The Original Hot Dog Factory - Halcyon

This place surprised me. Service was very friendly and rapid. The hot dog was one of the best quality I've ever had. Had that perfect snap. The Chicago dog blows Bobby G's out of the water on flavor and price. Onion rings were delicious and they had a nice drink selection. Would definitely return.

If I could give 10 Stars I would!!!!! Immediately knew the food would be aMazing because the Staff had great customer service!!! Tried the wings (lemon pepper & bbq) , smash burger, & onion rings & they were delicious 🤤🤤 the Sauce is super yummy!!! 10/10 recommend

This place is located in a food court within a multi use entertainment district. There is a parking garage and free parking as well. We got Memphis & Chicago Hot dogs with Loaded fries. The buns were hot, nice, and crispy. Loved it! We'll be back.

Service was very slow. The hot dog was just OK. The onion rings were overcooked--almost burned. We spent $15 each for a hot dog, onion rings, and a soda. And they wanted us to add a tip for counter service! This is a great place to avoid.

I not fond of the outdoor food market, but that’s my preference. But everything else was Amazing! I had Jamaican Jerk Chicken Dog, Augusta Cheese Dog, Factory Loaded Fries and Fried Oreos. Everything was delicious, each one better than the last. I def recommend for non traditional hotdogs.

I have been wanting to try this place since I see it on TV all the time and I've seen so many locations pop up throughout Atlanta. I came on a Thursday at about 2:30pm so I could avoid traffic and a crowd. I'm dieting so I had done my research prior and decided I wanted to try a Jamaican Jerk Dog since it was mad from chicken and didn't have too many heavy toppings. I was worried that it might be too spicy but it was great. I also had a Lemon Berry Acai pop to drink. I enjoyed all of the unique drink flavors served here. It really made the establishment stand out. I noticed that they have a full bar and considered getting a drink but since I still had meetings to go to, I opted to hold off on day drinking. While talking with the staff, I found out that they will be having a big event for National Hot Dog day on July 21st with a DJ and things for kids. I definitely plan to come back and hit up that bar.

The first time I had food here it was amazing! Today I placed an order that was confirmed, and when my husband went to pick it up - the entire stall was closed. Lights off, shut down. But my order went through, it was confirmed, I was given a pick up number and my card was charged. I called the number listed and it rang until it said call box full. VERY disappointed and likely will not return. If you close early — make sure to stop accepting orders. Edit: I stand by my 1 star. What a horrible response. Temperance and kindness are “virtues” this business obviously lacks. Closing early and not updating the services you use for take out is absolutely within your control.

Better than expected! After living most of my life in Chicago, I've eaten more than a few hot dogs. The Chicago dog was good but not entirely authentic as it was grilled and the bun was toasted not steamed. The onion rings came out very hot and crispy. We went at a quiet time on a Monday but I could see this place being very busy on a Friday or weekend. If you don't see it from the parking lot that is because it is inside of a food hall and not a standalone shop.

HOT DIGGITY DOG | the options in the food court at the Halcyon seem to come and go, but the Hot Dog Factory is still here and going strong. We ordered from a couple vendors one day, including the Hot Dog Factory. We decided to share the Taco Dog, which really felt like a full meal for two (ok not really, but it was really loaded). I'm not sure the combination of ingredients worked for me but it was definitely super interesting and made for a fun Instagram photo. Next time I'm craving a hot dog and in the Halcyon area, I'll be looking in Hot Dog Factory's direction!

We came here last night on a Friday night Halcyon was booming with mother's day weekend! We decided to eat in the food hall which houses many eateries including this one. I purchased a combo here because I saw they carry stubborn soda and those sodas are so good! I loved the pineapple cream soda but tbh the vanilla is just as good. Ordered the Chicago hot dog combo & the fries taste soo fresh & really nice crunchy outside, soft inside! Yum! The hot dog itself is not a Vienna, disappointing but it was still really good. Our friend tried the jerk chicken dog & said it was pretty good too. Another friend ended up eating 2 hot dogs but he ate them so fast, I'm not sure what kind they were Staff were so friendly & patient! Parking is Available all over halcyon in small lots + the deck which will be full because this shopping center is so popular

Service was ok. Good no good. Burnt wings. Yes burnt. Had wrong sauce Would not go back.

Located inside the food hall at the Halcyon, it's the newest restaurant to open up. I came on their grand opening day and they were offering free all American hot dogs for the first 100 customers. The wait in line wasn't too terrible. I was greeted with a smile and ordered my hot dog. Checked out the menu as I waited on my food. Theres plenty of different styles and toppings I feel like everyone can find something here, as long as you like hot dogs. The hot dog itself was so delicious!! There was a great flavor and nice bite to it. Perfect size, and toppings were complimentary. I want to come back and try others soon ! I wish them all the best !

Taste is okay. Hot dog size is small and not filling. Wouldn't come back again, other shops in the market have better options.

The place was packed due to Cinco de Mayo celebrations, so we opted for to-go. This time we tried their Jamaican Jerk Chicken Dog combo with Sweet Potato Fries and Root beer. You can get decent hot dogs (beef) anywhere, but very few places make chicken dogs good, and this place is definitely one of them. Chicken dog was super juicy and delicious. The only problem was till we got home, all the juices were socked by the bun and made it soggy, nonetheless it was absolutely delicious, and one of the best chicken dogs I've had to date. Disappointed by the sweet potato fries. They were soft and lacked seasoning. That's the only reason I gave this place 4 stars. We'll be back soon for more.

