The Best New Under-the-Radar Restaurant Openings in Loss Angeles, July 2025 | Eater LA

"A new Korean restaurant specializing in pig trotters, this Koreatown spot opened in June and focuses on three types of jokbal — spicy, barbecue, and garlic — available on their own or in combinations with rice balls and bossam; the menu also includes tteokbokki, a spicy buckwheat noodle salad, and build-your-own rice balls." - Rebecca Roland

Google
I went here on Christmas Eve, and honestly, it’s been so hard to find a good place in LA that serves meaty, flavorful spicy jokbal. After the one spot I used to love closed, I hadn’t found a replacement—until this place opened. I went immediately. I ordered the spicy jokbal (level 1), and it was absolutely perfect. I enjoy spicy food but don’t like it when it’s overwhelmingly hot, and this level was spot on—great heat with amazing flavor. The jokbal itself was delicious and cooked perfectly. We ordered a combo, and the bossam that came with it was incredible too, with a really nice smoky flavor. All of the side dishes were great, especially the water kimchi, which was refreshing and balanced just right. The restaurant itself is very clean, including the restroom (which always matters). The atmosphere works well whether you’re coming for a meal or drinks, and I especially loved the semi-outdoor seating with a pojangmacha-style vibe—personally, that’s totally my thing. Overall, the food was excellent, the flavors were on point, and the space was comfortable and welcoming. I’m definitely planning to become a regular.

Food was flavorful and spicy. However, it was a bit sweet for me. They charged a couple dollars for level of spiciness which I didn’t aware of. On the menu, there’s an option for spiciness from 1, 2, and 3 without mentioning any extra charge. I chose level 2 and ended up paying extra for spiciness. Hopefully, they mentioned on the menu for extra charge in the future for spicy in terms of transparency.

Definitely worth checking out if you're into jokbal. The pork is done well and they do it a few different ways — garlic, BBQ, and spicy. I liked the half-and-half combo since you get to try a mix. We got the spicy and BBQ. The sides are solid too: the spicy noodle salad, rice balls you roll at the table, bossam, fish cake soup were all good. I liked combining the meat with the noodle salad and the rice balls. The spicy pork was the highlight for me, and the different sauces they had, I really liked. Service was fine, food took a little time, but it makes sense since it comes out fresh. Nothing overly fancy, just solid jokbal and a good spot if you’re in the area and craving it.

If you love Korean comfort food, you have to check out The One Jokbal in LA’s Koreatown🐷✨ We got their Half & Half Combo with BBQ & Spicy Jokbal — tender, flavorful pork trotters packed with collagen (hello, skin glow💅) It also comes with a fun DIY rice ball setup and bossam wraps, so you can get creative with every bite🤤 We also tried their Spicy Noodle Salad — chilled buckwheat noodles tossed in a zesty, spicy sauce with fresh veggies — and of course, Ttokbokki, that chewy, spicy-sweet classic we can never resist🔥

First time visited with a bit of hesitation since it was only 2 reviews, but the Spicy + BBQ pork knuckles and the DIY rice didn’t fail us. Must try!!

Yelp
This place is the original when it comes to spicy jokbal! Even if you can't handle spicy food, they have a half-and-half option so everyone can enjoy together. The Nakji Galbitang is also deliciously spicy and full of flavor. It's great for takeout too. The only thing I wish is that the portions were a bit larger.

Yelp
We got the jokbal combo (half regular, half spicy Level 2), and wow - the portions are no joke. We're two people who usually eat a lot, and we still had leftovers to take home Flavor-wise? Absolutely killer. The jokbal was tender, flavorful, and the spicy one had just the right level of kick without overwhelming the taste. But the real secret weapon? The dipping sauce. Wrap a piece of meat in some veggies, dip it in that sauce... you'll understand why I'm calling it ssam heaven. This time, we also tried the steamed egg for the first time, and hallelujah. So soft, so fluffy, so dreamy. As a lifelong steamed egg lover, I started drooling just looking at the photo afterwards I swear I could eat 10 bowls of it and still want more. We also ordered the mussel soup , and it was the perfect move. After a few bites of spicy jokbal, the warm, clean broth was exactly what we needed to reset the palate. Super refreshing, super comforting, and honestly, it made the soju go down way too easy. Dangerous combo The manager is always so friendly and welcoming, super down-to-earth and warm. Her energy makes the place feel extra homey, and we always leave with a smile. It's that kind of genuine service you can't fake. Bonus: It's in a shopping plaza with its own parking lot which, let's be honest, feels like a total miracle in K-town. No circling the block 8 times. No valet stress. Just park and eat. Absolute heaven.

Yelp
7/26/2025 - My family member invited me to have an authentic Korean dinner at K-town tonight. Upon having this Pork Hock and Feet, also known as Jokbal in Korea, for the first time, I loved it right away. The waitress showed us how to wrap the meats with a thin sweet radish wrap or lettuce. This dish comes with complimentary two appetizers (Corn Jelly and salad) and one White Kimchi Soup. The services are excellent! A complimentary parking is available in front of the restaurant.

Yelp
It's best jokbal in k-town. Very professional management. If you make one stop. Will be make more stop here.

Yelp
I wasn't sure I would like this but I was super surprised. Had the combo spicy and garlic. Plan to go back soon to try bbq too. Very good somewhat hidden spot in ktown. Reasonable price and great food.

Yelp
First time came and love it already. The meat so tender and tasty. And the price is much lower compared to the others, server was also very sweet, Will definitely come again.

Yelp
Sooo good! I loved how fresh the veggies and side dishes were and especially liked the sauces they give, one tastes like kiwi dressing and another like wasabi mayo. I got the half half spicy and bbq jokbal, perfect size for 2 or 3.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best jokbal spots in K-Town! This place really stands out from the rest. We ordered the spicy jokbal (level 2), pork skin, and rice balls and everything was absolutely delicious. The jokbal was incredibly tender, perfectly cooked, and the spicy sauce was so flavorful. The sides and dipping sauces complemented the dish beautifully. The grilled pork skin was also seasoned and cooked to perfection (ladies, pork skin is a collagen bomb). They're planning to add melted cheese as a side option soon, which will take it to another level. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
The food has no business being this good. We got the combo and it was a ton of food for two people. The pickles were the best I've had in a long time if ever. I would go back just for those. The meat was perfect. We got the spicy level 1 which was barely spicy but that was fine and the barbecue which dipped in all the sauces was a flavor bomb. Get the combo because the rice balls were ridiculous. Paired with a Krush&soju it was the perfect dinner. The service was also fantastic - our waitress was very cool. Good value too.

Yelp
Great people and delicious food made a perfect night--spicy jokbal was absolutely amazing!

Yelp
Came here and got the Half & Half Combo, DIY Rice ball and also the army stew. Although they are specialized in jokbal, the army stew went perfect along with it. This spot is for sure my new favorite jokbal restaurant in ktown. Perfect to go with family or friends, they also have a very wide variety of soju and beer. The server Eric helped out greatly and was very respectful!

Yelp
The food was amazing!! I came here with my son and daughter and they loved it too. Super friendly staff and easy parking! We will definitely come here again :)

Yelp
Came in for dinner with my two children and we loved how great it was. They knew we didn't exactly understand the Korean so they helped us pick a few dishes. I wanted spicy and was not disappointed. Thank you!

Urim C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed everything--the food, the atmosphere, and the service--so I'll definitely be coming back again soon.
