The 34 Best Hotels in Barcelona

"A bright, welcoming lobby combines cream and teal shades with warm fabrics and strikes just the right balance between contemporary and classic. Find genuine service, great food, and surprisingly spacious quarters at this centrally located five-star gem. Tech is a priority here: Chromecast is installed on the flat-screen TVs, and bedside controls to open and close the blinds and activate the do-not-disturb sign. And all rooms include access to the swanky Despacio spa, where you can slow down and relax after a day of urban exploration. You'd think a room labeled Cosy would be cramped, but I was pleasantly surprised by the sense of space. The One’s smallest room class is unconventionally expansive, with a large bathroom and king-size bed, to boot. The Cosy room probably has the best price-quality ratio of any five-star hotel room, anywhere in Barcelona." - Gemma Askham, Isabelle Kliger

Rooftops and Radical Hotel Designs in Barcelona

"The One certainly looks like the five-star hotel that it is. Across the hotel and its 89 guest rooms, there’s a lot of marble, mirrors, and gold accents, done in an elegant way." - Mark Fedeli

The One Barcelona

"How did it strike you on arrival?A bright, welcoming lobby combines cream and teal shades with warm fabrics and strikes just the right balance between contemporary and classic. What’s the crowd like?Well-traveled couples who prioritize a central location and first-rate service. Tell us about your room. You'd think a room labeled Cosy would be cramped, but I was pleasantly surprised by the sense of space. The One’s smallest room class is unconventionally expansive, with a large bathroom and king-size bed, to boot. With rates starting around $320 in low season, it's not a bad deal. If your taste veers more luxurious, the Terrace Suite Sagrada Família has its own private terrace, complete with a hot tub, chaises lounges, outdoor shower, and spectacular views of Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Família. It is also priced accordingly, starting from $1,600. How are the beds? The king-size bed comes with pure Egyptian-cotton sheets, high-end mattress with a soft feather topper, and a choice of goose-down or hypoallergenic pillows. You'll wake up feeling like a million euros. How are the in-room amenities?Tech is a priority here: Chromecast is installed on the flat-screen TVs, and bedside controls to open and close the blinds and activate the do-not-disturb sign. As for the minibar, don’t miss the local snack of choice: potato chips with Espinaler. Salty chips covered in this spicy, tangy sauce are a classic Barcelonan pre-dinner nibble, and should be sampled at least once during your stay. What's the bathroom like? The huge marble bathrooms all have spacious double washbasins and separate rain showers and toilet. The products are from Natura Bissé, a Barcelona brand. Is there Wi-Fi?Yes, free, strong Wi-Fi throughout. How's the service? The staff is smiley, and everyone goes out of their way to be helpful. It's clear this is a great place to work. Anything stand out about other services and features? All room rates include access to the elegant, relaxing Despacio spa. Somni Restaurant, led by chef Miguel Muñoz. Muñoz offers Mediterranean cuisine with an international twist, focusing on high-quality, local ingredients, Tuesday through Saturday. Guests can also eat and outside on the lovely roof terrace that is open year-round for lunch, dinner and drinks. And speaking of the roof terrace, plush lounge chairs, a plunge pool, and picture-perfect views of the city complete the five-star experience at the One. Bottom line: worth it, and why?The Cosy room probably has the best price-quality ratio of any five-star hotel room, anywhere in Barcelona." - Isabelle Kliger

I can not say enough good things about my experience at The One hotel. My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this hotel, and the service was beyond exceptional. We have never had such attentive and welcoming staff at any hotel we have ever stayed in. The check in was easy and accommodating, with the staff holding our bags until the room was ready. They called immediately when the room was ready for us. The breakfast was exceptional, with all service staff attentive and kind. I believe the staff we had every morning was named Ana who remembered our coffee and tea order exactly! The pool deck is a small space, but had wonderful views and great food/drink service. The room was a great size for our needs, and my husband were in love with the bed. We are actively trying to find pillows that were as comfy as the ones we slept on here. On check out the staff went through all charges, and got us a great taxi to get to the airport. Thank you so much for the memorable stay, and we will definitely stay again when in Barcelona!

