The Old Quay House Hotel

We stayed at Old Quay House Hotel for four nights from 23rd to 27th December, and we genuinely couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more.||We booked a dog-friendly room and our little pup was made to feel completely at home. On arrival, there was a dog bed set up along with bowls for food and water, which was such a thoughtful touch.||Every single member of staff was absolutely lovely throughout our stay. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Our room was restocked daily with high-quality tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits, which never went unnoticed.||The room itself was excellent. The shower and bath were both great, and a small but brilliant detail was having an HDMI cable already set up with the TV. This made it easy for us to plug in a laptop and watch our own films in the evenings.||This was both of our first Christmases away from our families, and the whole team at the hotel really made it feel special. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and festive without ever feeling over the top.||The food was also incredible, with dining available at the on-site Samphire Restaurant. The only disappointment is that we never made it to breakfast. But the meals we did have were absolutely outstanding.||My advice to anyone visiting Fowey is simple: stay here. An all-round five-star experience, and somewhere we would return to without hesitation.

Reception - friendly and efficient welcome.|Bar - extremely helpful and polite, welcoming. Drinks presentation very special, gorgeous ambiance with river views. Comfortable and super clean.|Classic room street side - read before about noise which is expected as street side so brought war plugs. After shops close it quietened down…but noise never marred our stay at all. Room well appointed and bed very comfy. Extra pillows, bath robes, pod coffee machine, bottled still and sparking water, wide selection of bathroom products - nice little touches. Room super clean too. |Breakfast - lovely selection for all tastes. Quality food products used, hot, great coffee…service friendly and timely.|Parking - none on site, plan ahead as few car parks not far away at all. ||In all absolutely no complaints - little gem in the heart of the Fowey and would go back, recommend. Beautiful hotel in the centre of Fowey, the front of the hotel on the quaint street, the rear overlooking the water. Bedrooms are comfortable with lovely decor (quite hot though, so we had the window open all night). Lovely bed and bedding. We ate in the restaurant in the evening - the food and service was incredible, couldn’t fault it. Breakfast lovely although the ham with the eggs Benedict I’m told wasn’t the best (slippery ham!), can’t knock a star off for this as everything else was superb. Will definitely return.

We had a lovely stay at the beginning of December to celebrate my birthday. The room was exceptional - cosy and very clean with a sea view and a premium bathroom down some steps. Breakfast was one of the highlights. We were particularly impressed by the artwork throughout the hotel. Our room, the staff and location exceeded our expectations and made for a lovely stay.

What a beautiful hotel. Recently done up to a very high spec. We got upgraded to the room at the top of the hotel, which was a lot of stairs, but, oh my goodness what a view. Superlative staff and hotel, would thoroughly recommend.

The hotel has been newly refurbished and is gorgeous. The staff are lovely and the room we had was amazing. It was at the top of the hotel and had a wonderful view.

Great hotel located on the harbour with stunning views. They serve great breakfast with ample selections and the food serve for dinner was faultless - best fish and chips we have had in a long while

very good value for money and grate views over the Estuary, had Xmas lunch there and was good value. modern atmosphere . Parking is restricted, rooms were bright and facilities good.

Boutiquey(?) and stylish, great views if you are near the river end of the restaurant. Dinner 2 courses £27.50, friendly place, good for a party. No children under 12 at Dinner, ok for lunch. I go there when I'm in Cornwall. Perhaps not the polish or fine food of The Marina, but less expensive and good atmoshere friday and sat all year, most nights in summer. Lunch on their own 'quay' in the summer takes some beating, lighter lunch options.

Very charming town and very charming inn! I am in love with Fowey and this wonderful inn... the town was hard to find since you need to take a small boat ferry to get to the other side and it stops at dusk so make sure you get there in time...we where the last car on the ferry, very lucky for us...

Quite simply the my favorite place on the planet. Magical setting, wonderful service. Well priced. Can't wait to go back.
