a lot of corners cut when they originally built the building. & like my roommate said...Where's the hall closet and kitchen drawers?

Yelp
Wow, such high highs and low lows on this place. Been living here 6 months and I'm so up and down on the place. Overall great value, but lots to be mindful of... LOCATION: On one hand you are super close to the strip and the highways, you are walking distance to Fremont Street bars & casinos, and you are central to all of Las Vegas. On the other hand, there are not quality grocery stores nearby & there are VERY few decent restaurants nearby. SAFETY: Again, up and down. The neighborhood is pretty dismal with bums, run down motels, and empty lots all around you. Venturing one block on foot in any direction other than west, is really not advisable after sundown. However, there is a pretty strong security & police presence most places. Parking is guarded by security and gates. Elevators require keys. The building is safe, but the neighborhood is questionable. VALUE: You simply cannot find a luxury high-rise apartment with location and amenities like this for the price. QUALITY: The floors are hardwood and beautiful. The windows span the walls with breath-taking views of the Strip and Downtown. The appliances, counter tops, and cabinets are all modern, sleek, and top quality. Ceilings are all very high. Balconies are typically small. You will be proud to bring guests into your home, and they will be impressed. SIZE: There are several unit models. Mine is a larger 3 bedroom. The master BR is incredible, with plenty of room everywhere including closets and bathroom. The dining and living areas are freaking humongous. It is the highlight of the unit. The second bedroom is small and cramped. The third bedroom is so tiny I feel like I sleep in a walk-in closet. It will only fit a maximum queen bed, one night stand, and one tall dresser, not a long one. PARKING: A bit of an issue. There is just one guest level, and its usually filled with tourists who want free parking for Fremont. You are assigned one or two spots, but mine are on the 7th floor, which means I drive in circles for 5 or so minutes just to exit the building before my drive to work even begins. Annoying. But it is safe, with guards walking around constantly, and an arm operated by clicker preventing undesirables, which sometimes does get broken off. AMENITIES: The rooftop pool on the 25th floor is awesome. Its open 24 hrs and has an incredible view of the strip. There is a hot tub, nice bathrooms, lounge chairs, and did I mention its open 24/7? The gym is pretty darn nice. Its got everything most people need to work out every body part, its not huge, but better than most apartment gyms. An incredible view once again. Almost good enough for me to not have a gym membership, but recently it went from 24 hrs to having 8am-9pm hrs, which I don't like. A small doggie park area. OTHER: Where are the closets? There are ZERO closets for jackets, vacuums, etc. Where are the bathroom drawers? There are ZERO drawers for toiletries, just a large cabinet under the sink in which everything must fit. Where are the linen closets? I have no place to store towels except under the sink with all the rest of my toiletries. The place is pet friendly, and concierges are very helpful. They offer a reasonable dry cleaning service as well. In the end, lots of good things to say, and you can't beat this for the money, but definitely some quirky things that you will never get used to. Solid 4 out of 5

Yelp
I love the Ogden and here's why: 1. The concierge staff is top notch. They're a friendly bunch of people who always make you feel welcomed. 2. Location, location, location. Right in the heart of downtown Las Vegas and close to restaurants (There is a bar/restaurant right downstairs called Itsy Bitsy), grocery store, dog park, gambling, etc. I personally love all the action going on right in the area, but if you want a quiet place then this not necessarily be your best bet. I mean, come on, it's downtown Las Vega, and if you're moving down here I'm assuming you don't mind having a lot going on all the time in the area. 3. The outdoor spaces. There's a pool and nice outdoor sitting area on the roof, 25 floors up, that give you amazing views and a chance to catch some sun. The pool isn't very big, but with the view it's definitely worthwhile. 4. The conference/study/community room. There are rarely any people in there, but I don't know why. It's a great space on the 16th floor looking out towards the strip and I'v personally used it for getting work done, but it also has a kitchen area that would be great for entertaining larger groups of people. It has a couple couches and a table and bathrooms in the large space. 5. The gym. As far as apartment/condo gyms go it's solid. 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, exercise bikes, dumbbells up to 50lbs, pull up bar with adjustable cable unit, lat pulldown machine, 2 benches (No barbells, but they are adjustable benches that can do an incline), leg press machine, pec fly, rear delt, leg extension, leg curl - lots of options. 6. It's AWESOME. Really just everything about living in the Ogden is great and I'd highly suggest it for someone who is looking for a high rise building to live in in Las Vegas. They have condos going from 200k-600k, but also have leases available starting at $1,600 or so.