I have zero complaints regarding our stay. This was our first time staying with this hotel chain and it will now be our preferred hotel chain. Customer service was beyond excellent. The hotel was clean and smelled amazing (both the common area and our room). The hotel restaurant food was fresh and there was care in the presentation. The location was close to high end shopping, restaurants, and bus stops with easy access to local area sites of interest. We used the hotel transportation services and the cost (it’s a little pricey) was worth the peace of mind of knowing the drivers were recommended by the hotel. They were on time, the car was in pristine condition and the drivers were professional. There was a nightly turndown service with water and house shoes being placed next to our beds and so much more (I won’t spoil the surprises). After spending a long day exploring the city, the nightly turndown service was a welcomed unexpected treat! I can go on and on but overall, I would 100% recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to visit Barcelona.

We are hotel snobs. We had 2 rooms - one for us and one for our 18 year old twins - and all rate this hotel easily as a top 3. The beds and linens are super comfortable and the bathrooms/showers are great. Breakfast is fabulous, as is the rooftop bar. The service was perfect - Raoul, Frank, David, and the rest of the crew made our stay seamless. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

We have just had the best holiday at The One Barcelona. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. All my family enjoyed being at the hotel and the rooftop bar is fantastic. I would highly recommend it here and thanks again to the staff for making us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Our stay at The One Barcelona was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The room layout was unique and thoughtfully designed—different from the standard hotel setup, but in the best possible way. We absolutely loved it. Another standout feature was the excellent sound insulation in the room, which made our stay even more relaxing and peaceful. The location couldn’t have been better, allowing easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. Service throughout our stay was consistently quick, efficient, and professional, making us feel genuinely well taken care of without ever needing to ask twice. Breakfast was another highlight. The à la carte offerings were top-notch, with fresh, high-quality options that made every morning feel like a treat. Honestly, there wasn’t a single thing we could complain about. The One Barcelona exceeded our expectations, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

Arrived early evening to the hotel and we were upgraded to a lovely room.|Although on the small side the rooms are very well appointed.|We went up to the roof top bar area to grab a drink. It was full of people taking selfies and instagramming while hotel guests couldn’t find a seat to enjoy the views and the surrounds.|Breakfast was fabulous and the location of the hotel is outstanding within walking distance to all the sights , restaurants and shopping.|We asked the concierge how long before our international flight do we need to be at the airport.|We’re told must be at least 3 hours.|So we booked our wake up call at 530am.|At 430am out wake-up call came. We arrived at the Airport 3 hours before our scheduled flight.|Only to be told that checkin does not open until 2 hours before.|Not sure why we were told to be so early |Could have had 2 hours more sleep||We arrived

This was my third visit to The One Barcelona, and the experience remains consistently excellent. From the front desk and concierge teams to the restaurant staff, everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. ||The hotel’s location is hard to beat: close to everything and within walking distance of major sights, yet the property itself feels calm and refined. My room was spotless, quiet, and comfortable, with a lovely view of the street.||After three faultless stays, The One Barcelona is now my go-to in this city, and I’m already planning to return next year. Highly recommended if you value convenience, comfort, and warm, professional service.

Google
Excellent hotel. Already the air you breath once you come at the reception tells you the cleanliness, staff very professional and consierge operational and trustworthy. Even the breakfast stood out of others I've seen with healthier options.

Yelp
Pretty view, although we were seated in the lower area and had to get up to actually see the view. But the staff was friendly and the food was decent. Prices seemed just a little high in comparison to other places where I've ordered small plates. While I wouldn't rush to return, I was not unhappy with the visit.

