The Old Rectory

We wanted a quick break from the city and booked ourselves to stay in The Old Rectory. The place was very homey. The breakfast included in the booking was not a buffet but very delicious and tasty. The staff were very friendly as well and is always there to give assistance when needed. It is so close in the old town and was a quick walk back after us wondering around the bay area. They can cater two cars in their parking spaces and we were lucky to avail one as most areas in the town are paid parking. Highly recommended place to stay!

We enjoyed a fabulous stay at The Old Rectory. The decor is beautiful, staff are very warm and friendly, and the two course breakfast was luxurious. We enjoyed drinks from the well equipped honesty bar. The team went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I also had a lovely treatment at the adjacent treatment rooms. I would recommend The Old Rectory to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Hastings.

We are local, but won a prize to stay here. We stayed here on new years eve in the All Saints room and to say it was impressive is an understatement. There are 2 bathrooms, one with rainfall shower and one with a roll top bath.||The room was huge as was the bed,which was really comfy and ensured a good night's sleep was had.||We were met by a lovely young lady who provided coffee on arrival and checked us in and told us about the facilities. She was still on duty the next morning to check us out and her customer service was excellent. ||Breakfast was included and I had the full English but couldn't finish it all-the sausages were massive!||We had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone and indeed would consider booking again ourselves for a special occasion

Thankyou for a wonderful stay in 'SINNOCK' room. We loved that we had a bath and seperate walk-in shower-room. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were truly looked after by everyone. Nothing was too much bother. The delicious. breakfast menu was varied and set us up for the day. We also had lunch in the cafe on our first day, followed by a massage in the treatment rooms. A totally relaxing stay!

An absolutely brilliant place to stay, quirky in the best way. The breakfast is amazing, they smoke their own fish on-site, make their own preserves, cure their own bacon and make their own sausages. The only thing I could complain about is that there's only 2 parking spaces. Other than that you need to stay here!

from the moment we turned up we felt at home. The staff were very welcoming. We decided to go to the cafe where we had a lovely coffee and home made cake. the large lounge had a lovely open fire at night and we sat there with a glass of brandy which we had from a honesty bar. Breakfast was good, rooms had loads of character which we liked. Above all I would like to thank all the staff for looking after us so well , we will be back

Stayed here for my cousin’s hen and we had the whole place rented out. First of all, the staff were amazing! Could not be more accommodating and laid back. They made everything relaxed and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and would highly recommend. Definitely going to stay again in the future.

We are so pleased to have discovered the Old Rectory. It has a style of its own, which is not unusual in Hastings, but the owners have managed to blend the original features of the building with contemporary design, all without compromising on luxury. For example, our room retained the look and feel of the Victorian era, but with a bedside radio fitted with a phone charger. And it doesn’t stop at the rooms as it is clear that a great deal of work has gone into ensuring the garden is on a par with the rest of the house. |The location on the edge of the Old Town is ideal and the breakfast a cut above the rest, but we were particularly impressed with how the staff made us feel like we were the only ones there. We weren’t, obviously, but the care given to our comfort and requirements made it feel that way. We are already planning a return trip, hopefully sooner rather than later.