Yelp
Just wrapping up two days of non-stop meetings here in Vegas. Friends recommended the Ogden. Since most of the meetings were in the Fremont Street area it was perfect. Our suite was well appointed, everything just worked perfectly and the staff was amazingly helpful. I got on the elevator at one point and said "It smells like a penguin in here." Turns out two penguins were staying one floor below us and were in town for a First Friday event. So I guess the Ogden is pet friendly. It doesn't get much better than this.
google avatar

Fernando R.

Yelp
This is building that is well located, right next to Fremont or old Vegas. Cheap gambling , bars and food right next to you. The top lofts have an incredible view and you get a beautiful rooftop pool with it. Definitely a nice place. My negatives from staying here were definitely management . They try to make you feel less if you're here through Airbnb, despite paying thousands of dollars to them. They experience outweighs them.
google avatar

Neal V.

Yelp
Don't buy unless you love constant noise, homeless people sleeping in nooks & crannies begging for change, dogs screeching at you in elevators. The fob system for elevators has been out of order for a month, so anyone can walk in off the street thought the back dock service elevator & go anywhere they want. The concierges are very nice, most don't last long. The leasing office is the worst. I've lived here 4 years and still have a non functioning garbage disposal and dishwasher that can't wash anything clean. My 1/2 bathroom can only be used to pee. Was told to buy my own plunger. When I arranged to move in I took 2 weeks off work to move & get settled in. When I came to pick up keys on Friday before, was told my unit not ready for several weeks yet. (Turned out to be 3 months), then they switched units on me after I had already ordered address labels, new checks for my new address. Darcy is good, as is Evelyn who plans events for residents. But the rest will lie to your face and ignore you once they have your money. I had a unit on "quiet" side of building. Music from Gold Spike keeps you awake until 2, 3, 4 in the morning. Even the parking lot on blares music 24/7. Invest in good ear plugs. The other side is worse for noise, but you get "the view".
google avatar

Saba T.

Yelp
I Purchased a unit last year, and we love it.... we love the concierge and love Darcy who helped with the purchase.... she did an amazing job. We come from a suburban area of Southern California, and this is a rush of excitement change to the urban lifestyle. We love the building and the location.

Yelp
My partner and I have lived here for almost 2 years and sadly we have to move tomorrow. They are no longer renewing leases and we're not in the position to buy - though we definitely would if we could! Pros: - Joe, Dino, Darian, and Chris: from sales, security and reception respectively. Those who work in and around The Ogden are extremely competent and also awesome people. - The residents are a big family, you can get to know your neighbors if you would like to. There's always someone to feed your cat if you jet away on the weekend. - There are two great bars *in* the building: Itsy Bitsy and Oddfellows. Also within one block you have lots of food options: Le Thai, Vegenation, Therapy, La Comida, Bronze Cafe and the best breakfast in Las Vegas: eat. - There is a hair/beauty salon in the building. Also MintLocker, a magical box where you put your clothes and they come back dry cleaned the next day. - Pool / gym / sky deck are open 24 hrs - If your unit faces north you get to watch the mainstage of Life is Beautiful festival for free. Also if you're into aviation, north units look over Nellis Air Force Base. There are multiple "red flag" training days throughout the year, the annual airshow, and the RedBull air race. You can't hear them but you can see them. The first time you see a massive B-52 bomber doing combat training you will freak out (in a good way). - There is not a commercial flight path over the building. No rattling windows. Thank god. - For the buyers among us: the HOA fees are lower than other condos and you get a lot for it. The building is relatively new and not plagued with the pipe issues like Regency Towers, or exploding water heaters like Turnberry. - Google the Downtown Las Vegas master plan. They're suggesting an extension of the monorail (that's currently on the strip) north to connect Downtown and south to the airport. Also they are planning for new parks and trees to line the streets. Also - a full sized supermarket only a couple blocks away. Cons: - I'm only adding cons so it doesn't look like a fake review - When both doors of the service elevator are left open the lobby smells like trash - It can be noisy sometimes, this is the entertainment district If you're in the position to buy or rent from a private owner here, definitely recommend coming in for a walkthrough. Can't believe we're moving. We will miss you Ogden!

