First time trying this restaurant, had read & been told it was good with large portions. Ok, 1st of all i went on a Sunday ( bad idea fyi). The line was 30 people at least deep. You are standing in line to get your to go plate to takeout or dine in, sort of like Piccadilly, except for the to go plates.
On to the food, i ordered my usual go to soul food items. They have daily specials & Sundays is baked chicken & cornbread dressing (my favorite), + 2 sides w/a muffin. Also peach cobbler for the sweet tooth. Total $21 something + tip if you so choose. Glad i didn't after the fact.
The baked chicken breast, mac 'cheese were waaaay too salty for my tastes,& the chicken was seasones with something lemon peppery tasting, not a fan, the greens & muffin were ok, as was the cobbler. But, Overall i was very disappointed. I could have paid about $13 or so at Annie Laura's and would have been satisfied, or even Busy Bee for about the same price range as Big Daddy's and had NO leftovers.
Hate my decision when i decide to try a new place & it turns out to be a 5 out of 10, and that's being generous.
Can't recommend, but maybe your experience will be different, everyone else seemed to be satisfied with it all, maybe i sadly just ordered the wrong thing.
