The Original Big Daddy's - Review - College Park - Atlanta - The Infatuation
"Yes, there are enough Big Daddy’s around Atlanta to start a fantasy league. This one is connected to the location on Campbellton Road (and not the one on Cascade). Everything about this Big Daddy’s on Old National is huge—the dining space, the buffet line that wraps around the back wall, the menu, and the portions. Come here for solid soul food when you need enough food to satisfy a family reunion, a football team, or both. The food gets the job done, with heavily seasoned jerk wings, massive BBQ chicken wings, and semi-sweet potato salad as the standouts. Take your container of food to eat alongside lunchtime regulars still in uniform, families with elders in tow, and neighbors looking to fill up on familiar comfort food.
Food Rundown
Jerk Wings
These flats and drums won’t change your life, but they’re solid. They're heavy on the spicy jerk seasoning, and there’ll probably be enough left over to reconsider them after a reheat in the air fryer.
BBQ Wings
These whole wings are huge—like they came off a velociraptor. They’re drenched in sweet BBQ sauce, and you’ll need napkins. They’re fine, especially if you’ve got a few mouths to feed.
Spaghetti
Saucy garlicky, meaty, and old-school. It’s put-the-whole-pot-in-the-refrigerator comforting.
Potato Salad
A decent side order with your wings, this chunky potato salad is slightly sweet and creamy.
Yams
No surprises here—they’re sweet, soft, and exactly what you want next to a big piece of chicken." - Jacinta Howard