Yelp
I purchased a unit last year and I must say I love it!! Staff is very friendly and the building is conveniently located to all the Vegas hot spots!

Yelp
Don't purchase in this building! It is being promoted as a Air BnB location. A large share of the units are rented out every night. Parties galore and noise. Guest parking always full. Very lax security makes living in this building a nightmare!

Yelp
I reluctantly moved out of the Ogden yesterday after living there for a year and a half (the owner of the unit I was renting moved back in). I had a great experience. The front-desk staff is professional, friendly, and very helpful. The amenities are fantastic and well taken care of. I also made great friends while living in the building. The building throws a few socials each month so that residents can meet each other and explore new spots downtown. I'm sad that I had to move out and would consider buying a unit there in the future.

Yelp
Very cool and modern building, awesome location and I like the fact that its a pet-friendly environment. It's supposed to be 25th floors but it skips levels between floors (I would assume it's about 20 stories). Gym is kind of small, pool is closed very frequently. I would've given better stars but there's down sides like they only give you a parking space even if you are leasing a 2 bedroom condo. Some of their staff it's not very considerate. In fact, you get better assistance and service if you work or have something to do with Zappos.

Yelp
This review is on concierge staff at The Ogden...absolutely incredible. I'm there weekly for meetings and they are so helpful, personable and extremely friendly. The staff is always smiling and energetic and that really puts you in a good mood upon arrival to the building, no matter what brings you by. Keep up the good work!

Yelp
What a great place to stay, we stayed there bank holiday weekend May 23-27, 2014. Communication with star was A+, Building was tops! People who lived in building tops! The only complaint was the windows in the pool area were dirty and do not look like the photos and the jacuzzi was not working and the water level was really low, but it was still warm! Otherwise we would gladly stay there again, toddler friendly, family friendly, close to everything, airport accessible via public transport via WAX & CX. Met a lot of people in the elevator and everyone was friendly. Plan to return next year Yelp Bitches!

Yelp
Concierge is amazing, amenities are excellent, HOA office is always helpful, leasing is very easy to work with, the security staff is very good at what they do and I never feel in danger. The building is located in the heart of downtown; if you're looking for an awesome location in the epicenter of downtown, than I would suggest living here. This place is why living in Las Vegas is awesome!

Yelp
Was only staying with a few friends at this one and it was a really nice place! Very modern and up to date, I liked that there were a ton of floors and definitely well kept in the common areas 8)

Yelp
UPDATE 9/8/14 - Just reading through recent comments that clearly mirror my experience. Then I saw the review by "John C" on 5/23/14 on here stating that they "stayed there on bank holiday" and would "stay there again". Therein lies one of the ongoing problems that sadly hasn't changed since we moved out. It is NOT a hotel and should not have transient people staying there on holiday. Sad, yet not surprised to see the state of affairs at Ogden seems to be getting worse, not better. While I appreciate everything that Tony Hsieh and Zappos are doing for downtown, I do not enjoy sharing this building with them! Tony lives in the building and another 50 or so Zappos employees live here as well. In addition, Zappos uses a lot of the units for offices and "crash pads", where visitors to Zappos and the Downtown Project spend a couple of nights then move on. On my floor alone, there are about 8 residents, the rest of the units are rented out by Zappos. Parking is a joke as there is only 1 space per unit, even for a 2 bedroom unit (where does the other occupant park, you might ask? Wherever you can find an open space downtown). The guest spaces in the garage are taken by tourists and people going out downtown looking for free parking and the many daily Zappos visitors. The music is unbearably loud, even at 4:00am and often rattles the windows. Homeless people use the dog run area as their personal outhouse (gross). If you enjoy living with rude, high 20 year-olds whose rent is being paid by their boss and therefore have no consideration or appreciation for where they live or those around them, then this is the place for you. If you prefer some sense of decency, organization and civility, look elsewhere!

Yelp
Wow! This place has changed! The lobby is completely renovated. Even the interiors are completely upgraded!

Yelp
I've lived in The Ogden for 3 years and I love it! The staff is amazing, the location is great. : ) I plan to live there for many years to come!
