Great vibes. Musty smell, but added to the vibes. Pool table and darts. Stage setup for live music, but none was playing tonight. Right along the river so a great place to stop if you’re in the area or going for a walk. Quintessential Algiers.

We are staying in Algiers for my bachelorette party and wanted to find a little dive that we could hang out at regularly. The old point DELIVERED - Cassandra the bartender was there every night and was absolutely the best. She was kind and thoughtful and went out of her way to actually buy decorations for a mini Bach celebration at the bar on Friday night. I cannot say enough good things about her - thank you SO MUCH Cassandra! We love the old point, 10/10 would recommend. God Bless Louisiana 🫡

Cool locals bar. Anyone from a small town has been in a bar like this. Feels like home. The kinda place you can leave your wallet and phone on the bar and no one touches it. The people go above to tell you about the neighborhood they are rightly so proud of. Great people. And yes we will be sending gifts. Thank you for all your help and advice

Came with a group to New Orleans and stayed in Algiers Point. This is the dive of your dreams: incredibly kind and friendly locals, high vibes and BON TEMPS. We visited almost every day to see Cassandra and she’s amazing. We had so much fun and everyone agreed this bar was the highlight of our trip. We love you Old Point, we cannot wait to come back!

Large locals bar about 6 blocks from the ferry terminal. No food, but they have 1 pool table and a stage. They also have a few video poker machines Great place to stop for a quick couple drinks.

CUTEST BAR!!! L ❤️❤️❤️ DOG FRIENDLY!!! 🐾 LOVE this cute quaint spot and the live music is amazing!!! Beers were about $5/6 bucks. Very decent prices. We took the the $2 Algiers ferry over the river and walked about the town.

We had the time of our LIVES at Old Point. We spent 3 of our 4 nights in town here, and the only reason why we didn’t go back last night was because Cassandra wasn’t working. We felt so safe and cared for at this bar. Couldn’t not recommend this place enough!