Yelp
We visited the Mood Rooftop Restaurant and Bar at the One Barcelona Hotel a couple of times. The food and drinks that we had at the restaurant were definitely five-star. We had some small issues with service not checking back with us for more drinks or food. We actually had to stand up and get their attention verbally. We had the avocado roll with lobster and coconut cream and the Burrata salad, both of which were exceptional. Our Porn Star martini and Barbie cocktail were very tasty. For dessert, we had the chocolate churros, which really hit the spot. From the dining section, there really isn't much of a view. But from the bar section of the rooftop, it has a nice view of the city and the Sagrada Familia. The hotel's location is very good, but overall, we were disappointed with the hotel, especially considering the high rating it received. The square footage of our Deluxe Barcelona room seems much smaller than what is advertised. When you enter the room's front door, you immediately enter the bathroom. We could not get hot water from the shower, only warm, but you could get great hot water from the bathroom sink. The room was very clean, and the bedding was extremely nice. To look into the closet, you have to slide the door over, which blocks anybody from coming from the bedroom into the bathroom. The same is true when you open up the minibar area. It is just the strangest design of a hotel room we have ever seen. It would also be nice to have more electrical outlets in our room. On the plus side, we did have two bathroom sinks. We opted to have the included breakfast in our room price. It was good, and the service was fine. The concierge did a very good job in finding us tickets to the Sagrada Familia, a massive basilica that started being built in 1882. It is the world's largest unfinished catholic church and will have 18 towers when completed. You have to buy tickets way in advance, which we hadn't, for entry into this amazing edifice.

Yelp
Nice boutique hotel with a central location. Great roof top restaurant/bar - shout out to our favorite server Thania and the best bartender David. Rooms were a bit dark but comfortable.

Yelp
Karen Spood loves this place. It had great service and ambience. I am from Nice and visit Barcelona many times.

Yelp
Fantastic boutique hotel in great location. The rooms and service were all outstanding. All the staff were super helpful. Rooftop pool is really nice. Rooms and common areas all really well done. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
The Mood Bar in this hotel is a 0 star rating. The staff was extremely rude, arrogant, and ignorant. The worst dining experience my group has ever experienced. Don't spend your money there, especially if you traveling from another country. I was traveling with a group from America and Spain (they thought we were all American) and talked s*** about us right in front of our table from the moment we stepped in. They did not realize that half of our group spoke and understood Spanish and they said terrible things about their customers. We were going to get food there, but we were too uncomfortable to continue dining. It is truly an awful place with horrible staff.

Yelp
What a splendid high-class hotel in the heart of Barcelona: very central but not right in the middle of annoying tourist streams, inviting scent at the entrance that fills the entire air-conditioned lobby to seek refuge after walking in the hot-humid city, extremely charming staff at all levels, roof-top bar with pool, wonderful rooms with attentive service, and and and .... Very important is also a beautiful entrance-level restaurant merging food/lobby/comfort zone/museum all at once: nice food choices in midst of beautiful original Miró's on display... Definitely a great choice when coming back to Barcelona which this time really conquered my heart! P.S. ... would not recommend to touch the Miró's as they are heavily secured ...

Yelp
With the 5 star hotel rating and the price point, I really expected more from you, One Hotel. There were a variety of misgivings and the most disturbing is that someone went into my room and stole all my cash (both in euros and dollars) from two separate purses. I had over 100 euros stashed in a mesh travel bag in my purse on a chair that I did not touch at all since I landed at the airport and exchanged currency. I had another 20 euros stashed in my brown backpack to specifically use for the market and both were missing. There were some other weird interactions where on the first night, my girlfriend in a separate room just checked in and we left to grab coffee to come back and find a housekeeper saying she found her shirt stuck in a corner. This was really odd because the shirt was definitely in her luggage that was opened but not unpacked. It felt like the housekeeper was going through her things and she decided to put a do not disturb from that point on. (I wish we had done the same) On the second and third nights, one of the elevators was not working and let me tell you that the elevators in europe can hold maximum of four to five people per ride so that meant we were waiting for a long time to even get downstairs. A few of us would try to climb up and down the stairs if we saw a long line build up, but our keycards didn't even work for our corresponding floors. It was super frustrating being locked out in the stairwell and having to call our friends to grab us (if they were in their rooms). Another thing to note is the lack of staff at a supposedly 5 star hotel. My girlfriend booked massages in their spa and she said it wasn't very friendly. There was no concierge to book her appointment and instead they said to just meet her there at this time. No explanation of whether she could partake in the spa amenities and she said it was an awkward layout to the massage room. Overall, I expected A LOT more for the price point and accolades. I would never recommend to come back here again.
