I wanted to do 0 stars but i have to put one so I can post this. Food, service, ambiance.... would love to comment on all of the above but unfortunately was rudly turned away, profiled, and denied service for absolutely no legit reason moments after we had sat down. As a person who has professionally worked in the food industry for the past 15 years, this service is disgusting and I cannot believe the immaturity and lack of professionalism. After asking our server a question, I was met with an intense attitude and immediately realized I was the target of negative energy and immaturity. After our party of 3 (24, 25 and 31), all ordered a round of drinks, we were ID'ed, totally normal. A few moments later our rude server disappeared and we were approached by a worker who looked like he couldn't be more than 17 years old, who said he needed to recheck our IDs. Weird, but we understand it's senior week so we complied. we were left sitting for close to 20 minutes, no IDs, no server, no asking if we wanted food, nothing. We asked the child worker if we could have our IDs back as he passed by, and he said they were just "double checking" them. Finally our rude and obviously unhappy server brings back our IDs and says she cannot serve us. Doesn't ask if we still want to order food, just kept saying she can't serve us. No reason given. We ask for her manager and he comes over and says one of our IDs "looked weird" but he could not point out any details on the ID that allegedly looked weird. We asked him which ID out of the 3 looked weird, and he wouldn't tell us at first. Finally, he said it was the 1992 ID. The 1992 ID???? you're kidding me. I'm 31 years old and look like it too. My girlfriend and her friend are 24 and 25, we're all covered in tattoos, like again I know it's senior week but come on. He was stumbling all over his words trying to make up an excuse as to why my ID looked weird. once again he kept saying he couldnt serve us, never asked if we wanted to still get food, nothing. So we left. I am still in shock at how we were sat, greeted by a server with an awful attitude who clearly did not want to serve us from the start, and then saw as the Green Turtle staff all worked together to get us to leave by claiming our IDs were strange and they wouldn't serve us. My girlfriend and her friend are long time OC locals and have never had a good experience at the Green Turtle. We thought we would try it out tonight, but we were proved right as our server essentially kicked us out because she didn't like that I asked her a question upon our first interactions, and there on out refused to serve us. She just had to make her staff play along and act as though my ID was a fake, even though I am 31 years old. We kept looking around at all the high school kids in the bar and restaurant, and were wondering how many actual fake IDs they've taken tonight Without a second thought. The dining experience was the worst I've ever had in my 31 years of life. Green turtle is a disgrace to Ocean City and everywhere else in Maryland. Disgusting.
