The Original Bonga Homemade Restaurant

I wasn’t particularly a fan of 아구찜 (spicy monkfish) as it’s usually too salty for my taste. However, my mum’s friend really wanted to treat me to this dish at a specific place, so we went. It completely changed my mind about 아구찜. This version wasn’t salty at all, and I could even eat it on its own. We didn’t need rice, but we did make fried rice with the leftover sauce afterward—a typical Korean way to end the meal. There was plenty of monkfish, much more than in other places I’ve been, and there was also a special part (my mum said it was the fish’s internal organ). The bean sprouts were fresh and crispy. Side dishes are also great! I’m so glad we went! We arrived around 3 p.m. on a weekday and got a table right away. They mentioned, though, that there’s usually a long wait during meal times, especially on weekends.

This restaurant's speciality is "haemuljjim", spicy braised seafood. For a foreigner, I never had this kind of food but I'm always open to try. They serve a full table of refillable banchan (side dishes). My favorite is the fried chili and the salad. They also give each table of 2 people, a one-time serving of gyeran jjim (steamed egg). You can order the second serving for a fee. The steamed egg was very custardy, it's amazing! Haemuljjim is served in this huge platter. There's octopus, crabs, shells, sea squirt, fish, beans sprouts mixed in their spicy sauce. It's not super spicy but it has a kick in it. I'm not a fan of the sea squirt but all the other seafood was good. We did not finish our platter and we had the rest to go. We also requested for bokkeum bap (fried rice). They will use some of the sauce from the haemuljjim and mix it with rice - that was really good too! Overall, I enjoyed this meal! Non-Koreans will definitely love it too!

Excellent smoky 낙지볶음, 반찬 is clean and fresh Ladies are in a mad rush so lacking in some social graces but within normal bounds.

■방문 _2022.08.09 (15명) ■메뉴_해물탕 대 2개120000원, 해물찜 대 순한맛 60000원, 아구찜 대 매운맛 60000원, 코다리찜 32000원, 갈치조림 10000원, 음료, 맥주, 소주 여러병 코다리찜 달짝지근해서 맛있고(달달한 음식 싫어하는 사람은 호불호 있을수 있음), 무랑 오징어, 곤이까지 들어있어서 골라 먹는 재미도 있어요. 그리고 미역국은 늘 맛있었는데 미역이 좀 질겨진 느낌이라 아쉽더라구요 해물찜을 순한맛 으로 주문해서 그랬는지 좀 아쉬웠고, 아구찜은 매운맛이라 확실히 칼칼하고 매웠어요. 맵찔이를 위해 순한맛을 시켰는데 그냥 그친구는 작은걸로 하나 따로 시켜줄걸 그랬어요ㅎㅎ 찜 보다 탕이 더 맛있었고, 워낙에 양이 많다보니 같이 간 지인들도 가성비 쩐다며 놀라더라구요. 괜히 어깨힘 빡 들어감ㅋㅋㅋ 갈치조림도 가격 저렴하고 맛있어요~ 전에는 부대찌개 자주 먹었었는데 요것도 맛있음~! 부족한 거 보다 넉넉하게 먹는걸 좋아하는 무리거든요. 너무 많이 시켜서 찜이랑 아구찜은 포장해 왔어요!

맛있어서 자주 가는 맛집이였는데 코로나이후 배달 시켜 먹어요 가게로 전화하면 현금 계산 얘기하면 중사이즈 배달비없이 45000원에 갖다줘요^^ 원래는 서비스로 고추부각 주시는데(매콤하고 맛있어요)아이는 먹을것 없을것같아서 미역국으로 변경 요청했는데 아이 먹이라고 미역군도 많이 주시고 계란찜이랑 백김치도 챙겨주셨어요 모든 메뉴가 맛도 너무 맛있지만 세심함에 너무 감동했어요♡ 해물찜 중사이즈인데 양도 엄청 많고 적당하게 매콤하고 너무너무 맛있어요 부천에서 제일 좋아하는 가게입니다♡♡♡

주인장도 정감있고 ! 싱싱한 해물의 맛도 좋고 양도 푸짐 ! 기본 반찬도 정갈 ! 소주를 부르는 곳인듯 ! 주차가 불편한것 빼고는 모든면에서 만족 !

해물찜, 철판낙지로는 경인지역 1등!! 메인은 칭찬할 가성비, 기본 찬 직접 만들고(여러 번 봤음) 정갈한 편이지만 바빠서 대단한 서비스 기대는 금물 점심, 저녁 항상 사람 많고 정말 심각하게 시끄럽지만 그걸 이겨내는 맛. 물텀벙 유명한 곳들 보다도 훨씬 싱싱하고 맛있으며, 해물찜은 다양한 해산물이 푸짐하게 들어가 좋음. 술 없이 식사만 할 거면 포장 추천, 밥만 먹기엔 체할 정도의 소음이라...포장(중)은 현금 결제 시 5천원 할인해주니 현금영수증 보다 이득이라 좋음. 대신 기본 찬 중 제일 맛있는 고추부각은 포장 안 해주는 게 원칙! 말 예쁘게 하고 빌고 빌면 또 가끔은 해주니 알아서들~ 제일 중요한 주차는 주택가로 주민들의 신고정신이 투철한 동네니 알아서 잘...개인의 능력^^ 양은 중-다른 곳 ‘대’ 정도로 3인이 배 불러 미침, 대-다른 곳 ‘특대’ 정도로 나오며 5~6인 배 부름. *아쉬운 점: 노래방을 넘어서는 극딜 소음, 모든 상 좌식, 주차......하지만 포장하는 순간 아쉬움 1도 없는 저 세상 맛집임은 분명함! 사장님이 다른 곳 주방 맡았을 때부터 다니던 찐성골로서 다른 데 맛난 데 가봐도 여기로 다시 컴백하며 10년 정도 해물찜은 여기서만 먹음.