I was excited to finally try The Original Hot Dog Factory as I love a good hotdog but was sorely letdown. It's a cool concept offering hotdogs of assorted toppings. I wanted to get a basic hotdog to truly taste the ingredients and quality. I got the All-American with ketchup, mustard and fries served with a black cherry fountain drink (they do not serve Coke, Sprite, etc.). The drink was unique but tasted flat. I was not offered any ketchup with my fries and the condiments are behind the counter so I just ate them plain. The fries were fresh but not flavorful. The hotdog and bun quality was lackluster. Very small hotdog and the bun was not a quality bread. Not the juicy, flavorful hotdog I was expecting to bite into.

Spirit list extremely impressive, service amazing, and the food is surprisingly great. Always make friends when sitting at the bar adding to the ambiance. My go to spot after work on Friday's.

I was so bummed after my experience at TOHDF. I came here on a week night eager to see what they had to offer. Their space in the Halcyon Market Hall was the only one that had a line to order, so I took this as a good sign! I don't know if I was just extremely hungry or what, but I felt like my entire experience here was spent waiting: waiting to order & waiting for my food. Both seemed to take longer than usual. When I got my All American hotdog with sweet potato fries, I was seriously underwhelmed. The hotdog looked like one that could have been served at a sports stadium or gas station roller. For a combo that I paid 8+ dollars for, I was expecting a bigger size hotdog, fluffier bun, and a lot more toppings! The taste really wasn't there for me either, especially with the sweet potato fries. They honestly had no taste and were not my favorite. I did not eat most them and I am typically a member of the clean plate club. The combo comes with a drink, but getting refills is a pain because you have to get back in the long line to get one. I also wanted more condiments for my hotdog and fries, but you guessed it, they don't have them easily accessible, so you have to get back in line. Overall, I don't think you get what you pay for here.

This was my first visit to the hot dog factory. The hot dog was fine but not great. I ordered the LA dog and Carolina dog. The thing I didn't care much for was the chili on the dog. Tasted almost like hormel can chili. One other thing that was disappointing was that in the picture there is tons of slaw on the Carolina dog but in actuality not so much. I will say the onion rings and fries were really good. The onion rings taste like beer battered onion rings and there is actually an onion in it.

Expensive and not very good. I am one to seek out hotdogs, but this place just doesn't have good tasting hotdogs I'd rather go to Costco and get a cheap and better tasting hot dog. I have been to this location a handful of times with the hope that I will have a better experience (food tasting-wise) with each visit, but I am consistently left unimpressed and with regret that I keep wasting money on this place. If you are looking for a good tasting hotdog at a reasonable price, then avoid this place. Unfortunately, the Halcyon Market Hall has some pretty bad restaurants. CT and Sweet Tuna have been the best.

Located at the Halcycon food court, this fast food joint serves a multitude of hot dogs with all sorts of toppings and configurations. Had the slaw dog and the surf and turf and they were both delicious. Will come back for sure.

Not bad, but not great. Just average. I agree with other reviews, the presentation and flavor just doesn't match the price point. Hopefully they will take note of the comments and try harder. Village Burger does it right; not fancy just delicious.

The owner served us and was incredible. I was u sure if what to get because he had so many different options and he pointed me in the right direction with the surf and turf dog. Great environment, great food and fast and amazing service.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon very friendly owner - ordered the Chicago, the Detroit and the Polish along with chili cheese fries to go. All food was packed well, made to order (no onions on the Detroit) and tasted great! Will definitely be back and do recommend!

Food was good but took about 30 minutes for them to produce a small hot dog and fries. Definitely not worth the wait when there are so many other options around. The only saving grace was the fried oreos which were delicious, but also took 30 minutes to come out.

First time today to dine at The Hot Dog Factory. Service and food was on point! Enjoyed having an "adult" hotdog at a dining establishment. Will definitely be back!

I like to study a menu online before I go...I'm a slow reader and I have a hard time picking what to order, so it gives me plenty of time without distractions. Their online menu is confusing in places, incomplete, and the prices are not correct. I got there ready to order but found the prices quite a bit higher and some added charges that I didn't expect. The food was good but I didn't think it was worth the higher-than-expected prices. I ordered wings with the island sauce. They were good, but 1 of the 6 wings was so small (maybe 1 1/4"). At about $1.67 per wing that's too small. The other 5 were not big either, but they were small to average. Good food, but I'm NOT rich and don't have money to burn. If I'm going to spend what I did there, I want something better than hot dogs and wings. Sorry, not worth it!

I recently dined here for dinner and it was very busy. The line was long but it moved very fast and the order came out very fast as well. The people working there were very nice and helpful considering how busy they were. The hot dogs were very flavorful but the portions were very small. I am not a person who eats a lot of food but even I thought the portions were small. I recommend ordering at least two hot dogs to fill yourself up and ordering a side dish. Or just going for lunch. Overall, we will return.

They really care about the product that they are putting in front of patrons. We've been here now a few times and they have been consistently giving quality and great service. I love the family vibes that Izzy and his wife give with each experience. They learn their customers names and make it more of a home type of experience. The hotdogs are amazing quality. Not only that they have something for everyone. A huge selection, even for someone like me that doesn't eat beef or pork. My wife frequently gets the August dog with Pimento cheese and bacon. Real bacon comes on the dog. Probably one of the best. The chicken dog can be substituted with any of their hotdogs. I had the Jamaican chicken dog and it was a flavor explosion. The undercover main event here are the wings. They are seasoned all the way through and honestly some of the best I've had since I left Stone Mountain/Snellville. Don't sleep on the vegetarian options as I had the impossible burger and it was juicy, flavorful, and comparable to the real thing. I intend on trying all of the dogs. Good people and good food.
